Devil, my beast of a man, seduces me into eloping, then kidnaps me for a honeymoon in Christmastown, Vermont.
A lot of men would be furious. I simply planned revenge involving handcuffs.
My annoyance doesn’t last long. Devil rents my dream cottage and manages to draw me out of my Scrooge-like ways. But I’ve been keeping a secret, and it follows me all the way to Christmastown.
Can Devil and I enjoy each other, find our Christmas spirit, and keep ourselves safe from a vicious killer?
This is a sequel to Devil (The Marchesi Family 3) and is best enjoyed after that story.

they are wild but who wouldn't love them for it. i am bummed that joe kept the secret for so long, but this novella was great, it was like an extended epilogue from the last book.
i am going to miss these guys! now time to search for another book... ugh haha
This was a pretty decent read. I really do like Joe and Devil. These two make a great couple. I wasn't sure what to expect in this one but I wasn't surprised there was some sort of case going on with Joe.
While this one focused mainly on Joe and Devil, we do get to see the rest of the crew too.
This shortish holiday story is mostly Devil and Joe getting busy, which is fine with me because Silvia Violet can write as of hot sex scenes as anyone in the genre. There's a bit of excitement, too, with an escaped killer. It's just the right amount for this length book. I loved seeing some of the Marchesis again. I think Devil is probably my favorite of them all, though. He and Joe are so growly and possessive of each other. I just love this series!
I’m not a fan of continuing with an established couple. But this was great for what it was. The usual balance of action and danger with lots of seggsy time.
I just love how crazy intense Devil and Joe are together. These two give as good as they take and I love that they know when to let the other lead or when they need to take charge of things. They fiercely love one another and I think they are my favorite couple of the Marchesi books/verse so far.
Definitely need to have read the previous books first for this one. I kinda jumped to this without having read the first spin-off, so there were characters from those stories that popped up in here, too.
Really, it's sexy times with Devil and Joe, holiday fun times, some bad guys and danger, and more sexyhotfuntimes. And I really enjoyed this one!
I adored every moment of this follow up to Devil, these two are favourites of mine so I loved getting to see more of them.
Joe and Devil are stunning together, the heat and passion. Their banter and love/hate is beautiful as always. I just enjoy the relationship so much and how they fit together, both are fans of rough love and the push/pull between them constantly is so much fun.
Great to see them get the better of each other at times and lovely balance, constantly protective of one another. The communication is crazy, but it works with how they feel and wanting to help each other.
Steam is wonderful! Very fitting to them and always entertaining. The proposal and marriage were incredible, also fascinating plot with some action scenes and a killer.
Overall a hilarious, festive and heated story with interesting plot. Lovely look at the future for Devil and Joe! Happy ending guarantee 💕
Silvia Violet’s A Devilish Christmas gives us an opportunity to visit with mafia man Devil Marchesi and his ex-cop boyfriend Joe in a holiday story that shows their relationship after the HEA in Devil. This novella is set in Ms. Violet’s Marchesi Universe and is written with the same tenor and style. The story has a lot of humor and is spicy, sweet, and sexy, plus we get some action too. It’s the mix of elements we’ve come to expect from Ms. Violet’s stories. However, it’s tempered here by the Christmas theme and the family’s rejoicing over Devil and Joe’s wedding with all of the attendant Marchesi family craziness. We also get to revisit these other family members, like Angelo and Lucien, and all of their snarky banter and lunacy. It’s crazy, often chaotic, and always funny.
We get to see more of Devil and Joe’s relationship in this story, which pleases me because they were hands-down my favorite Marchesi couple. It was nice to see their dynamic and their emotional connection as strong as ever. I loved the clever juxtaposition of Devil, the tough, intimidating, mafia gangster with the cheeriness and, dare I say, softness, of a Christmas elf spreading (or at least trying to) joy and unadulterated happiness.
