Paige Tyler is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of sexy, romantic suspense and paranormal romance. She and her very own military hero (also known as her husband) live on the beautiful Florida coast with their adorable fur baby (also known as their dog). Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kick-butt heroines who fall in love with them.
True Wolf by Paige Tyler is riveting, suspenseful, and heart-pounding. It combines supernatural suspense, paranormal romance, and action-adventure in a thrilling novel that is the third book in the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team series. It takes the reader on an international journey from Turkey to Croatia to Russia to Ukraine and then for a showdown in New York City. The reader is immediately plunged into the action and drawn into the story.
In this series, supernatural beings are known to a few, but not all humans. As with humans, some supernatural beings are criminals and the United States has put together a team of supernatural beings and humans to deal with these criminals domestically as well as internationally. Caleb Lynch is a werewolf and a member of STAT. His team is sent to Turkey where they’re led to vaults that have been broken into and terrorists have stolen dangerous weapons. Brielle Fontaine has a possible lead on the weapons and her missing brother and joins the STAT team as they travel the globe in search of both.
Both main characters have their flaws that made them seem more real. As an omega werewolf, Caleb can lose control and has to be slapped back to reality, but he can certainly fight. (Omegas are the result of going into a traumatic event with bad intentions and the werewolf gene gets tripped.) Brielle has always taken care of her younger brother and sacrificed other relationships for getting him out of continuous trouble. Add to that both are afraid of not being accepted by others as well as not accepting themselves for what they are. I felt like the characters were emotionally rich with an undercurrent of self-growth amidst the action, suspense, and developing romance.
Tyler does a great job of world-building. I was able to easily visualize the settings, especially the tunnels. There are several twists to the story as it deals with important themes of terrorism, trust, wanting a better world and what you’re willing to do to make it so. Family, concern for others, social awkwardness, friends, and romance also play into the tale. The opening is strong and intriguing and the connection between Caleb and Brielle is deftly handled. There are a couple of steamy scenes later in the book.
This story was a mix of investigation, planning, romance, and action that kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. I was kept fully invested in the mission becoming a success. My one quibble is that I did not believe the head criminal would do what he did in the final showdown.
Overall, this book was fast-paced, action-oriented, and entertaining. If you enjoy action thrillers with some romance that have both strong male and female characters set in a world where supernatural beings exist, then this may be the series for you. Since there are several recurring characters in the book, it helps to read the series in order. That way, a reader is not learning all of the secondary characters at once, but gradually over time. I can’t wait to find out what is next for the STAT team.

True Wolf by Paige Tyler Book 3 in the STAT (Special Threat Assessment Team) series. Paranormal shifter romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. A hidden international unit of paranormals protecting the world from crazy threats. Caleb is a member of STAT but as an omega wolf shifter has held himself apart from the camaraderie of the team. When twenty nuclear weapons are stolen, Brielle is back to help the team and search for her brother. Caleb felt a connection to Brielle the last time they worked together but she disappeared immediately after the mission. This time, Brielle takes the initiative in getting closer to Caleb.
Fast action, tunneling human eating ghouls, and tense situations caused by a nuclear wielding wacko. Faster connections and steamy interludes between Caleb and Brielle. A bit of humor and a goal of saving the world. A typical STAT adventure. 😂🤣. I’d say I enjoyed the last third of the book the best. The speed and humor picked up as they had the target in sight. The first half of the book, the team didn’t really know who they were after. 4.5
I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to keep.
Paige Tyler returns to the STAT team with an impression story for Caleb and Brielle. This series is rife with the same thrilling action and details as the SWAT series, so I think fans will be happy with the latest installment, TRUE WOLF.
Tyler infuses this book with a lot of details, making me think that a lot of research was done for this book. I was impressed by the way she was able to integrate those details into the story so that they enriched it but it didn’t bog down the content or affect the pacing. Everything moves at a smooth and fast pace, which made this book a very easy one to devour.
I would definitely recommend this book to readers who enjoy a hybrid of Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense. TRUE WOLF breathes life back into the alpha werewolf genre that I adore!
