Full disclosure: I’m only about ½ way through this book right now but I felt so compelled to write a review already. It’s that good!
Twist Your Fate is perfect for those who are interested in learning about their astrological chart and how one can harness it and Tarot to manifest success. I’ve been following Theresa Reed on Instagram for about a year now. Her content is relatable, and she presents it in a way that is easy for me to digest.
The way she writes makes me feel like I’m listening to a great friend teach me something in the most enjoyable/fun way possible. This book covers a lot: Great review of the zodiac, houses, planets, aspects, elements, and qualities (just to name a few!). I especially love the interactive charts where I can fill out my info to easily connect later topics back to my personal chart and understand them as they relate to me personally. Theresa’s anecdotes, journaling prompts and super fun exercises keep me engaged and learning. I agree 100% with Madame Pamita - this book is “A must for your magical Bookshelf”.

I think this was a good dip into the world of astrology and tarot. This is definitely a book you’ll want to buy and write in (unfortunately I only had a library copy) if you’re looking to deep dive into your own birth chart. I also think it would be good to look back on over time!

Twist Your Fate

Theresa Reed is one of my favorite authors. Twist your Fate: Manifest Success with Astrology and Tarot is the fourth book of Reed’s in my personal library with a goal to collect all eight and any that arrive in the future! Twist Your Fate is the equivalent of sitting down to talk to an intelligent, uber knowledgeable, and entertaining friend with excellent appetizers, a drink of your choice, and a highlighter so you don’t miss anything. You feel like you are in the room with her. Just as a question pops to mind - she answers it on the next page. Theresa explains the planets, transits, and tarot so clearly and succinctly, that the personal revelations and “how to” use astrology and tarot to achieve your personal goals come at you as fast as someone slinging cards at the family reunion poker table.
The insights I gained are literally life-changing. Not without some effort. Don’t worry though. Reed encourages your effort from a place of excitement and clarity, and moves at your own pace attitude, thus eliminating any sense of feeling overwhelmed.
The book combines facts about various concepts from astrology and tarot with real-life examples (Dolly may have been my favorite), with exercises. This provides a tangible context allowing you to integrate the information and anchor these new skills in your reality and actually USE them! I was empowered with a new confidence in astrology and my Big Three. I feel like I have a new cartography set and I can draw my own maps any time I have a new goal or set a new course.
I’ve had the book for two weeks. I am already seeing changes in my life. If you pick up this book with the belief that the ideas will work and open yourself to the possibility of true and lasting transformation, it will. For some of us getting what we want will bring its own challenges. With this book, you will need to be ready to reach your goals and find success. But that’s ok because all the way through the book, Theresa has written in a way that makes you feel like she is right there saying “Take a deep breath – keep going -you’ve got this”. Grab your journal and start reading! Highly recommend.
If you like this book you will enjoy “Tarot For Troubled Times” and “Astrology for Real Life” both by Theresa Reed, and “The Crow Tarot” by MJ Cullinane – order it with the THICK book of her interpretations.

I am waiting for a memoir where she spills the tea on her Rock and Roll / Punk antics and hilarious stories about people she has encountered.

I am creating the future I want by not only actively reading Twist Your Fate: Manifest Success with Astrology and Tarot, but also making sure to do EACH and EVERY Astro and Tarotcise in the book. This book is worth it’s weight in gold. During one exercise I discovered that my being on the West coast teaching at the Northwest Tarot Symposium on my birthday will have a significant impact on my business over the next year because of my solar return. No idea what I’m talking about? GET THE BOOK! This isn’t a read it, cross off your to-do list, and then shelf it type of book, this is something you revisit over and over on the regular. It is THE HOLY GRAIL of running a Universally inspired and aligned business for success. I have taken classes with and followed Theresa for over two years now and for good reason, she knows her astrology, tarot and business, the ability to do a mashup is truly genius! “Twist your Fate” does just that, helps you twist your fate. Thank you Theresa for sharing your immense wisdom with the world.

