By the time Ashton Maximillian walked into her tiny office, he knew everything about the stunning, blue-eyed, Farren Kinsley.

Her favorite book, her favorite meal, even her favorite color. He knew she was desperate to save the animal sanctuary her father had spent his whole life trying to establish. He knew that donations were dwindling. That a conglomerate was after her land and not above using scare tactics to remove her. And that she had a very handsy volunteer who Ashton planned to deal with before he left her office.

He also knew she had a way with wolves... she just didn’t know it yet. And not any wolf but his kind of wolf. Which is exactly why she was going to help him rescue one.

His twin alpha.

I don't really write reviews but when I bought this book all the reviews were so positive that my expectations were very high. I was really disappointed with this book. DNF 70% Super cringy!! I just couldn't take it anymore.

If you're only looking for fast paced, mentions of sex on every page, and two really hot over dominating men - well then this is is it! Read my review no further and get it! Sometimes we just wanna read the hot stuff and who cares about anything else 😅 But even that part disappointed me too so...

Anyway, this is my problem with the book (I'll hide any spoilers!)

- There wasn't much world building. Even 70% in and I still don't know the structure of the pack or what anything means and why/how It was like the author had the answers but got so lost in writing about the attraction between the characters that they forgot to explain anything else. It wasn't even set up like it was supposed to be a twist. It felt like the readers were already supposed to know. Which is funny because...

- Over explaining how "turned on" the characters were but then when it came to the good part, it was over before you know it. Like for all the build up you would think we would deserve to read the good stuff. Also, unrealistic scenes The rest of the scenes were just like a paragraph, no build up, and no real explanation of what was happening but damn if we don't know how turned on they were 🙄

- This is something I usually can ignore but like this was too much - Like the strong come on's aren't what bother me, it just the hypocrisy.

- This isn't a big deal, honestly, but a BILLION DOLLARS?! no sorry, TWO BILLION DOLLARS?! I would get a $500K or even a million but a BILLION?? I just couldn't get past it but maybe that's just me.

I actually loved this paranormal read! I got so drawn into the story from the very first chapter. The story was steamy, very steamy, like all of Chloe Kent's stories that I have read. It dealt with Farren, an owner of an animal sanctuary that was asked to help a very handsome gentleman help find his wolf, then actually taken by him when she told him no. What she didn't know was he was an alpha and was looking for his twin brother, the wolf. After rescuing the wolf, things get really steamy between the three of them, but not everyone in the twin's pack agreen with them being with her. I read this story until the very last page and am looking forward to the next story that deals with Farren's dad. I definitely recommend this book. I received a review copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

I have only read one book by Chloe Kent before (A Baby for the Lumberjacks, which I enjoyed the premise and characters), so I was excited to read Destined.

I’m a fan of shifter romances in general, but I wanted to see where this author was going to go. The plot finds Ashton Maximillian, a rich, masculine, gorgeous blonde giving off MAJOR dom vibes, requiring help from Dr. Farren Kinsley, a vet running a struggling animal sanctuary in Lemonville Springs that’s been in her family for generations, to find his twin brother, Duncan, who has been captured and drugged to make feral. There is an instant attraction/connection between them, and they go to save Duncan.

The characters are likable. The twin alphas, Ashton and Duncan, are sexy, masculine, and everything I would have hoped they would be. I liked how the readers go through the gamut of Farren’s emotions with her – from anger, confusion, embarrassment, etc.

I enjoyed the many conflicts and betrayals. They made the storyline more exciting, and, if anything, I wanted to know more about them. I loved learning more about Farren’s family, which quickly became my favorite parts of the book. And I really liked Kent’s take on the shifter/paranormal world overall. The peek into Book 2 at the end was also really nice and piqued my interest in that book as well.

As is with the other book I’ve read of Kent’s, the sex scenes are detailed, erotic, and beyond spicy; however, I will add at this point that much of the sex is written as assumed/non-stated consensual. As a reader, I wondered a couple times if the reason that Farren consented was due to her situation, not because of a true connection between the character. And lastly, was one scene in particular that I found to be too rough, and it made me feel uncomfortable reading.