I enjoyed the pacing, the action, interesting new creatures and abilities, and it’s always great seeing the team work together.
Omega werewolf Caleb is putting his considerable skills to use to track down a bunch of stolen nuclear weapons with his fellow STAT team members. Brielle is on the same trail, but she is doing it to save her brother from yet another dangerous situation. She joins forces with the STAT team and they quickly discover she has some amazing, mysterious abilities that could definitely work to their advantage.
This is book three in the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team Series. Caleb, as an Omega, doesn’t have the same control over his wolf as the Alphas do. And when he loses control, the wolf takes over completely. It makes him an excellent soldier, but also a bit unpredictable and dangerous. Brielle is the only one who could safely reach him once he has gone completely wolf and bring him back to himself.
Caleb was interesting because he was so different from the Alpha werewolves. Brielle had an awesome, but scary ability. It gave her a huge advantage and a huge disadvantage, at the same time. She used it very effectively, though.
True Wolf delivered the same nail-biting action as the other books in the series. The plot flowed well and at just the right pace. I do have some questions about the strange creatures they encounter throughout the book, and I hope those will be answered in the future. The only thing I didn’t like as much were the lukewarm interactions between Brielle and her brother.
I can recommend this series and its related series, SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team, if you like werewolves, action, and romance.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the chance to read an advanced copy of True wolf by Paige Tyler. I was looking for something light, and fun, and found it in Paige's 3rd book in her STAT series (offshoot of her werewolf SWAT series which I love!) She is definitely opening her world up to other supernaturals and we get a closer look at several new cast members in True wolf including Brielle Fontaine. I love the chemistry she has with omega werewolf Caleb as they find time for romance while saving the world!
I'm really enjoying Paige Tyler's STAT series which is an offshoot of her SWAT series. I liked the character Caleb, in the previous books, and knew he would have a rich backstory. The author always dives deep into her characters and it's one reason her books are so good. For example, I thought Brielle was a bad guy in her last book but it turns out she is a tragic heroine perfect for Caleb.
Review: TRUE WOLF (STAT Book 3) by Paige Tyler https://bit.ly/3Oa1ibB Publication Date: 10/04/2022 Genre: Paranormal Romantic Suspense Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated 4.5 STARS Kindle https://amzn.to/3OaaCMj
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced addition to the STAT series. Right off I was pulled into the mystery and danger the team had to defuse. The introduction of unknown supernaturals made their mission more difficult, while giving the reader a good time.
I was looking forward to seeing how the author would go about finding Caleb’s mate, hoping it was a good match because he deserved it. Brielle is that woman. Yes, I thought there was more to her than being one of the bad guys in book two but was pleased to learn more about her. She is strong and intelligent, yet not cocky. A perfect combination to make me like her and become invested in their relationship. I liked watching them interact and the sweet way they grew together.
As always, I’m a sucker for books that involve a group…when it is done well. STAT is one of the good ones. The pack dynamic is full of banter and the caring only a close-knit group has. The kind that makes me wish I were a part of it all. I enjoyed the storyline, the globetrotting and battles kept me glued to the pages wondering what would happen next. However, there were a few instances that pulled me out of the book because the situation was so improbable due to the location and proximity of humans. I quickly recovered to read on and follow this romantic and sexy wild ride. I can’t wait to see who is up next, and what evil they will face.

Brielle is asked to work with a special team to locate missing nuclear missiles. Caleb is instantly drawn to her but fights acknowledging she is his true mate. Brielle has spent her life raising her brother and getting him out of trouble. She is a strong and intelligent character. There's a lot of intrigue and suspense in this book but there is also passion and friendship.
This is one of Paige Tyler's best action stories. No one writes paranormal action special ops romance like Paige. This one was full of new supernatural creatures to defeat, theft of nuclear bombs and sizzling romance. Caleb Lynch, omega werewolf and Brielle Fontaine, unknown supernatural, have so much chemistry they throw sparks! I loved every minute of the intense action.
