I enjoyed reading this and sped through it 😂 and now wishing I took it slower I like the characters and the way the story is going it's not predictable and KC Freeman has some unique idea's at least to me I like that they don't all have the same supe powers that you read about in every other book. It does leave you hanging at the end, but I will definitely be on the lookout for the next book hopefully we won't be waiting too long but it's worth it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I read The Mermaid and the Pearl by Rosalyn Briar.
Wow! What a really cool take on The Little Mermaid. Featuring underwater circuses and skeleton dancing, this is a darker tale with a lot of heart. Muriel's voice commands the undead, as long as she has their soul's pearl. She practices her routine for the travelling circus that aims to free merfolk enslaved by humans. She is eager to join in her first sacrifice to feed the reef, but instead rescues a curious-looking human, the princess Yara.
This is a sapphic retelling, full of lovely characterisation (everymer is going to stick with me for a while) and grappling with some difficult themes of revenge and grief very nicely. I loved Muriel for her kind hearted nature without being too naive.
Recommended for fans of darker fairy tale retellings, also contains moderate steam.

You know those books that hook you in and don't let you go until the very last page? This here is one of them. From the very first page, where we learn that the entire family might be required to pay the price for a shameful event--which, by the way, was not their fault!--I was instantly enthralled. Literally could not move, could not speak, hardly breathed!
This is a dark fantasy book for sure, with lots of tension and threat. Knoxly handles it well, delivering us a protagonist we can root for in a very scary world.
Escaping through the Ancestor's Portal, Kiyoko runs to a realm inhabited by vicious shapeshifter clans locked in endless feuds. She has to get back to see her childhood friend, who may not be all he seems to be, but falls in with the hellhound who hunts her. Expect plenty of "lost in translation" and fish out of water moments, which I love!
Recommended for fans of fantasy on the darker side. Out 4th October as part of the Realm of Darkness set.

Splitting Dawn by Katherine D. Graham⭐⭐⭐⭐
This one verges on an epic fantasy feeling, but mashes up with some paranormal creatures too. The action was there right from the start, and there were some great friends-to-lovers vibes going on in the beginning. Then it turns to a few other tropes that are nicely interwoven. Readers get a broad taste of fantasy in this work. Definitely another enjoyable read in this set.
Charm & Mayhem by Sky Sommers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm certain this will get tons better when Sommers has finished the edits! I'll revise then.
9/29 update - YES, the edits made this sweet romance sparkle. Loved Gabe again! Updated to 5*
This story about Marina and Gabe is so sweet, quirky, and touching. I adored the play between the two characters: a modern woman and a man born in the 1500s. The practicalities and sensibilities between the people from different time periods was absolutely fabulous.
Charm & Mayhem dovetails into Sommers' Magic Mirrors Saga, but will be the first in the series about her goddesses. The reason (at the moment) for the reduction of one star is the ability to jump into this novel without having the backstory. Fortunately, I think she has had some good early-reader guidance in this area and is working to make it clearer for new-to-her readers.
I recommend this one to lovers of angel/goddess stories, quirky humor, and (oh, yes) twists on fairytales.

I was lucky to beta read SoulBreather by Helen Garraway, and it is fantastic! The world building is incredibly detailed and fascinating while the characters Solanji and Mav are deep and have such a wonderful chemistry.
Solanji is such an interesting character with incredible "soul breathing" magic abilities. I think the characters that truly stole my heart, though, were the children that Mav helps.
If you love fantasy with unique religious world building and magic, I highly recommend SoulBreather.
I look forward to reading even more stories within the Realm of Darkness set!

I received a free ARC of The Mermaid & the Pearl by Rosalyn Briar, one of the novels contained within this fantastic anthology, and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I’m a long-term fan of Briar’s writing and this latest offering is no exception.
A Sapphic Little Mermaid retelling, featuring a dark underwater circus (if you liked The Night Circus, Caraval or The Greatest Showman you’ll love this) it’s the story of Muriel, a circus performer with the ability to make skeletons dance, who falls in love with Yara, a human, and must overcome deeply entrenched prejudice if she’s to follow her heart.
I once agin fell under the spell of Briar’s incredible world-building. She always manages to create beautifully detailed, engrossing fictional worlds that I just want to immerse myself in, along with compelling, sympathetic characters and romances that you can’t help but root for.
I absolutely loved how inclusive this retelling is, and the cameo appearances from some of my favourite characters from one of Briar’s earlier novels - A Sea of Pearls and Leaves. The books are standalones and you don’t need to have read the earlier novel to enjoy The Mermaid & The Pearl but I heartily recommend trying A Sea of Pearls and Leaves after reading this!

