This text is designed as a companion volume to "Discovering the Greeks". It provides an account of the major Greek and Cretan myths, and the text is suitable for a wide range of pupils. The first part of the book introduces the main Olympian gods and those in the second rank, and tells the story of Persephone, Narcissus, Pandora, and Orpheus and Eurydice. The second part of the book covers Theseus' adventures and the Trojan wars, and the third part of the book recounts the exploits of Odysseus, Jason, Perseus and Hercules. At the end of each chapter, there are suggestions for a variety of activities.
