Uno studio in nero
Inghilterra, fine del XIX secolo. 130 χρόνια (και βάλε) πριν, ο Άρθουρ Κόναν Ντόυλ, ιατρός, από το Εδιμβούργο της Σκωτίας,. σύστησε στο παγκόσμιο στερέωμα τον Σέρλοκ Χολμς, έναν ιδιόρρυθμο τύπο που του άρεσε να συντρέχει την αστυνομία στην επίλυση περίπλοκων εγκλημάτων. Σήμερα, ο Χοσέ Κάρλος Σομόθα, μας γνωρίζει τον κύριο Χ, έναν εκκεντρικό ασθενή ενός πολυτελούς ιδρύματος για πλούσιους εκκεντρικούς ασθενείς, ο οποίος αγωνιωδώς προσπαθεί να λύσει το μυστήριο πίσω από τις δολοφονίες δύο ζητιάνων.

La acción se desarrolla en un hospital para insanos mentales, donde Sherlock Holmes está ingresado y Arthur Conan Doyle es el médico que lo visita. Partiendo de esa premisa todo puede ocurrir, hay un derroche de imaginación y también una buena recreación de la época victoriana. Especialmente el teatro y los espectáculos - a menudo clandestinos - que eran como una válvula de escape que permitía cosas innombrables, a menudo con menores.
Este ambiente teatral no sólo aparece en la trama, sino también como parte de la vida de los personajes:
En cuanto a sir Leslie A. ... ¡Qué decir de sir Leslie! Era joven, vestía con colores teatrales y poseía un brillo en los ojos que parecía reflejar incontables noches escandalosas en el East End al resplandor de las velas, entre alientos de incontables mujeres, humo de opio y espectáculos prohibidos.
Somoza escribe muy bien y mantiene un buen nivel, con momentos emocionantes que nos transmite la voz de la narradora, una pobre chica que trabaja de enfermera en el psiquiátrico:
La purpurina desaparecía como rescoldos de hoguera en invierno. Nos había iluminado un poco con su sabor a fiesta. Y ahora estábamos allí, ambos y yo me preguntaba cuánto tenemos que pagar las personas como nosotros, los 'espectadores', el público del gallinero, por ser felices.
El teatro se concible también como una especie de hipnosis, capaz de cambiar la mente del que mira. Se incluyen citas de críticos de la época como:
Esa extraña barrera entre la obra y la realidad. ese párpado que se cierra al fin sobre la ilusión, como si todo el teatro fuese un gran ojo que nos hubiera mirado hasta entonces introduciéndonos en su pupila como un maestro hipnotizador... J. H. MILESTONE, Reflexiones sobre el arte teatral (1865)
En conjunto una buena lectura con encanto y muchas ideas interesantes sobre el teatro victoriano. Quizá le sobran algunas páginas y puede ser un poco repetitivo en la parte central, pero la sucesión de giros finales lo compensa.