However, some things remain consistently true throughout Ms. Violet’s stories in this universe. The Marchesi interpretation of happiness and joy always includes some bad guy vanquishment, and not even a wedding or honeymoon are exempt. Additionally, as usual, we get Marchesi (or in the spinoff stories, Vigilance and Theriot) macho proclamations about possession over their lovers. In fact, the first thing Devil says to Joe after they’re married is, “I own you completely now.” Ownership, possession, and control are the relationship linchpins for all of these mobsters/vigilantes.
If you’ve enjoyed the other stories in this universe, A Devilish Christmas is a must-read. It’s highly enjoyable, engaging, low-angst, mafia-style love and adventure dressed up in holiday trappings.
If you haven’t read the books in this shared world by Silvia Violet you are really missing out. Besides the Marchesi family series, there is also the Vigilance series and the Theriot family series. All of them are a great glance of action, heat, humor and romance. A Devilish Christmas fits in perfectly.
Devil & Joe could never have a normal wedding, or a normal honeymoon. They both like danger, and a little playful fighting too much. Even though Devil tried to plan a romantic honeymoon Joe’s work followed him there. Neither Joe or Devil wants the other in danger but also neither one is going to step down from a fight.
I loved this book so much and will definitely read it again when I’m rereading the series.
The only part that sort of took me out of the book was how the man after Joe found them on there honeymoon. He was already at the cabin when they arrived but how did he know where they were going? It was a quickly planned honeymoon that Devil surprised Joe with, so it didn’t make sense that the serial killer knew where they were going. It’s never explained of he followed them, some how found out where they were going and left before them to get there, or if he just happened to be there. If shouldn’t matter so much but it does. Unanswered plot points like that really stick with me, and I find it a little frustrating no answer was given.
I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.
This is a sequel to Devil, the novel in which Joe and Devil first fall in love, and if you haven’t yet read it, it’s full of heat and totally unhinged-- just like its namesake. In this story, the saga continues, as the former cop and his chaos-incarnate boyfriend get hitched, go on a kidnapping...err...honeymoon to an idyllic little Christmas-themed town in Vermont, deal with a serial-killer stalker, and have plenty of mind-bendingly hot personal time. Devil and Joe are both great characters individually, and together they’re pure magic-- I like the dynamic between them, how they share a love for danger and each other that makes sense only to them, and that the balance of power between them is always shifting but the connection that binds them is constant. They’d die for each other, they’d kill for each other, they’d wear stupid santa hats and decorate trees for each other. This is exactly the happily-ever-after they both deserve: totally hot, totally sweet, a little bit dangerous, a little bit deranged. Well worth a read.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So it’s been a minute since I was immersed into the The Marchesi Family world so I had to go back and reread the first book where we first see this couple & I have to say I wasn’t disappointed! I was happy to go back and get myself reacquainted with these characters & the crazy shit that happens in these books and Devilish Christmas was not any different.
I loved coming back to them and this story warmed my heart.
A serial killer had made it personal with Joe and he decided not to tell Devil while they were on “vacation” and one of my favorite scenes happens when Devil finds out he’s been keeping this from him this whole time & it was lit. 🔥😉😜 lol
If I could give this book a 10 I would. Definitely a five star ⭐️ rating!
Devil seduces Joe into eloping and then sick of him working so hard kidnaps him so that they can have a honeymoon in Christmastown, Vermont. Joe plots his revenge using handcuffs on his husband. Devil has rented Joe's dream cottage but he still has to admit that he was keeping a secret involving a case and it has followed him all of the way there. Can they enjoy each other, find their Christmas spirit and stay safe from a vicious killer?
