Jane Eyre is one of my favourite classic novels and I have always wanted to read how the story continued, once the characters of Jane and Rochester are finally married. Now, thanks to Julia Harbour, we now no longer need to wonder what happens next! The story is told from the point of view of Adèle, Mr Rochester's ward, who has now blossomed into a lovely young woman. We learn how she navigates the rules of 'society' as an adult, finds love and adventure, and learns what it truly means to call someone 'family'.
I think the story has been written very well, in a style that fits well for a sequel to the Charlotte Brontë novel.
I am very impressed that this is a debut novel (also self published), and would like to congratulate the author on her hard work.
I am giving 5 stars for the story, however there were a few small typos or mis-spellings in the copy I have which, if cleaned up, would make this one of my favourite reads of the year so far. These small errors did not detract from my enjoyment of the book, but were just something I noticed :)

I’ve been listening to this on audible. The reader is more than irritating and has a very strange not quite correct accent. The characterisation is weak. The plot is totally superficial and it would not stand up for 10 seconds, if it did not draw quite substantially from Jane Eyre. I was prepared to give it to the benefit of the doubt, but really? A novelette of the most superficial kind. It does a terrible disservice to my favourite book.