My only other criticisms are writing related. I found a handful of grammatical errors (some of which made the sentences confusing and required rereading). I also typically don’t have issues with use of the dinkus, but the one used in Chapter 5 was so jarring that I had to reread it multiple times.

All in all, I think this is a really interesting take on paranormal romance, and I’m interested to see where Farren’s story goes from here.

I received an ARC from the author; however, all opinions in this review are my own.

This is a paranormal romance story about a virgin who meets an alpha male wolf shifter and he buys her help in rescuing his twin brother from the evil vampires who have imprisoned him and are poisoning and torturing him. The twin alphas then realize that the virgin is their mate and then will have her no matter what it takes. There are steamy sex scenes in this story and some of the content is rough but it is all consensual. There is a happy for now ending to the story and a brief glimpse into what book 2 in this series will hold.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Dr. Farren Kinsley, a veterinarian running her father's animal shelter gets an unexpected visitor who takes over her rescue/practice for a million dollars if she will help him save a wolf of his that needs special care. The wolf in need of rescue is really a wolf shifter Duncan and twin brother to Ashton. Duncan was abducted, experimented on and had a dangerous chip inserted in him that would kill him if he was tranquilized to remove the chip. It's a dangerous undertaking but Ashton gave it serious thought and all he needed to make it work was Farren, who had a special way with wolves, thanks to her now, deceased dad. There are mysterious happenings, danger and attraction with Ashton, Duncan and Farren and an irresistable pull for all three of them. The sex is hot and for me a touch unusual, but it sure was sensual and er@tic. After all the angst, we do get a HEA that I for one, appreciate.

Destined, a shifter reverse harem romance by Chloe Kent, was an exciting and incredibly hot story! Dr. Farren Kinsley is a veterinarian at her animal sanctuary created by her scientist father. Farren always had a way with animals, especially wolves, and it was that talent which brought Ashton Maximillian into her life. Willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for her services to help rescue Duncan, his Alpha twin wolf brother, and restore his rightful place in their pack. Farren reacts to the two Alphas, and they are equally reacting and attracted to her! I loved the storyline, the characters and the passion that flares between them all! I can’t wait for the second book of A Way With Wolves series, to see what really happened to Farren’s father, and why he abandoned her after doing his own experiments on her!

This is the first paranormal story that I've read from this author and it was surprising it a few ways. I liked the premise of the story. There are more than a few shifter stories out there so finding a point of difference can be difficult. I liked the back story with Farren's family, especially her father. I liked the initial interaction and chemistry between her and Ashton and then the introduction of Duncan. However, I felt that once it got into sexy times it was all action and no depth (no pun intended). It ended up feeling quite mechanical and while undeniably erotic, it had lost that lovely emotional heat that it had earlier. I'm also unsure about the non-shifter paranormal aspect since this is not something that I normally go for. That said, I enjoyed it enough to want to read the next in the series when it becomes available.

Farren Kinsley runs the animal sanctuary she inherited from her father, and is deep in debt. When the most beautiful man she has ever seen walks in, she is sure he is from the conglomerate trying to buy her land to build a resort on. He, however, needs her help, and is willing to pay her for it. Only she can help him to rescue his wolf, and thereby their pack.
I couldn't put this one down! Ashton and Duncan rescue Farren as much as she rescues them. Ms. Kent has written a story with a very strong heroine, and very Alpha Heroes. Their chemistry is fire, and their world is amazing. This book is definitely worth the one click.

Farren Kinsley inherited a Animal sanctuary. Which also came with a lot of problems. Running out of money. Not enough volunteers to help run it. A corporation trying to bullying her into selling. She is starting to become desperate. Then Ashton shows up asking her to help find his wolf. Making her an offer she cant refuse. She is also fighting a physical attraction to him she doesn't understand.
Strange things start happening. As soon as she leaves to go find the wolf.
This was my first book by Chloe. I think the whole story line was good. It just felt a little rushed for me. Lots of Steam. I will definitely be reading the second book, Fated: A way with wolves. When it comes out.