Fight for Darkness by Susan Stradiotto and S. Johnson ARC Review:
I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to others to read it. I give it 5/5 stars. The story line was very interesting and the character buildup was very well done. Such as the background on both the main characters Kane and Malin. It was essential to give the background of both Malin and of Kane to really understand each other and their interactions with one another. They were so similar yet very different in their pain and loss that had driven them to be who they were in the story line and to have them so drawn towards one another. You really feel attached to both and can feel their emotions to each other all throughout the book. The ending was a bit surprising and unexpected. Warning some of the fight scenes are really graphic especially towards the end and the romance is very hot and spicy but in a very good way.
I also liked the idea that Malin is fighting for darkness was actually fighting for good. Instead of light always being portrayed as good and darkness being portrayed as evil. We are always taught that light is good and darkness is evil so at first it was a difficult concept to grasp for me and then further down the story line it really made sense. The realm that she is protecting is in the darkness that was created to keep their dragons protected from the light that could harm them. You have dark witches and dragons that’s separated by a portal to the darkness realm called Penumbra versus the light realm that has humans and the beast that wants to destroy it all and works for the light. Even the world build up was excellent and not the usual.
There was definitely some good spice especially between Kane and Malin but I was hoping there would also be some spice between Conri and Kiera. I am hoping there is some more Conri and Kiera action in the next book because there was definitely something going on between the two that did not get shared in this book. Is there more to them than meets the eye? All in all I very much enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more.

Kierra is told she is to marry César (a skilled elite) she is none to pleased and sets about finding a way out of the marriage.
She finds escape in the form of the Demon Kind Draco. Or does she?
With Lunev, César, Touma, her mother and whole armies after her Kierra is left wondering what will happen next.

Upon first glance Kierra is a strong badass woman. And she is! I fell in love with her from the first page. She is unlike any other female heroine Katherine has written before.
While the first chapter or so seems a little slow it picks up the pace very quickly and it doesn’t stop once.
The plot twists come out of nowhere and are mind blowing.
The ending is so beautiful. I had to hold back tears (my advice. Don’t finish reading this while out in public)
I love the appearances and mentions of characters in the Splitting Dawn Novellas. I was taken by surprise and it was wonderful to see them again.
Katherine has written another wonderful story and I am excited to see the next step in the Splitting Worlds Series.

I read Renegade Angel by KC Freman. Terrific story about Jasper and Savannahaand what they go through to be together. Good characters and great story. I would recommend this book. .

This is a review of Beneath the Waves of Neversea by K.A.Last, of Inferno Games by Elise Knight and of Fight for Darkness by Susan Stradiotto. I’ll keep reading the ARC of this 30+ book box set and adding on to the review about my faves as I go.
5/5🌟 Beneath the Waves of Neversea by K.A. Last was a fab mashup retelling of Peter Pan meets Alice in Wonderland. If you like Once Upon A Time, you’ll love this book in the set.
Last’s Beneath the Waves of Neversea follows Barrie’s Peter Pan script with an additional layer of romantic yearning from Wendy and with spectacular twists & turns along the way.
17yo Wendeline who’s never been kissed falls out of a window hoping to fall into love. But as soon as they arrive in Neverland, she notices Peter’s true nature. Picture Pan as a fae(?) who bewitched Wendy and that her brothers went along not in whitless wonder but to protect her. Gives a bit of a different spin to the tale, doesn’t it?
I loved the fact that K.A.Last linked Neverland AND Wonderland and I adored the new version of Cheshire cat & Hatter’s family lineage and…but read it yourself to find out the links! I loved how Hatter and Wendie became beacons of hope for each other in Neverland. This is a coming of age story for both, Wendie & Pan, darker than the original tale and it definitely kept me at the edge of my seat & glued to the pages.