Mucho que decir sobre este libro, pero voy a comenzar con los comentarios finales (agradecimientos) de José Carlos Somoza, sobre cuando su padre le da un libro de regalo y le dice “leelo” y ese libro fue de Arthur Conan Doyle, me fue imposible no empatizar con ese sentimiento de agradecimiento a quien sea que nos introdujera en este maravilloso mundo de la literatura, y el autor toma ese sentimiento como inspiración para escribir este libro y cabe decir que el resultado fue mágico.
Ahora, inspirarse en cualquier personaje de la literatura es fácil y conste que lo digo con mucho respeto, no soy escritora y nunca lo seré, pero desde mi barrera digo que es fácil porque tomar es inspiración es sencillo ya que crecemos amando a ciertos personajes, sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que todos los escritores que lo hacen puedan lograr del todo tener la creatividad suficiente para hacerle justicia a ese personaje entrañable.
Lo que digo es que hay muchos escritores, benditos ellos, que tienen la gran capacidad para honrar a esos personajes y tomarlos como inspiración para crear una historia, solo que, como en todos casos, escritores hay a montones, buenos escritores hay muchos, pero extraordinarios escritores, hay muchos menos.
Ya había leído antes a Somoza y desde el primer libro que leí de él “Clara en la penumbra” ya encontré a un autor diferente, no solo es la imaginación si no la enorme capacidad creativa y original que tiene este autor lo que me encantó.
Me parece que inspirarse en Conan Doyle o en Sherlok Holmes no tan dificil, pero utilizar esa inspiración para crear algo diferente, sobresaliente y original, pues ya no es tan fácil.
Este libro me ha encantado, no es solo esa prosa y el estilo narrativo de Somoza, que ya es maravilloso, fue encontrarme personajes con tanta profundidad como Anne McGarey, realmente he amado a este personaje, pero ella no habría podido llegarme tan hondo sin que hubiera existido el señor X, otro gran personaje, pareciera que fue el señor X quien ayuda a Anne, pero es que ha sido beneficioso para ambos esa interacción, se ven, realmente se ven uno a otro y eso me ha conmovido mucho.
Hablando de prosa y estilo narrativo, este autor siempre me sorprende, puede ser fácil leerlo pero tiene mucha pulcritud, puede sin mucho esfuerzo llevarte a esos momentos y escenarios donde está ubicada la obra, hay una escena muy particular en el teatro donde Anne comienza a ver a una chica en el escenario, no voy a hacer spoiler y contar la escena, solo decir que pude sentir cada sentimiento descrito y fue perturbador y a eso es a lo que me refiero con su prosa y su estilo narrativo, escribir bonito, pues eso está bien, transmitir lo que se lee, eso no me pasa todos los días y solo por eso ya le he puesto un sobresaliente a este escritor.
La parte investigativa de este libro, pues si, bastante inspirada en los clásicos policíacos, sobre todo, obviamente, en el gran Conan Doyle, me parece que la premisa que utiliza Somoza del nacimiento del gran Sherlok es increíblemente imaginativa y creativa, ha logrado realmente hacer un homenaje tanto al autor como al personaje y eso no puedo más que agradecerlo como lectora.
Mención honorífica para José Carlos Somoza, que más allá de ser bueno escribiendo le tira un poquito más al hilo para entregar algo creativo y original.

Υπέροχα γραμμένο! Ο Σομόθα χτίζει ένα σύμπαν τόσο αληθοφανές, που σε κάνει να δέχεσαι de facto ότι η ιστορία του αγαπημένου Σέρλοκ Χολμς ξεκίνησε έτσι ακριβώς όπως τα περιγράφει, χωρίς την παραμικρή διαφοροποίηση. Εξαιρετικός για μια φορά ακόμα ο Σομόθα!

Ολοκληρώνοντας και το τελευταίο βιβλίο που μου είχε μείνει από τον Σόμοθα μου αφήνει και αυτό την αίσθηση πως διαβάζω κάποιον άλλον συγγραφέα. Δεν ξέρω πώς το καταφέρνει να γράφει με διαφορετικό τρόπο, ύφος και να. διαχειρίζεται διαφορετικά την υπόθεση αλλά με εκπλήσσει κάθε φορά.
Δεν είναι από τα αγαπημένα μου το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο αλλά αξίζει να διαβαστεί και αυτό.
Μακάρι να εκδώσει και κάποιο ακόμη διαφορετικά με βλέπω να τα ξανά διαβάζω όλα από την αρχή.
Δεν είναι από τα αγαπημένα μου το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο αλλά αξίζει να διαβαστεί και αυτό.
Μακάρι να εκδώσει και κάποιο ακόμη διαφορετικά με βλέπω να τα ξανά διαβάζω όλα από την αρχή.

