Quiet and reserved bookkeeper, Wren Agnew strives to be highly efficient and completely inconspicuous. She calculates and formulates plans to cover every possible hitch or challenge while remaining totally behind the scenes. Every second of her life is meticulously orchestrated and intentional. Wren doesn’t do surprises, she doesn’t veer off course and she certainly isn’t prepared for the unruly, arrogant, sexy biker who storms into her life like a hurricane, taking out everything and everyone in his path. Taking chances, especially with her heart, is not an option, and he’s a risk she can’t afford to take.
Ghosttown East MC’s notorious bad boy, Andrew “Con” Fallon wants to leave his mark on a club he’s devoted to and break free from his troublemaker reputation. But a devastating loss has left Con bitter, frustrated, angry, and striking out at anyone who crosses his path. Con’s grief-driven rage and drive for answers has put him at odds with his MC president, strained his ties with his club brothers, and possibly threatens his chance with the one person capable of softening his stone-cold heart. Wren could be his salvation, if he doesn’t screw it up.
Wren’s life, both personal and professional, is twisting upside down, her secrets threatening exposure and her connection to a dangerous world could cost her everything. She wasn’t expecting Con, nor can she envision a future while her past overshadows everything. She’s the last woman any man should want to get involved with.
Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).
This waa definitely one of the ones I was waiting for and Amelia Shea did not disappoint. Emotional, well written, and a great storyline. I'm definitely all in for these characters and can't wait to read the next one ❤.
The moment Con meets Wren he knows he wants her. He wants more then a one night stand, he want the shy beauty to become his world. Wren is so different then anyone Con has come in contact, she sees a side of Con that no one else does. Con has a reputation for his anger, blunt talk and animosity towards his father. His father who is the President of his MC, but there is a reason that all that rages around him and he wants answers. Finding out that Wren too has some secrets and he will stop at nothing to protect her, even defy his club.
Fantastic, so much goes on in this book and Wren was a complete surprise. Terrific chemistry and this is quickly becoming a must read series for me. I like the way the author writes, the side characters are wonderful and it leaves a hint of what will happen next. Con is pure alpha, I wasn't sure how his story would play out but this was even better than I expected.
Review - Ghosttown Riders East Series by Amelia Shea
This is going to be an overarching series review and a small blurb covering the individual books. So if it looks similar, it's because it is. Life crazy, attention span short, you get what I'm saying.
Overall - This is a biker soap opera. It's not as OTT as it could be but damn it's close. Series has been around 3-4 on the WTFery scale and gotten progressively more violent, but it makes sense considering that the main storyline driving this is one of revenge. It's soapy in that there's twists and turns with family relations and exactly how closely tied East and the Underground players are. My main quibbles is that, like a soap, continuity and plotting are key but can be real damn messy. There are plot devices that don't make sense, things that make me go excuse me but why? BUT like a real soap, I'll let it slide because it's more about the ride.
Hence my more middle of the road ratings - I'm not typically hyperbolic with my ratings and I don't slap a fiver on every book, so to me, a 3 star isn't bad rating. For me, it's just a more qualified recommendation - you may enjoy this IF your tastes run towards abc and don't mind xy or z.
Anybiker, now onto the individual brothers.
The Draw - from the sweetest to the a*holiest of them all, Con can go suck a big goose egg. Haven't liked him for a while, still don't like him. Wren's sweet and resilient, no beef with her, and if she was a girlfriend I'd tell her to dump his toxic booty, but hey that's just me. Con starts a jacka$$ and ends as one too. 2*
I’m fascinated with the series! I have to be honest, Con is really hard to like. I didn’t like him much in the 1st 3 books and most of this book. He’s angry, aggressive and irrational.
I know he’s been hurt by a real tragedy, but I really felt like Gunner needed to kick his ass a time or 10. Wren was truly his saving grace and by the end of this book, I had formed a truce with him. He is who he is and that is “fucking perfect” for Wren.
If you love MC reads, you shouldn’t miss Ghosttown East. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I like this author’s storytelling and I’m enjoying this series overall. There’s something about this author’s writing that makes it so that even if I’ve spent the entire book annoyed at one of the characters, by the end I’m awww-ing so hard, my finger is hovering over the 5-star button. She writes really good character changes, and gorgeous endings and epilogues. My main issue with this book actually has to do with Con, the rude, brash, immature, bad-tempered hero in this novel. I’m all for an opposites attract trope I’m romance but measured, matured, considered and considerate, Wren, deserved a little more than dealing with Con’s somewhat childish emotional outbursts. These fits of temper from Con would have been fine if they were of the “mean to everyone but you” variety that had been teased in previous books and in parts of this one. But I was alarmed that Con actually yelled at/disrespected her in a few scenes in this book and Wren had to process it as “no relationship is perfect take the ugly parts with the good.” I feel like I’m previous books, we’ve gotten to see some pretty ugly back stories. Here, both characters had “not very pretty” back stories but Con was kind of violently reactive in the way he dealt with pretty much everything and I didn’t love it for Wren.
