With their debts catching up to them and no good prospects, they set out across the territory to earn a wage.
The pay ain't good, but something's better than nothing.
When they find work as lawmen in a boomtown in the Devil's Mountains, the unlikely partners realize they've pinned on badges in a town terrorized by a mining outfit run by ruffians with a grudge.

If you love a Western where you can smell the gunsmoke and leather, then cinch up your saddle and grab a box of cartridges, because a couple of Hard Bit Men are riding deep into the Sierra Diablo to tame a town.
Bounty's are so scarce these days, Heck and Early are 3 months late on their rent. Being lawmen was about the last thing on their list of jobs to apply for, but whatever it takes. Lots of action. Love this series
An enjoyable story with and interesting plot. The plot had several twists to the plot and an enteresting wrap up. The ending draws you to the next book in the series. Another well crafted Peecher stort.
I can recommend this book for I’ve enjoyed it. What a adventure Heck and Early go through just for a couple of bucks to pay past due rent. These two men are fearless and a little crazy