Макар да имам лек проблем със самата механика на убийствата (уви, не мога да навляза в конкретика, защото ще е гигантски спойлер), свалям шапка на Сомоса. Демонстрира изключителна ерудиция и красив език в този майсторски структуриран роман, колкото криминален като фабула, толкова и хитроумна мистификация за раждането на един от най-известните литературни детективи.
Викторианска Англия, престъпления, съизмерими с подвизите на Джак Изкормвача (тук обаче жертвите са просяци), корава медицинска сестра, водеща разказа от първо лице… какво повече може да желае любителят на остри сюжети. 4,5/5
Имам вроден страх от полицията, по-голям отколкото от злосторниците, защото, когато се касае за вторите, винаги съществува възможност да се прибегне до полицията. Казано другояче, пред злото ми остава утехата, че доброто ще ме защити, но кой може да ме защити от доброто?
Викторианска Англия, престъпления, съизмерими с подвизите на Джак Изкормвача (тук обаче жертвите са просяци), корава медицинска сестра, водеща разказа от първо лице… какво повече може да желае любителят на остри сюжети. 4,5/5

No sé si es que yo tenía las expectativas demasiado altas con este libro pero no me ha gustado tanto como a varias amigas con las cuales lo he leido conjuntamente.
Para empezar,al principio el libro me gustaba, pero a partir de cierto punto se me empezo a hacer algo lento en algunos momentos, la trama es demasiado liosa y no me ha gustado nada el personaje de Anne.
Lo mejor del libro, el homenaje que Somoza le hace en este libro a Arthur Conan Doyle y al protagonista de sus novelas Sherlock Holmes.
Para empezar,al principio el libro me gustaba, pero a partir de cierto punto se me empezo a hacer algo lento en algunos momentos, la trama es demasiado liosa y no me ha gustado nada el personaje de Anne.
Lo mejor del libro, el homenaje que Somoza le hace en este libro a Arthur Conan Doyle y al protagonista de sus novelas Sherlock Holmes.

كل شيء كان مثاليا تقريبا، لم أكن لأتوقع النهاية بتاتا من كل الجوانب لقد ضرب جميع الأفكار التي تصورتها عرض الحائط. كانت هذه أول تجربة لي مع سوموثا، ولا أبالغ إن قلت أنه من أفضل كتّاب الجريمة في عصرنا الحالي.
أعادنا خوسيه إلى العصر الفيكتوري مشيرا إلى دور المسرح وتأثيره في المجتع البريطاني (كالإعلام حاليا) خلال القرن 19، بفقره، بممثليه (كان أغلبهم من المشردين وليسوا من الانجليز)، عطفه وسوداويته حيث كان علي أن أقرأ الفقرة مرة ومرتين حتى أستطيع أن أستوعب رسالته. هذا وكان إشراك كل من كونان دويل وشيرلوك هولمز إلى الرواية كإضافة الملح على عمل مكتمل مسبقا.

