Voxeran Fated Mates #8

Her Alien Enemy

Rate this book
What do you do when your fated mate is your worst enemy?

After seeing so many of my friends find the kind of love I used to think only existed in fairy tales, I can’t help but hope the mate bond will spark for me too. It seems more possible than ever, now that we’ve made it off Nuthora and arrived on Vox.

Whether I find a mate here or not, though, I consider the Voxerans my people. I’m invested in their future, and I plan to do everything I can to support Droth’s bid to retake power from his uncle. So when he puts together a small group of rebels to do recon near the palace, I volunteer to be part of it.

When something goes wrong and our scouting party is almost discovered, I throw myself into danger to protect the others, creating a distraction by allowing myself to be taken by the palace guards.

It’s clear they don’t know what to do with me. They weren’t expecting to see a Terran woman on their planet. But when a new Voxeran arrives to decide my fate, I take one look at his piercing blue eyes and my heart lurches in my chest.

Because I recognize him.

It’s Kardax, Prince Droth’s brother.

One of the men we’re fighting against. A man who stands for everything I despise.

And the universe has chosen him as my fated mate.

Her Alien Enemy is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring blue-skinned alien warriors, a feisty heroine with a big heart, and the hardened prince who should be her enemy.

If you like sexy aliens, steamy romance, and thrilling adventure, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Note: each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended that the series be read in order.

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

Character development: 😍😚😉🙂
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Ivy - She was one of the human females that crashed on the prison planet Nuthora. They were rescued and protected by the Voxeran warriors that were banished from their home world of Vox. Now that they have made their way off the prison planet and have arrived on Vox, Ivy plans to do what she can to support Droth in a new rebellion.

The Hero: Kardax - he is the brother to prince Droth who is the rightful king of the Voxeran, though when their uncle Drokar usurped the thrown after their father died. When Kardax found out that Droth was leading a rebellion, he told their uncle, which got Droth and his supporters banished to the prison planet of Nuthora. Since that happened, Drokar has gotten a bit soft and Kardax handles much of the day to day running of the planet.

The Story: Ivy was excited to get to Vox because she wasn’t one of the lucky humans to find her fated mate among the Voxerans on Nuthora. She was hoping that she will find her fated mate now that they are on Vox. However, she didn’t meet any likely candidates in the cave where they stayed after arriving while they planned their rebellion.

Ivy signs up for a mission to the city and the palace to scope things out and get intelligence for the rebellion. Their task was to sneak into the city unnoticed and get recon on the palace. Though I didn’t get how a human woman is supposed to go unnoticed on a planet of blue Voxerans. So when she was caught, she had to make up a story about why she was there.

I liked the story from when Ivy and Kardax first met. They felt the bond immediately though Kardax didn’t know that a bond could form with a woman that wasn’t a Voxeran. Ivy knew what it was and she had wanted a bond with someone, but definitely not an enemy and someone who could betray his brother. So the story was certainly interesting.

I have to say that one thing that bothers me about alien romance, is the fact that the alien males always only wear loincloths. It doesn’t detract much from the story but is a pet peeve of mine. Especially a story like this. I know the Vox are a warrior race, and live on a desert planet, but still, a prince who has duties of running a planet, sitting in a palace doing paperwork and wearing only a loincloth, just seems stupid and silly to me. It isn’t like a woman can’t be attracted to a man wearing clothes.

This book did a great job in showing that there really are always two sides to any argument, or in this case rebellion. From this story we learn how everything looked from Kardax’s side and why he took the steps he did during the first rebellion. We see what a good man he really is, though he certainly had blinders on in several ways. I liked this story much better than I expected.

Like the previous books in this series, this book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was again done by C.J. Grey and Stefanie Kay who do a great job once again. Stephanie has a pleasant voice which is age appropriate for a twenty something young woman. C.J. Grey has a deep gravelly voice which is very pleasant and I really enjoyed the narration by both of these narrators.

