She was darn and determined to stick to her guns and she wouldn't be swayed or lured away from her final plans.
While Damon most definitely had no interest in more meaningful attachments they could be detrimental to one's health.
Now hold onto your bloomers because these two strong-willed characters are on a collision course that leave you wanting more.

Well he definitely did lol. I love this trope of one falling in love with said species their suppose too despise. Damon is ironically a dragon shifter who is against mating due to them (human) dying which would bring him sadness causing the mate (who loses their love) to lose it. However with Ava being a witch, he tries to convince her that he will never hurt her. This book was a quick and fast read full of steam and spice ;)
