Reading this book I realized that books like this aren't something for me. Why five stars, well, the writing is still great, the sex scenes are hot, and it is extremely detailed in the smut.
I need more buildup in my stories and this gets right into the action. There are sections I wanted to have expanded on, but per the author's notes, that isn't hte point of this story. So basing it off of that, the author did what they set out for and fans that like the constant erotic page turner with limited break will love it.
My personal level is I want to see more story. I will also say that if the author flipped the script and changed the point of view for another book about the same events, I would be interested in getting the other character's POV perspective, even if it stays as wall to wall erotica. Maybe the combination of POV that is just barely hinted at through the plot would be enough to fill my need in the story.
Maybe the author should consider swapping the POV back and forth between the books between Ruan and Sebastian. That would be neat.

Looking for a short vacation filled with lots of sex? This is for you! This is a 4.5 star read for me. Personally, I did not enjoy the first chapter too much in this short read as the sexy talk was not the greatest between our two MCs. Ruan did not disappoint in this book otherwise.
The smut in this quick read was fantastic and extremely enjoyable. We don't know much about the background of our characters but it is not needed at all and I didn't need to worry about it as I was reading. Each scene is laced with so much detail leaving me wanting more and more. I highly recommend this quick read!

Ruan's cabin getaway is a short novel about milf Ruan and young Sebastian who had been facetiming each other for months and decided to meet each other in person for a steamy romantic getaway.
Before I go into detail of the book and talk about the things I liked and didn't like, I do want to say that I did enjoy this book for the most part. The location sounds really beautiful, in a cabin, up in the mountains, snow; it really sets the mood. I was looking for a book with tons of sex and it had exactly that, I was not disappointed. The scenes were steamy, intense and were in great detail so you could really picture it in your mind. Now the dialogue.....The dialogue was a little cringey for me. It felt really awkward and a little unrealistic. I don't know to explain it but I feel like that's not how normal people talk?? I don't know but I was really weird.
Now I know that the book is about steamy sex but I would have liked a little background story or introduction to the both of them and their relationship. How they met, their "relationship" long distance with the face timing, phone calling, sexting and stuff, like how that went and everything else leading up to them meeting up at the cabin. Maybe we will get a book on that one day who knows, or it might be explained in book 2, which I'm genuinely looking forward to.

If you like novellas with no plot, all smut this book is for you! It was an enjoyable novella that was fast paced and full of spice. Each chapter was a different "scene" of Ruan and Sebastian. They involved everything from video cameras, to kitchens, to paddles. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a quick, spicy read.

This was a cute, short and spicy read. I went into this knowing exactly what it was. This is an erotica story, and boy was it. The story follows a writer who spends the weekend with a much younger gentleman (I love an age gap romance). She never expected it to be more than an online romance, but knowing his *ahem* drive, she agreed to one weekend. It turns into a smut fest weekend. My thoughts, for what this story was, I did enjoy it. The spicy was on point, and it did flow very well. For me, I didn't particularly appreciate that it felt rushed. For a book that is just erotica, it was weird reading it and feeling like there was a time. Towards the end, the dirty talk also gets very cringy (for me). Spicy wise, it was hot. However, I was hoping there would be more out of the box scenes. I feel like the scenes were too safe for an erotic story. Regardless, I recommend this story for anyone looking to get out of a reading rut who wants spice but doesn't expect a lot of plot.

Sure, it's mostly smut - but that's precisely the point. You have two people whose relationship has been primarily virtual, now coming together in person for the first time. Sebastian has an older woman fetish (or is it a MILF fetish?), and Ruan...well, let's just say as someone who writes erotic romance, she needs to act out those fantasies. Acting those out is precisely what they do.
Like before, I loved diving into the beginnings of Ruan & Sebastian’s story. It's short, so it's a read until you finish it. They don't spend too long dwelling on their age gap in this one, instead choosing to explore each other's bodies for the three short days they have together.

I was excited about reading an age gap where the heroine is older than the hero. I knew it was erotica, but it was just a little too much of the sex, and I think nothing meaningful is said.
For me, it was difficult to connect with the characters. There's no relevant backstory other than that she's older, a writer, and they met on a dating site. There are some tidbits about sexting in there, but that's about it. A genuine connection, other than a sexual one, is lacking for me. Since there's a sequel, I'm sure they'll end up together. Something like how Stella Got Her Groove Back, just the x-rated and Caucasian version.
I also thought the dialogue between the two was super CRINGE. She couldn't wait for him to 'jackhammer' her p*ssy? ROFL! Wow! The giggling was also a little too much for me.