Road to Hell laden with good intentions, proverbially. When 27yo Quinn Valentine crashes billionaire Felix Barclay’s party to hold him accountable for the suicide of her 15yo sister, little does she know she’ll end up in Hell as well. Seesaw emotions and multiple romances of the FMC, mistreatment by not so subservient server-demons, digging deep behind the whys behind the characters actions - loved it! Absolutey loved this fast-paced hellish action-adventure, could not put it down! Underdog heroine, multiple love-interests (not all of them desired), being picked on by demons, fearing for her life but unable to die - this was an angsty and emotionally volatile but entertaining read, can’t wait (but will have to) for book #2 Lust. New fave dark romance author - found.
Recommended for lovers of fast-paced RH action-adventure romance, demons and strong, determined, near-angelic heroines battling phobias, low self-esteem and lust.
Trigger warnings: The start scene will be painful for victims of bullying and mentions suicide; also, the book might be difficult to read for survivors of assault. Heat level: hot (body parts mentioned, on page bedroom scenes and swearing).
5/5🌟 Fight for Darkness by Susan Stradiotto - Venom meets Jessica Jones
Wow! This was dark and juicy. Darker than Stradiotto’s usual books - very noir feel to it - and I loved it! Stradiotto turns things on its head in this one - dark is the new light. This is a good vs evil action-adventure with a sideline of PNR romance (so romantic fantasy that’d work even without the romance). The book is very emotionally raw, loved the tempo, the beat, the language and Stradiotto will even make you love the darkness.
Kane is a fighter with rage episodes. When he sees things he shouldn’t have in an alley & meets Malin, a dark witch, his life as he knows it is over. I loved Kane’s character development and the fact that Malin was also no pushover, they were quite evenly matched. I loved that the dude wanted the girl to save him(!) - not the usual trope. I liked how Kane’s Rage became a separate being and that the coach got his comeuppance, tho in such a gory way that I’ll probably have nightmares for a while. While it’s on the long side, the book kept me at the edge of my seat until the very last page & I definitely want the next instalment as am addicted to this universe now. Pedal faster, Susan, I beg ya.
Trigger warnings: there are some gory kill scenes; might be difficult to read for people with PTSD and survivors of MM rape. Also, heat level 4/5 (18+) as there are scenes with body parts mentioned.
The set has 30+ novel-length books, so I’ll have plenty of PNR romances to read in the coming months. Will be posting updated reviews on the ones I absolutely adored.

I have only read Beneath the Waves of the NeverSea
by K.A. Last and Charm and Mayhem by Sky Sommers in this anthology but I really liked them both!
Beneath the Waves of the NeverSea was a twisted mashup that merged characters we all remember from Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland meeting in Neverland and the adventures they have together. In this twisted tale Peter is controlling others by his magic and Wendie soon discovers she needs to be far away from his influence! She finds an ally in a “lost boy” who turns out to actually be a “lost girl” who is there because of the memorizing effects Peter’s magic and eyes had on her as well.
They meet the characters from Alice and free the Mad Hatter and try and see how they can leave Neverland. Unfortunately tragedy befalls them and they want Peter to pay for what he’s done to them! This story will continue in a second book and I can’t wait to read it and see what happens next!
Charm & Mayhem is about the “wicked witch” from Sky’s book Cinders who is sent back to the Earth Dimension with the Guardian Angel Gabriel as the new Goddess of Fate. She finds out magic isn’t working and by talking to Henry from the Magic Kingdom gets the idea to meet up with the other goddesses and see what can be done about it. She and Gabriel have an attraction but she is conflicted because she doesn’t know if it’ll work out because of who they are now besides working through some other issues as well. Other characters from Cinders make an appearance and you’ll enjoy the interaction between Marina and Gabriel as she is now known again back in the Earth Dimension. Things will certainly not be dull with these two around!
If you like twisted tales which put some of your favorite characters you loved as a child in a whole new light you are sure to love these stories. I don’t know if the other stories will be twisted fairy tales or just twisted stories but if you enjoy twists to stories you’ll enjoy them as well!
I recommend you get this anthology and read about a whole new side of characters you loved reading about as a child!

This story was really interesting. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives from the various love interests in the interlude chapters. I thought all the characters were well developed. And I am definitely Team Touma.

