Stress can make you feel anxious, awful, and afraid. It can leave you jumpy and jittery, upset and uptight. When kids show signs of stress, they need stress management tools that work. With jokes, fun illustrations, and plenty of authentic examples, this book helps kids understand what stress is-and gives tons of tips to cope. Refreshed to address modern stressors like electronic devices and social media, this updated classic helps kids deal with stress like a seasoned panic mechanic.
This is an amazing book that helps kids to understand what stress is, how it affects us, and what we can do to combat it. The book is written in a light-hearted way that brings in humor to what is usually a "stressful" topic. The book has fun examples of what stress may look like, and also shows us how we can combat this stress, and also what we do that may make our stress worse. This is a book that I would read to any grade level, or even give to a student to read who is dealing with stress. Quick, fun read.
This book's target audience is for older elementary or middle school aged students. It discusses stress in kids, what factors into being stressed, and ways to help manage stress. This book was also interactive and began with a quiz to determine how stressed the reader might be. The book discussed scenarios like having a super busy schedule with sports and responsibilities after school that many children could easily relate to. I liked the relatableness of this book and wished it had been introduced to me as a child to help me cope when I was stressed. One chapter also discussed how factors like family and financial problems can heavily impact a child. On almost every page there were detailed, colorful illustrations that related to the topic or scenario being discussed. This book consisted of mostly basic words with a few difficult vocabulary words that might make reading difficult for a younger audience. Overall, I liked this book because it was very informative with detailed illustrations and it discusses a topic that I believe should be talked about more especially to younger people.

Second half of this book is helpful in describing 12 stress scenarios, how they make kids feel and what kids can do to counteract. Ex: --You're so stressed out, every little thing annoys you --You're restless, frantic, and jumpy --You worry almost all the time, especially about things that will probably never happen
Gives some very good advice on how to calm stress and help your child through stressful situations. Only giving it 4 stars because it doesn't give a whole lot of solutions, it just kind of skims over the subject. But is a funny read for kids and parents.
