I enjoyed this book but I NEED the next book. This book continues on from the last book, The Capricorn deception, which I compared the main character to Jack Reacher but with this book I think we have changed to Ethan Hunt from the mission impossible films, as Mitch is asked to go up against his deadliest foe yet. I wish the book had been longer and then we might not have been left on such a deadly cliff hanger. All of the stories in this series are fairly short so I would recommend that you start with book one and make your way through the series like one big book, especially as they continue on from the last. Even so the story is action packed and I wouldn't want to miss it. The reason I like the series is because of the main character, okay he might be a killer but you wouldn't want anybody else on your side and that makes for an action packed thrilling ride.
Having escaped Fiji with a stowaway on board, Mitch plans to return is scuppered when pirates target his yacht. With the sinking of his boat he finds he is treading deep water when his rescuers recognise him.Rather than turn him over to the authorities the captain asks him to take care of the pirate problem, giving Mitch the chance to exact his own type of revenge. The problem is the pirates are well funded and backed up by powerful people that have there own agenda. Can Mitch go up against his deadliest foe yet and come out alive?
Once again the narrator was a good choice and he puts in an excellent performance.

The Azure Backlash. Steve P. Vincent

Mitch Herron is an elite operator, in a class of his own. Out of the game now after completing an operation in Fiji. He's on the FBI and CIA'S wanted list. He now considers himself retired. He discovers a female stow away on his yacht. They know each other and it's not a major problem. Near the Philippines they are attacked by pirates but they both manage to escape. In the water he activates a rescue beacon and an Navy helicopter helicopter rescues them both. What now unfolds is an extremely fast paced action riddled adventure.Mind boggling. Typical Steve P. Vincent. And..... to top it off a cliff hanger ending!!! Enjoyed immensely!!! My highest recommendation!!
