Will I sacrifice my heart to save my home?

War has finally come to the Mists. The Murk have invaded, and if they have their way, the men I love and all the other fae in the place I now call home will fall before their twisted magic.

I may be only human, but I won't let my lovers fight alone. I've proven again and again that I'm more than a cure for their curse. I'm not a tool but a wild card our enemies still don't fully understand.

But our only chance at victory may come at a cost too high for me to bear. What if winning means destroying the bonds that have made my life worth living?

I must say that after eight books (this being the ninth) I am still sad to say goodbye to Talia and the fae. I am not going to ruin this book for you, I will just say that all questions will be answered, all loose ends will be tied up. The seasonal fae are at war with the Murk and things are never going to be the same when this war is over, but will things be better or worse for Talia and those she loves?

I give the final book a 3.5. Why, you ask…

The series is very well written. The world and character building and evolution are also very good. I like Talia and all her men and ties to the different fae races. Heck even the magic system is cool.

But here’s my issue…

I’ve invested so much time in not only one or two, but NINE books all to have a very clean cookie cutter happy ending where everyone gets what they want. Very anticlimactic to say the least. I mean good for the characters for getting everything they wanted. But it seemed a little bit of a quick wrap up after all the buildup over NINE books.

I received an ebook ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gosh yes - this is the ending we have all been waiting for! The Murk King has declared war and even with Talia’s soul freed of his curse… there is still a lot more for Talia to go through until she is finally free.

The start of the novel is very heavy on the plot, but we do get some steamy scenes as stress relievers (for both the reader and Talia), so you can very much look forward to that!

Chase’s positioning of Talia throughout the whole series finally comes to fruition when the Mists need her most and it is exactly the best way to send off Talia and her men!

Heart of the Mists perfect conclusion for Chase’s fun and sensual series! Readers will be left emotional, but satisfied for sure.

Happy Reading!

War has finally come to the Mists. The Murk have invaded and if their King had his way the men that Talia loves and all the other fae in that realm will fall before his twisted magic and false Heart. She is only a human but she will not let them fight alone as she has proven time and time again that she is more than just a cure for their curse - she is in fact a wild card that can be a deciding factor when underestimated. But what will the price of winning be - it could be destroying the bonds that have made her life worth living.?

Wow - this was an explosive ending to the series which tried relationships, piled on danger after danger (sometimes from unexpected directions) and at the centre of it all was a determined human woman who would do everything that she could to save the people that she loved. There was heartbreak, pain, but lots of love that did everything that it could to counter the evil. Well written, easy to read and understand. I was definitely addicted to the story and just had to know what was going to happen next and who would come out of it alive.

I'm not sure whether I want to laugh or cry. I devoured the conclusion to this series, yet at the same time I am so sad to finish the series after 9 volumes! Each volume dragged me further into the fae world. The final installment had me doubting, I couldn't figure out how all the loose ends could get tied up in a single book without seeming hurried. Needless to say, I shoudn't have worried; Ms Chase is as masterful as ever, to the point where it seems flawless and I was annoyed not to have seen things coming. Beautifully orchestrated conclusion to a fabulous series.

There’s a lot happening in this book. I feel like we got non-stop tension and high stakes with Talia running around everywhere and trying to save everybody. Magical warfare is harsh and not always logical.
The new character introduction is a bit weird though this far into things.

Well. It’s here at last! Book nine of the Bound To The Fae Series. Talia and her mates have been through so much and it’s not quite over yet! Orion isn’t finished with them. His sick and twisted heart has sinister plans for our group of heroes. You must read this final, thrilling edition to find out how it all ends! Full of everything that you would expect to have in a finale and then some! I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. I have become quite attached to these characters and I will miss them.

This has been a great series, one that I am sad to see end. A fantastic paranormal romance series with shifters, dangerous fae politics, and a wounded heroine finding her strength and her own way. The journey has been exciting and entertaining, battles have been fought and won and relationships have grown and developed. The characters are amazing and I have loved following them and the finale was worthy of this series!

This is it, the ninth book in the epic fantasy series Bound to the Fae wraps up in Hearts of the Mists. This book was fantastic bringing the story full circle and answering so many questions.

Talia, for most of the book, had always been confident, independent, thoughtful, and respectful. However, after a few truly horrible tactics by Orion Talia starts to doubt herself and the people around her but Talia doesn't stay down for long. She uses her strength and intelligence to thwart her enemies at every turn, proving time and time again just what a human can do.

