Sin Demons #5

When Hell Freezes Over

Rate this book
There are enemies everywhere… But none as deadly as the one lurking inside me.

Vampire gangs, Lucifer rising, hellhounds on the loose, and an unruly shadow creature hell-bent on taking control… And no, that’s not the beginning of a bad joke. It’s a nightmare.

And it’s my life.

To get to Hell and stop the coming war, we need to find the last three relics and open the gates. But the greatest threat isn’t Lucifer. It’s the creature who shares my soul.

Hell will freeze over before my demons let me go, but with Sayah’s powers and influence growing, I’m not sure anyone can stop my greatest fear from coming true.

I’m losing myself to the darkness.

And scariest of all… I like it.

Review (9/15/2022): I read this months ago and remain enchanted by the story. With only one more book left I fear I put off writing this review because I didn’t want the series ride to be over. With this written, I have no more justification to not finally pick up -Hell on Earth and the unexpected to me bonus book Snowball's Chance in Hell.

Into the story. Aria has a lot going on and honestly I feel a little overwhelmed on her behalf. Sayah’s not one to remain leashed and hellhounds (not her hellhound boyfriend) are going after her.

Cain ohh sin of Pride has a really interesting dynamic with Maverick his brother and perhaps yet another to win a piece of Aria’s heart. I’m being a little dramatic but I am excited to see how Maverick fits into the final dynamic. He’s kind of a wild card.

Elias just can’t catch a break. When you read it, you’ll get it. At the time I was SOOO angry but I have sinced calmed down and can acknowledge the man needed closure. But what a b*tch?

Dorian is Dorian. Sexy incubus. If he was your cuppa tea, the first time around, I can guarantee you’ll still like him in the fifth book.

This was such a multifront book with so many plots that really excited me but it wasn’t perfect in a book with 4.5 stars. I really want to get to book 6 but uni has been a situation so I’m tempering my hope to read it during Thanksgiving break in November. Expect my reviews to be library audiobooks or books I read for class.

Hell really did freeze over!

Maverick is even more involved in this book than the last, and now we see not only his relationship with Aria grow, but with the guys too.
I really liked seeing him and Dorian in the Amazon rainforest, when Aria described them talking ”almost” normally to each other.
And when he and Cain had a moment.
Cain remembered how their father almost killed Maverick one day, and even though they weren’t close, Cain had saved his life. It was sweet, and they felt like brothers in that moment.

FINALLY we figure out what Aria really is. And it was a really good addition to have an angel reveal it. I wish the angel hadn’t been even more cold blooded than the demons, but that’s okay. Cain beat him up for daring to put his hand on Aria’s throat.

The vampire problem also resolves itself in this book.
And purgatory. That was really sad. That’s all I will say. Devastating really.

My favourite part however was Cain and Aria. Cain is definitely my favourite love interest, and I feel like the two of them have just grown so much relationship wise, compared to the other two.
Cain admitted that he loves her. That he is in love with her melted my heart, I am not even joking.

Elias and Aria also had a really sweet moment when they went to see her mother together, and he admitted he loved her too. With his past with Serena being what it was I feel like this was a huge milestone for him.

And the end of the book. Oh my god. Just. I don’t even know what to feel.

They just keep gettin better. I mean it!!!! Usually with long series like this I get bored and feel like the authors just drag the plot out wayyyyy too much. But this series is the OPPOSITE. I didn’t even realized I was already done with book 5 and now I’m just sad. Only one more book and honestly? There is so much to wrap up I’m eager to see it all unfold. God the action and suspense these books have is jaw dropping.
This book was def one of my favs. It had me in tears from the humor, the mushy gushy romance, and the moments where Aria FINALLY embraced her bad bitch energy. All of them have grown so much😭😭 warms my heart. AND how she has all three of these men (demons) eating out her her hand?!?! The way they’re all three SO DOWN BAD for her has me prancing around and giggling fr
(okay damn bitch pipe tf down)

I can’t believe we are already at the fifth book in this series, and we have only one more to go. In this latest, Aria is having trouble keeping Sayah leashed, hellhounds keep trying to get to her, Nightwalkers are out to take over, they must find the pieces of the harp, and she’s feeling inappropriate feelings for Maverick. Poor Aria has a lot on her plate. This book was steamier than the ones before it (whew, hot!!) and we see her get closer to her men. Not only that, but there is also a lot of action (both kinds, wink, wink) and now I’m anxiously awaiting the next one to see how they are going to figure out what to do next after the end of this one. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Bring suspense and thrills to the top

Aria, an unknown supernatural, and her three demons (Cain, Dorian, and Elias) have completed the blood bonding ritual with an unexpected consequence. As the story progresses things fall further out of control, they are fighting on multiple fronts, and learning the truth of Aria’s origins does not guarantee them safety. Mila Young and Harper A. Brooks bring suspense and thrills to the top in When Hell Freezes Over. They get some answers to questions that have plagued them from the beginning, but more questions have popped up just waiting for Hell on Earth to provide the solution.

