Write a tell-all story about him.

Turns out, Caim is nothing like I expected. He’s scorching hot, charming as hell, and more caring than he'd like everyone to think. If he was the monster I expected, writing the story would easy…but my real problem is keeping my hands to myself.

Book one of Jenna wolfhart’s demons after dark temptation trilogy. This book was amazing I loved reading this book. I love the legion characters Caim, Phenex, Valac, Bael, Stolas. This book is set after the events of the demons after dark covenant trilogy. Az and Mia don’t make an appearance but we do get to meet new characters Eva Caims love interest. I definitely recommend reading this book it was entertaining and enjoyable book to read with lots of surprising twists especially the surprising cliffhanger at the end of the book definitely can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

Az and Mia are away on the honeymoon and Caim has taken over responsibilities of the infernal club and legion business. Eva and her roommates Sarah and Anya are tired of being rejected entry to the exclusive nightclub Internal and decide to break in through an open window only to be caught by Caim. Eva and Caim share a drink and dance they have chemistry. He walks her back home and exchanges numbers. Despite her chemistry for Caim she’s not looking for a relationship. However as a lowly paid assistant at metro news she dreams of becoming a proper reporter and her boss Charlie Offers her a payrise and promotion if she agrees to do a story on Caim initially reluctant but Eva suffers from a rare bone disease her body rejects her bones the same thing killed her mother and her lastest episode lands her in hospital with a whopping medical bill to pay for so she agrees to it. Caim and the other legion members need to use Eva to get information on her boss Charlie because he’s the head of the Lilith cult that’s been causing trouble for them. She and Caim go on a date and after a misunderstanding they separate but come back together because Charlie encourages her to keep spying she does and overhears a conversation about prison cells in dungeons blackmailed by Charlie to get photos of the dungeon she ends up caught in the middle of a fight. Caim learns from Valac that there is something wrong with her something he’s never sensed before she’s dying. Caim tells her about Charlie and them being demons. Charlie sets them up and they fight off cult members and learn that they’re after the demons and can nullify their powers. Caim and Eva finally come clean with each other and end up sleeping together. They and the other legion members research and Eva comes across information in the book of Lilith that Lilith used her blood to create vampires for an army turning human into demons, but Eva learns that the cult of Lilith want to become immortal. They meet up with Charlie and Stolas gets kidnapped, Eva breaks into Charlie’s office and gets a warehouse address where they’re keeping Stolas, they go to rescue him, but again their powers are nullified by the seal or Lilith. Eva stops Charlie from finishing the ritual but the orb explodes and sends her across the room, Charlie dies and she wakes up. Charlie’s actions are exposed by members of the cult and Alanna the head boss of metro news offers her a better job. Caim leaves to get food and Eva is surprised by a woman in white who knocks her out.

~Spoilers~

Down on her look due to medical bills Eva was forced to accept finding a story about Caim. Having met him previously she was having doubts about doing this story but the bills made her say yes. Throughout this book, Eva is spying on Caim trying to find out im formation to make a viable story. However, little did she know Caim was doing the exact same thing as her. Believing she was part of the cult of Lilith, the only way to get close to her was by taking her out on ‘fake’ dates. As the story goes on the truth about one another slowly comes out and Eva’s need to find a story comes to a halt. As she learns that the cult of Lilith are the real evil ones instead of Caim, she finds out her job for finding this story was nothing but a lie.

Straight away in the first chapter when Eva decided to break in to a club just to dance i thought wow this girl is stupid. Only to feel guilty straight after when I learned about her bucket list and the reason why she has the ideology of seizing the day. I noticed quite quickly the signs of her illness when she would always want to take care of herself. This author managed to express how difficult it can be for someone living with an illness when they want to date. The how and when you tell that person about your disability can really stress the person out. This author showed that completely, as someone with a disability i found Eva’s character relatable in that way. Another thing i liked about Eva was just her persona. She often had me talking to myself, only for me to stop and think how silly that is. The fact that she didn’t want to give up is another reason why i liked her. How she went out and found a lead whilst Caim decided to shut himself off, i applaud her. It made me annoyed at him for sitting and doing nothing tho, if i was him id be searching for leads all over the place.

There were times when i liked Caim’s character too, other than that one scene. I liked how playful he was, like calling her ‘his favourite felon’ that just made me smile hard. Or how he’d come out with such funny comments like ‘you’ve fallen into dicksand’ that made me laugh. It was such a random thing to say that i couldn’t help but laugh. The fact that he somehow manages to read Eva’s mind and say out loud what she thought, also had me smiling. Overall his character was good just the odd moments where i disliked him. The one thing that made him shine out the most was when he saw her scar for the first time. That had my heart melting for sure.

Overall i enjoyed this book, i found some parts relatable, it made me laugh, it made me angry at times, made my heart melt. It was what a book is meant to be. There wasn’t many plot twists I didn’t see coming, so that was the only downfall really. Other than that i enjoyed it and will most likely be reading the second and third book too.

