Instead, they sat down and starved to death rather than walk out. When Robyn Miller inherits her father's share of an old ghost town in Nevada that has been in the family for generations, she decides to pack up and make a new life by creating a one-of-a-kind wedding venue and tourist attraction. Eager to put her plans into action, she hires a trio of geologists to survey the crumbling gold mine so that she can start offering tours. But only one of them makes it out alive, and he brings with him a tale of mummified corpses and seams of gold. He also tells of a creature deep in the tunnels. A beast with glowing red eyes that attacked them, killing his companions and almost murdering him.The local police, unable to find answers, call in the FBI, who in turn ask CUSP for help. Another fabulous bargain on this John Decker series set. In Decker we find an extremely likeable character. Recruited by a clandestine agency, John is a monster hunter. He's no super hero. Human and flawed, afraid when it is normal to feel fear, his sense of duty pushes him to forge ahead nonetheless. This is one of the things that makes him the perfect hero. The stories are written in simple language, conveying emotion in a realistic manner. The series is such a joy to read. If you are an Indiana Jones fan you will absolutely love this series.

The Greatest Series since Jack Reacher

I can't express how much I enjoyed all 9 books in this series. I've picked Liam Nelson to be John Decker in the action movie in my head. Well written and an absolute pleasure to read.
Don't miss. Now I'm starting other books by Anthony Strong until volume 10 in this series comes out. Recommend 100%

Three great Decker novels!

These books are enjoyable, easy reads. Each different enough, while still following similar plot lines. This world keeps getting deeper and Decker as always is an entertaining character. Highly recommended.