I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am leaving a honest review. It is part of the Realm of Darkness: A Limited Edition Fantasy and Paranormal Collection
This new Novela from the acclaimed, award winning Fantasy writer Helen Garraway, far exceeds what she has written before. As the first line of the book states -
‘Not all that was good was in the light; there was good in the dark too, if you bothered to look.’
Helen Garraway. SoulBreather: Book One of the SoulMist series (Kindle Location 65).
This sets the theme which permeates throughout. Within this book, Helen has created two dystopian worlds, as far apart in both essence and goodness, as is humanly possible - Puronia, where all is ‘goodness and light,’ at least on the surface, and Eidolon a place of correction, where those who have sinned go to pay their penance.
There are two main protagonists, Mav (Demavrion) a fallen angel, and an archdeus, who was banished to Puronia many years before, for a crime he did not commit, and Solanji, a young woman who has hidden talents and powers, in that she can touch souls, and read peoples’ minds, which is something she has to keep hidden for her own safety. Time in these worlds has no meaning.
Solanji, whilst on a mission in Eidolon, finds Mav in a dire situation. Together they set to clear his name, and place him where he rightly belongs. Their journey is fraught with danger, as they battle those that would try to prevent this. As well as helping others that had been put to slavery.
The descriptions in this book, are what set it apart from other books of this genre. Helen is a master in conjuring, and creating these worlds. You feel the dank coldness, the constant drizzle as they make their journey throughout Eidolon. The pain and exhaustion, that envelopes these two people at every turn.
To sum up, I would say that even if you are not a fan of fantasy, this book will change your mind. Within its pages there is a wealth of emotions, injustice, hate, love and a person’s desire, no matter what their own circumstances are, to help and protect others.
It is an outstanding read, I cannot recommend it more highly.

Review of "Fate in the Flames" by Sierra Knoxly:
I am an absolute fan of this author's work, and even though she always writes something entirely different, I love it all. Still, "Fate in the Flames" is my favorite book by her hand so far. The world building is absolutely amazing, making it easy to envision a world that's both beautiful and brutal, and surprising with every step Sakura takes. The storybuilding was so wonderful, I couldn't put the book down at any point in the story, I just kept on turning pages even though I knew I should be doing other things. Seriously: who needs to work, or clean, or do the dishes when an amazing story like this lands on your ereader!?
A little about the characters: I really like Sakura’s spirit. She’s the epitome of brave. In my humble opinion, the author created a very realistic badass fmc. Not the kind that feels invincible, but the kind that pulls through no matter what happens. The kind of fmc you can't help but admire, while wishing you could be a little more like her. The connection between Sakura and Rivaan is really beautiful, and I like how it slowly developped throughout the story. There are a lot more characters I'm dying to find out more about, and to see what they will become to Sakura (enemy, friend, lover, ... the options are endless!).
I absolutely didn't want to leave this world when the story was finished, so I'm hoping the author will come with more real soon!

So many authors in one place!
I love anthologies because they are like a literary candy shop.
Some stories are sweet and ooey gooey…Fae Lis Bride by J.M. Butler for example.
Some are crunchy on the outside but melt to a sweet inner core…
Some are spicey…
Some have sharp pointy ends that you get to really sink your teeth into… Wind Across the Silver Blade by Catherine Glen.
Each story is something different so any craving you have can be satisfied.
All kinds of couple pairings, so many different worlds and of course the romance is the key ingredient.
I was a little confused with having to download part two of the set but it worked out fine and I got the stories I’ve been so looking forward too.

The World Below was a wonderfully intriguing mix of modern day meeting magic filled with political schemes, adolescent hormones, discovery of a hidden past and heritage, all gathered in a charming English setting. The characters are well developed as is the court, it has a feel reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet with star-crossed young blossoming love separated by society, however it develops naturally over the course of an adventure.
I look forward to seeing what happens next!.

I truly enjoyed reading the ARC for "Wind Across the Silver Blade" by Catharine Glen. It was such an exciting romantic fantasy that was set in such a unique world inspired by Japanese mythology. I loved the author's unique take on mythological creatures like kami and yokai, which she seamlessly integrated into the story.
I loved Yumi, as she was such a relatable and endearing FMC, who was a victim of awful circumstances but never failed to maintain her fierceness and independence. She was so strong and brave, and she was a survivor till the end.
While Touma was an overall great MMC, he did annoy me in the beginning with his resistance to entering into a relationship with Yumi. Touma and Yumi had so much swoon-worthy chemistry from the very beginning, and the payoff was so worth it. The steamy scenes were beautifully written and really emphasized how sweet Touma really is.
The adventure throughout the book was also super entertaining, although it did get a little confusing towards the end. I loved reading about all the secondary characters that Yumi and Touma came across throughout their adventures, as the author did a really good job of fully fleshing them out and making you either love or hate them.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a Japanese mythology-inspired romantic fantasy, with steamy romance, lush world-building, and a truly exciting plot.