Overall: 2/5

Plot and themes: 3/5

Characters: 3/5

Writing style: 2/5

Attention-grabbing: 2/5

Sinful Touch is the first book in another series installment of the Demons After Dark. There's no additional reading required to be able to understand this one though. Eva wants to be a reporter but she's been stuck for six years on desk jobs. When she meets a demon one night, her boss sees it as the perfect opportunity for her promotion. Caim sees it as a great chance for some insider information on a cult designed to release some less savory demons into the world. They're both lying to one another, but can't seem to help seeing the best in each other.

My main problem was that there was nothing truly special about any of the plot lines. It's like, if I have to pick between cool powers and a good romance I should at least get one of them. Instead, I got kind of an insta-love combined with a demon whose powers were poorly defined. I didn't hate it, while reading it's interesting enough to get to the end. But it also doesn't feel like a book that could be continued to a more exciting series.

I don't know, on the spectrum of demon romances this is probably mid-tier but not special enough to be truly amazing. I would say it's not really anything that inspires frustration, just sort of ambivalence.

Excellent Beginning to a New PNR Series

Eva is a working woman at a job she doesn’t really like, working for her boss, Charlie, as an assistant. She also has a bucket list that she wrote up with her deceased mother just before her mother passed away. On this particular night Eva and her two roommates break into Infernal, an exclusive dance club that is on her bucket list. All she wants to do is dance there but the bouncers won’t let them in. Eva and the girls go around to the back where they find an open window to sneak in. Unfortunately, Caim hears them entering and grabs Eva and takes her to the bar and then for one dance before throwing her out of the club. But something has clicked between Eva and Caim and they can’t stay away from each other. Adventure ensues as they join forces to battle a demon worshipping group, the Cult of Lilith , that are going after Caim and his Legion. The story moves along at a good pace, there are plenty of twists and turns that will entertain you and there is a romance that takes off pretty quickly. This was a fun read and I’m looking forward for the next book.

Cliffhanger 💖

This was a great start to the series, I read this book in one sitting hanging on every word. It's fast paced with a smidgen of smuttiness.
When Eva and her friends snuck into Infernal she just wanted to tick off one of her bucket list numbers what she didn't expect was to catch the eye of Caim one of the city's infamous billionaire bachelors.
Eva works as a glorified assistant still chasing that dream promotion of becoming a writer, when she tells her boss she finally made it into Infernal he practically hands her the promotion on a silver platter if she does a story on Caim and what really happens in Infernal.
Caim and Eva definitely have some chemistry but when she finds out what Caim really is and the supernatural underbelly in her city writing a story on the illustrious bachelor will be the least of her troubles.
Eva becomes the pawn in a very dangerous game with both sides using her for their own game and knowing who to trust will have her questioning everything she's ever known. Time has never been on Eva's side and now it's the one thing she wishes was guaranteed.

Our h, who's name I can't recall, wants to be a reporter but is stuck working for a crappy boss. Oh, and she has some sort of disease so she is checking off her bucket list. She catches the eye of a powerful demon and her boss wants her to use Caim's interest in her to get information. At first she says no to this but when she finds out she'll be paid well for it her moral compass is suddenly on the fritz. This is where this story totally lost me, I didn't like our h at all. She obviously shouldn't be trusting anyone in. her situation and I get that demon = bad but Caim has treated her with nothing but kindness, respect, chivalry, and has been completely transparent. However, her boss is a pr!@k and the human she is so worried about is the only one who has tried to physically hurt her. Imagine trying to be a reporter and being so naive to think that someone now has your best interest at heart when he could have helped you anytime before this!

Okay, I knew going in that this was going to be a “billionaire with secrets” romance, but I wasn’t expecting demon billionaire with secrets. 🫠

Sinful Touch hooked me right away with the setup! Journalist desperate for a promotion, tasked with exposing the most mysterious (and ridiculously attractive) man in the city. What starts as an “I must uncover his dark truth” quickly turns into “oh no, I want him more than I should.” And the tension is chef’s kiss.

Caim is everything you’d want in a morally grey love interest: dangerously powerful, unexpectedly caring, and utterly impossible to resist. The slow reveal of who he really is added such a thrilling twist.

I devoured this book in basically one sitting. It’s the perfect mix of steamy romance, urban fantasy vibes, and high stakes danger.

If you love sexy demons, forbidden attraction, and a FMC who has to decide between her heart and her survival, you’ll eat this one up.

Ok this is kind of sad since I really wanted to like the sequel series of Wolfhart's Demons after dark series. The legions characters are really what kept me hoping, especially since I also enjoy the general world setting in these installments. Unfortunately it just doesn't work for me, and I'll have to give up on the series.

It's hard to pinpoint it on one little thing since the problem is more of a collection of inconsistencies and unlogical thinking and actions throughout the whole book.
These demons are eons old but behave like they've never heard of logical, strategic thinking. And don't get me started on the heroine... Just no. I won't go into detail and spoil anything but none of her thoughts or decisions make ANY sense whatsoever. And there's a cliffhanger which all but killed off even the last ounce of desire I might have had, to read the next book.