I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

I kind of have a love/hate relationship with any book that ends in such a manner as to wipe any and all thoughts I had about the book up to that point from my brain. This book ended like that. I’m dying to find out what happens next, but I’ve kind of forgotten everything that came before that ending. I think this book has given me as many new questions as it provided answers to old ones. I loved seeing Aria find confidence in who and what she is, and deepening the relationship with her demons. I need the next book NOW!

Holy hell!

This series never fails to surpass itself. 😍 In this book we get exhilarating battles, burning hot steamy scenes, strong emotions and some brilliant laugh out loud moments. Elias and Dorian's antics never fail to amuse and now it seems like they may be adding another member to their ranks. 😜
We had some big mysteries unravelled, some foes defeated and new foes revealed.
With twists and turns and surprising revelations, this book certainly holds you attention.
The next one can't come too soon. 😍

Aria still cannot control the creature inside her. They do not know what it is and if it wants to save or kill Aria. Lucifer won't give up on her, but he doesn't know neither. It's only thanks to an archangel that they finally figure it out, and now all that is left is find the rest of the relics, destroy Lucifer and live happily ever after. Things would also be easier if they could trust Maverick. I can't wait for the next book.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

I'm really enjoying this series, I adore Aria and her men and the addition of Maverick even if him turning up is complicated. They still have pieces of the relic to find, they have to find out what Sayah is, dethrone Lucifer, and stop the Nightwalkers trying to take over their territory. Honestly, not a long list at all. Ha. There are definitely some steamy scenes in this one, maybe even one including two guys which was hot as hell, literally.

A really enjoyable read and I can't wait for the next book.

That ending! Come on now, I was really liking Maverick !! I’m curious to see how that all pans out.

I’m convinced the first 3 books of this series were originally going in a different direction. They were ok. Books 4 and 5 are great!

We finally have everything. Night walkers are taking over. Answers for Aria! Romance. Real feelings! The dark is rising and Aria is both afraid of it and trying to understand why she enjoys it so much!

This book was sexy and full of action. The poor girl just can’t catch a break and she is in need of a vacation! Lol. I am loving all of the guys and need to know how Maverick is going to fit in or not. I’m hoping yes, but this ending completely throws you and you don’t see it coming!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 5/5
*Multiple first person POV
*Fast Burn
*Ends on cliffhanger

Gosh I love this story a lot. This book has it all with the action, love, steam and everything in between. I love Aria and the guys a lot and are they adding another in their ranks? This book holds your attention with the plot twists and I can't wait to read the final book. This will end in a cliffhanger.

What just happened

This book is amazing. It picks up without missing a beat. Aria and the Demons are trying to figure out exactly what it is that is going with her, and keep finding more questions than anything else. I love the growth that Aria goes through in this story.
Mila Young and Harper Brooks know how to turn up the heat and the suspense that will make you not want to put this down.

***4 1/2 stars***

The Sins Demons series just doesnt seem to run out of pace even in this book which is book 5 in this series. So much is packed into this book. Hellhounds, Vampires, Lucifer as well as four hot demons - Cain, Dorian, Elias and now Maverick and Sayah its a lot for Aria to contend with. All of that is mixed in with plenty of steam. the Christmas part was particularly hot!! It was so good and that cliffhanger ending was just knockout!! Im dying to get my hands on the last book now

Not yet the end...

I thought this was the last book of the serie and was thrilled finally knowing what would happened to Aria and her guys...but no!!!😭😭😭 Still, this is a good book. Some things finally settled, explanations were given but there were still a lot of secrets and plotting.
Aria struggled against Saya's influence but will find a way to "reconcile" with her . At some times, Cole is still an ass*ole🙄 and we can say the same thing about his brother Maverick... this family...🙄🤦🏻‍♀️
The cliffhanger is just crazy and I hope that the traitor has a very good explanation about his behaviour😡
Really look forward the last one!

The further we get in this series, the more is being revealed about Aria and her demons, and the more intriguing she actually becomes - the aura of mystery does not simply disappear, it prevails, only changes forms. As much as Aria, having to deal with Sayah and trying to figure out how to get back in control. I really liked how the relationships were changing and developing in this book, and that cliffhanger now leaves me hanging for more, desperate to see how it will settle. It was a whirlwind of action, adventure, and drama, and I hope that the 6th book will bring the epic climax towards which this series is heading.

