Moon Man is Bart Sibrel’s revealing memoir recalling his harrowing journey investigating what really happened during America’s famous “Apollo” missions. It features truly hair-raising and life-threatening encounters with agents from the US government’s secret agencies. Sibrel’s memoir divulges, for the very first time, his real-life espionage adventures while uncovering one of the CIA’s greatest secrets, including Sibrel’s discovery of privately recorded audio of an Apollo astronaut plotting his assassination by the CIA, which would not be necessary if the Apollo missions were real.Moon Man also exposes, for the very first time, the official CIA Code-Name for the real Apollo project, the military base where the first fake Moon landing was filmed, as well as the names of fifteen US government scientists and officials who were recorded in attendance for the first Moon landing falsification, some of whom are still alive today. This highly revealing information was provided to Sibrel by the Chief of Security of this secretive military base, who finally confessed his regrettable participation in this despicable government fraud on his deathbed.Bart Sibrel is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and investigative journalist, who has produced television programs and documentaries for over forty years. He has been employed by two of the three major US networks, worked as a television news reporter, and has produced segments for ABC, NBC, and CBS. Sibrel regularly speaks as a guest commentator regarding the Moon landing fraud, and has appeared as such on NBC, FOX, CNN, and HBO to discuss his films “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon” and “Astronauts Gone Wild”.Bart Sibrel grew up as a devout supporter of the supposed Moon landings, yet over the years, gradually began to recognize their unfortunate falsification. In Sibrel’s mind, the claim that astronauts walked on the moon on the very first attempt with antiquated untried 1960s technology, when today with five decades of more advanced technology the US can only send astronauts one-thousandth the distance to the Moon, simply defies logic. Sibrel is convinced that until the Moon landing fraud is exposed, the governments of the world will continue deceiving the people under their care until their eventual demise.Sibrel.com
It’s awful to have believed we lived in a “free” country ; and that other countries gave their citizens propaganda for news and entertainment, but in our country we had “freedom” of speech and of the press — only to wake up and realize that we live in tyranny and mind control. The author tells his own account of being chased by ruthless people as he tried to get an evidence reel of film to CNN in Atlanta. He then explains why he made his own documentary films and what he felt when he viewed the one in which he surprised and confronted astronauts on camera. Not only does he give his main reason for doubting the still pictures of the window view of Earth from the module and the astronauts on the Moon, but he asks the reader many times how we could accept this technology from 1969 when it hasn’t been repeated or improved upon. Also spends time discussing the dangers of radiation as traveling through the Van Allen Radiation Belts around the earth, and how today this is still considered an insurmountable barrier. Finally, he discusses second hand information from a deceased astronaut’s widow and son. There is even more in the book, and links to online material. You won’t be sorry you took the time to read it, but you might regret the information you learn.
Interesting read. Caution: Spoilers ahead. I will say that Mr. Sibrel is very persuasive in his arguments and his evidence is extremely compelling. Throughout my adult life, I assumed NASA faked much of the images and video released to the public to prevent disclosure of what they really found on the moon. Alien stuff, right? Per the Brookings Report, they didn't want to start a panic, so they faked images to keep us all calm. What a pleasant delusion I had until Bart Sibrel came along.
The fact of the matter is, I didn't want to believe that they lied to us, deceived us so blatantly. I was six when I watched everybody's Uncle Walter cry on live TV as Armstrong—the greatest American hero of many decades—left the first ever human footsteps in the lunar dust. Saw it with my own eyes. How could it not be real?
Sibrel mentions numerous times how methodical and meticulous his research is ... he mentions it a lot. There are a lot of redundancies in the book. I don't know if it was necessary to fill the pages, or if he felt the repetition would help burn through our collective cognitive dissonance. Honestly, it could be the latter, but regardless, I wish his editing/proofreading team had been equally methodical and meticulous. Coming across a typographical error, missing word, etc., takes away from his claims of fastidiousness. That one criticism aside, this is a very worthwhile read.
Sibrel is also a more descent guy than I gave him credit for being—he humbles himself in regard to how he treated our astronauts in his film, "Astronauts Gone Wild." That film was my introduction to his work and to be frank, my first thought was, "What an obnoxious asshole!" However, put into context of another of his films, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon," and his work in "Moon Man," it's much easier to understand his frustration in seeking the truth and the very real dangers he could face while attempting to bring us disclosure of how horrific and deceitful factions within our government are.
Evidence, whistleblowers and deathbed confessions aside, the single most eye-opening question Sibrel asks his readers is the one that should pry open the most closed mind: Can you name one other technology that has not advanced in the 50+ years since we went to the moon? Aside from Apollo, I could not. Well played, sir.