Destined by design

This has to be one of my favorite books by this author! I love that she has paired her magical RH romances with the paranormal, making a PNR that I couldn’t put down. The story is amazing, and brings in elements that are new and refreshing, and leaves us with a hint of more to come. I absolutely love the characters! The three of them had such an amazing connection right from the very beginning that by the time they reached their HEA I was completely invested in their joining. Of course, what is a good PNR without some kind of conflict! The author did not disappoint with this book and I can only hope that there are many more PNR RH to come.

I absolutely love shifter books , but now I have to say this is by far one of my favorites. Wow the suspense, the passion and heat, the smoking hot scenes... this was a fantastic read, and I can not wait till the next book in this series.
The emotions and pain Farren feels, not knowing where she belongs, but in love with both these twin alphas. She is experiencing things that dont make scenes to her and does not understand what is going on. But she can not deny the feelings these two bring out of her.
Ashton and Duncan are twin and share everything. Once both get their hands on Farren they know they will make her theirs.

Omega to the rescue

This story is the start a series where human woman become omegas for werewolves. This one is Farren’s story, where she helps rescue on of the twin alphas and becomes the mate to both. I felt like more and subtler character development could have benefited this story, internal monologues were both a little repetitive and lacking in efficacy. Plus character develop of the two alphas felt inadequate. Some of the intimate moments felt distasteful and unpleasant. The series idea has merit, but lacks in execution.

Absolutely loved this

What a hot sexy and exciting read this book is. Chloe certainly has started her new series off with a huge bang. I love the fact that she has gone into the paranormal and wolf shifers to boot.
Farren was a very good vet, she had the ability to calm wolves. Then Ashton appeared offering her money to help save a wolf. And as she did her body seemed to go into meltdown she was wet, felt strange. But thats not all she wants them needs them. And only the twin alphas will do.

This was sooo good that im looking forward to the next book coming out. Five stars

A very disappointing omegaverse romance.

This novel had all the hooks that should have made me love it. Omegaverse! BDSM! Kidnapping! A hint of dub-con! The problem was the ATROCIOUS writing. These characters all had very thin characterization, and behaved in ways no real person would ever behave. The sentence structure was cringe-worthy, and the plentiful typos did not help one bit. The plot was disjointed and odd, and the punishment scenes somehow managed to be the opposite of fun. I normally LOVE punishment scenes!! It boggled the mind. Such a shame.

Ashton needs Farren's help in rescuing his wolf shifter twin brother Duncan. They are both mates to Farren but that's impossible because she's human, or is she? Her father experimented on her and now she is mates to twin alpha shifters. There are some who won't accept their pairing. Lots of spicy times in this book and it's a bit different take on the shifter trope and fated mates trope. It has a HFN ending as this is trilogy, though the second book is about a different couple. Enjoyed but forgotten the next day lol.

A steamy, shortish book with an uncomplicated storyline and lots of the sexy stuff. One scene might be a little too close to dubcon for some, so please bear this in mind. The twins are exactly what you'd want in sexy shifters and there are enough declarations of love to win over those of us with romantic inclinations. An erotic escape for the brain.

I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

The story had a nice premise and if you love the insta-love/fated mates troupe the book started out great! The author brought out some super nice plot twists and character obstacles that ended up swallowed up by unrealistic sexual encounters. If you have a thing for DP kink it's worth a read but I would have liked some of the plot threads to have been explored a little more. It's a series and if the ending hadn't made me not want to continue I would have liked to see how they were resolved.

While I have read other books by this author, I must say, this one was a lot easier to read and like. The plot was a little different than most shifter stories, but just as exciting. It was nice to see a different take on this type of story. While it may be a shortish book, it was filled with a lot of content and excitement.

An entertaining start to a new series. This story was just what I needed, good escapist fun. Ashton, Farren and Duncan are interesting characters individually, but even better together. I look forward to what comes next in the series. I read a complimentary copy of this story.

I'm a big lover of sex right from the jump and this had it! I really liked the plot, but there were a few things that kind of went too fast and left me wondering what just happened. Off to read book 2 :)

An alright shifter short read. I'm not a fan of the omegaverse, and this seems to be it with the whole submission thing. Also it's a little fast-paced, which I knew going in since it's around 150 pages.
