♥ Kara ♥ The first time I met River, I thought he was a jerk. A big, gorgeous jerk with bad manners and an even worse attitude. He stomped into my life like a bull with its tail on fire. But, try as I might, I couldn’t deny the attraction I felt.
Then, as I got to know him better, I realized I was wrong. River’s not a jerk. He’s just selective about who he cares for. He’s the kind of man who’d do anything for the people he loves. Even if it means putting his life in danger.

♥ The MOUNTAIN ALPHAS series are short, sweet, and steamy standalone romance stories featuring curvy BBW women, and hot alpha mountain men. Perfect for a pick-me-up during your day or just before bed ♥ ♥ No cheating ♥ ♥ No cliffhangers ♥ ♥ HEA guaranteed ♥

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
River is the fourth book in the ‘’mountain alpha’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Kara is in trouble with a loan shark. Whilst caring for her ill patient, she meets her son. River is attracted to Kara but will he get a chance after the way they first met?
The chemistry between River and Kara is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

Kara is the at-home nurse for Lily, who is living with cancer and becoming frail. Her son, River, comes back home and sees Kara, misunderstands what is happening and causes problems. His mother clears it all up and as the week progresses, River and Kara secretly start to have feelings and dreams for each other. When the matchmaker mom gets involved, things ignite.
The characters are well written, with intense feelings and emotions, protectiveness and strength. The storyline is quick but greatly detailed to get right to your heart. Loved their romance and especially the ending.

A touching story

This story starts out with the love between mother and son. River's mother required home nursing assistance and she hired Kara. River and Kara actually meet when she was being hit up by her loan shark. River though he was her boyfriend and fired her which his mother vetoed. His mother knew he was developing feelings for Kara and she gave him a strong talking to. Read what happens when River meets up with the loan shark again. Guess you have to make up your mind what happens. It's a good love story though and I think you will enjoy it.

River and Kara have a wonderful story in this book. River is a beast of a mountain man and Kara is his mother’s curvy nurse. They start off on the wrong foot when River finds her in Ana argument with a loan shark and thinks it’s her boyfriends. The more time they spend together they more the attraction between them grows. I especially liked the ending and the extra chapter that’s available by email. They really add sweet and steamy moments to this story.

Another great addition to the series. The author does a fantastic job building the story, bringing strong well-developed characters and describes them perfectly. She brings the story to life with her vividly detailed scenes and keeps you reading to the end with all the action, twists, turns, and emotions flowing throughout. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one. Highly recommend.

The author has given us a fast paced, quick read that pulls us into the lives of River and Kara and does not let go. Kara is the home care nurse taking care of his mother when River returns to his childhood home. They have a connection but he is afraid of making her uncomfortable if he makes his move. But, how can he keep his hands to himself when they live in the same house?

This was an over the top fast paced read. Kara was independent and wanted to look after her own problems. River was getting used to his mom’s illness so his over protective instincts roared to life when he met Kara. They had an instantaneous chemistry that only got hotter the more time they spent together. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