Simply put: “Houston, we’ve got a bigger problem now!”
Bart Sibrel does in a book what his documentary (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon) did for a video. No holes barred and every lie starred. This exposè excellentè puts the oo in moon frauds. Finally, the big questions are answered, the whys and hows jump over the moon and land with a dang! Bart’s courage to stand forth despite a death nail glimmering in the peripheral launches this seminal opus right into the eyes of the beholden.
Really understand his very heartfelt reasoning of the issue and ramifications of this longstanding fraud upon our civilization. But really, really see his simple solutions and the great results they can garner.
This is not another moon landing denier doorstop-paperweight. This is THE SEMINAL volume of the crux of the issue. Heavyweight, fraud-stopper and the skeletons come flying out of the cluttered closet.
Buy it, read it and be relieved that Houstonian problems are societal foundations with Barts trowel of truth cementing the steps we can begin to take. Can we do it?! Yes we can moon man!
A well-written fiction , mixing innuendo with a few facts. Has a vivid imagination, but thinks too highly of his importance. All his arguments have been readily refuted many times: 1. The technology was advanced enough then to make it happen. In fact, it was a conservative design, scaled up from rockets going back to the v2. Single mission, single use, redundant systems, standard rocket fuels … 2. The van Allen belts radiation is intense but the astronauts, due to not being in the belts for much more than an hour, were exposed to about 16 RAD. A lethal dose is 300 RAD. 3. The light shading is what occurred. The author neglects that there were other reflective surfaces than the sun. Other technical details are just wrong. For example, it was the lunar lander simulator that was a danger and nearly killed Armstrong, not the lunar lander itself.
Bart Sibrel did a great job on the recently published Moon Man. At 240 pgs. it's a fun easy read and Bart is a good writer, his prose flows right along....Through out Bart backs up his films with some interesting anecdotes and insights...filling in the blanks so to speak. The majority of Moon Man though is centered on the loss of morals at the top of our government trickling down...Bart backs up all with rock-solid logic through-out....Links through-out the book are available for viewing Bart's films and other moon-hoax frauds.
I watched A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon... back in 2016, and it was a key part in my journey to recognizing and acknowledging that the moon landings from 1969-1972 had been faked. Later, I also watched Astronauts Gone Wild -- another gem.
So when I saw that Bart Sibrel had just published this book, I rushed to buy it and read it. (I naturally bought a paper copy in case it ends up getting banned!)
In the first half of the book, Sibrel describes what happened behind the scenes while filming both of his famous documentaries. And what happened is absolutely stunning. Quite frankly, it's a miracle that Sibrel survived and completed the films.
While some readers might question the veracity of Sibrel's account due to how sensational and outrageous it sounds... I personally believe Sibrel has taken great pains to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In fact, as I read, I was reminded of the same intimidation tactics used to try to silence Henry Vinson, which he describes in his memoir Confessions of a D.C. Madam, another must-read.
The first half of Sibrel's book is extremely compelling and hard to put down, but some of the best material is near the end. I'm talking about two things in particular. First, the major disclosure that begins on page 155. Sibrel writes...
"Now I have something major to disclose. This disclosure is now possible as the high-ranking military source of my investigation into this matter has died, and the predetermined waiting period after his death has expired. I am now free to publish his testimony that comprises the following highly relevant information about the Moon landing deception, which is shared here for the very first time."
The second thing that really stood out to me was the new information revealed in Chapter 11 about the targeted killing of Virgil "Gus" Grissom, who was the lead astronaut among the first trio who were supposed to fly to the moon. Grissom's problem was that he was too honest, too principled. He became an obstacle to the faked moon landings and had to be taken out. Sibrel relates these incidents, which includes intel he's been able to obtain that I've not seen or heard before.
To be clear, I was already familiar with the manner of (and reason for) Gus Grissom's death. But Sibrel shares new details about these events that I didn't know about.
There are a few typos in the book, and Sibrel has a tendency of repeating some of the same thoughts and ideas at various points in his book. Nevertheless, even this was not enough for me to deduct a star from my rating. Sibrel has done the U.S. and the world a huge favor by writing and publishing this book. Read it.
Well Put Together Array of Information That Holds Interest and Makes the Point Quite Effectively
Had zero interest in this topic and like about 75% of the public simply bought the moon landings without giving it a second thought. After reading this book and just as importantly following the suggested links to the videos, it is quite clear that there is no way that we landed on the moon.
Call that blasphemy if you wish, but unless you have looked at the actual facts and the quite revealing videos, you don’t have the facts, as I didn’t, to make an intelligent qualified decision.