Caleb Lynch is an omega werewolf with STAT who pretty much goes berserker when he unleashes his powers. Sometimes it's needed with their STAT investigations what get intense with unknown supernatural creatures that are hard to kill. This time Brielle Fontaine is brought back into the investigation, as her brother Julian is in trouble once again and in the middle of their op. Someone, with the help of previously unknown supers (diggers-ghouls, have stolen 20 nuclear B61 bombs from their storage facility. The ghouls dug tunnels through the rock and they've disappeared. These creatures seem to feed on the humans trying to recover the bombs. Brielle's brother Julian called her and gave her a clue where the bombs might be, and she approaches McKay, head of STAT.
Brielle Fontaine borrows other supernatural's powers for a short time. This enables her to get her brother out of his situations. She joins the STAT team once again to help them recover the bombs and find Julian. There's been chemistry between her and Caleb in the last book. It grows even bigger in this one. Caleb doesn't think Omegas can have The One but finally realizes yes, Brielle is IT for him. Their search for the bombs leads them from Incirlik, to Zagreb, to Surinda Russia, to Odessa to Moscow to finally New York City, Caleb and Brielle explore their attraction to it's fullest on this op. There are quite a few twists and turns with surprises along the way to keep the reader turning pages.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This one was just ok for me. Not sure why I didn't like it more, I like the idea of the STAT team, like the missions they go on are weird in a supernatural way. Caleb and Brielle were good together, they took the time to talk and get to know each other. The team beat the bad guy in the end. Just how things are supposed to go, like I said this one was ok.
dang i did NOT see that coming. This was a great story and a wonderful addition to the series. So great that Caleb finally found a balancing influence and the love of a good woman. Lot of laughter and sweetness to go with the action, danger and passion.
I loved every single bit of this book. Reading a Paige Tyler book is sitting back on the sofa with a cup of coffee and letting yourself get swept away in the world of supernaturals. I really like everything werewolf and their instant attraction to someone and I devoured this one in one sitting.
Caleb is an omega wolf, part of the STAT team. He's a loner, has control and anger issues and knows that will hinder him in finding someone to share his life with. He couldn't be more wrong.
Brielle, whom we met in the previous book working for the bad guy, has also got powers, but up till now she had to use them to keep rescuing her brother Julien who always manages to get himself into trouble. At the end of the previous book she was able to get to go free after helping the STAT team.
When Caleb and Brielle meet up again it is because of Julien dissapearing again. His dissapearand seems to connect with the new case Caleb and his team are called on. Someone has stolen 20 nuclear bombs and they are summoned to find them and prevent a world war. For one or other reason Julien is right in the middle of this.
They team up and what we get is a fast paced story with lots of twists and turns, all new supernatural beings and a midst all of that a wonderfull love story between Caleb and Brielle. Both of them thought that were going to be alone for the rest of their lifes but it turns out they're each others soul mates.
I loved every single bit of this book and I'm soo looking forward to another one in the series.
Highly recommended.
I received this ARC by the author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Omega werewolf Caleb Lynch and the rest of his STAT team are on the hunt for stolen nuclear weapons, and whoever stole them. They are going to have to work with an outsider who has mysterious powers.
Brielle Fontaine is searching for her troublesome brother who has a tendency to get into serious trouble. This time she will need help and the price of that is working with others. She has always tried to hide the truth behind her powers.
This is an action packed, sexy, paranormal romantic suspense. The danger is almost non-stop. You will meet some very different supernaturals among the good and the bad guys. All the characters are exciting, our hero in particular. He is very unpredictable.
At first True Wolf was hard for me to get into, I struggled the first few chapters but the story of Caleb and Brielles started to intrigue me. Two people we were introduced to in prior stories that could easily be considered bad guys but in reality their was so much more about their back story. I’m thrilled I kept reading because I really enjoyed this story and happy that Brielle and Caleb received their own story because they were great to read about and they deserve a happy ending.