This was a story that started with good intentions but ended with violence and gratitude to have good friends and still be alive. I loved that they still had special moments and that they did still have a honeymoon of sorts. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
** Please note that this is a sequel to Devil (The Marchesi Family 3) and is best enjoyed after that story.
It was so exciting to read more of Joe and Devil. I loved their sense of humour and the way they showed their care and love. It was awesome to see more of the Marchesi family and how they celebrate happy moments. I loved how they united their destinies, how the family reacted and also how they get to go in their honeymoon. As always danger follows them so a little adrenaline and action is added to their special time. Their fiends and family helps them in their time of need and all is well. I liked how they demonstrate their love and how they manage to get time together even when the danger is high or lives are threatened. I loved the story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
Oh I just loved getting more Joe and Devil! As I’ve been reading the series, and the spin off series, I was dying to know how Joe and Devil came to be married! All the questions on that, and their honeymoon, were answered with this one! It was fantastic revisiting the Marchesi family and their celebration of Joe and Devil! It wouldn’t be a Marchesi family story if there wasn’t someone out for blood, and their honeymoon didn’t stop someone from trying! As we know, where there is one Marchesi, there’s more! Despite the danger Joe and Devil found themselves in, I loved how they connected as well. Devil’s growly dominance was as present as ever, and holy hotness these two really know how to steam up the pages! This was a sexy AF and fun read!
This book is amazing. It’s time for another chapter in the saga of the Marchesi family and this time it’s Devil and Joe’s story! Devil is a Marchesi and Joe is an ex cop. The two have incredible chemistry from the very beginning. Devil gets Joe to marry him and they are off on an adventure that is full of love, Christmassy things and danger. Devil doesn’t know Joe is in danger from someone in his past. Joe’s past will catch up to him while they spend time in a cabin in Vermont. It will prove to be a bit dangerous but in the end, the threat will be dealt with and Devil and Joe will get to continue with their wonderful honeymoon trip.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
I love the Marchesi family stories, so I was looking forward to the Christmas edition, which is about Devil and Joe. These two are my favorite characters in the series and the book has everything a reader's heart desires: sexy bad boys who are also incredibly cute, hot scenes, wedding bells, alpha males, protectiveness, adventure, humor and action. If you know the series, this short story is a must read. I read through the book in one go. I liked the chemistry between Joe and Devil, plus their emotions were very realistic. In addition, the story was suspenseful as far as the threat from Joe's past. Overall, A Devilish Christmas is entertaining and captivating wrapped in a Christmas outfit. I received an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
Devil is a member of the Marchesi family who has found his true love in a cop named Joe. Now that they are together, Joe has left the force because of his connection to Devil but he is still involved in investigations. Joe has been busy trying to catch an escaped serial killer and keeping the fact that the killer has been threatening him from Devil. Devil has been working on some secrets of his own. He surprises Joe with a proposal in the middle of a passionate night and then drags him to the courthouse the next morning for the wedding. A few weeks later, Devil has their surprise honeymoon all planned. It features lots of Christmas activities that Devil really loves. Joe is helpless to deny his Devil his surprise.
This story was unnecessary and didn’t add anything to the series. Read Devil’s book, book 3, before this. Admittedly book 3 is better than book 1, fyi. This story was lacking in story. The sex scenes become redundant and unbearable because the story is so lacking in plot. The family info and life updates at beginning of the story should have been an extra epilogue for book 3 and this not exist. At some point I was bored with everything presented here and started skimming and skipping just to get to an end. I have the Mob Boss story to read and the Vigilance series, but after this I may have hit my max and need a break from this author. FWIW I skipped Angelo’s book because it sounded boring and I didn’t care about him. He is equally boring in this.
I’ve missed Devil and Joe, they’re my fav couple in this series. “I loved him in a way I’d never known existed before we’d met.” I love their sexy competitions, nngh…so freaking sexy, their snarky sparring, and most of all how completely and totally they love each other. I mean, these two love hard, pun intended, but even when they’re both being so stubborn you want to shake them, their absolute love for one another rings true. They’re an amazing pair. If you’re a fan of the Marchesis and looking for an action-filled, lava-level hot, devilishly delightful read, these two have you covered.
Well holy hotness ya’ll!! If you’ve ever said to yourself “I wish I could get some more sexy times with Joe and Devil”, then look no further reader! Devil and Joe are two of my favorites from the Marchesi series and this one took their sexy times to the next heat level!! I loved the dominance Devil tried to pull on Joe, and when Joe let him get away with it…until he didn’t! I loved their dynamic, their chemistry and how they handled the latest case thrown their way. This was a great accompaniment to the Marchesi series and I’m eager to snag this in audio as well!