I absolutely LOVED Katherine's story. Kierra is such a strong lead and the world Katherine created was so enjoyable. I wish it had been longer with a bit more detail here and there but the story was strong and enjoyable. I adored the characters and I really hope we get more of Kierra and her love interests because there is alot more to them and the end left me wanting more. I still have so much more I want to know. The world building was fantastic and the story gives alot of depth into the characters, learning that there is more than meets the eye for everyone. 10/10!!!

Such a massive collection! Where to start!
Loved the spicy bits in Fate in the Flames:
He covers his eyes with one hand and chuckles, the sound breaking into a choke as I !!!! him down again. I slide my hand to his stomach, loving the feel of the muscles flexing with his gasps of pleasure. But gasps are not enough. I want to hear screams like Sakura’s.
And Curse of the Dragon Heir S. R. Breaker:
She gasped at the slightest brush of his lips against the soft skin of her neck, her eyes closing as a crackle of energy rocketed through her.
With no further hint of reservation, Dathon flicked his tongue near her ear, tracing her earlobe, making her insides catch fire and she squirmed against the wall.
His chuckle rumbled in his chest at her encouraging response, his voice still husky. “And that’s just my tongue in your ear.”
And Monica Enderle Pierce:
Haul’s chuckle was deep and wicked, the glint in his eyes fiery. He captured the back of my neck and pulled my mouth back down to his, thrust his tongue between my lips and tasted me. His other hand found the laces at the back of the heavy silk gown and he yanked them loose, unbothered by the sound of tearing fabric. The ties caught and wouldn’t loosen further. He cursed, grabbed both sides of the gown’s placket, and pulled. His muscles bulged as the stitching resisted for a moment, then it relented to his unwavering force with a protesting tear. He lifted the ruined surcoat over my head and threw it on the floor.
I gasped with relief as the room’s air cooled my skin. That gasp became a moan when Haul’s hands and lips found my breasts.
“Gods and monsters, you’re so beautiful.”
His husky voice sent a thrill through me and I squirmed against him. I couldn’t get enough of his fingers, his tongue, his body. I finished removing his belt and yanked his tunic over his head.
Madrineu, help me, he was a feast. In the days since I’d awakened him, Haul Orm had lost the pale gauntness of his unnatural slumber. I am so excited to finally read this collection of 35 amazing books by some of my favorite authors. I will update my review as I work my way through the stories. First up is:

I received an early copy of Katherine D. Graham's "Splitting Dawn" and was immediately swept into a world both familiar and not. There were characters and cultures known to readers who have read other novellas in the Splitting Worlds series, but shown through the eyes of someone new.
From the very start, Kierra was an interesting introduction. While faced with choices at every turn, she didn't seem to be equipped with all the knowledge required to make a proper decision, and oftentimes had those decisions thrust upon her by outside sources. With her being an unreliable narrator due to her hazy experiences, the reader is thrust upon a journey of piecing together a story and journey that surprises at every turn.

From the very start, Kierra was an interesting introduction. While faced with choices at every turn, she didn't seem to be equipped with all the knowledge required to make a proper decision, and oftentimes had those decisions thrust upon her by outside sources. With her being an unreliable narrator due to her hazy experiences, the reader is thrust upon a journey of piecing together a story and journey that surprises at every turn.

The Little Mermaid meets The Corpse Bride in this stunning fairytale retelling, The Mermaid and the Pearl by Rosalyn Briar.
Set in the same universe as A Sea of Pearls & Leaves (which I highly recommend you read), this LGBTQIA+ story follows Muriel and Yara. Both characters are incredibly compelling and have a lot of depth to them. The world of the circus is quirky and exciting, a fully developed setting that is rich in details and easy to get lost in. Rosalyn Briar’s writing is so poetic and pulls you in from the first page. Absolute must-read!

Eighteen Wishes:
I wasn’t sure about this book at first but it is REALLY GOOD! I loved the ingenious construct of the djinn world and system and the genie construct. I liked the tension added with the draconians and the sorcerers. It made a very complicated story but one that was compelling. I absolutely loved this book!

