Welcome to the first and last greatest show of your lives!
Shake in terror as you see the unimaginable,
and open your minds to the nightmares that crawl through your simple human brains.
Not for the faint of heart, but we’ll take any heart that beats.
I want to hear your gasps of disbelief before your moans of pleasure and pain.
Ladies and gentlemen, take your seats, eat, drink,...
And let me hear you scream!
On the eve of her twenty-first birthday, Fay Landry is dragged to a circus by her loser boyfriend, changing her life completely from that moment further.
An orphan at the age of two she has spent her years trying to find out who she really is, why she craves life at a speed too fast for her mundane life to carry. So when her vision of reality is altered and everything she thought was real unfocuses to a new sense of clarity, monsters begin to appear out of once harmless faces and she finds herself in awe instead of fear by the nightmares she witnesses coming to existence before her very eyes.
What do you do when your world is flipped upside down and you find yourself locked in a cage, imprisoned by three 'men'. Men who you should be ultimately terrified by. Who cause your heart to race and your inhibitions to evaporate under their alluring powers and very presence. What do you do when you face finding everything you've been looking for your whole life and when, unmasked and unglamored, it should be what has you running screaming for your life instead?
Cirque Du Mort is a fast burn paranormal RH romance for readers who should be aware of blood, gore, depravity, swearing and sexual situations intended for ages 18+.
Tammi Lynn is an Arizona native and has three boys and one girl, one human and three feline. When she's not working at her full time job or writing she can be found in the backyard in a hammock reading, going on an adventure with her son or just chilling and hanging out with friends and family.
She's knew to the Author and publishing world and is hoping to write many more books to come in a few different genres. Having always wanted to write a book and taking so long to do it she is a firm believer in never giving up on your dreams, they might just be delayed in coming to you.
This is an amazing read. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a circus theme, until this book, and I have to say, I loved it! The world building is awesome! I loved the storyline and all the fantastic characters, especially Fay and her sexy men!
If you are looking for a great, fast burn, paranormal romance, then look no further!
This book clearly wasn't professionally edited as there were constant homophone issues and incorrectly used apostrophes. The "plot twists" were obvious from the start, the author relied on insta love (which the FMC denigrated) instead of actual relationship building and there was no character development. This was a story that has been overdone and it needed something to set it apart from the thousands of others just like it....unfortunately, the only differences were negative. I don't see myself reading anything else by this author.
Sinfully Dark, Witty as Hell, and Dangerously Smutty!
Come one, come all! This book is a must read that you don’t want to miss!
Fay has always felt that her life moved slower than she wanted to live it. And the men? Well, no one could satisfy her feral need and the desires within her. But, on her 21st birthday, her current -soon to be no longer – boyfriend, drags her to the Circus. A one night only type of Circus – “The first and last greatest show of your life” kind of event. It turns out to be the first night she truly begins her life, when three men from another world come into each others lives. They will help her discover her past and the origins of her powers, making her theirs in the process.
This is a book filled with characters you feel for and smut you crave to read. For me, this is my first taste of Tammi Lynn’s writing, and I am an instant fan! Love at first read – if you will. And if you are going to read Tammi’s words for the first time, you will need to be ready to embrace your crazy and get ready to fall for not only the characters and world she built, but the essence of the author herself!
I for one, am a stickler when it comes to the “flow” in an author’s writing, showing you their true written voice. And Cirque Du Mort flowed smoothly and vibes effortlessly with every word on the page. The world building around the characters was brought out in imagery and dialogue between the characters with such ease. Each character had such fun and unique characteristics making each one stand on their own or jelled well as a group.
For our main character, Fay commands attention and has no filter, creating an abundance of witty humor and sassy comebacks that anyone would love from a heroine. And I am no different! I enjoy the heroines that are strong willed with a heart of gold. The men are just as compelling, but I will leave that to you as the readers to discover. It was quite enjoyable finding out about each one of the guys blindly. So, I don’t want to spoil too much, but I will tell you they are unworldly and KINKY AS SMUT!
Tammi has such a strong voice in this book that I think it’s going to be a favorite of the PNR/RH readers. There is so much I love about this book that I can’t describe it all without SPOILERS! So, enter the clowns mouth of Cirque Du Mort for yourself and braise yourself for a world of magic, desire, and who knows what else! The Circus of Death awaits! Go grab yourself a copy and let me hear you SCREAM!!!
This is a 5 Phase read for me and easily in my top reads of 2021!
I really really wish I could give this book more than 3-3.5 stars. This book had so much potential! I absolutely adore the premise behind it, the idea of dark fae/horde running a circus to feed off humans is super fun.
I loved the crazy/insane world the author created! It’s detailed and chaotic and fae and just what I was looking for. The plot was exciting as well. I liked the characters, though they weren’t my absolute favorite. It definitely took a while for me to warm up to the FMC. At the beginning of the book she was a whiney negative Nancy. Thankfully she grew past that and I liked that she was peppy and slightly unhinged.