This is a great read. The "abilities" involved are often astounding. Brielle has one I would love to have! The flesh eating tunneling critters are the thing of nightmares. Fast.paced,.full of suspense and heat it was a hard to put down book. I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and freely leave this honest review.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks/Casablanca for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This book is part of a series, I have not read them all. It reads I think okay as a stand alone. It might be overwhelming as alot of people are introduced at once. Overall for me, this was a fun, action packed adventure with romance to boot. Caleb is an Omega werewolf and Brielle is a unique supernatural, they have good chemistry. Brielle's brother Julian is always getting in trouble and she bails him out. I think she should cut those strings and let him grow up. A book you won't want to put down. 4 stars
True Wolf: Sexy, Action-packed Paranormal Romantic Suspense (STAT Book 3) by Paige Tyler Werewolf agent Caleb Lynch and Brielle Fontaine with her supernatural abilities are the main couple in this story. There are plenty of old friends and some new ones to make this story a page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. There is plenty of violence, danger, angst, laughter, tears and some steam to get us to a HEA, and leave us wanting the next book in the series. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Wonderful characters Great word building Action-packed Funny Scary Happily Ever After Unpredictable Tear-jerker Page-turner Easy-to-read Entertaining Romantic Steamy
I do sometimes think that the further I delve into Paige Tyler's Werewolf/STAT universe, the more confused I get with her ever-expanding cast of supernaturals that go beyond the werewolves. But it is this very element of her series that is now propelling the plot and its momentum forward, even as the core romance and pairing principle stays the same.
Each book breaks down Tyler's supernatural verse into facets that I loved learning about and 'True Wolf', in similar fashion, has a lot of things going on as Tyler reaches further into the James Bondesque-type save-the-world-type plots where only a select few work to prevent a disaster with everyone being none the wiser. It's a fine line to tread, really, keeping the readers's suspension of disbelief up while making it plausibly believable as each werewolf falls inexplicably hard for his one true soulmate (a.k.a. instalove, werewolf-style).
Caleb/Brielle wasn't a pairing I particularly liked or disliked and my neutrality perhaps, went a ways in leading me to put the book down and take it up many times over the past month--the busy holiday period notwithstanding. Yet these books are very much team-based as well, and the sheer number of characters coming through felt very much like a distraction at best and my inability to keep up with the whole crew--despite having read their books in the past few years--did make it less enjoyable than I thought it would be.
In all, it felt like a mixed bag here: 'True Wolf's pacing was good, but a more focused (and slightly more pared-down?) story would have perhaps smoothened the whole read.
True Wolf by Paige Tyler is the 3rd book in her wonderful STAT series. The STAT (Special Threat Assessment Team) team is assigned unsolvable cases, which includes supernatural beings & creatures.
Caleb Lynch, our hero in this book, is a member of that STAT team, and an Omega Werewolf; he at times loses control when threatened by the bad guys, as he is also a Berserker. When 7 nuclear weapons are stolen, the entire team comes together to track the thieves and recover the dangerous weapons.
Brielle Fontaine, our heroine, has a unique supernatural ability, she can touch someone and get their abilities for a short period of time. Brielle is looking for her missing brother, when the STAT boss (McKay) offers her a deal for to join the team in helping find the nuclear weapons, allowing her to look for her brother, she agrees to work with the team.
Caleb is immediately attracted to Brielle, but at first, he doesn’t trust her. In a short time, the entire team begins to accept Brielle, as she worked so well with them, and became friendly. The relationship between Caleb and Brielle heats up fast, as he suspects she is the ONE for him; the chemistry between them was awesome.
What follows is an action packed, non-stop, exciting and fun thriller, with me unable to put the book down. There were so many dire situations that had the team in danger, with their lives hanging by a thread. When the team thinks they have found the nuclear weapons, they are attacked by other supernatural beings, as well as creatures that kill with claws. With one of the weapons ready to explode and destroy everything in the tunnels and the entire town, it is Brielle who uses her ability to save Misty, and race to make it far enough to survive. This was only the start, as they begin to learn who is behind the nuclear weapons and planning to destroy the world. This was from start to finish and edge of your seat thriller every step of the way. What I loved about this series is that besides a new couple per book, the entire team always play recurring roles. It was great to see Jake, Jen, Misty, Forest, Harley, Sawyer and McKay.