I've been waiting for this book as from the minute that Wren showed up in the series Con was smitten with her and you knew there was more to her than what you saw. I have to say that Wren's past and her current hobby stunned me, yet fit her. You knew it would cause problems, I didn't think that they would get settled as fast as they did. I also loved how Wren teased Con about his "ex", so cute!
We also got to know more about Con's past, including more with his father, Gunner. Some interesting relationships coming out along with some interesting news about Con's mother. Con was so angry for most of this one, Wren could often get him to calm down and see things from a different perspective, a good thing for the hot head.
I liked how this one ended, great seeing all the sweet relationships.
This is such a fantastic MC Series. I’m making my way through and each time I think I have a favourite the next couple takes number one spot. Absolutely loved Con and Wren.
I love this series and its sister series. I’d say this is by far my favorite book of them all.
Wren was a nice breath of fresh air. She was so good for Con. I loved her backbone, her sweetness, and how she handles & calms Con. She was no simpering woman. She knows who she and she owns it. She is also not quick to back down or cry at the drop of a hat. Nor is she a quitter or one to walk away. She indeed was perfect for Con.
I'm glad we had such a good storyline, with layers to peel back; it wasn't driven by sex or sexy times. Though there were a few scenes in that department, the story would have been ruined if it had been overly done.
As always, I loved the cast of characters, the unexpected, the ongoing storyline of Con’s mom's murder, and the emotions and humor the story invoked from me.
I tip my hat to the author for not using the typical ‘other women’ drama plot.
My only issues: 1. Charlie was still working for the strip club after what happened to Wren, and no consequence came of it. That didn’t feel right for an MC H or club not to rectify. He’s also still a slime-ball, shady sleaze who needs to be kicked to the curb. 2. Jessie fell off the pages, though she was supposed to be an inside person. Granted, we know what happens with her in the previous book of this series; it still should have been cleared up in this book, too, to tidy up loose ends. 3. I would have loved one or two more visits to the Grandmother. She was a plot device, and I think more time with her would have been nice to see. 4. I would have liked Gregory to try his hand at Wren after their run-in. I felt like it was another wasted plot device.
I would like to see a story for Trey, especially, and one for Rouge. I want to know what Trey knows, the connections he’s always using, and what he’s thinking. He seems scary but also comes across as a good guy too.
This is the perfect story for Con. This story is jaw/pantie droppingly good. It has action at everything, and WTF moments, I can't tell you how many times I said whaaatt lol.
Wren is a mystery that is slowly unpackaged, she has baggage but is still shy and sweet that is until she is backed into a corner.
Con is everything he is a brooding a$$hole, temper challenged and ready to explode if he don't get the answers that have plagued him for the past 5 years. The only person that has a remote chance to tame the angry beast avoids him at every chance. But don't worry he will get the girl... Surprise baby.
BUT HOW DARE YOU AMELIA how very dare you... I wanted Con to get his answers but nooooo, you had to leave us hanging I was so like yes girl spill the tea... but you want nuhuh... Please let Gunners book come ASAP. Please.
3 hours later and it's sadly finished 😭. I devoured this book. Another fantastic book. This one is Con and Wren's and centers mostly around them. Loved these two so much, he's the growly, over protective a$$hole that rushes into things without thinking and she is the careful thinker that plans everything and is the sweetness to his sour. I loved Emme and how sweet she was about her little crush on Con.
My heart hurts for Con and I'm glad he finally got some answer even if it wasn't what he wanted.
The Epilogue brought a tear to my eye. Love the scene between Gunner and Wren.
Some interesting new tidbits for new story lines. Looking forward to the line up for next year.
3.5 stars. This one was a bit of a snooze fest. I liked Con and Wren together, but the evolution of their relationship was just kind of boring. Wren’s big secret was anticlimactic, to say the least. (She’s working off her father’s debt by gambling for Rogue). 🥱
At least Con got some closure with his mom’s murder. And I did like that the author kept his asshole characteristics consistent with past books in the series. He was sweet with Wren but still a hothead with everyone else. I still remember him being a serious dick to Sloane in Blade’s book, but he redeemed himself enough to be a palatable hero in this one.

When I started the first book in Amelia Shea's first series, I wasn't sure what to think. By the middle of the 1st book I was interested to read the 2nd.... By the middle of the 2nd, I was determined to read the rest of the series.... By the end of the Saint, I knew there would never be another book from Amelia Shea I wouldn't read - - and I've loved every one.
These books have the perfect amount of alpha men, spunky unique women, laughter, drama, and feels off the charts. These books hit all the requirements and they are long reads, with the money.
