About the author
Suanne Laqueur
28 books1,585 followersA former professional dancer and teacher, Suanne Laqueur went from choreographing music to choreographing words, writing stories that appeal to the passions of all readers, crossing gender, age and genre. As a devoted mental health advocate, her novels focus on both romantic and familial relationships, as well as psychology, PTSD and generational trauma.
Laqueur’s novel An Exaltation of Larks was the grand prize winner in the 2017 Writer’s Digest Book Awards and took first place in the 2019 North Street Book Prize. Her debut novel The Man I Love won a gold medal in the 2015 Readers’ Favorite Book Awards and was named Best Debut in the Feathered Quill Book Awards. Her follow-up novel, Give Me Your Answer True, was also a gold medal winner at the 2016 RFBA.
Laqueur graduated from Alfred University with a double major in dance and theater. She taught at the Carol Bierman School of Ballet Arts in Croton-on-Hudson for ten years. An avid reader, cook and gardener, she started her blog EatsReadsThinks in 2010.
Suanne lives in Westchester County, New York with her husband and two children.

REVIEW: Decent depiction of a phone sex encounter between two people who’ve only met face-to-face once, a week ago. I couldn’t help but get pulled out of the 🌶 with talk of how big or pretty things were when they literally have zero clue what those things look like.

REVIEW: I guess since the author is a fireman, he was able to capture the emotions coming out of a life threatening fire with brutal accuracy. This story is nothing like the others. It’s not erotica. It’s a sweet first kiss between lovers who were almost stolen from each other by fire.

Long-distance lovers getting satisfaction from phone sex. I found the dialogue a bit awkward.
Direct Me by Jon Andrew | 3.75 stars
A man whose job was to lead others craved to release control. Faux forbidden M/M story that’s started well and heading in the right direction but ended awkwardly abrupt.
A Little Supper by Arden Aoide | 4 stars
A couple desperate for a release resulted in semi-public acts. I liked how I can feel their needs for each other.

I guess not. her words are gems. sparkling, multicolored, multifaceted reflecting light in all directions. the ceiling of my heart is alight with stars when her words dance around in it.

These stories deliver sizzling hot erotic thrill in few words and also manage to deliver feels and emotions. These are perfect food for your dirty cravings when you need a fast and hot romance.
These books cover a diverse topics by a diverse group of authors. And here is something for everyone. I am going to talk about some of my favorites.
Love Me Free by Willow Aster was suprisingly angsty and left a pang in my heart. I want to read more of this unrequited love story!
Dark Prince by Stevie J Cole was dark, twisted and all kinds of deviant. Chloé is running from Nicholas Van Cleeve..the rich monster who has kidnapped her and abused her and yet a dark part of her is attracted to him. It was sultry and forbidden and absolutely delicious.
Peep by Auden Dar brings the taboo of wanting someone out of reach and the shivering sinful vibes of exhibitionism to some extent. Sinful and filthy perfection.
Fusion by Abigail Davies was a hot and decadent rockstar romance that happened in the adrenaline fuelled concert night between lead singer Payne and the fierce woman named Aiden who caught his eyes among crazy crowd.
Challenge Accepted by Dee Garcia was a sweet and steamy FF romance between Ren and Kels. It's just a piece of their beautiful love and I want more!
Pretty Patience by JR Gray was a heartwarming MM rockstar romance! Marcus and Alister are soulmates and you can feel their connection instantly!
Undeniable by Autumn Grey gave me life!! Her words are so pretty and she delivered an angsty forbidden pantymelting hot MM romance between Easton and his doctor aka his father's best friend Liam. I NEED MORE!
An Awakening by AM Johsnon will show you just how powerful her writing is. A complex exploration of a young man's feelings and sexual identity struggles made me ache so much!
Plunge by Nina G Jones was absolutely hot and taboo because best friend's mother isn't an easy trope. And she managed to make it beautiful and steamy balancing everything.
What can I say about Stevie+Monty by Yolanda Olson? Dark. Perverse. Forbidden. Dirty. Pushing your boundaries. And I need to know what happens next!
Goodbye by Cynthia A. Rodriguez isn't only age gap or taboo of teacher/student..it left a hole in my heart. Because irrespective of their connection and physical desire, it was one explosive goodbye only.
JR Rogue gave me a heart attack in Breath Work and I can only feel how twisted my fantasies are! A brooding prisoner, a yoga trainer and some mat. Figure it out...
The Dinner Roll by Stephanie Rose isn't about the dinner at all. It was a forbidden complex sizzling hot romance that will stretch your boundaries for sure!

Overall I loved this concept to have these really short stories in this anthology. For an author to be able to suck the reader in within 1500 words, that’s impressive! I started off with Peep by Auden Dar because I know her writing is amazing. And it didn’t disappoint! I loved the anonymity of the story then BOOM, you read the last sentence and it all comes together. I then went into the rest of the stories mentioned above and they varied quite a bit! Pied Piper started off intriguing and made me want to finish the story. I mean who could resist with a first line like that!? The Dinner Roll was forbidden love and was very descriptive…just to name a few of these stories that really stood out. I haven’t read them all yet but I know I eventually will as I go back to this book every once in a while to get my fill!

I love anthologies like this one! Flesh Fiction is an amazing mix of authors that tell their stories in under 3 pages. So many amazing stories that all left me wanting more! I got sucked in by Jr Gray, Cole Denton, Marni Mann, AM Johnson, Yolanda Olsen & Stevie J Cole. If you need some really hot stories that will keep you entranced for a short time, read this book right now!

