High schooler Gamou Shouya is a dead man—sort of. The real Gamou Shouya is long gone, but his body lives on, inhabited by the soul of a boy who made a pact with the succubus Armelina. In exchange for his services as her personal hitman, Armelina is helping him hunt down the people who brutally murdered him and his family. The path ahead is dark and deadly, but Shouya’s got nothing left to lose…not even his soul.

Extremely gratuitous violence and sexual content, but there's an actual halfway decent story that kept me engaged enough to finish the first volume.

undecided if i'll keep reading

I didn’t know what to expect going into it after grabbing it on a whim off the shelf, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. Quick and easy read; finished it in under an hour. Trigger warning for some, it does include violence, gore and r*pe, so may not be up everyone’s alley! Although, it does not take up a majority of the storyline so isn’t overdone. I genuinely enjoyed this manga and look forward to reading the next volume.

An interesting take on the demon and reaper theme that does not skimp on violence, gore, disembowelment, grotesque characters and assorted cut off human body parts.
And, surprisingly, it does not turn ecchi or does gratuitous fanservice, despite Armelina's (the succubus) skimpy outfit (in the first volume, at least).

SO much better then I thought it would be. The artist is the same that drew Magical Girl Spec-Op Asuka but has been unleashed; it’s more violent with some nasty artwork and with a succubus that’s as sexy as they come. There’s a horrible back story that gives the story a solid base. I’m looking forward to future volumes.

Despite the premise, I didn’t expect certain scenes to be so gore filled and specifically the r**e scenes. While I’m interested in seeing where things go with the story and with Shouya’s quest for revenge, I’m going to read each volume very cautiously.

I really like this concept and what’s crazy is I’ve had this on my bedside table for like, 2 years I swear and I just finished it. It’s definitely on the darker content side but I feel like the co cousin is gonna be really satisfying.

Confusing beginning but got better a tale of revenge and bad people getting it but trigger warnings there is a graphic rape part and violence( gore throughout ). One scene of child getting hit with hammer but she survives and it’s not a torture scene. No animals hurt on page.

A cool-ish twist on the "deal with the devil" trope. Some of the anatomy is wack, but overall interesting story. I'll keep my eye on this.

TW/CW: SA, kidnapping, torture, murder, blood, gore, etc.

Intriguing concept and story line, character design is beautiful and complex. It's disturbing on occasion and alluring at times. I highly suggest.

I like the idea. It would make a great campaign. The powers are ill-defined at this point but they do have potential.

Was alright, not a deep story at all or deep characters, but I’m sure it’ll get better but I’m gonna hold off from diving into this series further

Blood pumping fun. Lots of brutal action tied into a story that’s still even more brutal/terrifying scenario.

Reminds me of berserk type of violence and demonic themes.

There is nudity, but very tasteful and definitely not the whole reason for series like other series(which I still like personally but this is more “mainstream” nudity?)

Volume 2 has slightly more nudity, but still just as violent and brutal.

Recommend to any fanservice fan, or any fan of berserk or violent type of anime with sad/violent revenge plot.

surprisingly good, for a manga that is heavy on gore/r*pe/violence etc. I’m very invested in where this is going…the action scenes especially got my blood pumping.

the succubus character is quite fun. this is one for the mature readers, but while there is fan service, it’s actually much less than I expected. there’s no scenes between the hitman and succubus. the backstory of the hitman and the guy whose body he now inhabits is pretty emotional too!
