As an author, words have always been my escape. In my mind, I’ve lived the many versions of happily ever afters I’ve written for the world to read. I’ve created swoon-worthy men who would do anything for the women they love. The worlds I’ve created have left women wishing the stories I’ve penned were real. Yet my life outside the pages is void of romance and dictated by fear—something I have in abundance while my trust is scarce. I’m terrified of the horrors that could break me and avoid them at all costs. But he found me anyway. I imagine he’s every hero I’ve ever written. I feel him in my bones, and I see him in my dreams. It’s as if I was manifesting him into my life all along. He’s kind, sexy, and smart…and I deserve to be cherished by him. I write about soul-crushing love because nothing in life comes wrapped in a neat little bow. Love is hard, and the journey is often riddled with obstacles that break our hearts. Yet true love is always worth the battle. I just have to find the courage to fight.
***Fated Souls is an inter-connected stand-alone and can be read on its own. ***Intended for Mature Readers due to content.
Ellie Wade resides in southwest Michigan with her husband, three young children, and two dogs. She has a Master’s degree in education from Eastern Michigan University and is a huge University of Michigan sports fan. She loves the beauty of her home state, especially the lakes and the gorgeous autumn weather. When she is not writing, you will find her reading, snuggled up with her kids, or spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and exploring new places with her family.
Overall, The Beautiful Souls Collection has been fairly satisfactory and entertaining to read. Some of the installments better than others, some more angsty than others and this latest installment with Tannon and Jude was more on the lighter side. Tannon is a romance writer and Jude, a police officer. They share a really cute meet/greet. Jude's family is so much fun and the descriptive Mexican food menus kept my stomach growling.
There's plenty of intimate moments with plenty of steamy sizzle. Tannon annoyed me a bit -- she's a self-doubter. Of course, Jude's female patrol partner stirs the pot a bit -- but we all know there must be some drama-rama before we get to any kind of happily-ever-after.
An easy and quick read to begin 2022. Read and eliminated a bunch of my 2021 Kindle Unlimited stack, and now I'm ready to add some psychological thrillers and a few historical war stories to my list. There are a bunch of new releases coming down the pike that I can't wait to get my hands on.
Happy New Year everyone! Wishes and hopes for health, kindness and goodwill with lots of wonderful and exciting new reads in 2022!
I agree on the gorgeous cover. Book 4... better then book 3. But it felt like two different people were writing it. It went from amazing writing to rushed and cheesy, amazing writing to rushed and cheesy. I’m confused on how to feel. The characters are easy to fall in love with but it was missing that something in the stories big moments and twists.
First let me just say how gorgeous this cover is- please pick it up just of the cover alone. Ellie’s books are always so beautiful inside and out, you won’t be disappointed.
Tannon is a romance writer and I so loved that aspect. I’m sure there were a lot of real life snippets built into her character (even more that usual). Her bestie hires Jude to be the cover model for her latest WIP book which is getting an edgier look than that her typical book have in the past. (Side note to add I LOVED that Ellie had her character “write” Fragment and included quotes from IRL book- so cool) Their attraction was instantaneous. There sex scenes we’re very steamy. Just a hint of angst to keep it interesting. There chemistry was amazing. Highly recommended.
Yet another amazing Ellie Wade book! I love this world and don’t want to see it end! This book has all of the elements of a classic Ellie Wade novel - her words are like coming home. I just love them!
Firstly...Ellie Wade is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I read Book 1, then Book 2 of the series and then some how got to this book! I loved the characters - Jude...ooof!!!...It was an effortless read, that grabbed me from the start of the book - and I am loving that attention grabbing trait that Ms Wade's books has for me! I loved the love these characters had for each other! That said...I do feel though, that whilst reading the story, there was potential for slightly more. What the heroine experienced was heartbreaking, and I felt her trauma, her fear and her pain. I just feel that there could have been another dramatic obstacle pursued by the author in the form of Jude's best friend and partner. I felt that the story was somewhat leading us to a dramatic, stalker case rivalry between Tan and Jane....but that's just me! I still maintain though...that thus far - even after Leo and Alma; Alma and Amos - Jude and Tannon are my favourite of the series! But, heck...I still have to go back and read book 3, then 5...and patiently await Book 6! Its a GREAT series...so...READ IT!!!
Ellie has done it again! True to her other books in this series, this book was packed full of emotions and relatable characters. Tannen is a romance writer who is lacking in romance in her real life but not in the stories she creates. With the help of her best friend she is open to possibly rebranding her books to draw in a bigger audience by using a male model on her new book cover. Enter Jude, a beautiful specimen of a man who also happens to be a police officer who teaches the self defense classes at the Lions Den Tannen attends. With past ptsd from events in her youth Tannen is closed off to relationships and not looking for romance despite her friends efforts to hook her up. Jude is looking for a real relationship that he can build a life with. Will these two flawed but perfect for each other characters get out of their heads long enough to explore the possibility of love? If you love a sweet, steamy and angsty love story this one is for you!
Jude and Tannon were both just looking for someone to love. He was over the one night stands and was ready to find his HEA. Tanner had been through some trauma in her life and just when she thinks she has finally kicked it, it is back and sends her running. Jude was the first one to ever make her feel safe but her insecurities still had a hold of her. It didn't help that his partner was forcing herself into their relationship. Jude wasn't realizing that she was into him and didn't try to step in and put her in her place. When he lost Tannon he knew once she worked through her past she would be his again. The one thing that didn't add up for me was I don't think Jane really got over him and for her to do what she did and our of the blue she is fine seems fishy.