True Wolf was an exciting, action packed non-stop dangerous adventure, with great secondary characters, and a great couple. The villains were evil, violent and fully dangerous, with amazing supernatural abilities that were difficult for the team to fight against. So many times, I held my breath to see who would survive. Once again Paige Tyler gives us another fantastic story, which I cannot wait to see what she has in store of us next. I wholly suggest you read this series.
This is book 3 in the STAT series and it can absolutely be read as a stand alone but I do recommend reading the previous books as these characters are introduced in those books. In this one we get werewolf Caleb and Brielle's story. Caleb and his team are sent to an Air Force base to try to see who has stolen nuclear weapons. When they encounter paranormal's during their investigation, their boss brings in Brielle to help them find the weapons-but a price. Brielle has supernatural abilities that have put her in the group's cross hairs before, even though she didn't have a choice. And now she will help them-if they will help her. She needs them to help her find her brother, before it's too late for him. But she soon realizes that he may be involved in the theft to begin with. But the attraction between her and Caleb make her realize that maybe there is something more for her than keeping her brother from harm. And that they may serve a bigger purpose than what either of them thought they did.
I really liked this story. Caleb has issues not only with his past but with his werewolf. I loved how he knew that his wolf had control issues but that he fought himself to be better than that. He has such strength of character that I didn't really expect. There was more to him than I was expecting and I definitely loved his explanation for how his type of werewolf comes about. Brielle-this woman broke my heart with the things she was willing to do for those she cares about. The fact that she gave up everything for her brother, even knowing what the cost was to herself? That made me love her that much more. And then you throw in their chemistry and the way they both struggle to figure out their relationship and I was hooked. My only drawback with this whole book? Some of the introduced characters and how they were dealt with. I know some of it was addressed but there were still others that weren't. And I kinda want to know about the main bodyguard that they fought-was he truly a bad guy? Does he get a redemption or what happened to him? Or did I miss something there?
True Wolf takes us back to the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team series for the third time in a story that is filled with intrigue, tensions, danger, and the very real fact that not everything, nor everyone, is exactly what they seem on the surface. While each story is complete in itself, I will always recommend reading this series from the start if at all possible. You never know who you’ll run into again or which secondary character will take on a larger role.
Caleb and his STAT team are assigned the task of tracking down stolen nuclear weapons and those that are behind this brazen threat. He wasn’t expecting to work with Brielle again and certainly was a bit blindsided as her true meaning in his life became more apparent. A werewolf, even an omega werewolf, doesn’t turn away from his One, but he can certainly fight it until he understands exactly what his mate is up to behind those fiery eyes. While much is unknown about Brielle or her paranormal abilities, it is known that she’s always pulling her brother out of some trouble that he’s gotten himself into… and this time may be the worst one of all.
I enjoyed stepping back into this world with True Wolf. The action is fast-paced, the intrigue is spellbinding, and the relationships between the STAT members or between Caleb and Brielle are fascinating to watch in action. With some twists and turns, some chilling tunnel activity, and some really evil villains, this story kept me engaged, tense and loving every moment in their world. If you love a well-written, addictive Paranormal Romantic Suspense filled with interesting situations and people who will surprise you often, then you need to pick up True Wolf or start this series right now.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Caleb Lynch is an Omega Werewolf; he is part of the Special Threat Assessment Team (STAT) and is the lead for this mission. Someone stole 20 nuclear warheads from an Air Force base, and they are obviously planning something big. STAT needs to find the warheads and head off whatever is being planned, but they have very few clues to work with. They race around the world following said clues, and they discover bits and pieces of the plan, but they can’t get a fix on the entirety of the threat. If they don’t figure it out soon, WWIII might be starting… Along the way, Brielle Fontaine is recruited to help them, since a cryptic phone call from her brother has given them the majority of their knowledge, and she has certain paranormal skills that may help.
