Pure evil face revealed.

I still believe that the first book of this series destroyed a great chance of a N. Y. Best seller and if wasn’t fixed still and should be.
I don’t know what it is about the author M. K. Schultz but something about his style, about his beautiful penmanship totally grabs me without letting me take a break, it’s an unsolvable riddle.
The only mistake I see in this whole series is that destiny and multiverse exist together but the multiverse is infinite so all exist in one or more of the realities, no destiny requires unless you mean which reality destiny chose for you to live in which also hard to make sense of when thinking about.

But all this matters not when you listen to an amazingly written science fiction story, enjoying every minute of it.

WOW, this is new to me, at about the second third of this creation, a change from an audiobook felt like a twist
into a broadway show.

Each of the characters in this creation is beautifully narrated by Skyler Morgan.

Absolutely
without a
doubt, got my full

WOW!!!! What an ending! I have loved this series since the first book. I devoured each one, so excited to get to the last one, and see just how Kassius Kanex will take care of the evil force trying to not only take him out, but the entire world as well. Each book was unique, yet the story carries through them all until we end up here, where the final battle of good and evil takes place. I was sure I knew how it would end, but I was so very wrong! While good always seems prevails over evil, we see here that there are great risks, even greater losses and lots of pain to be had. I was sad, angry, excited, fearful and ultimately joyful. However, this joy didn't come easy or as expected. Which I loved! It was dark, violent, brutal and twisted. Kept me turning pages way into the night, needing to know what the next page would hold. The ending was truly epic and the last paragraph dropped a bomb that left my mouth hanging open! Its a series that will stick with you and I know I will read again and again as I know there will be elements that will jump out at me every time.

I started reading Equilibrium, the third instalment of the Kassius Kannex series, and I was immediately enraptured by the story. It was really too bad when life got in the way and I had to put it down until I had a free moment again. Schultz just has a very captivating writing style, which I already knew from reading his horror novel, The Muse. He doesn't bog the story down with too many details of physical descriptions of characters or places, giving just enough to imagine the world he's created. I appreciated so much his more minimalist style of writing because this was a long and complex tale and it was all meat with not a word wasted.

This is a sci-fi novel of good versus evil that spans the universe and nearly every continent on earth and also happens over decades with lots of time-jumps. Kassius, a being of great importance and great power in the universe, but who is thought to be just a regular family and company man by most, has, through an emotion-driven decision, unleashed an evil upon the world. Now he's the only one who can stop it. The evil is Dade and Dade is probably one of my favorite characters in the sci-fi / horror genres ever because he is just so evil. He's a being as old as the Cosmos, but having been recently incarnated in the flesh, he begins to play with and explore the earthly realm and all it has to offer. If you like dark stories, you'll like Dade's role in this book. I enjoyed the parts of the book with agents Eastman and Gale, too, two detectives who are trying to figure out what's going on and wondering if the 'supernatural' is real. They added a nice layer of humor and banter to what is a very dark sci-fi story.

Kass is not completely alone in having to defeat Dade to save both his family and humanity. Having knowledge that stretches beyond our normal constructs of time, along with the ability to time travel and teleport himself, he creates an army of sorts 'The Organization' which stretches across the earth. I loved reading the background stories of all the members of the organization because they each had challenges unique to their locale. These stories took place in countries as disparate as Brazil and Japan, Mexico and Russia, the US and the Congo. Schultz created settings and characters rich and vivid for all of these different cultures and countries.

The ending was amazing and if you know Schultz's work by now you know you will be surprised. If you want to read something entertaining by an author who just doesn't hold back when it comes to the on-page action, definitely get this book.

"Equilibrium: Kassius Kanex, Book 3" offers a gripping and intense continuation of the series, where the battle between the protagonist, Kassius Kanex, and the formidable antagonist, Dade, reaches new heights. The narrative expertly weaves elements of power dynamics, metaphysical dreams, and the quest for equilibrium, creating a complex and engaging storyline. Schultz skillfully builds tension and emotion through vivid descriptions and character revelations, making this installment a thrilling and satisfying read for fans of science fiction and epic battles between good and evil. The exploration of power, sacrifice, and the blurred lines between hero and villain adds depth to the characters, ensuring that readers are in for an immersive and thought-provoking experience.

As the story unfolds, Schultz introduces symbolic elements and mysticism, enhancing the narrative's depth. The resolution of key plot points and the achievement of equilibrium bring a satisfying conclusion to this chapter while leaving room for anticipation of what's to come in the series. "Equilibrium" stands out as a compelling addition to the Kassius Kanex saga, delivering a potent mix of action, emotion, and metaphysical exploration.

"The cenipede will be crushed..."

After finishing the second book (The Fishing Trip) in the Kassius Kanex series, I decided that I would not read the next. But when it came out on Audible recently I decided that, after all, I would give it another try. Well, as always, Skyler Morgan gave a good performance, managing to be both soft a d sinister simultaneously. As for the story, there are some good ideas there but they tend to be not so much horror as unsavoury, with some sexual titillation for the boys. Plus there is a very long section giving life histories of numerous people (though mercifully not 333), whose destiny is set which could easily have been ommitted

Not my thing, sadly: I should have followed my original advice: that is over twelve hours I will not get back. It was good to hear the narrator again though, and my thanks to the rights holders who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary audible copy.

An Epic Story on a Biblical Scale.
I liked that this book is a necessary completion of the trilogy, enhancing and drawing on threads laid out in the previous two books, taking the story to the end the other books built toward as Kassius' past actions come back to bite him and his world unravels dramatically. I liked the biblical themes of faith and destiny and rebirth as Kassius' apostle-like pod leaders toil without him, hoping for his return. Dark, horrible, shocking things happen to each. The resolution ascends to a level I could never, ever have conceived. I am not a horror or gore fan myself but I liked the story structure and ending - maybe I am biased because I feel like I was part of the story evolution!

"Equilibrium" is a gripping time travel science fiction novel with an exciting mix of suspense and adventure, featuring a diverse cast of characters. The narrative unfolds seamlessly, with the author skillfully weaving together elements of time travel and science fiction. The character dynamics, particularly Kassius' relationship with his diverse group of allies, add depth and intrigue to the story. The overall adventure keeps you on the edge of your seat. The book is a must-read for fans of the genre. It is an engaging and satisfying conclusion to the "Kassius Kanex" series, providing a fitting end to the epic tale of heroism and the battle against impending darkness.