Ok so we all love the guys already from demons after darks first series. I am extra lucky as I loved Caim so much that getting his story was EVERYTHING!!… but let’s talk about Eva. I think she is amazing!! She is so strong willed and has so much courage, the heart breaking past with her mum and her health issues push her to be the best version of herself. She is feisty, funny and she keeps up with the guys. I love all the characters, I love the story, I love the hotness levels. This is an easy, action packed, fast pasted book that I know I’ll read over and over.

Well I’m back and with book 2 Darkest fate coming I had to re-read my favourite demons and it was just as good as the very first time… bring on book two.

This book is set in the Demon's after dark universe, one of the characters from the covenant series Caim is the leading guy in this one. Eva, I think I spelt that right, she's a new unique character with an intriguing background. The storyline is amazing, it has that element of mystery and unexpected twists. I loved this world setting, and Caim's personality. He's aloof and carefree compared to the others, which is refreshing. This is honestly a great start for a new series, if you love the whole Demons/Angels Paranormal darkish fantasy stories then this is a book to pick up. The author is one of my favourite writers, and has many fantastic series's.

Not for me, thx!

Let me start by saying I didn’t finish reading this book. I just couldn’t continue to reading it. The book is easy to follow which is that why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I have read many books in this genre and maybe, it comes down to personal taste, but the MMC Caim for a Demon was too soft and forgiving for my taste. More like a wimp. Then we have the FMC Eva, I just couldn’t stand her. Made such stupid decisions and always got caught. I found myself skipping some of the story until I just gave up. Not for me I guess.

Fantastic start

What a fabulous start to this absolutely incredible series. Was definitely not expecting anything like this at all. I do love a good surprise and when you find a story that can grab your full attention with lots of entertainment, fun and excitement. This is the start of something delicious for sure. Eva is definitely a refreshing FMC. She’s a fighter and she’s passionate. I think there is a lot more to her than even she realises herself. With that I’m excited to see where her journey goes esp with Caim and the demons. ❤️

Holy Demons!

Eva and Caim’s story is the next installment of Jenna’s Demons After Dark. Eva is so relatable! I mean who wouldn’t try and break into the hottest club in the city through a window only to find out it’s ran by a group of sexy demons who want to save souls instead of torturing them?! Sign me up! And that ending?! Oh be still my heart! It’s going to be a long couple of months waiting for book two.

Could not stop reading!! For real!! This world is amazing!! I love it and am happy to jump back in, both feet and never look back! LOL Seriously. It has everything. Caim, YUM. And the mystery at the beginning had me so curious, I would have continued without that but it was a different spin on things, in my opinion. Love this book, love the characters, love this author!! 110% recommend!! :DJenna Wolfhart

Love This World

Last series was about Asmodeus and Mia. This series is about Caim and Eva. Ironically, Eva doesn't believe in the supernatural. Eyes are definitely being opened on that subject. The Cult of Lilith is hunting demons in exchange for immortality. I'll be perfectly honest, immortality is not on my wish list anywhere. My only issue with this book was on just how much mincing Eva does.

page turner

The book was amazing and you would not want to put it down. At first I was like this will be just like the others but this author had you wanting more .

Eva wanted to move up in the newspaper but she needed something big to make her boss happy.

She goes to the club where not everyone can get in. Well she decides to sneak into the window and find out .

There she begins her journey of what she thought was myths was really true.

Caim and Evas story is good in this. Eva is a human that is a reporter and is tasked by her boss to get close to Caim for a story. This book has a mystery involving the cult of Lilith and Caim goes on a date with Eva to get info on her boss. This book ends un a cliffhanger that you will want the next one now.

Loved it

I always love stories with a strong female character, and this one did not disappoint. This book has a great mix of character backstories intertwined with the present story line, it has intrigue and suspense, with some juicy heat between characters without being overly graphic, and a great cliff hanger.

3.5 🌟

This surprised me, especially the ending. I thought the premise wouldn't be that great, however, I was highly invested. This is my first book by this author, and now I will be reading more.

I will say the romance isn't heavily developed, it's really insta-love. The background on each character is vague. The action though is full throughout the book, and I am not complaining.

I am giving this book only 2 stars bc only the plot had potential. The fmc and mmc were so stupid that it literally hurt me to continue reading. Mind that I was skip after 50% book! I just have no words.
At the end I felt like the fmc had more brain than the rest of the group!
There was no twist or turns that would make me to continue.
So I am not gonna continue.

I hate the heroine

I like several of the author’s books, but this isn’t one of them. For me the Eva doesn’t deserve Caim. It DNF at 53%, because I got just to frustrated with her to keep reading.

Very easy reading

This story was ok. It was very easy reading and I think aimed at teenagers. The concept was quite good with a jornalist's boss being the bad guy and the local nightclub peers were the good guys.
