I've read a bunch of William Aicher's books now, and they just keep getting better. He expertly uses Phoenix Bones and his exploits to create a fun, seemingly-light reading experience that actually includes some smart social commentary. I laughed out loud, I nodded in agreement, and I learned some things - and teased my 10yo by reading aloud all the Indiana Jones references. All around, a smart, fun read that I highly recommend. I also can't wait for the next book in the series :) GO READ IT.
This was my first encounter with the brilliantly-named Phoenix Bones, and I love him! Every Bullet is action-packed, funny and tongue-in-cheek, whilst simultaneously clever, thought-provoking and very human. Loved it!