When Hell Freezes Over is the fifth book in Mila Young's Sin Demons series. Things really hit the ground running with this book as the author picks up where book four left off. Where book four was more languid and lacking in overall pacing, book five hits the ground running and is really packed with a ton of drama and danger.
Things kick off with Sayah making herself known loud and clear. She's taken control of Aria and that pretty much means everyone is in danger. But, even when they get Aria to come back to them...the threats aren't over. Sayah lurks just below the surface, pushing Aria's darker emotions into overdrive so she can take control. Hellhounds are hunting Aria and a vampire gang is looking to take over the city from Viktor and the demons. Can things get anymore chaotic? Yes. Through in the relics that they need to get back to hell and an archangel who knows exactly what Aria is...and you have a maelstrom of a story.
This book, in my opinion, is way better than book four. I like the pacing and the amount of drama. Of course, there is a ton of steamy so those who crave those steamy moments...you'll be more than pleased with what you get. While this book has a lot going for it, it has its downsides, too.
Aria has not aged, so for her to be talking about "there better be a 5-star hotel somewhere" shows how quickly she has 1) become spoiled by the guys and 2) forgotten her more than humble beginnings. It's disappointing...and a bit irritating. Then there is the back and forth between them all. I get annoyed when one gets in "trouble" with her and is now on the outs. They practically leap at the chance to be the one she chooses to favor next. They start getting possessive of her, and it seems a step backward from how things were in some scenes. Sorry, not sorry but Elias just gets on my nerves this book. He wants to fight all the time, jumps to conclusions so far from the truth they are wider than the Grand Canyon. He needs a tight leash and a time-out. Also, can we not go there with the insecurities? They should all be secure in their overall relationship and not simply react because now they want to act like their "prized relationship" is being "threatened" by a non-entity.
This book is really good, but I'm beginning to get a bit tired. The storyline hopefully will be coming to a close soon, because there are some scenes that just feel like filler. I've enjoyed these characters a lot, but I think that soon it will be time for this storyline to end and the big battle to come already. I'm rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's better than book four, and so I'm happy with that. I just need the double standards, the pettiness, and insecurities...to stop.

Sin Demons continues the fifth book in the series When Hell Freezes Over and I don't know if it's because this is the fifth book and I know these characters so well but this boot was such a hoot. It has all the chaos madness, destruction, violence, and adventure I've come to expect from this series.

Aria and Sayah are in a power struggle but Aria is stubbornly spunky and is finding her way in her demons' world. While she is afraid of Sayah and has had some setbacks, she's not willing to give in, finding strength in the least likely of places. From that strength, Aria kinda becomes a badass, it's fairly impressive. Aria has faced so much and continues to stand strong with her demons by her side.

I cannot believe it, everyone is admitting their feelings, and the bond between Aria and the demons is strong. The demons are growing more protective of her by the day and actually worry about their relationship with her especially when problems keep popping up. There are sweet little moments between them and it becomes clear that they never want to let Aria go. Even more surprising is Maverick in all this. The demon is twisted and doesn't even know his own motives and half the things he says I question but he surprised me.

More crazy adventures were in this, from a trip to the psychic ward to the Amazon, things are never boring with this group. A good amount of information was revealed, including Aria's past, which was surprising yet absolutely believable. Then there was Stephen, the vampire that has the Nightwalkers attacking Cain at every turn is finally unveiled and talk about a plot twist. Not only that but I finally got some answers about what Sayah is, talk about a game changer.

When Hell Freezes Over was awesome, I loved every minute of it. The shaky alliances, daring adventures, steam scenes, and laughable moments all made for great entertainment. I can't wait to see how it all ends in the sixth and final book in the series, Hell on Earth.

Aria was at her limit with Sayah taking over and in such a scary way for everyone. More than ever answers were needed because Cain, Elias, and Dorian weren't willing to lose Aria and a new and deadly threat was looming over her. Maverick was a new card in the game, and he seemed to want to win the game, but what was the Sin Demon of Greed looking for? Lucifer had a plan but the struggle for power did not come only from him with the Nightwalkers threatening Demons and vampires. Some mysteries were revealed, relationships were intensified and become more real, enemies were faced, Aria gained more confidence, and when things seemed under control, the unexpected hit and strong. A big and intriguing twist! ‘Son of a cat hunts mouse’. Action, suspense, strong emotions, violence, a jungle adventure, mystery, a funny celebration, an exciting battle and a lot of burning and explosive passion. Now to wait for the final book to see what surprise the author has in store for us because I’m sure it’s big.

Say it's not so!! I didn't see that ending coming at all. Im dying to find out what going to happen next. This book we get exhilarating battles, scorching hot encounters, some laugh out loud moments, and we can't forget Elias and Dorian's antics it always but a smile on my face but now it looks like we might of have added another to the ranks. It's still too early to see where his loyalty lies. But we however had some major mysteries unravelled to be honest I didn't see that coming. We also saw some foes be defeated and new ones be revealed. With all the twists and turn and surprising revelations I'm left with eager anticipation on to what yet to come. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.