Flesh Fiction is a collection of tasty morsels from some of my most favorite authors together with other equally talented authors I can't wait to try for the very first time.
These are short teases, making me want oh so much more but yet am surprisingly satisfied from what is given us. They range from wildly dirty to touchingly passionate and are the perfect respite when you simply need a shot of sexy while trudging through another long day. The overall length is that of a longer novel but each is a quick read making the pages fly by with ease.
I have read thus far from Willow Aster, Autumn Grey, Jane Harvey-Berrick, AM Johnson, Suanne Laqueur, K Larsen, M Mabie, Marni Mann, Yolando Olson, Stephanie Rose, Rebecca Shea, Jenika Snow, and Mara White. Each is unique and each is beyond wonderful to experience whether it's M/F or M/M.

As soon as I saw the author list of this book, I knew I needed to get my hands on it, and it did not disappoint!! Holy crap, are these short story's HOT!!
Each story is a chapter or 2 but that doesnt take away from how great each one is. I read every single one and it just made me love these authors more.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is a anthology of stories that are 1500 words or less. There is something for everyone in this anthology and if I was to review every single one of the fifty two stories from some of your favorite authors to some you may have never heard of. There is every kind of story that you can think of but all of them are hot and steamy and just the right size if you need a quick get away with a book in your hand. You have dark romance, taboo romance, rock star romance, sweet romances, funny romance...any kind of romance you can think of and I really loved all the stories that were in this book. This is a great anthology to have. I can not promise that all of them are complete stories because some of them are going to leave you hanging hoping and waiting that a full book comes out. This is a reason I am not the biggest fan of anthologies but this one had more complete than not. There are hours of stories to be lost in. Read it a little at a time or one story then pick it up and read six. Anyway you want to read it is fine and I loved that about it . I wasn't dedicated to a story I wasn't going to finish before bed and I liked that about it too. But most of all there wasn't a story in there that I didn't like and some I loved a whole freaking lot. Go grab it while you can and enjoy. I'm not sure if this is a be there forever anthology or for a short time only anthology so even if you can not dive into it now get it and save it for a rainy day.

Whew.... this was a really good read! There were some stories that were sweet... some that were hot AF..... but they were all short and made it quite easy to keep on turning the pages! Some notes about a few of the stories......

So...I didn't pay too much attention regarding what Flesh Fiction was going to be about. I just saw a slew of authors that I liked were all in this beast on an anthology and knew I wanted to get my eyeballs on it. And was I ever in for a delightfully dirty treat.
These short (and I mean short- like a chapter or less) stories ran the gamut of romance. I enjoyed seeing some authors that I adore step into writing something outside of their normal wheelhouse. Some were scandalous (M. Mabie, A.M. Johnson). Some had me wanting more backstory (Stephanie Rose, Autumn Grey). Some downright made me blush (Danielle Allen- that is phone call I want to be on the end of)!
More over, getting to sample the writing style of some new to me authors, Satin Russell. Emery LeeAnn and Dee Garcia, just to name a few that brought the heat.
So if you need something short and steamy to whet your appetite, this anthology will for sure do the trick.

Interesting
This collection of stories reminded me of some of the essay books I read when I was getting my literature degree. There was just enough story to whet your appetite and have you wish for more. The stories were vastly different than each other.
What I found remarkable about this collection was how each author took the challenge of 1500 words and made it unique. I discovered new authors and also refamiliarized with old favorites. This was a great book for those moments where you don't have time to read a whole book but you still want to read.
I hope these small snippets were enough to get the spark for writing back after a rough 2020/2021 pandemic.

4.25 Stars!
As soon as i found out about Flesh Fiction I could not contain my excitement for it!! Having read some of the authors work and being new to others had me wanting to pick it up even more so! I really enjoyed it so very much! This was exactly what i needed in my book loving life!
I loved the way these stories quickly pulled me in and how each one had me feeling so many things! It was so great to be introduced to new to me authors whose works I'll be checking out more of!

Holy moly Batman! This is one collection you need to have for your own. All the stories as short and as the blurb indicates, very short. But boy will they fire you up. This has so many stories from some of my favorite authors and others by new ones that now have left me wanting more. I am still trying to cool myself down.

So many great stories. I tore through this so quickly because of the fact these were all like 1-4 pages a piece. It was a crazy read. I especially loved Breath Work by JR Rogue because.. Yoga! Some of my other favorites were by Kat Savage, Cynthia Rodriguez and Willow Aster.

There are second chances, friends to lovers, MM, FF, one night stands, cheating, fantasies, new love, married love, voyeurism, intellectual connection, stories of consent, ones that push the boundaries of consent, the forbidden, and the taboo.

Flesh Fiction anthology was an wonderfully written short, steamy stories written by a lot of new to me authors. I really enjoyed these hot, steamy stories and it definitely left me wanting more. Wow!!! I went into this book blind not knowing what to expect and holey moley talk about some naughty lil treasures I discovered. The stories in here are maybe 2 or 3 pages, but they sure heat up the pages. I found several new arthur's in here that I'll be looking forward to reading their book's. This is definitely one to check into.

A great collection of short stories by some amazing authors. I have read books from a bunch of these authors…I did find new to me authors. I enjoyed all these short stories. Each story different. Each story was intriguing. Some stories left me yearning for more and some left my heart whole. Enjoyable collection.

HOLY HOTTNESS!!! It takes so much talent to get so much heat and tension, passion, and heat (yes, I said that twice) packed into three-page stories! I didn't know what to expect but thought the concept was fun, but I have to say I am blown away! I have never been so engaged and hot after a short read like I have been with these stories. These are the ones you read right before you bed to give you the best and steamiest dreams. I loved all these stories, and the authors did an amazing job with this collection. What fun!
