it took me a little bit to get into it but dear lord once i did it was so good!!

Loved the world building and character development. My only issue is that it took far to long and then I didnt want it to end... and now I have to wait for the next book. Nyx had the greatest road in this novel to overcome her past and forge ahead into her future.
I loved all the animals and how diverse their personalities seemed. They arent just dumb animals of the wild hunt. They think and feel and have memories and feelings that are as good as or greater than our own.
The human characters though more complex with their story lines have fallen along the age old sides of good and evil; with the evil being especially bad and cruel.

Not sure…
The first chapter was very interesting and arrested my attention, but the second undid it. It appears that the first few, five to be precise, chapters would be about introduction of the story’s main characters, and judging from the first two of this sneak peek, each chapter’s storyline is independent from each other, namely ends abruptly and unrelated.

I downloaded the free sneak peek after listening and reviewing the audiobook. I enjoyed it though really wish I had the full text to do a combined read/listen. I love audiobooks but complex stories with large casts work better for me in dual format.
It’s definitely a book that I will buy when the price comes down.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!!
It’s a mix of sci-if, thriller, fantasy, dystopian story and James Rollins is an amazing writer and has me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one !!! February cannot come fast enough!!!

Unsure at this point.
This story has not 'grabbed' me as most of James Rollins' books usually do. Still, I ordered the book hoping it will be as engrossing as his others.