However! This book takes place over 24 hours. 24 HOURS!! The entire book spans 24 hours where not a lot is happening…except s*x. I tried really hard to stay hooked into this story. I really really tried, but it got a bit boring. I really didn’t want to skim towards the end but I couldn’t stop myself from skipping paragraphs and hurrying to get towards some type of action or drama.
Besides that, the relationships were definitely ‘insta’ everything. Insta-lust, insta-love, insta-deep connection. It felt forced in some places. Like, within the first few hours the withdrawn and murderous fae/vampire was telling her his deep dark past, she’s comforting him, and he’s crying. She’s crying for him. It felt really false and honestly kind of awkward. She had those moments with all of her men within minutes of being alone with them for the first time.
So now I’m torn. I WANT to know what happens in the next book. I’m interested in the story. But if it drones on like this one did then I don’t know if I can manage it.
This is the first book I've read from Tammi and I am in love with her skill. She has created something dark, devious, twisted and utterly delicious. I would give anything to become part of this dark fae world she has created where nothing is what it seems and beauty and deadliness go hand in hand.
Faye goes through an amazing metamorphic transformation during this book. From a lost human girl to a powerful and unknown dark fae with the world at her finger tips. She is such a strong character and goes after exactly what she wants, and makes no apologies for who she is. Having felt her life was missing something, always just a step adrift from everyone else things change the night night her birthday everything falls into place as the veil is lifted.
What can I say about the three sinfully gorgeous, dark and deviant brothers. Powerful dark prince's who are beyond powerful and have eveyon captivated by their show suddenly find themselves beholden by the unknown red headed beauty that is Faye.
I love the instant chemistry between Faye and the guys but the realism in their journey is how their relationships develop at their own pace. The tension between them is their instantly but the depth of the bonds that develop between them are shaped as individually as the guys. Their bonds are deep and strong and when shocking revelations are made heart shattering decisions have to be made.
I can't wait to see the worlds be ripped apart in what will undoubtedly be an epic battle for truth and love.
Fay was abandoned at age 2 at a fire station with a green blanket and note with only her name and DOB. Fay has always felt something was missing she loves her adopted parents but finds herself unable to stand being in a relationship for more than 3 months. On the eve of her 21st birthday Fay plans to spend her night clubbing bringing in her birthday in style but is horrified when her current (but soon to be ex) boyfriend Martin drags her to the Circus with his friends instead. Her first sign all is not as it appears is when faces start to twist and shift in to something dark and then she spots the name - Cirque du Mort, Circus of Death. Brushing off her concerns becomes impossible once the show starts, finding herself drawn to a trio of men, Thane the Ringmaster, Cass the Lion Tamer and Sin the Strongman she is torn when feeling aroused by the horrific acts she witnesses and she soon finds herself held captive by the three brothers. Drawn to them as much as they are to her Fay is more like them than she thought. When the secret of her identity is revealed Fay’s joy is short lived when she is told she must choose only one leading her to make a drastic decision.
This is a great start to series, characters are well written and the steam level is set to high.
Not gonna lie, I almost quit this book after just the first couple of chapters because I wasn’t enjoying Fay’s inner monologue or even really her character in general. I’m glad I stuck with it to get past the first few chapters where things really got interesting at the circus. Still never really enjoyed any of the inner monologues with any of the characters though lol
The plot was good even though it was really predictable and I was just waiting for all the characters to catch up with what I already guessed. I think what I enjoyed the most about this book was all the different kinds of fae/creatures and their unique abilities. Each of the guys is something different and it was really cool learning more about what they are and what they can do.
Cliffhanger has me dying for the next book so bad! If you want a unique faerie reverse harem book then this is great for you!
Cirque Du Mort is all the fun of circus and you'll have to time of your life as long as it lasts. Especially if its the last thing you do!! Quite literally!!
Worlds collide for Fay (FMC) when shes dragged to Cirque du Mort on her birthday. Only thing dont go to plan for her and her eyes are opened to a whole new world by 3 sexy circus workers - Thane, Cassius and Sin. Who are much more than they seem to be. Im just knocked out by this first book in this series. Its fast paced and the story flows quickly. It kept me completely gripped and the steamy scenarios were off of the charts. So flaming hot!!! I also loved Bob hes a real character and cheeky to go with it. After that ending im looking forward to the next book now. As this one was bloody brilliant
This was a riveting tale with insta-love for the heroine and heroes of the storyline.
The characters were likeable, especially Sin (so far). There's just something about him that screams 'love me, need me'. Must be the whole tormented, lost soul, bad boy image the author portrayed. The mystery and suspense wasn't there as I figured that part out very early on since the author provided more than enough information for that, but nonetheless, the storyline was still an enjoyable one.
I look forward to the next installment in the series and hopes it's as good as this first book to the series.
DNF@ 40%. I wasn't keen on the writing style to begin with, but the story is just so trite and the FMC was written as a depthless slave to her vagina and I am just not into it. It reads as both overly dramatic and shallow at once.
Often clunky sentences and minor editing mistakes. Not terrible, but but the often unwieldy compound sentences would "lose their way" before the period, and become unintelligible. I caught a couple in highlights.
The final straw for me was listening to someone retell a traumatic experience and her response was to immediately be focused on her genitals. Meh. At least let the emotions be processed by the reader for a page or two before you pivot back to smut.
