Sometimes a girl just needs to get away from it all and sip some margaritas on the beach with her besties. Well, that was my plan until the very guys I’m trying to get away from somehow find me.

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS AUTHOR AND THE WAY SHE WRITES THESE SERIES. ITS JUST MAGNIFICENT TO ME AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I EVEN HAVE TO READ IT SLOWLY BECAUSE I DON’T WANT IT TO END. I THINK IF THIS AUTHOR WRITES SO MANY PAGES I WOULDN’T GET MAD OR BORED BECAUSE THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS AUTHOR… Her story, characters and the way this storyline goes is just what i want it to be and even better. I’m officially will be reading from this author in the next twenty or forty years from now. Even if these series gets longer too i will for sure reading it cause thats how obsessed i am. I. REPEAT. OBSESSED!!!!!! 😍😍

I’m very picky with stories like this, the supernatural romance ethereal god story. BECAUSE MANY OF THEM THAT I COME ACROSS ARE SO BORING AND THE STORYLINE GETS CONFUSING AND THE CHARACTERS GETS SO ANNOYING. AND EVEN END UP BEING NOT SAFE ROMANCE WHEN I WANT IS A SAFE ROMANCE STORY😮💨😮💨 SO WHEN I FIND OUT ABOUT THIS BOOK AND HOW THE STORYLINE GOES, THESE SERIES, CHARACTERS, LIKE OH MY GOODNESS… ITS SO MUCH BETTER AND I COULDN’T BE MORE HAPPIER TO COME ACROSS THIS BOOK. BECAUSE ITS REALLY THAT GOOD TO ME…. When i read the first book i was smiling my ass off because its so entertaining and emotionally romantic, and when i get and read the second book which is this one i was like screaming happiness.
And because the characters is not so difficult to read and understand, it made me easier to read the whole story is about. I love it when the heroine didn’t ask so much or be too confused because some heroine on other books gets too confused and it made them such a fool😅 but not this one. This book and characters are a strong individuals and not so many confusing parts in it. I remember some of the other books who are similar like this one, they are too complicated to understand because there are days when those heroine are confused on who she really is and then do stupid mistake thing and always denied her true self. Ugh i hate those type of heroines😂😂 This heroine on this book though, she understood well enough to accept her new life and be smart and strong about it. Like wow! 😍😍
This author really made it easy and straight forward with the whole ethereal god relationship romance story, no nonsense and no unnecessary drama😍

If you’re asking did she have s*x with four of them in this second book? The answer is no, she did have s*x with three of them. The other one was busy but he did kissed and touch her many times. but i bet the third book will have a lot of hot smut scenes for sure🤪
You won’t have to be worry if these romance is safe or not, BECAUSE IT IS SAFE. THE HEROES (the heroine have four mates if you don’t know) AND HEROINE ARE VERY LOYAL.
‼️‼️‼️THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK. Which have separation because the heroes and heroine in my opinion have a big misunderstanding and also the heroine is confused with the whole thing that just happened in the first book so she decided to go out with her best friends and try to have fun with them. Unfortunately… the heroine did let another man touch her thigh while everyone was playing a game, she thinks she can move on from her mates because of their big misunderstanding, but it was only for few seconds she let that man touch her thigh because one of her mates come to get her. Yes the other man only did that and nothing more. YES she did feel so very guilty afterwards and have to suffer of that hero being distant towards her because of that. She learn her lessons and promise to become better. Which she did and they all moved on from there. They were separated for a week. The heroes? They are very loyal to her of course and never touch anyone else.

One of the other heroes named kyros is very understanding with the whole big misunderstanding thing that happened between them.

Maximus: Grumpy, always never relax but when the heroine look at him and touch him that really relaxes him and is the God of destruction.
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROES ARE SOOOOOO OBSESSED AND WANT THE HEROINE SOOOOO BADLY…. EVEN WHEN THE HEROES FIND OUT WHO’S THE HEROINE DAD IS, THEY DIDN’T RUN OR MAKE IT WORST FOR THE HEROINE AND HER DAD.