I have to say that Talia has one of the most supportive harems. All her men, being fae, have more power than she does but at every turn, they treat her as an equal and as someone precious to them. They care about her ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Even Madoc has fully blended into the family, with respect and care.

This book was war. There was a full-on war between the murk and the season far. With battle plans, scrimmages, attacks, defects, and more. I thought somehow we would get a little more of Orien (it's perfectly fine that we didn't) but that did stop him from using harsh tactics. Of course, other problems arise, like a young woman in the winter court stirring up problems, I didn't like her from the start. Then Aerik and his cadre have to make one final show to prove what dastardly villains they truly are. Good thing the story ended on a good note but still had me asking for a little bit more.

Heart of the Mists was a fantastic ending to Taila's story. I really enjoyed the series, the ups and downs, the comradery, the romance, and the accomplishments of a human in the fae world. Eva did a fabulous job building this world and creating such wonderful characters. Best of all, Talia and her guys saved the day and got their HEA.

What a volatile, unpredictable story this one is. There is so much intrigue, danger, action and heartache in this final book of what has been a roller coaster ride of a series. Will Talia and her men be able to defeat the Murk and their King or will the Fae Realms’ lives as they know them be destroyed? This book was very hard to put down and I was up late into the night wanting to know what would happen next. I have loved this series and highly recommend it.

The war has started and the Murk have invaded, the men Talia loves are in danger. Will the human be the deciding factor in this war. There is heartbreak, tears intrigue and danger and love.
This is a thrilling conclusion to a fantastic series. This authors work is brilliant.

Oh my heart. I am terribly sad to see Talia and the Guys story end but I'm so happy and excited to see how it all panned out. Can't wait for Eva's next work of Art and all the guessing I will have to do lol.

This was a perfect ending for the fantastic journey that Eva has taken us on during this series. I am really happy with the way everything was wrapped up and the strength Talia displayed throughout. If you are looking for an epic fantasy saga, then pick this up right away.

I like long series it enable you to see each characters growth.
Talia evolved so much in this series, from the kidnapped human girl to an extremely confidant and beautiful lady of the mists.
This series is a slow burn/slow build. Corwin and Maddoc came in later than her 3 wolves mate but this addition was really well done, though we saw a little bit less of the three wolves at first, as the books went on, all five of them learned to build something not only with Talia but also between the five of them and build a family with Talia as the heart.
This series had so many characters besides the harem i can't help but wishes for some of them to get their own series like Delta or Flynn or maybe even Donovan

Thank goodness this series is done. The least spicy fae reverse harem. Totally unnecessary to weave in the dead but alive brother to just put him to sleep in an iron sphere and then turn him into a pen pal at the end. After enduring 9 books with the MFC and her 5 mates I feel robbed of not having an epilogue that at least goes a few years out to see what life became for her once the fae world stabilized and she wasn't constantly feeding her savior complex and adding trauma bonded mates. And why not just come out and say that she became fae?

Oh my fucking god this series was so long, and for what?

The whole thing could have been half the size, and I swear it would have been even better. I- I - This is just not it. Im sorry, but it wasn't worth my time. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good.

Seriously? She's held in horrible conditions and abused for 9 years and has very little PTSD, then falls in love with anyone who's nice to her for more than a day. It's too much. I read it because I wanted to see where the overall story would go, but this was pretty bad

My review is written voluntarily after listening to and reading this wonderful conclusion to a wonderful series. I want to give it more than five stars.....

This series has gripped my attention from the very beginning of Captive of Wolves, the first book in this nine-part series. We first met Talia locked in a cage the subject of abuse by Eric and his men, to her rescue by Silas, August and Whit I have been enthralled by the world created by Eva. By the characters, their problems and their lives. I have to admit I'm sad to say goodbye to these wonderfully well-crafted characters and to the mists. Although I suppose I should be happy that Talia, Silas, Corwin, August, Whit and Maddoc her five mates, yes you read that right she has five sexy mates, now finally have a chance to enjoy their lives in the heart of the mists

Eva Chase has made this series into one I will not forget, I know that I will listen to it again once my memories aren't so fresh. Everything about this especially this last book was done to perfection, all questions were answered, all enemies are dealt with and there is peace again in the mists. Everything was tied up nicely without feeling rushed. Orian, the mad king of the Murk has been defeated, his false heart has been destroyed, the curses affecting both the Winter and Summer Realms are gone and at long last Talia and her guys can live together in peace and happiness.