A fantastic collection of stories that will keep you reading. Strong, intriguing characters make the story a pleasure. I’ve found one that was completely outstanding with amazing characters by Katherine D Graham, Splitting Dawn. Fantasy at its finest. Another great one was Blood Forged Ascension by R A Cooper. SR Breaker’s story, Curse of the Dragon Heir was well written and kept me wanting to learn more about the characters and their lives.I was also in love with Wind Across the Silver Blade by Catharine Glen. CK Soren’s story Eighteen Wishes was just outstanding. Helen Garraway’s story had you wanting more-Soulbreather.

A Mage's Curse by Bethany Adams
Chalmys is so sweet and adorable you just want to wrap your arms around him and keep him safe, even though he is more powerful than we would ever be!!
No-nonsense Holly arrives to sort him out, whilst also managing her ex who is threatening to take custody of the child he never wanted just to be nasty.
Adams brings the adorable awkwardness of Chalmys to the page with ease, and he is a great foil for Holly and her daughter.
Secrets come to light, things are not what they seem, and you are hooked because you want Chalmys to be freed and for them to have an happy ever after.
Beautifully written. Although not action packed, this story is more character driven, this is a fae tale you won't want to put down. A bit of heat towards the end but nothing graphic.
I didn't want this tale to end; I loved the characters so much. There are so many possibilities for a follow on book, so I hope it's being considered! (hint! hint!).
Review for A Shadow of Death by Becky James & Wren Murphy
Neri is a selkie, one who is curious about the human world, and determined to discover what happend to her sister. Her first attempts on land are quite amusing as she swaps her tail for legs, though she stumbles into trouble straight away.
Shay is the broody king constrained to protect his kingdom even though there is little left to protect. He has resigned himself to a life of isolation and sacrifice, trapped in an endless cycle of sustaining the barriers to protect the world, no matter what happens to him.
Stepping in to recue Neri goes against his every instinct, and he knows he is putting his lifelong struggle to protect his world at risk, but Neri is a bright spark of light in his dark world, banishing his gloomy outlook on life and tempting him to consider there might be more to fight for.
A mix of fae, magical creatures and shifters combined with an age old conflict makes a riveting read as Neri and Shay combine forces to find her sister.
I love the mix of welsh and scottish sayings at the beginning of each chapter, it gave the story a fabled feel of magic and mystery. Combined with the beautiful imagery evoked by this story, this is sure to be one fantasy romance you won't want to put down.
Review for Renegade Angel by KC Freeman
I was fortunate to receive an ARC for Renegade Angel which is a spin off story from KC Freeman’s Greylyn the Guardian Angel series, (if you love her series you'll love this!) and focuses on Greylyn’s mentor and protector, Jasper Moreau. Abandoning Greylyn, he rushes to rescue Savannah from an unexplained dark evil that is hovering over the place that she works.
Jasper is deliciously decadent and wonderfully knocked for six when the Savannah he arrives to rescue turns out to be an independent, fiery, young woman with a mind of her own, and no longer the rebellious teenager he once rehomed and then deserted.
Savannah has dreamt of Japser since he last left, and this time she is determined not to let him escape.
A sexy treat with plenty of steam, where all does not go as planned, even if Savannah does manage to get her hands on Jasper. Unfortunately, the gods have different ideas and they are determined to spoil the reunion.
An enjoyable romp to hell and back, with a wonderful twist at the end that neither I nor the characters saw coming!

This book has such a brilliant beginning, and it doesn't stop from then on. Daphne, a human on a mission to save her sister, is determined to capture herself a Fae lord. Hitting him over the head seems an excellent idea. Whatever it takes to save her sister, Daphne will do, even if it takes her life.
Kanek, is an elegant and powerful, but bored Fae lord. When Daphne tries to abduct him, it stirs an interest that has long been ignored. Intrigued, he decides to help this crazy woman, and so begins the quest to save her sister.
At times funny, at times tragic, Daphne's indolmitable spirit shines throughout. Kanek grows more suspicious as time goes on and tries his best to keep Daphne safe, but all is not as is seems and evil stirs in the darkness.
A thoroughly enjoyable romantic fantasy, you'll love Daphne and Kanek, who are both great characters. A bit of steam at the very end, but otherwise a sweet, clean romance.