Entertaining

Well, this books title is aptly named. There was so many situations where they were overrun with bad guys but they always prevailed even if they were bumped and bruised. The multiple point of views gave the book so much insight into each character that it was easy to root for them all. These darn relics are gonna be the death of me. Each time they find one, trouble finds them. And now someone found their stach, I refuse to beleive that Maverick did all that just to steal their relics. I think he went after who he thinks stole them. For some reason, Joseline’s name popped up. She was the only one Aria told about looking for them. With her contract broken, I think someone else swooped in and re contracted her again. Maybe Lucifer? Guess we will find out in the next book!

The hits don't stop coming in this book! Aria and her demons are navigating their relationships, trying to find the missing relics and dealing with Cain's brother Maverick. The relationships are pretty important here, they develop and change and strengthen. The search for relics gets interesting and provides a big dose of crazy action in the middle of the rainforest. And Maverick, who is maybe not so self serving as he seems, the attraction between him and Aria is super hot, but it's his encouraging her to find her own strength and power that really makes me want to believe in him! The Christmas scenes are ADORABLE! So if you want action, laughs, heavy emotions and a ton of knuckle biting action - this is definitely one for you!

I just love this series.

While reading an arc of book 5 I couldn’t help but look back at book one and see how far this crew has come. Tons of adventures. Lots of growth as individuals and as a unit. Plus Cassiel…🤣 love the fur ball.

Anyway this book was …

Amazing! The heat 🥵 ahh yes. And then the Christmas gift 😜 and onesies 🤣 plus that epic battle at the end 🥳 I had so much fun reading it. I was mad I had to go adult so long. By the way that ending 🤯 brutal!! I’m actually nervous for the conclusion because of the flashes the relic eluded too.

Color me an over romantic lover but Maverick needs some love too…hint hint. I laughed at his and Dorians back and forth in the Amazon.

Who knew antiheroes could be so much fun?!

What a book this was, there was so much crammed into the pages of this book!
Leaving off from the last book we now have Maverick added into the mix. Our 3 demons don't like him and don't trust him but Aria is confused about her feelings for him as there is definitely an attraction between them. The search continues for the relics, there is a meeting with Aria's mother and a visit from an angel where we finally learn what Sayah is. We also have some scorching hot sex scenes, a battle of epic proportions where my leg was nervously bouncing throughout it and the book ends with the ultimate betrayal. With one book left in the series this is shaping up to be one of the best series I have ever read!

Hell froze over!

This book picks up where book 4 leaves off and it is seriously amazing!
Aria is back and better than ever! Aria and her Sin Demons CANNOT catch a break. Cain, Elias and Dorian are the PERFECT opposites to Aria and I have loved all of these characters and watching them grow. You experience their personalities as you read the story. This book will keep you in suspense throughout, but you do finally get some answers to questions that have plagued you from the beginning while also having more questions come up.
I’m so ready for Hell on Earth but also dreading it. I’m not ready for this series to end, but also can’t wait to see how it does end!
I highly recommend this read!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER". WOW!!!! This is such a rollercoaster ride full of lots of action, intrigue, mystery, suspense, steam, chaos, danger, Hellhounds, Nightwalkers, twists that keep you turning the pages.
Aria & her Demons still have three relics to find to open the gates & she's fighting Sayah the creature trying to take over her soul the darkness is getting harder to fight & she likes it will it take her over.
I definitely recommend to get this on the edge of your seat read with an epic cliffhanger, we learned more about Sayah but there's still secrets that need to be revealed I so can't wait for next book in this series "HELL ON EARTH"

Man oh man this series is my new addition. Each book starts where the previous book leaves off and in each book you see the relationship between the characters grow even more than before. There are parts where you need a cold shower, scenes that make you here in excitement, scenes that you want to cry over, but throughout all of this book you are on the edge of your seat with each surprise that these characters face. Aria is so much stronger than she was in the beginning and you get to see that strength magnify greatly. I absolutely love this series, I couldn't put this book down once I started. I can't wait to see where book 6 takes us next. Highly recommend this book and series.

You can't but help to absolutely love Aria, Cain, Dorian, and Elias. These guy's have amazing chemistry and their personalities are amazing. You can feel their personalities throughout the story. But there is betrayal in this book and so much action that you'll absolutely love it. This book is most definitely a fantastic read and a must read

Aria is still struggling to control Sayah - That’s putting it lightly! We finally find out what Sayah is though (thanks to an archangel), but this just raises more questions!
There is plenty of actions and steamy scenes in this book. Though I think the emotional relationships between characters need to evolve - Aria plays favourites and they fight for the top position. If you’re going to have a harem, manage it better! Particularly as Aria looks like she may be considering adding another member! Can Maverick even be trusted? Watch out for the cliff at the end! Is it a betrayal or a misunderstanding…?
