Caring for You

Rate this book
Can you care too much?
Bea Owens cares for everyone: her best friend Lynn, her mother Trudi, even Chloe, an occasional employee. But when her ex-husband shows up at New York City Fashion Week to try to seduce Bea back into a relationship so that she will care for him, she backs off.
Enough is Enough.
Then he meets calm, handsome Sam Meyers who witnesses Bea’s over-caring and asks if she wants to be a savior to all.
Sam Meyers recognizes the need for self-care. He’s raised two teenage daughters since his wife died, took over a management agency, and still maintains a grounded sensibility with good humor. But he’s not being dragged into Bea’s over caring world even though they are wildly attracted to one another.
One of the Tales of Resilience, Caring for You features a woman who cares too much and a man who has learned to balance life.

👍🏻 The book talks about Beatrice Owens, a par excellence fashion designer has an over caring nature to a fault. She has built walls around herself, the only person she is close to is her best friend.

Bea Owens, clothing designer for the stars, cares too much for others, not enough for herself. She worries for her best friend who has overcome cancer, for her mother who is slipping into dementia, a model who shows her clothes, and even an ex-husband who shows up only when he needs help.
Sam Meyer has already gone through a tough stint caring for his dead wife and he knows how to take care of himself. When the two meet at a Rue LA LA event, their attraction is instantaneous. But Sam will not compete with Bea's ex for attention and challenges her to care more for herself. They slowly find their way back to each other and Bea learns how to be caring, but also attentive to her own needs and Sam's

This story was hard for me to rate. I enjoyed Bea's tale of success, fighting for herself in business and in her personal life, and finding a stronger love. The people surrounding her had gone or were going through a lot of pain, medical issues, and death, which gave the story a bit of a downer as there seemed to be so much loss and such. I felt it was a little too much, but it showed Bea's journey to rise above it all, including the theft of her designs. Overall, the story was worth the read.

I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

This is Bea and Sam’s story. Bea is a carer who takes care of everyone around her, and Sam is a widower with two daughters, and since his wife passed, he had learnt to balance his life between his family and work. There is an instant attraction between Sam and Bea, and they compliment each other perfectly. Add in an ex-husband who is hoping to get back with Bea, and this is an intriguing read. This is a good story which is sweet, entertaining, and with humor, emotions, and love. I look forward to reading more from this author and I recommend this story.
