I would give this book a 10 🌟 if it were possible.

Becky Wade has always had my heart through her books and this novella sealed it with her. I loved every bit of this story; the progression of the story even though it was a novella, the characters were so sweet and amazing, the plot, the nativity settings... Everything about this novella was wonderful.

The message of Christmas made it all the more encouraging, soothing and inspiring. It brought so much hope to my heart.

This is my first Christmas book for this year and it has set the tone for the season marvelously.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

This was such a charming Christmas story!

I had so much fun returning to Misty River during the holidays! Having been introduced to Connor in the previous books in the series (Stay With Me, Let It Be Me), I was super thrilled that he got center stage in this delightful novella. His sweet, easy-going disposition complemented Shay's vibrant personality. And the romance unfolded perfectly. I raise my cup of cocoa in a hearty "cheers" to this delightful story!

Want a book that gives you ALLLLL the feels. Here you go! Oh my gosh, this novella hit all of the marks! I think it takes an incredibly talented author to make a novella feel like a full length novel. The story wasn't rushed and it felt perfectly right!

First we meet Connor and in that initial meeting you get to understand the depth of his heart for Shay. Then there's Shay, who has been rather oblivious to Connor aside from a somewhat friend in art class. Connor's idea to of how to let Shay know he cares for her could either go really well or blow up in his face.

Let me just say, the author wrote these characters in such a way that I fell in love with them. They were so incredibly wonderful and any reader will want to root for them. I had no idea that Connor was going to become one of my favorite leading men. I mean, with the work Shay does with him and seeing him through her eyes, it would've been impossible to ignore. The amount of romantic moments were exceptional and nothing forced, but incredibly natural.

The Christmas season just makes it completely "magical". The nativity section of the story was a beautiful way to share the gospel in the story and I could feel the emotions Shay was having as we played Mary and Joseph years and years ago. It's an emotional experience and I felt it through Shay.

I can't say enough about this amazing novella!! Give me more of the Misty River citizens!

*I received this book for review. This is my personal opinion.

What an endearing story of love. Connor’s love for Shay, as well as for his mom. And as always in Becky Wade’s books, God’s love for us.

This novella reminds me of the Hallmark movie How To Fall In Love. So fans of Hallmark will enjoy this for sure.

It was great to catch up with the Miracle Five. Like Shay, I’m a huge fan of theirs. This was a nice bridge between Let it Be Me and Turn to Me but you don’t need to have read any of the Misty River series novels to enjoy this novella. It stands quite well on its own.

I received an early copy of the book from the author and was not required to write a review. All opinions are my own.

What a fun Christmas novella! The setup reminds me of the Hallmark movie "How to Fall in Love," which is one of my favorites. Shay and Connor are really cute together, and I loved watching Shay fall for him. Also, Shay's "fan girl" reaction to the Miracle Five was hilarious and felt pretty authentic - I especially loved the scene with Luke in the hardware store. Overall, a really fun Christmas read!

I loved this romantic Christmas novella! It is part of the Misty River Romance series, yet I believe it could easily be enjoyed as a stand alone even if you haven’t read the previous books in the series.

I really liked these two main characters! It was so sweet that Connor had loved Shay since he was a seventh grader. Yet, they were only friends back then and recently had renewed their friendship a couple of years earlier when Connor moved back to town. His plan and hope to win Shay and let her know what his true feelings were was just so very sweet. And Shay’s realization that Connor was the person her heart longed for was perfect.

This was an excellent novella that left me with an abundance of happy feelings when I turned the last page. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series!

Thanks to Ms. Wade for the chance to read an advance copy of this fabulous little novella! This is a fun addition to the Misty River series. I’m a sucker for a good friends-to-more story, especially unrequited love. Connor and Shay are darling together, and the story hits all the essential elements for a perfect holiday tale! Connor is the kind of hero who gets me every time, and Shay’s a great balance for him with her confidence and sass.

Some favorite quotes:

(About Luke, whose story is coming in 2022) “It was hard to know whether that was true because he was more reclusive than the Loch Ness Monster.” 😆

“Sometimes, she rubbed people the wrong way. They viewed her as too independent, too outspoken, too individual, too quick to stick up for herself or her business.” (I think she was probably writing about me instead of Shay here LOL!)

“An invitation to her place was worth more to him than an invitation to the treasure cave in Aladdin.” (Great visual!)

This book was adorable and filled with all the things I love about Becky Wade's writing.
My only complaint was that I wished it was longer so I didn't have to say goodbye to the characters so fast.

Adorable

This is such a sweet novella. I really enjoyed this short story about a hero who is a shy artist, and the girl he has loved since middle school. It was a fun read and I loved it. I also enjoyed the sneak peak to the author's upcoming book, Turn to Me. I can't wait to read about Luke.

What a sweet Christmas novella. Connor returns from living in Los Angeles to his hometown in Georgia to care for his mother. Connor has been in love with Shay since 7th grade and asks her to be his dating consultant in hopes of this sparking romance between them.

It was a pleasure reading Becky Wade’s stand alone novella You and Me. The story takes place around Christmas between book two, Let it Be Me, and the third book coming out in the spring of 2022, Turn to Me. Connor, the art teacher at Misty River high school, has been in love with Shay since they were in middle school. Connor rallies in this book to win her heart during the Christmas season in the town of Misty Rivers, Georgia. (insert long sigh)

I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and it is my new favorite novella by the author. It was humorous, engaging, and oh so delightful! I loved visiting with characters from the author’s other books in this series, and having more insight into their lives. You and Me added to the series and also gave you a sneak peek into the character of Luke who is in an upcoming story. It was just the story I needed to hold me over until spring when the next book in the series releases. If you have not read any of Becky Wade's other books you will enjoy her wonderful writing style in this story. It is a great introduction to the Misty Rivers series.

I highly recommend this fun Christmas novella, You and Me by Becky Wade. Your Christmas season needs this book! Trust me! You will LOVE it!

What a perfect novella! It's full of longing, romantic tension, anticipation, and a special ending! Even though it's part of a series, it can be enjoyed without having read the other books- although I'm sure it will make you want to read the rest of them immediately! I felt like I quickly got to know Connor and Shay, understood their vibe and the dynamic of their relationship, and loved every minute of their path to Shay recognizing her feelings and Connor revealing his. Love, love, loved it!

A sweet and meaningful Christmas novella from Becky Wade! You and Me is a great holiday read, with lots of intriguing snippets of characters from Wade’s Misty River Romance series. Wade is so good at fitting a satisfying story within the confines of a novella—readers are sure to enjoy Connor and Shay’s love story! 4.5/5 stars

I loved the IDEA of this story!! The “dating consultant” trope was fun and unique. But something about the story fell short for me…

I thought it was super sweet how much Connor loved Shay, and how long! (Middle school crushes are adorable)

But Shay only “seeing” him after she agreed to spend time with him felt off for some reason. Like she started noticing him once he was potentially “no longer available”.

Regardless, it was a cute story overall! And a super fast read!
I loved how Becky reminded us of the TRUE meaning of Christmas. In all the hustle & bustle and fun traditions we have — it’s really about so much more!

This was pretty cute. I wasn’t sure I’d be interested in it because of the cover, but I actually ended up liking it more than I thought I would. Both main characters were likable and there was only one kiss at the end. I enjoyed the Christmas aspects of the story, and the fact that the real reason for Christmas was shared.

This is a great novella!

I love the story in this novella. It's a scheme of hiring a dating consultant to spend time with the girl he truly adored and loved. By the end of the novella....oh wait, I cannot tell you that! Becky Wade's writing never disappoints.