The storyline never lagged and the characters continued to grow and develop throughout every book, I still can't decide which of her guys I like best, so I think just as Talia hasn't had to choose, neither will I. The work in bringing this series to life, Eva's writing Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West's narration have made this one of my all-time favourites. Everything was perfection - well done to all involved.

What a ride!

I was beside myself when I heard this series was going to be 9 books long. It is partly sad to fall in love with characters and their world only to have to leave them so quickly. This story allows you to ride out their highs and lows on an epic scale.

One crisis has been averted for Talia and her men, but as always seems to happen, another crisis is right there to take its place. Beyond being I love with spending more time with these characters, I was floored to see how much they have grown. Where Talia would have not thought twice about sacrificing herself, she now looks for other options first, knowing her sacrifice will not solve the entire problem. Talia is a much a part of the solution as any of the arch lords. It was wonderful to see her standing her ground and having her voice be heard. She finally gets to face her tormentors and have her moment with them. She is done being underestimated

Her men, with their conflicting backgrounds, have formed a new family of what were enemies, united by their feelings for her.

I have loved this series. It was a thrilling ride that I loved each second of. I am excited for the boxsets. Can't wait to own each one.

I received an advanced copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

The final war wrapped up with King Orion dying by Talia’s hand. Talia finally consummated her relationship with Madoc not just with him alone but also with all of her other mates. The Murk have found some peace now having moved into the lands closer to the Mist than before. Talia was kidnapped by Aerick and his cadre but thankfully Talia was able to contact Corwin in time to save her. She also reunited with her brother Jaime and now they exchange letters between each other from both the fae and human realm. In the epilogue bonus chapter we go ten years into the future after the Heart the Murk created got destroyed and the Murk war ended to find that Talia gave birth to two children one is a wolf and the other a rat. Corwin continued to be entwined with Talia even after the Murk magic ended. Talia doesn’t seemed to have aged at all over the last 10 years after the Murk made heart vanished and the true names she learned appeared on her skin. We go to Christmas and New Years where Talia had her first Christmas with her two kids and mates and Jaime and his wife who all got along and had a great time.

3.5⭐️ - really enjoyed this, knew what was going to happen but enjoyed reading it all the same. Was very happy with the resolution and felt it was all true to character.

This book begins with the Murk invading the Mists and consists entirely of the small battles leading up to the end of the war.

The Murk invaded full forced and were able to get a foothold in both the summer and winter fringes. Several strongholds were abandoned temporarily to stop the Mark from advancing. The fae of the Mists were able to convince a faction of Murk not associated with Orion to agree to peace and move into the Mists. Having been relocated to Hearthshire, the Murk begin to grow a small community of rats there, and hope to be able to convince others to join.

Battle ensues, several rats defect from Orions side to join the settlement in the Mists, but not enough to effect the war. This is until Talia comes up with a plan to allow her close to the king to be able to kill him and win the war.

So good, loved the whole thing. Definitely recommend.

I’ve never been so glad for a series to be over. While I liked the actual story, world building and characters, this still remains the most awkward RH series I’ve ever read. With most RH books the collection of mates is a seamless flow but in these particular books she collects them like one might collect stamps. “Oh that one did something nice, let’s add him to the collection.” Also this series could have been completed in four books max. There was so much filler in every book that I wanted to skim the biggest part of each book. There were things that happened within the story that was completely unnecessary to the storyline itself. Like unfinished so stories that I’m sure will appear in later books. The ending was somewhat anti-climactic with all that the main characters had endured. when really thinking about it am I glad that I read this series? That I haven’t yet determined. All in all I would give this series as a whole anywhere between 2.75 stars and three stars, simply for the story, characters, and world building.