They always defends the heroine and proud of the heroine. They do not question the heroine of being stubborn and smart mouth the council in front of them, they let the heroine speak for herself because they know how special she really is. I love that even when the council is powerful people too, the heroes always defends the heroine and show her love in front of anyone. Like oh my goodness….

Some of the others gods are nice to her too because they know how good and smart she is.

I absolutely loved book 1 so I was so excited when this dropped onto my kindle.
We pick up with Olivia (aka Liv) and her friends in Mexico recovering (aka hiding) from that ending in book 1. I love Liv's inner dialogue verses her actions and real dialogue. Her friendships with Nelle and Kali are fabulous and help Liv. They back her up without question and provide much needed distraction.
Obviously the boys finally catch up and the different relationships all take some new directions.
I have a huge soft spot for Adrian since book 1 and that's not changed. His character really grew in this book and all his relationships are better for it. I really enjoyed getting more time with each of Liv's 4 mates and there are some seriously hot chapters that have left me anticipating the next book! I can't wait to see this RH explore their dynamic in the bedroom!
We got to meet a few more characters in this book with really helped with the world building and I'm sure will lead to a growing series.
Our nemesis is not alone and this development lead to twists and turns that kept me on my toes and turning those pages! This book ends on one shocker of a cliffhanger I did NOT see coming! AT ALL!
I can't believe this is only Rachel 's second book, it's so well written and engaging. I can't help but get carried along with the story and feel apart of the characters lives.
I highly recommend getting started if you haven't yet.

Be prepared to laugh so hard you cry at some parts as well. You wont regret picking this one up!
Deception will give you all the feels (so have tissues ready) packed with action, spice, and plot so good it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Oh I was so ready to get back to Liv and her guys especially after the ending of Acension— thankfully this book kicks off straight into the action following those events.
I’m keeping my review spoiler free because everything here needs to be experienced fresh for the first time around. There is so much character development in this book, Liv really starts to trust those around her more, especially her guys, which you can tell is difficult for her to do but it was so lovely to witness.
Adrien, Kyros, Mateo and Maximus all go through their own growths as well, dealing with their emotions after what happened at the end of Acension as well as the events that happen in this book.
Now.. when I tell you my jaw dropped at the last couple chapters, I was like wait what now!? Tears formed and I’m refusing to believe what I read. A certain character I’ve been suspicious of all along is currently proving me right however I think there’s definitely more going on than meets eye here— I’m so excited for Revelation!

So I'm just blown away by this author! This is her second book and I would have never been able to guess that by reading her books. The 1st one was AMAZING but this one has surpassed that! She hit another one out of the park! It blew all of my expectations out of the water.
Thankfully this books picks up off where the last left off on that cliffhanger. The character development is perfect! It has twist and turns you don't see coming. It is steamy, intense, and packed full of action. What more can you want?! The story flow and plot are top notch! Like seriously, this is so well written. I'm having a hard time believing this is only the second book by this author. I mean I KNOW it is but DANGGGG!!!! She is one heck of an author. 🙌

Rachel Callahan is back at it again with her strong lead Liv and sexy cast of men! Deception picks up right where Ascension left us, Liv coming into her powers but unsure how to deal with her multiple mate situation. We got some answers in this book but were also thrown many new twists and questions. Callahan effectively uses the three trial trope to bring her characters together as the guys train Liv to be the baddest bitch in the land. This series is just filled to the brim with a sexy RH, an intriguing world and cliffhanger endings!

I loved this book! It exceeded my expectations and was even better than the first one! I just love reading about these characters so much and their world! Plus the pacing and plot always have me dying to know what will happen next!

I was lucky enough to beta read for this book and the author did such a great job! For a new author, I give big props to Rachel for writing another book that kept me captivated throughout.
The second book continues on where the last one left off. Olivia soon learns everything was a big misunderstanding and starts to work on repairing her commitment issues and relationships with the guys. Each one of the guys reveals more of their personality. I like how they call each other out when one of them is acting like an idiot.
It’s obvious the council wants to control Olivia, and if they can’t, destroy her. But the guys focus on training Olivia for the trials and she overcomes each one thrown at her. While training and competing in the trials, they also have the Titus threat looming over their heads. There’s a lot of suspense and relationship growth, not to mention the sexy scenes!
It all comes to a jaw dropping cliffhanger that left me torn up. I didn’t see that ending coming at all! I have no idea how the next book is going to go, but I absolutely cannot wait to read it.