Now that they have escaped from Nuthora and arrived on Vox, the women and Voxeran warriors must take refuge in the caves while they devise a plan to overthrow Drokar, Droth's uncle. If they are discovered, the entire operation could be jeopardized. Ivy is thrilled to be on Vox, despite the fact that none of the Voxerans she has met so far have triggered the mate bond she yearns for. Eager to contribute and inspired by the other women’s efforts back on Nuthora, she eagerly volunteers for a reconnaissance mission in the city. During the mission, when their presence is at risk of being exposed by the guards, Ivy bravely creates a diversion, drawing all the attention to herself and ensuring the team's escape. However, she is swiftly captured and taken to the palace, where she encounters Kardax, Droth's brother who was involved in sentencing the rebels to Nuthora. The worst part? Ivy immediately feels the mate bond with him—the very enemy of her cause...

I can’t help but wonder what it would feel like to have someone that devoted to me. To be completely loved and cherished. To never fear them leaving you or falling out of love with you, and to never wonder if you chose the wrong person-Ivy

This story was my favorite of the series. The setting on Vox significantly shifted the pace and dynamic of the narrative. The new environment and the imminent goal intensified the plot for me. Additionally, the forbidden attraction between Ivy and Kardax added a delightful layer to the story.

She’s looking at me with those wide green eyes, her pink lips parted, and in this moment, I feel like I need to kiss her more than I need to breathe. Just a kiss. Just for a moment. Just long enough to feel her in my arms, to know the taste of her mouth. Only that. I can’t deny myself any longer.-Kardax

I can easily say that Ivy is my favorite of all the previous heroines. She was sweet and a quick-thinker. Even when caught between a rock and a hard place, she handled the situation exactly as I hoped she would. I particularly liked how she immediately recognized the bond between herself and Kardax, a bond that he didn’t initially understand because he had never witnessed it with a non-Voxeran. Despite hiding many things from him, Ivy still made an effort to be as truthful as possible without compromising the rebels' mission.

He looks like an avenging god. Like a being of legend, too impossibly beautiful and wild to be real. But he is real.-Ivy

As for Kardax, his angular features gave him a dangerous appearance, but he proved to be very kind and diligently worked to address the neglect left by his uncle, King Drokar, in improving the citizens' lives. Upon first meeting Ivy, he was immediately attracted to her and felt an instinctive protectiveness, though this sudden emotion confused him. Having never witnessed the bond between a Voxeran and an outsider before, he was skeptical of its authenticity. Despite Ivy’s efforts to keep her distance, he couldn’t help but feel drawn to her. He was also incredibly caring and sweet towards Ivy. Definitely the best hero in this series (in my opinion).

The chemistry between Ivy and Kardax was exactly what I look for in a fated mates romance. There was no instalust per se, but the attraction was palpable. Their longing and passion were well-developed and truly satisfying.

I found the plot to be quite predictable, especially regarding Kardax's backstory. If the author aimed to portray him as a good guy, there was only one plausible explanation for why he had banished his own brother to Nuthora. Without giving away any spoilers, it's clear where the story is headed as you read. However, I felt that the inevitable drama between Kardax and Ivy unfolded just as I hoped, resolving relatively quickly without becoming irritating. Both characters were justified in their feelings but maintained a level-headed approach. The strong communication between Ivy and Kardax was refreshing, and I appreciated that the author avoided dragging out the conflict unnecessarily.

Overall, this was a great way to end the series. Also, best couple for me, by a long shot.

I believe this series has a main plot that will chronologically develop with each installment, so you probably want to read them all in order.

Quick(ish) Review

I try to be thoughtful in my reviews and at least explain why a book works or doesn’t work for me but with this one, all I got is my god I was bored. For a book where the heroine was essentially acting as a spy working against the hero who the heroine and the reader believe to be possibly evil, I cannot believe how bored I was. The constant internal conversations with themselves had me snoozing. This may be a case of it’s not the book but me but with way, this was only ok at nest. Sad since it’s the last book in the series and I really enjoyed the earlier books.

I don’t know what happened but the last two books in this series were a slog, and just… not how the first few books were.

The internal monologues killed me just like in the last book, and at around 86% I skimmed the rest of the way.

The mmc was like reading a second fmc. Too gushy. And when that wasn’t happening, it was almost all tell and no show.

Which makes me sad because this series started out so well. I thought maybe it was just me, because I have been reading a lot of short stories lately, so thought maybe I was just used to a faster clip now. But in reading other reviews, I’m not the only one that feels the way I do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I fucking LOVED it!