I've always found astrology overwhelming to learn, with aspects and nodes and houses and all the rest. But I feel a little less overwhelmed by it after reading this. In fact, I'm more interested than I've ever been. I'm hooked. It was a passing thought before, years ago, when I met an astrologer friend of a friend. She got excited when she saw my chart, said something about Neptune. (Don't recall specifically what she said about it, just her excitement.) She also informed me that a "love" interest at the time wasn't in the stars. (I sensed it, but the stars confirmed it.) I recently looked up my North Node and discovered it is in Aries in my tenth house. Which excites me, because of a "wish" I've had. I think of it now, not as a wish, but a goal, because I see that the stars support it. Theresa Reed is an excellent teacher. I get so much out of her books.

Theresa Reed has been reading tarot cards for over 40 years. She maintains an active Patreon account where she teaches monthly tarot and astrology classes. She has written several books on both tarot and astrology. TWIST YOUR FATE is not a book for beginners in either tarot or astrology (TAROT NO QUESTIONS ASKED and ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE would be books for beginners) This book is written from an entirely career perspective to using tarot and astrology for introspection. Ms. Reed's language is straightforward and makes it easy to apply to real world situations. The tarot card interpretations are short but potent. The astrology details are conveyed in a manner that makes complex concepts seem effortless. It has become the first book I grab when I am doing a career tarot card reading for myself.

Starts with brief on astrological charts: planets, houses, signs. That alone is a lot to get familiar with.
Then reading particular aspect of one’s chart.
The big three: rising/ascendant, moon, sun.
Then mid heaven. Then 10th house (career).
After that is the nodes, transit, with focus on son Moon, Mars Saturn, and Jupiter (the latter to our opportunity and structure). Then returns: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, squares, opposition, and return, solar, return, lunar return.
It’s a lot, but even understanding the chart basics better feels good to me.
Vocations and life callings are suggested. That was weird.
Then on to Tarot.
After that is an introduction to tarot and each of the cards in the major and minor Arcana. And a bit about how to use them, with a few different spreads. The spreads are fun.

I love how Theresa Read explains super complicated astrology in easy to digest bites and allows you to understand your own placements so you can begin to see the big picture within those details. This is also the first book on Tarot that allowed me to understand this tool deeper. Combine the two with this no-nonsense, street-wise, style of writing and you've got yourself a recipe for leveling up your life. I have already gifted this book and bought a second copy to be able to use as a reference book with scribbling highlights and post-its dog-earing spots of not only inspiration but killer information. If you have an inkling toward learning either astrology or tarot, get this book.

I just finished reading this book and am already recommending it to friends and family, particularly entrepreneurs. What a practical and useful book that weaves together Tarot and Astrology techniques to help anyone with their career and prosperity goals. Theresa Reed's voice is down-to-earth and conversational, making this a quick and useful read, as well as an empowering one. I'm going to get a print copy to go with my ebook, because I know this is one I'm going to pull off the shelf and refer to over and over.

Easy to read, relatable in a sense that i am able to understand what i read and informative. I am following Theresa on IG and i find her daily Tarot readings funny and helpful, as she makes the daily sessions so entertaining and engaging for all who join the Live.
I am fairly new to this matter and am just beginning to learn how the planets affect our daily lives, but authors like Theresa make it easy and fun for people like me to engage. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books from her 🪐🍀

Theresa is such a thoughtful and experienced teacher, and her wisdom really comes through in this book. Combining tarot and astrology through her wise, light-hearted lens, Twist Your Fate is an excellent guide to utilizing these tools for personal growth, success, and confidence, in business as well as in other aspects of life. I'm a huge fan of Theresa's work and writing, and I think this might be her best book yet!

A good introduction to astrology and tarot for career, but it felt a little bare-bones to me. I wish that each of the topics were expanded upon more. It felt more like a primer than an actual guide. Still, it was easy to read and follow and gave me a good intro to things I've always tried to learn about like astrological returns :)

This book does exactly what it says it does. Extremely fascinatingly written. At times I missed some explanations for the astrological part (I didn’t quite get the transitions part…), but as an introduction to astrology it was extremely useful. I am very happy and appreciate that there is a practical part and also the separate chapter on intuition. I was not captivated by the tarot part and the author lost me there, but I think that is also due to the fact that I am not a fan of tarot in general… The book didn’t change my life but the it doesn't promise that anyway.