Well, when reading this I had no doubt it was another Devil Marchesi story. The man just commands the page, and I felt similar to Joe, like I was being dragged around without even knowing what was going on. But, Devil does what he wants, and he gets what he wants. And what he wants is to marry the love of his life. So… he does, giving Joe no chance to say no (like he would, anyway). Then comes a stolen honeymoon, full of deliciously steamy and kinky moments, all the sappy Christmassy feels, and just a touch of danger. It was so much fun revisiting the Marchesi family, and I’m extremely glad we got this look at after the HEAs!
This short but highly entertaining MM romance drew me in from the first page and kept me quite captivated until the end. The characters (Joe) & (Devil) have excellent chemistry between them & portray realistic emotional feelings throughout a very interesting plot. There is: adventure, action, drama, intrigue, humour, unexpected surprises, discipline, spankings, danger, protectiveness, decisions, determination, love, steamy scenes & a delightfully, sweet happy ending. I would recommend this MM romance to people who like to read this genre & look forward to future MM romances from this author.
I absolutely adore this family! Devil and Joe are two of my favorites. I love Christmas with the Marchesi. There is definitely all the fun and shenanigans that you would expect from a Silvia Violet book. The world that this author has created is amazing. This was a nice sweet Christmas tale with a touch of Devil. Devil was always my favorite and to get another book about him and Joe was just amazing. In this book we see Devil and Joe get married but it wouldn't be a wedding without something going awry and bullets flying. I definitely recommend this book! I hope we see more of this family in the future.
I won't go over the blurb as you can read in the description. 🧐🤔 Who doesn't love an MM Mafia series. 📚 Book 4 😍 Devil & Joes 🎄 Christmas story was fast-paced, full of spice & action 🔥 it was nice seeing these two complicated guys find their happy ending. 😊 Thank you, Silivia Violet 💐 Narrator Michael Dean brilliant narration.Thank you🎧 Story 📚📚📚📚 Characters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Narration 👄 👄 👄 👄 #ADevilishChristmas #TheMarchesiFamilySeries #SilviaViolet #Narrator #MichaelDean #DevilAndJoe #Mafia #MM #Action #Angst #Adult #GreatStart #Audiobooks
I love this crazy family and their significant others. I'm not surprised that Devil and Joe's wedding day and night as well as their honeymoon was as untraditional as the couple themselves.
It was super sweet that the badass mobster is a Christmas freak.
The brothers and cousin haven't changed. Teey are still as argumentative and loyal as ever.
A funny, dramatic and sexy Christmas story that fits Devil and Joe perfectly. A splash of danger and a lot of love make this a must read for fan of this series.
Devil is all about Christmas! I adored Devil and Joe! So excited to be back in this world that the author created. Devil and Joe get married then Devil kidnaps Joe to go on a honeymoon. Of course there is danger and a little bit of action that follows them. I love the humor and steam that these two give off the pages. Loved the snarky steamy times. Overall this was well written, definitely recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
Kind of OTT with the attitude Devil has towards everything, but I enjoyed it. The Marchesi’s are the best written books in these series and have the best characters. I like Joe and the equal relationship between him and Devil. I got teary eyed at the wedding toast, which surprised me, and it was sad later in the book about the boy, so, there are some feels in the book, amongst the 24/7 banging between Joe and Devil. I wish the Marchesi covers had better looking guys. I picture Devil as much more handsome. They should all look smoothly sexy like the Lucien book cover.
Christmas and a wedding with the Marchesi's....Need I say more ❤️ As always Silvia Violet did her thing, Devil and Joe together...they are an inferno 🔥🔥🔥 hot, hot, hot...their possessiveness and how they love so strongly.... gahhh... this book was the perfect mix of sexy, sweet, humor and grit, everything else we've come to expect from this family!!! I highly recommend it...especially for fans of this series, it's a must read.