This was the final book of the series and I’m so sad to see it come to an end. Ivy saw a lot of her human companions submit to the bond with a Voxeran warrior while they were trapped on the prison planet of Nuthora. She was envious of that bond and wanted that for herself. Unfortunately, the bond never bloomed between her and anyone. But now she finds herself in the palace on Vox, and her mate is none other than Kardax. Brother to the right heir, Droth. For his part, Kardax can’t figure out why he’s so attracted to Ivy. He cannot stop thinking of her. If he didn’t know any better, he would think this is the mate bond. But that’s not possible. No Voxeran has ever bonded with someone not of their kind. Strap in guys, this is going to be a fun ride to the end.

I loved both main characters. I love when an author gets the FMC spot on. It seems like so many struggle to write a character that may be complex or independent without them devolving into abject bitchiness. I don’t think there was a heroine in any book of this series that I disliked. Both character and world building are well done, especially if you have been keeping up with the entire series.

The only thing I missed, is that for a final book of a series, I like when an author gives an update on all the couples we’ve grown fond of. One series I read had the final chapters dedicated to the previous couples. Each had their own chapter. Now that’s a way to end a series. A final epilogue, several years down the line, would have been exceptional. I mean, there were a few human women that never bonded with anyone, I want them to have a HEA too, so even if they didn’t get their own stories, it would have been nice to read that they each eventually found their mates on Vox.

All in all, this book was a very satisfying read. My heart was happy and that’s really all I want from these silly romance books. I highly recommend the series if you like sci-fi romance books. I know it’s not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it.

I always enjoy Presley’s series. This was no different. I put off reading the last Voxeran installment because of how the hero was built up as a traitor. But every sentence needs punctuation so I finally read it.

“It has everything a good story should have—a cruel villain and a noble prince, crashed ships and women in need of rescue who turned out to rescue their mates, as well. It has adventure, romance, passion, daring, and most of all, a happy ending.”

I can’t say it any better.

There is so much to say about this finale of an intense series. Getting to know each of these eight couples deeply, allowed for an attachment to grow, making me feel as though I was right there with them throughout their struggles of returning to Vox. Presley executed a perfect combination of stories, each contributing to one hell of a finish.

𝕊𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕝𝕪 𝕚𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕞𝕠𝕤𝕥 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝𝕪 𝕨𝕠𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕀’𝕧𝕖 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕟.

Ivy, like the rest of the women we’ve learned about, is truly a strong and determined woman. Her willingness to sacrifice herself for the greater good of their operation, contributes to her character as a whole. Standing up against the “enemy” without hesitation and braveness, goes to prove her worth.

“𝕀—𝕀 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕔𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕙𝕠𝕡𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕠 𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕟𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕖𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕤, 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕞𝕪 𝕗𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕖!”

Kardax was such a sweet, lovable man underneath his hard outer shell. Over the course of the story, his walls slowly began to crumble away. He is such a caring, giving man, only wanting what’s best for everyone regardless the circumstances. And, his protectiveness over Ivy shines through when needed.

𝕀 𝕕𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕗𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕨𝕖 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖. 𝕀 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝕚𝕥. 𝕋𝕠 𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕙 𝕚𝕥.

Let me start this off with stating that I am a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story, and with this being the first sci-fi enemies romance I have read, I am genuinely impressed! Granted only one side of the relationship knew they were enemies, that didn’t alter the chemistry whatsoever. The instant pull towards the other was only minimally avoided before fireworks exploded and intimacy set on fire. I am so sad to say goodbye to this series, but I know Presley is going to come back another stronger follow up.

What an awesome ending to this series! Just wow.

Kardax and Ivy had me worried for a minute, since their circumstances were so different from the other couples. The Mate Bond with them had alot of obstacles to work through. But I love how they and the main plot of the series came together.

As always this was an intense and sexy read, but it was also very heartbreaking when things were brought to light regarding Droth, Kardax's brother, and their Uncle. The hidden truths behind the rebellion, all of it. It all worked out beautifully but it had me petrified as to how all of this was going to work. The final chapter and the Epilogue were superb here as well...

I would definitely recommend this series. Again because of the main plot of the series, you must read these in order..

All 8 books are on KU and they are all incredible.