Caleb has trouble containing his temper when he lets his inner wolf out. His teammates understand and accept this about him, and are able to bring him back from the edge, when he is too far gone. Luckily, Brielle can do so as well, and quite a bit more easily than the rest of his team can. He knows she is ‘the one’ for him, but he’s been ‘programmed’ to be a loner, and doesn’t feel worthy of Brielle. He doesn’t believe that she could possibly accept him as he is. So readers are treated to his internal struggles to let Brielle into his world, juxtaposed with the external struggles of a potential nuclear war.
Ms. Tyler keeps the action flowing through world travel (definitely NOT a vacation!), a variety of paranormal encounters with strange characters, tense engagements where danger abounds, and feats of unexpected bravery and self-sacrifice. The pacing is tight, and the dialogue is snappy. This team feels like the best kind of family—only on steroids with their amazing abilities! The STAT family also grows a bit in this installment. The ending is explosive, and one that most readers won’t see coming!
True Wolf is book 3 in the STAT series and while Caleb & Brielle actually had their "1st meet & sparks" in book 2, this book could still work well as a stand-a-lone or jump-in-to-test-the-waters book. The STAT books have high international intrigue and action. think James Bond or Mission Impossible only with paranormal abilities. that said, there is plenty of action from cover to cover, but the author mixes in a nice bit of romance, humor and even some sweet to balance things out and help the pages turn. Caleb, as an omega werewolf, has control issues which works for him as the "muscle" of the team. He also has a less than "hero-like" past. All of which leaves him feeling he's lucky to fit in & be comfortable with his team/pack and not to expect anything more much less a HEA for himself. Brielle just wants to live a normal life but her own abilities and a younger brother with has knack for trouble hasn't made that easy. Brielle agrees to help STAT with their current mission in exchange for them helping her find her brother who appears to again be in trouble and likely is inadvertently mixed up on the wrong side of said mission. I enjoyed the building of Caleb & Brielle's relationship. we got to watch them dance around each other, tentatively flirt at times as the chemistry and trust between them built. While there was passion, there was also sweet as they both began to hope that something neither thought they'd ever have might just be theirs after all.

(4.5) Buckle up for another wild ride in Paiges brain, ah I mean STAT world. Another win in the paranormal world that Paige Tyler reinvents with different creatures out of the norm. Every time I read the STAT books I just think WOW! Our basis for STAT team is the werewolf, but even on the team we have a few other species and then the ones we run into, oh my! I would like tobget a peak inside Paiges creative brain, but even if that was possible I would be too scared. The creatures that built the tunnel, ay yi yi. This is Caleb's book, the omega werewolf, the who gives a crap, lets just tear anything apart, will be alone forever. Brielle is "The One" even though he doesn't believe its possible with his omega status. The abilities Brielle has are fascinating. There is mystery, intrigue, suspense, romance with some gnarly supernaturals. The pack is family, the pack is expanding and more people are becoming familiar with the supernatural world. I was left with a question, how did Julian do what he did in the tunnel when everyone else had issues. No spoilers. Is anyone else afraid we haven't seen the last of our tunnel diggers? Yikes. I love this series, I love that each couple is mentioned and has their moment in every book. Thank you Paige for sharing your talent, thank you Casablanca Sourcebooks for approving the arc for me through Netgalley. I freely share my thoughts and opinions
True Wolf is the third book in Paige Tyler’s paranormal suspense series called STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team. This story is action-packed moving quickly between settings, with many twists and interesting characters.
Caleb, as an omega werewolf, is the 'fighter/beserker' for the team given his lack of control. He has a more 'gray' past leaving him feeling somewhat detached from his team but thankful for a place and the comfort of a pack. It does mean his expectations of a happy life - and a HEA, is low. Brielle has a younger brother prone to get himself into trouble. She strongly longs for a more normal life while keeping her own paranormal abilities secret in fear of exploitation.
Unfortunately, the fast action with minimal periods of slow became a bit of a blur when reading. I think this would have made a good movie, but as a book the story lets you down with too many threads to follow and envision. A save the world type plot that can be overwhelming in the face of all the new "type" paranormal/supernatural we are introduced to. The books in the series are very much team-based and the sheer number of characters coming through felt very much like a distraction and made it difficult to keep up with the story thread.