Iba con las expectativas muy altas con este libro... había visto muy buenas opiniones y quizá por ello me haya llevado un pequeño chasco, pero aun así, es un libro que recomiendo y que para nada ha sido un mal libro!
Esta novela esta ambientada en 1882.Annie regresa a su ciudad natal para trabajar en la residencia privada de salud mental para caballeros ricos. En Clarendon House se le asigna un puesto de enfermera para cuidar del Señor X, un excéntrico hombre con una capacidad intelectual para averiguar cosas en otros.
Pronto comienza a cambiar la historia ya que aparece un cadaver en la arena cerca de la residencia donde trabaja Annie. Con la ayuda del doctor Arthur Conan Doyle, el Señor X y Anne se ven envueltos en la búsqueda del asesino.
Anne McCarey es la protagonista y narradora de esta novela que está escrita en primera persona, como una crónica. Anne va a ser el eje principal de la narración. Además, según la historia este narrador tiene una forma de expresarse concreta, según su edad, su carácter, su personalidad, su formación, su estatus social y su rol.
El férreo Señor X con una perspicacia rozando lo sobrenatural, sus especiales cualidades, su ausencia de nombre y sus excéntricas manías hacen las delicias de esta novela. La tensa relación que mantiene con su cuidadora, Anne, y su lucha por conocer los secretos ocultos de la vida del Señor X, forman una trama especial y distinta, con diálogos mordaces y situaciones extravagantes que te sacan una sonrisa.
Por otro lado, Arthur Conan Doyle, un doctor y un personaje importante en el relato. El misterio une a los tres protagonistas pues se enfrentan a un asesino peculiar y conforman el comienzo del personaje de Sherlock Holmes. Aquí se fragua la figura del detective más famoso del mundo y seremos testigos de las conexiones entre el célebre personaje y su prehistoria.
El autor, realiza una recreación de la historia y crítica del teatro comedia del siglo XIX, asique si te gusta el teatro, este libro es perfecto para ti... Este autor te hace sentir mil cosas en esta historia, me ha hecho sentir lastima, impotencia, alegría, desconsuelo... muchas inquietudes...

Somoza siempre es original y sus novelas se leen con avidez. Sabe enganchar y crear tramas extrañas, diferentes. En este caso, los fans de Sherlock Holmes sabrán apreciar muchos detalles que quizá a mí se me hayan escapado, aunque hay bastantes referencias famosas al inmortal personaje.

El mejor homenaje a Sherlock Holmes y Arthur Conan Doyle que he leído, gran ambientación, grandes personajes y un final trepidante y lleno de sorpresas. Esta es la tercera novela de José Carlos Somoza que leo y creo que es un gran escritor, espero ir leyendo poco a poco todos sus libros.

Misteris X ir iš tiesų – ne pats mieliausias pacientas. Metęs į tave vieną vienintelį žvilgsnį (oi, čia dar daug galima būtų pridurti, bet stengiuosi gi nespoilint), jis papasakos tau apie tave tai, ko nežino niekas. Ką slepi giliai giliai. Mažiausios smulkmenos suguls į logišką grandinėlę. Bet tik tada, kai jis tai paaiškins. Dar – jis groja įsivaizduojamu smuiku ir sykis nuo sykio eina paieškoti informacijos į savo Krištolo rūmus – t.y. į tai, kas nugulę jo atminty.
Jau kažką miglotai įtariate? Tai gerai. Nes netrukus į kliniką apžiūrėti misterio X akių atvyksta jaunas gydytojas. Tik pradedantis savo praktiką daktaras Arturas Conan Doyle‘is. Na, o kai mūsų trijulė jau susitiko (pseudo-Holmsas, pseudo-Vatsonas ir istoriją pasakojanti pseudo-Hadson) bereikia tik nusikaltimo, kurį jie bendrom jėgom pultų tirti. Toli ieškot nereikia – kažkas žudo miesto vargetas. Ir braižas aiškiai byloja – žudikas vienas ir tas pats.
Ilgai svarsčiau ar dėti šitą knygą į įsivaizduojamą lentynėlę, kurią aš pakrikštijau „šerlokiana“. Ten nugula įvairiausio plauko Holmso nuotykių tęsiniai. Formaliai – Holmso čia nėra. Bet. Novela policíaca entre lo clásico y lo negro. Como es habitual en Somoza, dentro de un mundo inquietantemente suyo, donde las reglas son algo distintas. Vuelve a viejas obsesiones, como el teatro, que tan caras le fueron en sus primeras obras.
Es interesante y mantiene el ritmo, pero está muy lejos de obras mucho mejores de este autor como Clara y la penumbra. En cualquier caso, mejora sus obras recientes.
Recomendable para seguidores del autor y adictos al género.

