I'm only starting this book because

2. To find out how someone with a great husband gets a book with another man
“If you would have answered any of our letters or phone calls, you would know that, you dipshit,”
Funny because only one of them sent a letter and it wasn't to tell him he had a kid. Proofreaders would help with inconsistenties
“Well, if it wasn’t Benny who shot Kurt and someone else is involved, then we’ve gathered the entire Hightower family together in one place. Seems a good time to hit them all at once and get it over with if you ask me.”
Like at the family dinner the night before? Or earlier at the hospital? Lol. Hello....... proofreaders needed
No matter who's POV we get, Sage's name is said to announce she enters a scene and then for the rest of the scene they refer to her as the redhead. Even tho Cynthia is also a redhead
“I just want to get to know him, that’s all,” he told her. “I don’t intend on saying anything to him about being his biological father. I would love to share some stories about Kurt with him, though.”
Oh ffs!!! Bad enough lying to the kid for 13 years, they're gonna keep on lying????? Geezus

2nd chance and truth wins
I could not put this story down. This author is the best at creating male characters that just drive me insane and this story has more than one.
Gage saw something that made him walk out on the love of his life as well as his best friend. He finds out the truth years later when he becomes involved with a blackmail case involving Kurt’s family. Gage learns the truth about Cynthia and Kurt.
This story is full of mystery, excitement, secrets and suspense. I have to say Kurt’s brother Benny is just a person you want to hate. Well done R.C. Wynn. I really disliked him.
I enjoyed this read and how I couldn’t put it down. There are several different elements and this author pulled it all together to a very satisfying conclusion. Must read and look forward to more in the future!

Secrets always come back to hurt those involved. Sam and Kurt were best friends until he caught Cynthia and Kurt in bed together. He didn't even ask for details, just up and left. Now thirteen years later he understands what happened at the worst time. There's danger, suspense and family drama. Sad but happily ever after.
