As the daughter of the Omega I had (kinda) accepted my fate as being the weakest member; doomed to an eternity of cleaning everyone else’s toilets and being Hutch’s, the Alphas son, punching bag.
Everything changed on the night of my first shift when my wolf decided to go ahead and find her fated mate in the one person she shouldn’ Hutch.
It comes as no surprise that Hutch doesn’t want me as his mate. In his attempt to reject me and break our bond he leaves me for dead in the middle of the desert. When I'm found by a group of Vampire nomads, I'm fairly certain I’ll be finished off within the night.Except I offer them something they can’t refuse in exchange for helping me take revenge on the bastard who rejected my blood.
How was I to know that the blood of a wolf would start a mating bond? How was I to know that I was going to start a war?
Rejected Mate is the first book in the Shattered Fate series. It is recomended for readers 17+ for the all around lovin' and intense amount of heat that you will find on the pages within. If you love Sam, Hall, Jen L. Grey, Kelly St. Claire, Tara West, K.F. Breene, Jaymin Eve, and Linsey Hall, then this is your next addiction. It's not Fox, it's Foxx. There's too much heat here for just one X
This book was all about how the MC liked to watch guys have sex and was a virgin who wanted to jump every guy. That’s the whole book. There was barely any plot thrown in with a lame ending.
I am all for a good sex book, but that is not what this was advertised to be.
****spoiler**** I thought it was a little much for a virgin to screw four guys with no foreplay. Not into stick it guys. In addition, you have a guardian to protect you and they let you be abused everyday instead of leaving with you for a better life? Yeah. Ok.
The premise is interesting, but the story feels more like a short story or rough draft.
Transitions in the story are very rough and choppy with characters jumping from place to place with no descriptions. Character development is minimal and insta love is the depth of the relationships. On the plus side there were few typos, so yay.
It was a fast and interesting read. I actually liked the protagonist and found the concept interesting. This is a rejected mates story but that takes a huge back seat.
Very quick read. Think I finished it in 2 hours so not a lot of world building but just enough to keep you entertained.
The reason I give it 3/5 is because of the dialogue. I'm totally okay with swear words, but this was just a little overboard. I found myself skipping over all of them (in one paragraph there was 8). That just turned me off. Ness was funny and witty on her own, she didn't need copious amounts of profanity to make her seem tough
I liked this a lot! Beaten and broken, Lizzie is rejected and left for dead by her pack. Three vampire bikers, Reggie, Titus, and Henry, find her and agree to help her. Turns out she is something more than just a wolf and even more shocking, the guys are her mates. This is a great way to begin a series. I appreciated the different twists this story had instead of following the same tired tropes. I am eager for the next installment.
Not what I thought it would be. I disliked everything about this book. From the non-existent plot, to the annoying characters. Especially Lizzie's "I know you continuously abuse me, but I can't help that you turn me on", attitude. As if it couldn't get any worse, it turns into a reverse harem with "mates" she met a day ago. 🙄 Will not be continuing this series.
Good story line although I really hate how Liz was treated . Been reading a lot of shifter books are starting out that way for some reason .Then they find powers ,become Alphas find their mates .But they go thru a lot of abuse first . Its sad . But all in all they prevail.
I really enjoyed reading this book even though the story was really fast paced and not very much detail at all.. I have no idea what Lizzie wolf looks like or really what she looks like.. Or anyone else in the book.. But I am still very much invested in this story because of how good the story line is, so I will keep reading until the very end..
Not sure what I read but the first 5 chapters could have been 1, and I find it odd that for someone that was beaten up regularly and was a slave she gave a lot of sass while talking about how she wanted to stay in the shadows… **** spoiler****** Z Z Z She literally loses her virginity to a consensual gang bang with no foreplay and loves it. Not my idea of a good time, but each to their own.

It didn’t feel like there was much plot but it was entertaining enough for me to read the whole thing, I’ll probably check out the next book too. I feel like the author could expand on the book and easily make it better though.
I loved the story. There were some missing words, but all of that could be fixed with editing. I completely understand that, and it didn’t take away my enjoyment of reading this book. I’m excited for the next one.
I was not a fan of this book. There were some plot gaps, incorrect words used, and odd punctuation or lack of punctuation. I almost didn’t finish it but I figured it was so short that I should read it all the way through.
The principle of this story was interesting but not well done. There were so many errors and confusing parts that it was hard to focus on the actual story. I dont understand the instant chemistry and mating because it wasn't really shown. Where was the growth, trust, or ACTUAL CONVERSATIONS.
I will not be finishing this series. This discombobulated train wreck should not have even been published.
I feel book 1 was rushed, was funny and had a good plot. Just a shame as it had potential, I don’t wanna carry on the next book with that in mind. But please don’t let that put you off, I think everybody should give it a try and have their own opinion.
I did not expect any of what happened in this book. I mean, I know that the synopsis pretty much outlined the plot. But the pudding is all in the details when it comes to this book. Very cool read! I can’t wait to get onto the next instalment.
This book is warp speed fast missing alot of info. Went from servant rejected and almost beaten to death by her mate to mouthy girl mated to 3 vamps who take over pack.
Pretty short book, but nicely paced. Interesting storyline and told from the FMC’s POV. Definitely could have made this series into one book, if it was I would probably buy the paperback version. It doesn’t really get into the characters personalities, which is why I only gave it 4 stars.
I liked the turn of events, starting out as nobody and ending up on top. I would recommend this book to every single one of my friends who love wolves and vampires by the way. The fact that she was hybrid was AMAZING!!! Quite a twist!! This is great!!!
Honestly, it had such potential to be a great read but felt so rushed. There was literally no connection or relationship/personality development between the heroine and the guys.
The story definitely has potential but reads more like a rough draft or an outline then a finished story. Also needs editorial work. Good starting base though.