I absolutely loved this book. The detail in the characters made it easy to picture while reading. The personalities of each of the main characters was fun to read and imagine. I laughed a lot with this book, but I usually do with Tammi Lynn's books. There's a reason she's in my top 5 favorite authors. If your looking for a strong bad @ss FMC and possessive Men then this is for you. I quickly noticed it's a fast burn romance which I loved. With that being said there is lots of spice to go with the fast burn love. Definitely can not wait until book 2!
It's not bad, it's just not for me, the writing style is good, it reads smoothly and fast, but I don't like the FMC, and the guys went from scary, bad guys to simpering love sick puppies in no time flat.
I like insta love as much as the next one but the character changing that fast without us really knowing them just isn't for me, the cover is amazing and it attracts people which is good because I know a lot of people like this kind of books, so don't let my words keep you from reading it. It's just not for me. 4 stars though, the idea of the story is great !
I was not expecting this book to be that good. I was pleasantly surprised and hyped up to complete it in one day. The book is a fast burn paranormal romance, so there is no shyness or coyness. Fay knew what she wanted and didn't hesitate to take it and enjoy it. I loved the world building and the characters interaction. The circus aspect of the book was awesome, loved how everything came to life. Thane, Cassius and Sincere are perfect monsters to sit with. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. Great read.
I'm a huge fan of Tammi and have been ever since her very first book so when i tell you her writing and storytelling just keeps getting better and better, I mean it. Tammi has created a world that we have just begun to see the surface of. You get insta love, steamy fast burn, suspense, and twist and turns throughout the entire book. Everything flowed amazingly well and there was always something happening. I'm loving the relationships that are developing and i cannot pick a favorite guy! I love their brand of crazy.
So first things frist Dib on all three as bookboyfriend...lol I love that this takes place at Circus put a different spin on things. Fay is very relateable and she says whats on her mind. I couldnt put it done i was hook from the start. I like that the these guys dont try to keep her from finding herself they let her explore. Bob my favorite side Character EVER!!!!!!! I dont want to give away to much but i say this worth the read. This 18+ reverse harem with 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
At about 80% of this book I couldn’t stop skipping ahead to see how this ends because I was so invested in these characters and story I couldn’t fathom it being so close to the end. SO happy to see at this point it’s a three book series!! I can’t wait to see where this story takes us. It has amazing chemistry and steamy scenes, incredible characters and backstories. 5 star read! So happy to have found this author!
Okay so I really really wanted to love this book. I enjoyed the story concept. A woman learning who she is, and falling for some dark and dastardly brothers. My issue was pacing. This entire book was set in a span of like three or four days. There was hardly any suspense, there was hardly any conflict, and what there was seemed inconsequential. The idea, and the creativity for this book was enough for me to finish it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

But I’d sure give it a go…. 😂 Dark Horde Fae that feed off lust, smex, pain, and death. Yes, please. Be prepared for lots of death. It happens. 🤷♀️ No sweet and innocent here. Grayish, but not what I’d consider full on dark, but still utterly delightful. I’ll wait in my corner for book 2. 💜
Look I tried I really did I got to 44% and just couldn’t finish. Hardly a plot by 44% a lot of naughty scenes with a lot of people; I am not big on harem books of any sort, a disclaimer but it got to much. RH books are the worse for me. The beginning started off super cool; I was like yeah I can give this RH book a chance then nope.
This was a very interesting book. I loved how dark and weird it was. She had to make some hard choices and it was sad but I hope her Uncle gets it in the end. I figured out who she was before she did but still loved how she found out. I loved that all their wings were different too.

This was a new to me author with her new series. I'm in a group where this was recommended and I had added it to my TBR list. I really enjoyed this and look forward to the next.
I can’t tell you what to do but I will recommend this book to you i enjoy every character that’s in it the story the background and it’s just a beginning can’t wait to see what part two is gonna be all about
I really enjoyed the circus aspect, even if was a very creeper circus. I’m interested to see how the author will develop the story, especially after that ending. I enjoyed reading about Fay and her men.
This was weirdly entertaining. I don't normally like this kind of "freak show" or "circus of horrors" type of book, but something about it pulled me in & kept me reading. I think it flowed well, and had a decent world building considering the FMC was learning as she goes sort of thing. Everything happens really fast, & there's a lot of chemistry, but the emotional connection seemed off, not sure with such a short time span that it didn't all feel rushed. There is definitely a huge cliff-hanger ending, that definitely makes me want to read book 2 when it comes out.
Well this was the 1st book by Tammi that I've read and it certainly will not be the last. From the 1st page I was hooked. Its not normally a theme I would read ( circus) but the blurb called to as it sounded quire interesting 🤔 and I can't say I was disappointed. Can't wait for the 2nd installment.
this was a really interesting read I loved the story line and can't wait for the next book to come out and I am waiting patently for it this is the first book by this author but I will read more from this author.
I found this book quite hard to read because of a number of plot and editing issues, but most specifically, characters tended to just blurt things out and infodump at the weirdest times and it was very frustrating.
