Essential reading for anyone that's part of a team." MATTHEW SYED, bestselling author of REBEL IDEAS and YOU ARE AWESOME
I wasn't sure this book was for me. It was, it's excellent. I studied team dynamics in nursing school, I've studied coaching (non sporting). I played hockey at school, really because as girls we couldn't play football or rugby back then. I became obsessed with England women's Hockey team from 2012 on: I loved the play and the messages that were being shared. This book is a masterful meld of all of the above. They use their experiences and values, along with the teams Olympic journey to success to illustrate and explain team building and sustaining. This book could have been a monumental failure because it is so wide reaching, but they manage to use all the elements and bring them together to make a magnificent and accessible whole. Of course given the topic of the book, who they are and what they achieved this is not surprising! It doesn't matter if your team is your work, your family or your football or hockey team there is something here for you. Also worth reading, I think, if you are simply a fan. Enjoy
I have both the book and the audiobook and I'm glad I do as the book was harder to follow with switching between the narratives from Helen and Kate, however, I appreciated having the text for the reflections at the end of each chapter, Id recommended both formats simultaneously! A great read/listen