Problems with the landing story I never considered. Number 1 problem, travel through the Van Allen radiation belt. Astronauts would have to travel for two hours through a radiation belt 100 times or more greater than a person should receive in a month. Radiation that would easily penetrate rockets as they were made then and are currently made which is why we have not traveled to the moon allegedly for 50 years.
The Van Allen belt problem was never resolved and was not resolved even then which is why they had to fake it. It is also the reason no other nation has broken the earth orbit maximum of about 250 miles high. The belt starts at 1,000 miles out and continues for 30,000 plus miles.
There is much more in the book plus some very interesting information on the connection of the CIA and our media which as many know by now is no longer a free media.
A surprisingly interesting read that reveals more than just the faked moon landing that kept my interest and I read the book in under three days.
I purchased the Kindle version and the audible audio which is effectively well read by the author who places the correct emphasis where appropriate. So, I both read and listened to the audible version while doing other non challenging chores in the background like canning my tomato harvest,
I would recommend the book to those who enjoy learning the truth about what our government is up to and how it actually works.
The book is one third autobiographical anecdotes, one third arguments to prove the moon landings were fake and one third political call to action/attack on his opponents.
His story is pretty out there, being kidnapped by the government and checked into mental hospitals multiple times, including voluntarily. There is an odd Christian veneer to the book too. He comes across as unhinged. You can tell he is very passionate about the topic and is used to dealing with very aggressive detractors, many of which he calls out by name. My low rating is more for the style and writing than whether I think the moon landings were fake.
His arguments for the moon landings being fake breakdown to 1) a video he got from NASA where a voice is recorded prompting when the astronauts reply, which he says is to fake a time delay, 2) photograph/video anomalies which contradict NASA’s claims, 3) the impossibility of a human safely traversing the Van Allen radiation belt, 4) the suspicious behavior and statements of astronauts and NASA officials, 5) the fact that NASA says we can’t send astronauts to the moon with current technology, and 6) what he feels is the overreaction against and suppression of the fake moon landing theory. Some of these are more persuasive than others, but I think some of his arguments are not fully explained with the conventional theory that we went to the moon.
Shocking, sickening, & utterly impossible to put down!
This man Bart Sibrel deserves a Nobel Prize at the most & a Pulitzer at the very least for showing & bringing to light what a bunch of depraved psychopaths have us & our government by the b*lls! Incredible & unbelievable are the only words I can think of to describe my feelings about this book, maybe in addition I might add totally sickened by what I read! He is a muckraker extraordinaire & is now my newest cultural hero & icon! Who else could have withstood the withering fire he has gone through to bring this story to the light of day, being harangued by the CIA & threatened with his life could not stop him; he is indeed, a very brave man! This is the one book above all others you must read!
If you don’t believe men landed on the moon, then this is your book. The author presents his views as to why the moon landings never took place. It is up to the reader to decide after reading the book, if the moon landings were indeed, real. I wish the author would have given his views on the Apollo 13 moon mission, which nearly cost the astronauts their lives. After reading, you will have something to talk about and think about.
Give it a read! It's actually quite enlightening. You don't have to subscribe to this point of view to gain knowlege from this book ... BUT in may just open your eyes to the same playbook that exists in today's events.
"Moon Man: The True Story of a Filmmaker on the CIA Hit List" is a compelling read that takes you on a thrilling journey with filmmaker Bart Sibrel, who dares to challenge the official narrative of the Apollo moon landings. Sibrel's memoir is not just a book; it's a crusade against the tidal wave of ignorance surrounding one of the most controversial topics in modern history. I try to match Sibrel's audacious spirit in my own podcast, Event Horizon, where the quest for truth is paramount, and the paranormal is just another realm to conquer. Sibrel is not afraid to delve into the abyss of conspiracy and emerge with thought-provoking questions that leave readers and listeners alike questioning reality and the United States government.
This book is a testament to the warrior spirit of Sibrel, who, armed with facts, evidence and unwavering conviction, takes on a Goliath of governmental secrecy and disinformation. It's a must-read for those who appreciate the valor of individuals like Sibrel, who tirelessly work to illuminate the shadows of our understanding with the torch of inquiry and skepticism.
Every American must read and objectively come to their own conclusions
All my senses assure me there is a 100% chance Mr. Sibrel doesn’t have the story he tells 100% right, and understandably so given all the resistance he encountered during his many years of investigation and research. I strongly suspect, however, he is sadly far more right than wrong. I greatly appreciate his courage and tenacious commitment to tirelessly pursuing what he believes is the God’s honest truth.