Audiobook: Although this book was number four in this series and I haven't read the first three, I was entertained by this story. I liked this story which was based on the trope of souls that were fated to be together; however, there were some rocky times in Jude and Tannen's relationship which made the story more realistic. I appreciated Tannen's career as a romance writer. I admired Jude's career as a police officer. I enjoyed their topsy-turvy romance. There were some descriptive steamy scenes. I thought Savannah Thomas' and Christian Leatherman's dual narrations enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
What a couple! ♥️ Gorgeous policeman Jude is sick of the dating scene and ready to settle down. If only he could find that perfect woman that “gets him” and wants to be his forever person. Tannon, single and just the way she likes it has far too much baggage for a partner to deal with. Or so she thinks. Fate intervenes and these two keep finding themselves in each other’s company. Their attraction to each other is off the charts and eventually they succumb. The passion is definitely there but a few rocky moments and a little bit of jealousy could spell disaster for them. Can Tannon open up and reveal all to Jude? Or will she walk away? Knowing how he feels about her can Jude just let her go if that is what she chooses? An amazing series and another story of Ellie’s that was so emotional and beautifully written with some steamy scenes along the way. I’m really looking forward to the next story. The audiobook narrators Savannah Thomas and Christian Leatherman were fantastic, I loved their voices. They made me feel all the angst and emotion of this wonderful story.
From the moment Tannon met Jude, they had the most unbelievable chemistry. And I absolutely loved that Tannon was a romance author … it gave an entirely different dynamic to the story. Both were family lovers and had strong role models in which to demonstrate what and what are not acceptable characteristics in a marriage. Tannon wrote about giving couples their happily afters so it was high time she got one for herself. Once again, Ellie writes a relatable and believable love story!!! Loved it!!
yet to read book 1 or 2!??!?! Captivated Souls - book 3 (read in the 1st spot) Fated Souls - book 4 (read it in the 3rd spot) Entwined Souls - book 6 (reading in the 2nd spot) i read these all out of order, because they were not available in the order they have be read in. Out of the Beautiful Souls stories this one was all too relatable. Tannon has amazing character growth during this story. I don’t feel the “Jane” situation got enough page time. The book is dual POV but I feel that it focuses more on Tan and building up towards what she needs to grow from in order to find happiness. I love Cassie she is a perfect best friend and reminded me of my childhood friend.
This story was so beautiful. There were so moments of heartbreak, but it was never sad only cathartic. The journey these two go on to become one was seriously fate. It's a story that makes you believe in love and that good things do happen and there's someone out there for everyone. Even when things are rough or bad or you have things you need to deal with, love will find a way to shine through and make everything whole again.
Great read and great ending to the series. Tannon and Jude are living separate lives and they are getting by. But they are missing a stronger connection and love. So when they meet for the first time, the attraction is undeniable! But they both want more. Can they let each other in and have the life they've always dreamed of? A quick and easy read!!
I read this book last year and I still don’t know that I have fully recovered from it. I. Loved. It. This book was a very emotional read. It will pull on your heart strings and tug at your soul. It’s not your typical dramatic love story with the happily ever after ending you expect and I loved that about it. I finished the series and it’s one of my favorites. Read it. You won’t regret it.
Love after trauma. Love that seems to be fated. Romance novel writer who struggles to cope with so much grief, pain, and torture. Only to find a man that can see past it all and love her for who she is broken pieces and all. Such a cute story made me sad at all they pain they endured on their journey but so worth the wait in the end.
Once again Ellie has done it again with her characters. You will meet old friends along the way in search of Tannon’s happily ever after. You should pick this book based on the beautiful color alone. You won’t be disappointed in this one.
I loved everything about this book! The characters, the storyline, the way everything happened was just great. I felt so many emotions because there are parts of Tannon’s story I can relate to. Jude was just such an amazing character too and I fell for him right away.
I have been enjoying this series, but the angst in this book just seemed silly. Everything is perfect , you love me and I love you then bam, I had a nightmare and I can't be with you anymore. The storyline with Jane should have been played out more. That would have been more interesting.

This was a good progression of the series. New characters introduced and new story line. I did think the FMC and her friend were very much the same person, BUT I get it my bestie and I act the same after a bit of time.
Another fantastic read from Elliie, right from the beginning it had me hooked, the story was lovely and endearing, amazing job , highly recommend this book xx
Words cannot express how much I lived for this book. This series as a whole has been something so magical that Wade has given us and I am so in love with it. With Fated Souls we have Tannon who is a romance author. She has a rough past and she channels every bit of angst into her words. Enter Jude, who Tannon’s assistant happens to have hired to be the cover model for her next book. These two sizzle right from the start. It is an insta love type story but not without the raw emotions and pain that the past likes to creep into. There is amazing wit, great banter, lots of twisty moments plus past characters. This made for a beautiful read and I could not get enough!
I love Tannon, I can relate to her easily. A great character spin off stand alone story from the Souls series of Ellie. Easy and enjoyable read with a sweet ending!