This book is fantastic! I've been reading and loving this series from the beginning and, although I'm sad I've reached the end, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect book to conclude this series. It was so much more than I ever could have imaged it would be as this pairing never crossed my mind.

Prince Droth, his rebels, and the terran women are all gathered in secret on Vox ready to make a stand to take back the throne from Droth's usurping uncle. When a small group travels to the city on a recon mission, they are nearly discovered, until heroine Ivy causes a distraction to lead the soldiers away. When she is captured and thrown in the palace dungeon, she doesn't know how she can escape or explain her presence on Vox. She certainly doesn't expect to come face-to-face with Droth's traitorous brother... or to feel the mate bond spark between them.

Prince Kardax doesn't expect to find he suddenly has a female terran prisoner. But he believes her after hearing her story of betrayal by her people, enslavement by aliens, and subsequent escape. He is completely unprepared for the mate bond that sparks between them. And since the bond has only ever formed between Voxerans, he dismisses it as merely a powerful attraction. Nevertheless, he sets her up is a palace servant, but finds it exceedingly difficult to get Ivy out of his mind.

This book quickly became my favorite in the series. Kardax was so much more than I thought he would be. His character is rich and completely intrigued me from the start as I saw into his mind and his side of things. I won't say much as it was such a joy learning more and more as I read. The chemistry and attraction between him and Ivy was scorching, and they had some sweet and beautiful scenes together. This book has action and suspense. And although I just finished reading it, I want to start it all over again. Fantastic! I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars.

Wow what a series! I'm giving this a five for the whole lovely series! A really good author for making me read these works of hers in succession. I was planning to take a break after Book 4, but for the life of me, I couldn't not continue. I didn't want to lose the momentum. I skipped Book 6 though. I surprised myself reading a Sci fi series and enjoying it. I'm not a fan of this subgenre, yet the lovely writing style, the whole storyline, individual plotlines, mostly the great characters for each book, took me for a thrilling and enjoyable fulfilling ride.

This romance series despite the subgenre, gave me all the feels. I'd truly miss these characters. This final book, 'though lacking in some aspects like the buildup, the tension I've read from the former books, well except Book 1, still provided a satisfying finale for this beautiful series.

Kardax and Ivy, another great couple. I didn't expect to enjoy this couple but I did. Neither did Raina and Kaide of Book 5, yet they delivered! Kudos to the author.

What also surprised me was I enjoyed greatly Book 7, Felicity and Ren. I loved how the author wrote their story. What this two had to go through. I enjoyed mostly the buildup and the tension from this one, before they accepted the mating. Considering these characters being newly introduced, not yet developed, the heroine Felicity only seldom mentioned in the former books.

Overall, a truly lovely ending for these fierce Voxeran warriors and their beautiful, brave Terran females. I wouldn't mind reading more followup stories of these characters if ever.

Her Alien Enemy

I have enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end, maybe we'll read about the next generation. Droth and the rebels along with the human women make it safely to Vox, have met up with the small group of rebels left on the desert planet. During a recon mission in the city Ivy shows herself to keep the whole group from being caught, she's successful but is captured. Kardax meets her in her cell, the attraction is immediate. He releases her, gets her a room and clothing and a job as a servant. She takes the opportunity to spy for the rebellion but Kardax finds her lie about when, how and why she is on Vox. She convinces him to study the hologram shown to him by his uncle showing Droth poisoned their father and he discovers his uncle actually poisoned the king to usurp his position. She takes him to the rebel camp where he meets with his brother, Droth, proves how they both were lied to and they make plans to end their uncle. They show the prof to the people at the Festival of Lights and then Kardax fights and kills their evil uncle. Kardax and Ivy have already found they are true mates and Story's mate Caroline gives birth to the heir. Droth rules as king with Kardax his second in command and advisor and their mates at their sides. Everyone is at peace.