Caleb/Brielle wasn't a pairing particularly interesting or captivating. This together with the overstimulation from the action part meant that I had to put the book down more often than not while finishing. It became tiring to read.
True Wolf is the third book in Paige Tyler’s new and amazing paranormal suspense series called STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team. This story has a fantastic, action-packed storyline, interesting characters, and terrific chemistry
While looking for a group of thieves who have stolen a large number of nuclear weapons from the US air force, Omega Werewolf Caleb Lynch, a member of STAT, is asked to work with Brielle Fontaine and her supernatural abilities. The chemistry between this hero and heroine was evident in the previous book of this series and continued to grow and blossom in this story and they fought together to stop WWIII. Both Caleb and Brielle have issues they are dealing with but will they be able to put those aside in order to save the world and themselves? Read it and find out! All the books in Paige Tyler’s STAT series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone. However, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy received from Netgalley.
Another brilliant read in this series That is about a team of supernatural beings who have been formed into the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team to combat criminals that are supernatural like themselves We have met the team members before and this is Caleb Lynch and Omega Wolfs story. He thought he had a connection with Brielle Fontaine in an earlier book but she was on the wrong side of the law that time but she has managed to cut a deal for her and her brother and walked away scot free. When supernatural steal nuclear weapons from a base in Turkey she is called in to help the team Once again her brother seems to be involved with the criminals but is it all that it seems and will they finally learn what type of powers Brielle has. As the chase the criminals and the weapons across the world leading to a final showdown in New York Brielle and Caleb get ever closer and he discovers that she is a calming influence on his over the top wolf Can they have a future You will have to read to see
Caleb Lynch, Omega Werewolf agent, and member of the first Paranormal team called Special Threat Assessment Team (STAT), and his team's personal Berserker when his wolf takes control. Brielle Fontaine joins the STAT team, and offers her abilities, if they can assist her in finding her brother, Julian who can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. Brielle has the abilities to absorb another Paranormal"s knowledge, and skills. This is something that can come in handy to recruit more Paranormals into service. STAT agrees to help Brielle find Julian, who unknowingly is working for a group of Nuke stealing Paranormals.
As Caleb, and Brielle work together, the attraction grows between them. Time is running out as the hunt is on for the madman, that has stolen 4 B61 Nukes, to transform into a Laser to destroy half the world believing that'll save the rest. Will Caleb, and Brielle be able to find the nukes, stop a Full-Scale International incident from happening, and find love? They'll have to because Caleb needs to tell Brielle that she's, his mate.
Six or seven years ago, "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Paige Tyler was the first shifter book I'd read, and I was instantly hooked on the genre. I loved it so much that I read through the series again a while later. Reading this book was like coming home - this author does a fantastic job of blending the shifter and suspense genres, giving us a story like none other.
Caleb and Brielle were perfect together. I loved the way the fit into each other's lives, and adored watching them work together on the case. They're truly perfect mates for each other, and I loved how the author brilliantly balanced the romance with the fast-paced action and suspense. This book will make you swoon and keep you guessing all the way through.
If you like romantic suspense, if you like wolf shifters, or if you just love romances, you're going to enjoy this story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
After my first hesitation of this series with Wolf Under Fire and my much better experience with Undercover Wolf, I was looking forward to pick up this third installment of the STAT series of Paige Tyler.
Because this story was about Caleb. I had been keeping my fingers crossed for this unstable, grumpy yet hilarious omega to find his match.
And he does! But of course, not without a lot of action, a mission nearly gone wrong and a lot of supernatural characters. But Caleb and Brielle make a cute couple. We had met Brielle already in the previous parts. Then, she had been working with the bad guys. And nobody knew exactly what kind of supernatural Brielle is. In this story you will find out. Including the reason she was working with the bad guys in the first place.
True to Paige’s style: fun, action, suspense and romance all packed into one. Loved it! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