I love them. And this book has all the things in all the others that keeps you wanting more
Con and Wren definitely became my favorite. Con may be my favorite a hole but he also is so sweet and vulnerable. I can’t wait to find out more about his situation. Wren is perfect for him and brings him back from the edge of exploding during his anger outbursts. I loved watching their relationship blossom and see Con fall after all the crap he gave Ice. I can’t wait for more of East. I absolutely loved the epilogue and being able to see their future. I wish I could have seen Emme’s reaction to this relationship! (If you know you know!)
Con is a soft spot for me! I love his bromance with Ice and his pseudo-Mentorship with Blade but most of all I love his true/honest/pure friendship with Em!!
We’ve met Wren over the last couple books as the bookkeeper at the strip joint owned by East…her story is dark, twisted, and top secret.
Con is our hot headed Prince of East. As Gunner’s son, everyone cuts the kid a break on his volatile behaviour. Add on his mourning of his mom and people let him get away with so much!
Another fabulous story. Con has had anger issues for almost five years and a lot of us against his dad, Gunner because of the death of his mom. As you read the story, you learn a little more of what happened. Wren is brilliant and has a knack for the cards, which was taught to her at a young age by her grandmother and then her dad. He had his own issues arise and Wren did a deal with Rogue. Read the book and learn more. And awesome at the end with CJ's birth. Happy reading.
This book is intense, so much going on it has you gripping the edge of your seat and fighting the impulse to peek forward just to know what’s coming. Love Wren she’s a big surprise, not what I expected after meeting her in the last book, but a really good surprise. Con was a sweetly, well to Wren and only to wren, but still you have to love a short tempered rouge who turns into a sweetie for his lady.
Phew what a exciting story this was. At first i wasnt sure i was going to like this because of Con whole attitude and the way he was with women and the president at times. However as the story goes along and more things pop up we get to understand why Con is like he is and its Wren who brings out the best in him and calms the beast. As we follow through the story as well its exciting to see how more people are drawn into Easts story..... it really is great and worthwhile reading.
I FINALLY love Con! So very many layers to this character who has so many feelings. He hid behind walls of anger and pain until he has Wren in his life. Even his relationship with Gunner, his father, changes for the better. But we still don't know who took his mother from him. This book has spice between the sheets with this couple. I really loved this story and I cannot wait to read the next in the series.
Love it, love, love, love. Wow wow wow. Gobsmacked about this one. I waited so patiently for this book. It disappoint me at all. Drama, violence, intriguing, skulduggery the list gets longer. I am so sucked-In with the tiny crumbs this author is willing to feed us Ghosttown East nerdies, she sure knows her our weaknesses. Well deserved 5 star's.
I hadn't read this author before but I really enjoyed this 4book series. The storyline was outstanding. The characters were well written and each book flowed so well into the next that you couldn't not read the next book. I will be looking forward to reading more from this author
Con was first class asshole but Wren was attracted to him but tried to avoid. Con is so full of anger over his mother's death and his father Gunner and mc brothers will not tell him the truth. Wren has her own secrets but finally the share their past and build their future.
The author makes this series intriguing from page 1.
Awwwwww! Con and Wren are absolutely adorable together!!! Yes, Con is still angry through a lot of the book but we really get a full picture as to why. Wren is the sweetest of the sweet and is the only one who can tame his inner beast - LOVE her. Awesome story and even better HEA. Plenty of spicy NSFW scenes and MC drama & intrigue. Fantastic read!!!!
Enjoying this series. Ms. Shea has a great writing style and fabulous characters. Looking forward to the next in the series. Con & Wren have great chemistry totally enjoyed the read but the next in the series is Gunner and I am soooo crushing on him! If you haven’t read any of her books don’t wait any longer Shea should be at the top of your TBR list!!
Com has some terrible anger management issues and honestly I did not like him very much when he would get fired up. Luckily he made up for it in other sweet moments like the scene with Wren's grandmother. Wren was unexpected. When she was introduced I just imagined her as a shy innocent type so the poker expert was a bit of a surprise. Not my favourite but I enjoyed it none the less.

What can I say...Con the man you love to hate but then love again. Wren is perfect for Con, she brings out the good in him. You meet some new characters that are intriguing but it just makes you want the author to bring out the books faster...lol.Love this series!
Loved it..loved it...loved it!!!!! Always a winner just like the rest! You have that magic touch when you write a book Amelia Shea and I love it!!!!! xo Next one in January! Too long to wait but I will.
Who knew it would take a shy woman to win over Con? Happy his storyline finally got shared. Love all the characters in the series! Definitely recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.
This guy is a major hot head. He could really do with some anger management and therapy. Wren however is a sweetie and I loved getting her back story. I liked how we finally got some type of closure about Caroline. Great writing and I love Gunner.
Another good book in this series. Good characters and plot along with some good twists and turns plus action and suspense. Con was a jerk, but learned to be a better man with the help of Wren. Overall a good book.