If his underlying premise that mankind has never been beyond low earth orbit beneath the Van Allen Radiation Belts is correct, it doesn’t matter why or how well intended the conspirator’s coordinated campaign of deception was … It was and still continues as a criminal conspiracy of epic proportion, one that demands justice to ultimately be served, either in this life or in the eternities to come after this life for all mankind…
This book will challenge what you think you know about the Moon Landing. Mr Sibrel has some very interesting sources. My own theory has to deal with the space backpack used during all walking on the moon. Some walks lasted over 2 1/2 hours. Just the space to house two oxygen or air tanks would take up 90 % of the space in the backpack. Also the battery in order to power all of the survival systems would take up over half of the backpack. You would need, a heating system, cooling system, electric system, lighting system and Air system. If you look at the current survival backpack planned to be used on the new trip to the Moon it is almost the same size as the one used on Apollo 54 years ago. We haven't progressed in miniaturzation in those 54 years. You have got to be kidding me. Read this book and make up your own mind.
First off, I want to clearly state that on the content, and the merits of fact, this author is giving us facts and truth: all Apollo moon landing/man walking missions were faked. There cannot be a doubt about this. I would have gladly given this book 5 stars for that, but I am withholding two of them for a rather poor writing style: too many repetitions all over the place, incorrect syntax in many places, brief: sloppy editing. I believe that a book of journalistic importance in truth reporting should also respect a higher level of literary expression and polish. This book does not have the quality of a final version, but rather that of a preliminary draft. I think it would be totally worthwhile to work it over once more, and make it into a well shaped, and strongly muscled work of historic evidence.
This book purports to reveal the definitive proof that the Apollo Moon landings were a grand deception, meticulously orchestrated by the CIA to boost national morale and bluff the Soviets. Author Bart Sibrel, an award-winning filmmaker on an alleged CIA hit list, generously shares his harrowing personal adventures, including escaping government agents and confronting “soulless” astronauts, all while uncovering the truth that mainstream media (conveniently controlled by the CIA) simply won't broadcast. This book is an indispensable guide for anyone seeking to finally awaken to the “deplorable reality behind the propaganda” (7, 342). It’s also is an indispensable case study in paranoia.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
With more and more of the public disbelieving the gov't's story about the Apollo missions and our moon landings, I wanted to read a bit more about the hoax claims. This book was a good intro to the subject with plenty of additional info on the author's website.
Author is definitely a bit odd and egotistical, but brings up some interesting possibilities. Definitely check out the viral video of Buzz Aldrin socking him in the mouth a few years ago! Old dude had a quick jab!
The author makes a lot of compelling arguments in this book. As a skeptic of the moon landings, this was either eye opening or at the very least reinforced some of my own thoughts on the matter. However I have to say; the writing was horrible. Whoever edited this book did not even do a passable job, as there were many typos throughout the book. The authors writing style was also extremely repetitive, and an annoyance to read through him saying the same thing 3 or 4 times before getting to the point in every chapter. There were almost entire pages that were literally 1 sentence. Overall it was worth the read if you can tolerate the elementary level writing.
The first part of the book is interesting as the author explains why it is impossible for man to go to the moon. I am not convinced but it helps to have an open mind when reading this. The second half or so is more preachy, less argument about a trip to the moon. A good start into reading up on this topic.
The writer creates a compelling case with convincing arguments for stating NASA never went to the moon, but keeps repeating the same talking points over and over. (Nonetheless, the book covers some interesting side-stories and personal anecdotes). After reading it left me feeling the same book could've also been written in just 50 pages.
I knew the moon landings were lies but this book lays it out for you,I really enjoyed reading this book. It amazes me that there are still people who believe we landed on the moon! I know a person who believes the moon landings were real just because her father worked at NASA !
I actually don't care whether NASA went to the Moon or not now having read somebody this drivel. in the 2 chapters I managed to endure, the author singularly fails to construct any barely readable sentences. Most of them are so unnecessarily long that I'd forgotten what point he was making by the end; after about the tenth time having to re-read I could face another 300 pages and binned it off.
Rockstar patriot! You confirmed some suspicions I encountered on my own journey about misdeeds performed all in an effort to protect their lies. God bless and protect you.
I couldn't figure out why I always thought something was off on the moon landing. Reading this showed me I wasn't wrong in my suspicion. Really good book to read. I enjoyed it from start to finish.
I have wondered about the moon landing being faked for many years. Now I believe it was. The deception with the Government started many years ago with Roswell or maybe even before that. This is a must read.
I think the overall message about not fulling trusting the government is proven ten fold, but this book was a little drawn out at some point points where points were consistently emphasized and repeated. Which I guess also makes sense because of how close minded some people may be about this topic.
Interesting read but the redundancy of his premise stated over and over was a bit much for my taste. He could have shortened his book by a few chapters. If I was unsure of his testimony and claims I could easily just have reread what he previously wrote.
