This wasn't as good as the first book in this series for me. Too much focus on Ivy's father and not enough with the couple. For such short novellas, I really need for most of it to focus on the romance/couple.

Okay, not my fav in this series, I think. I think it also bcz the main focus was on Ivy's father rather than the couples. Short and spicy, but still something was missing 🫤

We start the story with Ivy, the daughter of an important and rich man, who is trying to merge his company and his rival's company through an arranged marriage; using Ivy as an asset. And we have Samson, a tough biker and private investigator, who happens to notice Ivy when he is delivering a package to one of his clients. I think the premise was interesting since both characters were polar opposites.
I liked Ivy, she was sweet and the fact that she was oppressed by her unloving father really made me feel for her. She was portrayed a little bit like a modern princess, who needs to be saved by a knight, and I thought it was cute. It was easy to root for her and hope for her freedom.
Like I said above, Samson was a biker and a P.I, which was really interesting to me. I liked that he didn't give a damn about people's opinion. His looks were imposing, hefty and he walked like he owned the place, wherever he was. As soon as he met Ivy, he was ready to save and protect her.
Now, you might wonder why my rating is so low if I liked the characters...Well, my issue with this story was the execution, which was clumsy and a little bit all over the place if I can be honest. We weren't really shown the attachment between Ivy and Samson, it just felt a little bit overlooked on. I didn't feel much chemistry between them nor did I understand why they liked each other. I think that, even in an insta-love situation, there needs to be some sort of good reasoning behind.
The way it unfolded kind of just felt like she fell in love because the guy was the complete opposite image of her father, and the first guy she noticed when in desperation...and he, on the other hand, just seemed to be curious about why a rich girl looked so sad. The timeline didn't help either. I liked the texting but other than that, I just had the impression they were skipping steps and jumping recklessly in a love story that didn't have a good base ground.

This is a short, swoony, and hot novella! This is the romance between Samson and Ivy. Ivy is the daughter of a very rich and influential man who is planning to marry her off in a business deal. But then Ivy meets Samson and her world is changed forever. Samson is a big and bad biker dude who has set his sights on taking Ivy as his own, even if that means digging up dirt on her father in order to claim her.
What a fun and quick read! I thought the instant attraction between these two characters was electric and I wish we got more of them! :)

Hmm idk about this series.
It's probably not fair to compare it to Jessa Kane's big man series, but these short stories on not on the same level at all.
The book is too short to contain any real substance but also lacks in (detailed) sex scenes to call it erotica. I feel like short stories have to, at least, include one or the other.

A disappointing second installment.
I guess since I really like the first novella in this Big Boys series, I just expected more from this.
Considering how short it is, it was bafflingly slow to start and then way too fast.
Ivy, the heroine, was kind of annoying to me as well. There was just something about her that screamed Pick Me Girl.
Hopefully the next installment will be redeeming.

If it wasn't for the speed-of-light love and how remarkably fast they moved from seeing each other for the first time to dry humping in the garden like a bunch of hormone-driven teens (not even 24h passed) then I would've given it more.
Because I did like the characters and it was a really nice read.
But that insta crap has to go.

enjoyable
Story was quick and I was digging it all the way until they skipped over their first time together and went right into their relationship a month later. Kinda felt like a let down. Also no epilogue. For those reasons (their first time skipper, no epilogue in the long term, not married and no babies) I’m giving this 3 stars.
Hero’s past isn’t mentioned, doesn’t come off as a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin. No ow, but heroine is being forced into an engagement with another man. No physical contact between them. No abuse or cheating. No epilogue. HEA.

Appearances can be deceiving.
I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a few exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Ivy’s father was horrible. Her mom wasn’t helpful and didn’t stand up for Ivy. Ivy was sweet but she was trapped in a very nice prison that she longed to escape. Samson was protective, possessive, and a total sweetheart. One smile at Samson from Ivy after they met, let him know that she was the one for him. He started taking immediate steps to get her away from the people she was afraid of. Ivy was floored when she saw Samson but she was excited about getting to meet him. They were really good for each other. I liked how the story ended but I wish there was an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

This is a typical Cassie Mint book. They remind me very much of the old, old Harlequins I read in my early romance reading days. Young naive, innocent woman who o needs rescuing meets older, alpha hero who is totally smitten and rescues her.
Cassie Mint books are very short, very much to the point and to be honest, very much behind the times. But sometimes, that’s just what we are in the mood for.

More!! I need more of Samson......
This was short and sexy. And I loved these two, they had great chemistry but it ended way too soon for me. I wanted more of them. Maybe a bit more in the future.... But it was probably my favorite in this series. Where can I get me a Samson?

A well written insta attraction, very short, romance novella. Slow burn to start, starring an innocent heroine and an Alpha hero. At first sight they are instantly smitten with each other. Cassie really makes her little stories swoon-worthy. 😍 Perfect escapist short novellas - excellent to dive in to if you only have a free hour or so. 3.5 stars.

I believe that I enjoyed this better than the first book, but i’m not entirely sure. All in all, Cassie Mint’s books are definitely enjoyable quick reads.

Once you have started reading Cassie Mint it's hard to put down the e-reader. They come from different worlds and are polar opposites, but they still end up in love after their first meeting.

2 stars because I like to sometimes watch train-wrecks reach the end of the train tracks.
Listen, this is becoming a theme. I get lured in by the first book I read by a particular author in this sub-genre of romance (novella daddy issues bigger guys smut), and then get let down by the next book I read. I’m contemplating picking up the third book in this series anyway, but I don’t know if it’ll be another Husky situation.
We will see, the future is vast and unknown.
In the meantime, if you enjoy creepy allusions to a woman being the little girl of a big and yummy biker daddy, then you might like this one. But my brain could not get past the fact that this woman is replacing her controlling and abusive father for this man she is obsessed with 24 hours later. Her father is trash. This love interest sounds 🔥 but in the words of the great Ana, “No dick is that good”, regardless of how much you want out.
I’ve come to the conclusion that it isn’t that these books are short, because short and sweet and sexy are 👌🏽, but it’s the transference and hyper (and creepy) sexualization of daddy issues onto an Insta-love love interest.
Please, do NOT get me wrong here—I like books with daddy stuff, as long as they’re done in a not-so-creepy way. This man literally carries her off in front of her father like she’s an eight year old. I’m not talking bridal carry, I’m talking legs around his hips, eyes facing the retreating face of her horrible father.
Sigh. Sorry, my rant is long and it’s late. Good night.

Ivy and Samson’s first met was super hili HAHAHAHAHA, I love big guys romances, it’s super cute and adorable!!!
They got each other at hello, this story went super great and everything happened naturally, since I read the first book of this series, I couldn’t deny the rest of them. Too “bad” I think I love all of them. Big guys and Beauty, it’s so romantic. This one was still remain the romantic and instant love between leading couples made me exciting to scream!!!!

They got each other at hello, this story went super great and everything happened naturally, since I read the first book of this series, I couldn’t deny the rest of them. Too “bad” I think I love all of them. Big guys and Beauty, it’s so romantic. This one was still remain the romantic and instant love between leading couples made me exciting to scream!!!!

Ivy - She is sweet, kind and caring, She does not think much of her self because of her family treating her bad, She is scared of her Dad, She Finds hope when she meets Samson that she might get a way from her family and start being happy for change without her family around, She falls for Samson the first time she sees him..
Its so Sad to see how scared Ivy is of her father but i thought it was sweet when you see Samson help Ivy out and make her feel safe.. I am glad that she had someone looking out for her because she had no one that cared in her family..