This finale was everything I had been hoping it would be! In a lot of series, you get the climax/big battle and its over too quickly and you are left not 100% satisfied. This was not the case with Eva Chase's finale to her amazing PNR/fantasy RH series. I loved that book 9 really focused on the battles and overall war between the Murk and the Seelie/Unseelie. I enjoyed seeing the different tactics, the war planning, the tragedies of war were a good touch (even though that one scene was devastating!). This really did feel like higher fantasy plot levels (even though with the Murk and Talia's background there were more modern anecdotes/references). I usually am not a fan of such long series, but I enjoyed each book and was so happy she brought us these characters and really gave their story the room to breathe. I enjoyed more of the side characters in this one, and hope some get their happy ending too! That one character....I felt bad for her, but wanted to throttle her as well. Also that ending made me so incredibly happy (some other scenes did too!) but my emotions were kind all over the place in this one. I am not sure how the author managed to fit everything in this last book. Great job, easily 5/5 stars for the story ❤️❤️❤️

Narration was good again, it seemed like they improved as the books went on. I loved the emotions that were portrayed and utterly spent again after listening because I went on that emotional journey with the characters, and I think the narration really helped with that. When the narrators do the opposite sex, they arent as strong, which is why I didnt give them a 5 stars for narration, but they are easily a 4 star for me.

that was a wonderful end to this series. it’s been one hell of a journey getting to this point but i have enjoyed it.

it was a satisfying ending for all the characters i think. all the plot points were completed and all my questions were answered.

once again, i think Talia not only carried this book but this whole series. the way she fought for herself, her mates, and her beliefs was truly admirable and it’s been a pleasure to follow along with her as she’s grown.

credit also needs to be given to Eva for coming up with not one, not two, but FIVE love interests that all managed to have their own personalities that didn’t encroach or overshadow any of the others and somehow made them all compatible. i wondered how any spicy scene between all six of them could ever work but Eva damn well made sure it worked.

overall, i’m glad i chose to read this series and a perfect ending just makes going through nine books totally worth it.

Awesome series, never a dull moment
An epic conclusion to this series that ended with an all out war. With conflicts coming from multiple fronts, the fae are looking for allies. Talia and her men all are in the fight for their existence, all the while trying to save as many lives as they can. This was so sad and heartwarming at the same time. Talia was able to face her lifelong bullies and everyone was standing up for themselves as they all stood together, a united front. It was not easy for many to put aside past perceptions.
The flow of the writing is superb along with the ever twisting plot line. There were many layers and plenty of depth that made the story enjoyable to read. There is love, sex and a strong independent heroine with great characters and a great plot. I highly recommend to read this entire series. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.

I loved this series

This is my favorite series of Eva's! The arc was just fantastic. Talia's growth was so incredible and all without using some magic to fix her leg. That to the end she did everything while wearing a brace. Some of the previous RH I've read, I've complained there's been too many beaus. That 1 or 2 get left as second tier and don't get as much time or character growth. Not in this series! All of the men had their own story arc, lots of time to develop their relationship with Talia. As well as great conflict, resolution and bonding moments with eachother. I especially liked the comraderie that Syrus and Corwin had going at the end. It was also great seeing Maddoc, Whit and August working together.
The ending was satisfying. Before this my fav would probably be her series with the pyro thief and monsters but the fae wolves were even better!

Book 9 of 9.

Bought on Kindle and Audible. Decent length on Audible. Contination of series, with a HEA, though some serious suspense and threat along the way!

As with all books by Eva Chase (or Eva Chance) it is exemplary! Hot, yet developed realtionshisp and all characters totally unique. Huge respect to male narrator on Audible for managing this across five men, plus of course the additional characters. All easily idenitifable as soon as he speaks as them.

This series did seem to last forever, and I have to say has had me in tears several times - to the extent I was unsure whether I could go on at several points through the prior books... I don't like it! I like a bit of stress, occasionally, not this heart ache and terror and bad guys so bad you want to run away (or throw your Kindle or ear buds away!).

Less trauma next time please Eva...

Never thought I'd say I'm glad that a book series is over but hell, I'm glad this one is. Don't get me wrong, the plot was interesting at times and it had potential. The world and the characters seem interesting and the magic system that these fae use sounds awesome.

But, and this is my opinion, the execution of it wasn't the greatest. It was dragged on for eternity. Did the series need 9 books? No. The whole series probably could've been done in maybe 4 books, 5 books pushing it. There was just so much filler content and repetitiveness and my brain just couldn't handle it.

I've invested a lot of time into this series. 9 books is A LOT to take on. But everything just gets wrapped up too nicely in the end for me. Everybody gets what they want which is just too cookie-cutter for me. The ending was just very anticlimactic based on the build-up for the last 9 books to say the least.