Είναι το πέμπτο βιβλίο του συγγραφέα που διαβάζω και μου άρεσε πάρα πολύ!
Όπως τα περισσότερα έχει ως κεντρικό θέμα μία τέχνη, το θέατρο στην προκειμένη. Ναι είναι μία προϊστορία του Sherlock Holmes, από αυτή την άποψη είναι αστυνομικό. Είναι και μία θεατρική παράσταση. Είναι μία ψευδαίσθηση. Είναι εποχής (διαδραματίζεται στη βικτωριανή Αγγλία). Και έχει τη σφραγίδα ενός από τους καλύτερους εν ζωή συγγραφείς, του Somoza.
Δεν είναι ίσως το πιο σπουδαίο από τα έργα του συγγραφέα, όμως παίρνει τα 5 αστέρια με μεγάλη ευκολία, αφού προσφέρει ειλικρινή ψυχαγωγία. Εκτός του μυστηρίου που βρίσκεται στο προσκήνιο, πίσω από τις θεατρικές κουίντες διακρίνει κανείς μια δεξιοτεχνικά στημένη ιστορία, χαρακτήρες πολυδιάστατους και ουσιαστικά καλογραμμένους. Όπως και όλο το βιβλίο.
Είναι επίσης σπάνιο ένας άντρας συγγραφέας να γράφει σε πρωτορόσωπη αφήγηση, πρωταγωνίστρια γυναίκα, η οποία να μοιάζει αληθινή. Όχι μία καρικατούρα όπως πολλοί ενδεχομένως μας έχουν στο μυαλό τους. Εδώ φυσικά πρόκειται για μια ιστορία που διαδραματίζεται το 1883, οπότε αρκετά από τα στερεότυπα δυστυχώς τότε ακόμα ίσχυαν. Παρόλα αυτά, ακόμα και έτσι, η πρωταγωνίστρια, όταν τη γδύσουμε από τα κοινωνικά πρότυπα που της έχει φορτώσει η εποχή, είναι κύριως ανθρώπινη στον χαρακτήρα.
Να το διαβάσετε ειδικά αν έχετε αγαπήσει τον συγγραφέα από τα βιβλία όπως το σπήλαιο των ιδεών και η Κλάρα στο μισοσκόταδο. Δεν είναι τόσο αριστουργηματικό, αλλά σίγουρα αξίζει τον χρόνο σας και με το παραπάνω.

Ότι χρειάζεται μόνο ένα ξύλο βαμμένο ή μία χειρονομία για να... για να αναδυθεί το θαύμα.
Δεν είναι ίσως το πιο σπουδαίο από τα έργα του συγγραφέα, όμως παίρνει τα 5 αστέρια με μεγάλη ευκολία, αφού προσφέρει ειλικρινή ψυχαγωγία. Με άλλα λόγια απέναντι στο κακό μού μένει ακόμα η παρηγοριά ότι θα με προστατέψει το καλό, αλλά ποιος μπορεί να με προστατέψει από το καλό;

Να το διαβάσετε ειδικά αν έχετε αγαπήσει τον συγγραφέα από τα βιβλία όπως το σπήλαιο των ιδεών και η Κλάρα στο μισοσκόταδο. Δεν είναι τόσο αριστουργηματικό, αλλά σίγουρα αξίζει τον χρόνο σας και με το παραπάνω.

As this criticism is very large it is divided into two parts. One proper dedicated to the novel and another dedicated to my future plans, as I decided to read this work of Somoza, and how I come to my knowledge, and my impressions about Sherlock Holmes. I hope I didn't bore you, and enjoy it. The game begins.