Ivy sees the other women find their fated mates and is wondering who is her fated mate. But now that they are back on Vox, Droth is wanting to take his rightful place. To dethrone his Uncle and fight his brother who betrayed him. But, they need to scout out kingdoms to find a safe route. But, once on the scouting trip things awry and Ivy is captured. Sis now meets the 2nd in commend, advisor of the king Prince Kardax. An immediate reaction happens when they touch, which Ivy recognize because of what the other women described when their fated mates first touched them. Anyways, Kardax is not wanting to accept it at first, but the draw to be near each other is becoming strong. But, can Ivy find safe passage for Droth and the other warriors? Or will her clever disguise get blown? I am sadden to find out this is the last book of this series. But, I will say this book shows more loving scenes between Ivy and Kardax then the other books. But, there is definite action pact scenes in this book and I am all for it. I will be re-reading this series soon. I'm afraid I miss the guyrs and ladies already.

I was sad and excited to read the end of this series. I don’t want it to be over but Presley didn’t disappoint!

Ivy and the other Terran women are hiding in a cave with the other warriors back on Vox, Prince Droth’s home planet. The rebels are still trying to overthrow his uncle and they send a small team of volunteers to recon the palace to see if they can figure out a way to sneak in. They get trapped in an alley and are about to be discovered by the guards when Ivy creates a distraction to save them. Of course she gets thrown in the dungeon and thinks she is probably going to be killed. She is unprepared when Droth’s brother Kardax comes to interrogate her and even more shocked to recognize the mating bond trigger. Fortunately he buys her lies and offers her a place to live and work in the palace in his wing. The more time she spends around Kardax, the more she realizes something isn’t right. The story each brother tells contradicts the other. Somehow Ivy must figure out the truth before Kardax realizes who she really is and loses the love of her life.

So here is the final book in the series and let me just say that we go out with a bang. So we have Ivy who wants her fated mate too. All the other females have gotten their happy ever after and she just wants hers. So now she signs up to go on a mission to help Droth regain the throne. However something goes wrong and she sacrifices herself to help her friends get away. Kardax finds her in the dungeons and there is a spark but does he know what it means. So her there are lies, betrayals and massive fights. You will constantly be on the edge due to all the sneaking around. So what happens when Kardax finds out the truth? This story constantly builds and we finally get the answers we have been needing. This book was amazing to read and brings everything to an end. I really enjoyed this series with all the highs and lows. The steam and sizzle. You get it all. Loved it.

Wow what a way to end the Voxeran fated mates series, Ivy and Kardax’s story is the way.

Ivy has watched the other women find their mates and she wants that for herself and she knows that to find it they must find a way to free Vox; when the opportunity comes for a mission into the city Ivy volunteers without hesitation this is her chance to help as the other Terran women have.
Ivy finds herself captured and face to face with Droths brother Kardax and a mate bond, what can she do to help the rebels and will she make it back to them without getting hurt.

Ivy is a strong and brave and willing to do what she can to help the other women and the rebels who protected them on the prison planet she believes in the mate bonds but surely it wouldn’t be so wrong as to pair her with an evil man can she find the good in him and uncover the truth of what happened, this book is not a disappointment it has it all mystery, sexy strong aliens, strong beautiful women and a fight for good.

I knew this was the last in the series before reading this but I can't help but be said. These Voxeran had managed to creep into my hearts. I loved each one of them as they find their mates.

I though Kardax and Ivy's love story would be the hardest. I asked myself how could you love your enemy? What reason would you give your self for loving him? Ivy did asked herself that and the truth had set them both free. Everything was not it seems. I loved that they have their happy ending, and I am glad that the humans have found their new home in Vox and everything is as it should be. Everything that had happened to them had led them here, in the arms of their mate.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

I did not like Kardax in the beginning he seemed spoiled and pampered.  I was curious as to why he betrayed his brother.  He was also seeking out rebels to punish them.

Also, why didn't Ivy ask Kardax to leave when she had to get naked for her medical exam?

Eventually, Kardax grew on me.  He truly cared about his people.  He was also kind and protected his servants and Ivy. I understood why he betrayed his brother.  But I still couldn't understand why he supported his murderous and rapist uncle. Kardax was furious for Ivy being sold into sexual slavery yet he knew his uncle forced women to have sex with him.  Hypocritical!

I do wish we could get a sneak peek at what Ms. Hall will write next. She is always an auto buy through KU.