If you want a hot, sexy book "Ruan's Cabin Getaway" is the book for you. Ruan and Sebastian, who is 20 years younger and is fascinated with MILFs. He connects with Ruan online and they begin their virtual relationship that includes discussing their sexual fantasies. After six months, they finally meet at the cabin Ruan is renting where Sebastian stays for the weekend.
They are both very attracted to one another and have a very intense sexual weekend, including acting out some of their fantasies. It is easy to connect with Ruan because she is older and is concerned about her body and her attractiveness, especially to a much younger man. Being sexually free is so liberating and goes far in helping Ruan become more confident and confidence in any way is important to a woman.

This book is about Ruan and Sebastian, and their fun, hot and somewhat kinky weekend in a cabin. It is older woman x younger man, and it's so well done, I loved it!
This story was super steamy and fun!! I loved how the smexy scenes varied between Ruan and Sebastian being the more "dominant" one.
It is unfinished (more of a Happy For Now, since there is another book, about their next adventure, wink wink), but it still left me satisfied with their steamy scenes, the cutesy cuddly moments, and the ending, which makes you want to read the next book to be able to see more of their story develop.
All in all, I loved it!

The author hit the nail on the head with the smut. Lots of sexy scenes. There was a lot of variety in their sexy times, such as paddling, the video and domination. However the characters felt unrealistic. With all the insecurities that Ruan has about age difference and her body why did she answer the door n*ked? Ruan acted overly childish in nature versus her maturity. I like to see strong, mature and sexy women being portrayed as such. There was a lot of filler such as the description of food and essential oils in her lotion. It took away from the overall impact of the story. I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ruan for sure took charge of the situation but I feel like there should have been something leading up to Sebastian coming into cabin.

It's not what I expected at first, and maybe that's why I had a tough time getting into it. In the end, I enjoyed reading it overall, but it's just too much pure explicit scenes with too little story for me. It felt more like an ongoing spicy dream than a real, balanced story. If that's what you are looking for, it's great, and that's why I think it would be unfair to rate it lower. For me, it lacks backstory and story in between the spicy scenes.

First erotica audiobook and found it enjoyable and very entertaining.
Once I got use to voice for Sebastian as author narrator got engrossed in the erotic weekend adventure as Ryan and her young lover Sebastian enjoy some of their fantasies as they finally get to be together in the flesh.
The bonus chapter on bloopers added fun and endeared me to author and understanding of creating audiobook.
Lovely edition and look forward to book 2.

The bonus chapter on bloopers added fun and endeared me to author and understanding of creating audiobook.

They have a weekend to act out their fantasies. The role playing is hot and they love every minute they spend together. The weekend ends too soon. This book was my first of Ruan's, so I can't say if they are mostly like this, but this book is 99% smut and 1% plot. It was like reading a bad porn movie. All porn no plot (or a weak plot). The conversation in the book was like listening to 2 6th grade girls talk. If you read only for the smut this book is for you.

I enjoyed this quick read because it was both quick and steamy to the brim, the two MC outdid themselves in that mountain cabin.

The more I read books from Ruan the more I love them. This is the perfect steamy getaway. It gets straight to the action so if you like the build up then this isn't a book for you. The story and characters are perfect and the story did not disappoint. I highly recommend this quick read.

So I was hoping that I would like this but it fell flat for me. The characters were really one dimensional and under developed. There was so much talk about the sex they were going to have before they had sex. And then the sex was really redundant. Also there would be weird time jumps from one scene to the next.

I expected more of a storyline but there was only a hint of it given. The start was interesting but the amount of "giggling" was weird. Eat, sleep, sex, repeat. Literally. Nothing else.

I enjoyed this book. At first, the sex threw me a bit as I'm used to erotica with a bit of a storyline. All in all, the book was good with sexy, erotic scenes. Looking forward to the next one.

Super sexy story about the author and her online lover finally meeting up. The sex scenes were amazing of course, but I did find the dialogue a little corny at times. I’m really hoping that they make a full relationship in the coming books!