Cosa. Ho. Appena. Letto.
Un libro pieno di colpi di scena, un giallo a tratti assurdo (effettivamente ha qualche elemento che sfocia un filo nel fantastico, a mio avviso), però in linea perfetta con Sherlock Holmes, a cui effettivamente vuole accostarsi.
Non so se questa genesi del personaggio mi sia effettivamente piaciuta però, forse avrei apprezzato di più la storia se fosse stata completamente a sè, però in effetti i riferimenti sarebbero comunque stati troppo evidenti, dunque in fondo penso che sia stata una decisione azzeccata.
Ero molto indecisa se dare tre o quattro stelle perché l’irrealtà - a tratti - del racconto e l’accostamento a Sherlock non mi hanno in realtà fatto impazzire, però alla fine sono stata generosa perché i colpi di scena sono veramente disarmanti e mozzafiato.
Sono contenta di essermi fatta attrarre dall’accattivante titolo ‘Uno studio in nero’ e di averlo acquistato alla fiera ‘Più libri, più liberi’ quest’anno.

بتوصل المصحة وبتتعرف علي السيد اكس الي ليه تفاصيل شخصية غريبة عن اي نزيل في المصحة ، الغرفة مظلمة علي طول ، الستائر مغلقة ، وبتستمر الاحداث مابينهم لحد مابتعرف انه عنده مشكلة في عينه فبتطلب من مدير المصحة انه يستدعي دكتور يكشف علي عينه .
بيبدا ظهور دكتور دويل وهو دكتور وكاتب وفيه ربط بنفس اسم مؤلف روايات شيرلوك هولمز والدكتور ده بيكون بيكتب رواية وبيدور علي الهام لشخصية المحقق شارلوك هولمز الي موجودة في روايته وبيعجب جدا بالسيد اكس وبتفاصيل شخصيته وذكاءه العالي.
لحد هنا وكل الاحداث ماشيه عادي جدا وتبان رواية عادية
الا ان تحدث جرمية قتل لمتسول علي الشاطئ القريب من المصحة.
بنعرف انه اتوفي بنفس تفاصيل الجريمة الي اتقتل بيها متسول الاسبوع الي فات بنفس الطريقة
وبيحاول التلات شخصيات انهم يعرفوا مين القاتل المتسلسل ده

Admito que es ver "Sherlock Holmes" en una sinopsis y ya se me nubla la vista y no soy capaz de leer nada más. Quizás por eso con estas novelas no tengo ninguna expectativa, porque he descubierto maravillas y bodrios a partes iguales así que simplemente me dejó llevar.
El camino por el que me ha llevado este "Estudio en negro" me ha sorprendido mucho, y siempre para bien. Incluso el final está a la altura, algo que veía muy complicado.

Ήμουν έτοιμη να βάλω 4 αστεράκια γιατί σε ορισμένα σημεία η σχεδόν παντελής έλλειψη αυτοεκτίμηση και η "κλαψα" της πρωταγωνίστριας μου την έδινε στα νεύρα. Αλλά....
Αλλά οι τελευταίες 150-180 σελίδες με αποζημίωσαν τόσο που χαλάλι του το 5αρι! Το απόλαυσα και χαίρομαι που ήταν αυτό το πρώτο βιβλίο του έτους...!

3.5-4; Δηλώνω μπερδεμένη καθώς υπήρχαν αρκετά σημεία που «βαριόμουν» όμως τις τελευταίες σελίδες τις διάβασα μονοκοπανιά και μου άρεσαν πολύ🖤 Είχε και κάποια τουιστ που δεν περιμενα με τιποτα. Πολυ ιδιαίτερο βιβλίο και αδιαμφισβήτητα καλογραμμένο & έξυπνο!

Una historia original que nos sitúa a finales del siglo XIX, donde en una residencia de reposo mental conocemos al misterioso Señor "X", un personaje peculiar del que sabemos casi nada, salvo que posee un poder de intuición y percepción para ver mas allá de lo visiblemente aparente, el junto a su nueva enfermera y su reciente amigo el Dr. Doyle tratarán de encontrar la respuesta a una serie de asesinatos de mendigos no resueltos.
Si te gusta Sherlock Holmes, esta novela presenta un tipo crossover donde hipotéticamente plantea los orígenes inspiracionales de tan querido detective, me pareció ingenioso.