I really enjoyed Ivy and Kardax's story. This was the first book where the gang is on Vox and pretty much all of it takes place in Asicar at the Vox Palace. We got to see more into the original betrayal that caused Droth to be exiled with the whole story centered around Ivy, her adventure meeting Kardax, and how she handles being both a spy and fighting the mate bond with who she believes is a terrible guy. I really like the change of scenery in this book and how it forwarded the story arc for our pluck humans and hunky Voxeran males. While providing a sweet love story with great suspense. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next installment by Presley.

At last the rightful heir is returned to the throne

Ivy has longed for a mate bond since her Terran ship crashed on Nuthora. When the banished rebels return to Vox with the Terran women, she learns to her shock and dismay her mate is none other than the traitor Prince Kardax. Ivy struggles with the pull of the band and her mission to aid the rebels. Their chemistry is explosive and they can't keep their hands off each other. Can Kardax be the man she believes him to be or will he remain loyal to his uncle. Only the truth can bring peace to Vox. A good ending to the series

Family, you can't live with them and you can't live without them.

This is the last of the Voxeran Fated Mates series and it's every bit as good as the first book. We have a human woman and a Voxeran male. He is the enemy and supports the current ruler (the bad guy). She volunteers to be a spy (for the good guys) and she gets caught. He feel a sensation each time he touches her and she can't stop thinking about. How can that be? You will enjoy how these two come together. There is a happy ending. I recommend this entire series and this wonderful book.

I think there couldn't have been a better way to end this series of books. Seriously!
That was definitely my favorite book of the series.
Finally the Voxerans and human females have arrived on Vox and are preparing to overthrow Drokar. When Ivy is caught on a scouting tour, she meets Kardax, Droth's brother, and realizes that he is her fated mate.
The shock and disappointment she experienced to have her enemy as a soul mate of all people. I had so much fun reading the book and I can really recommend it.

this last book was better than I expected

Ivy has been a trooper after crash landing on the prison planet after being sold into slavery by Earth’s government for advanced technology. After being found by the Voxeran warriors who are exhiled for treason (falsely accused), they are ready to lead the rebels against The king who banished the warriors. During a recon mission, Ivy meets Droth’s brother and feels the mate bond with the enemy. She wants a mate bad but with the enemy?

This is the last book in the Voxeran Fated Mates series and what a wonderful ending it it! It is exciting and action packed. It has romance and a bit of mystery. Ivy is so sweet and brave. Kardax is noble and strong and oh so sexy. Her Alien Enemy is a perfect end to an awesome series. I loved every book and this one may just be my favorite of the series. Presley Hall writes what my heart craves...romance, action and HEA...and she does it well. 5 stars all the way!

Wow, what a great conclusion to an epic series. It was a long haul for Droth, but thankfully with the help from some amazing women from earth he and his band of men finally seek justice. Kardax had always believed that his brother Droth had murdered their father. Droth believed his brother had betrayed him. But all fingers pointed to one person. Their uncle. Finally all is revealed and the rightful heir takes his place on the throne.
Gonna be sad to see this series end, but what an adventure

This last book is my favorite of the series!

I gave all the books a five star rating, but this last one was the best. It was a crazy, wild ride. Twists and turns that I honestly didn't see coming. I couldn't put it down. I was so tempted to read the last page to be certain of the hea. I'm so sad this series has to end. Ms. Hall's writing abilities have just kept getting better throughout this series. This is my official order for more please.

A perfect ending to an amazing series!

Although I loved the other books, I really liked how the setting of this one was completely different to the rest.

I’d already guessed the basics of the plot before I finished the first chapter, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment!

I love Ivy and Kardax as a couple and how their relationship developed - tbh, I think it’s my favourite of the series!

I think I might go and read Hall’s other series now :3

What a great end to the series

I totally enjoyed this story. A smart heroine that gets her mate though I was worried if maybe just once things might not work out. Like the rest of the series, the mix of danger, the time alone to build up angst and steam and them when the steam hit...holy smokes. Great writing. In love with both sets of author Presley Hall's aliens. Reviewed by Who She Reads

Good ending

Did not expect some of the twists. Though I did expect the event was building up to be the pivotal moment.
Still wish there were less pages of sex and more of the story.
Wish they had a five year epilogue. Where they showed group, team working on finding those responsible for earth women slave trading. Freeing those that went before.
As well a spin off of those on front of ship. Maybe they work with government that imprisons people and they go find them.