Wow!!!! I thought there was a lot going on in Ascension, this brings it up a whole new level. I love the twists and turns and all of the fine details in this series. The character development from book one to book two added a depth to everyone and really enhanced the whole story. I loved the push and pull though at times I wanted to smack a character for their ridiculousness but I knew there was purpose. The descriptions of the God's powers and how the energy flows through and the general tension between Liv and her mates, sigh. So fantastic! I love how the story is mostly told from Liv's perspective with a little dash of each of her mates to enhance things a bit more.
The spice did not disappoint either! The angst and built up tension between everyone after the trials of the Ascension came to a burst of fire. Not just the bedroom scenes but the small touches and insinuations added so much.
This is book two, make sure to start with Ascension first.

OMGosh! Such an amazing book! I didn't think it could get better than Ascension, but I was incredibly wrong! This book is intense, steamy, romantic, heartbreaking at times, and packed full of action. I love Olivia, Maximus, Mateo, Adrian, and Kyros. Their love knows no bounds. I am anxiously waiting for book 3.

Deception picked up right where Ascension left off. Olivia is a freaking bada$$ and she dominates this book. Fighting the council while trying to make it though the trials, is no easy task. The connection with her mates grows stronger, and I loved all the sweetness they shared. Max and Mateo are still my favorite and all four boys will be in book harem forever. Kyros, wooohooo goodness I loved seeing his dominance side in this book. 🥵🥵🥵

One set of reveals/relationships I expected but not that betrayal for sure. FABULOUS!!!! The flow of this story picks up where ascension left off. The continuation of Olivia's story is Absolutely fantastic. We get to see more into her life. We are drawn in to the Realm of the Gods. You will find some nuggets of information that will explain some things from book 1....

I expected nothing short of brilliance!! Rachel the continuation of this story is on the money!! I love everything thing about this book. I couldn't put it down. Olivia has grown into her powers and in her relationship with all of her men. This book was steamy goodness!! One Of My Favourite Series
I thank my lucky stars every day that I stumbled across Rachel before her first ever release of Ascension, it's so rare to find a debut book that reads like a seasoned pro and Deception is no different. I have devoured every word of this book and fallen in love with Liv and her guys all over again whilst also gaining some answers to questions we had in Book 1. However, the clever craftsperson Rachel is, I now have many MORE questions that I can’t wait to see answered in Book 3. I cannot tell you how much this story calls to my soul and urge you to read it, tell your friends to read it and even your neighbours cat if you so desire. Un-put-downable and the ultimate binge read.

I loved being able to dive back in and immediately pick up where we left off, especially with that cliff hanger from book one. The guys are back and liv isn’t messing around this time, she grows tremendously and is able to finally form those connections with her mates. She finds out who her parents are and let’s just say no one will want to mess with her ever. After the ultimate betrayal liv finds herself alone with the enemy with two huge truth coming to light…. Holy smokes I need the next book!

I still can't believe this is only Rachel Callahan's second book. She's really coming out swinging, skipping the baby author phase completely, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Did something actually improve from the first book? No. Did it got worse? Also no, but it didn’t get better so I wouldn’t take that as a win.
This book also prioritized the relationships over the plot so for two out of the four MMC’s to be angry or avoiding Olivia was annoying and ridiculous.
At some point I really hated Adrien because honeeey are you done playing the victim? Do you want to grow some balls and an empathetic bone to your body and put yourself in Olivia’s position? No? Well, okay, behave like a twelve year old all good.
And WTF Mateo? Are you going to get your head out of your ass or not? Because you’re telling me you actually put first your relationships with Osias?! I know it’s important to have good communication and not hate your mate’s dad but your mature and intelligent solution toward the problem was to avoid Liv?! Yeah that was definitely going to work. Not only was your solution stupid but also your reasoning.
Max and Kyros were just there tbh.
There were a little too many inconsistencies and things that were just incoherent and illogical with the dynamics and explanations we were given.
I understand this is a fight between gods but wasn’t there a hierarchy? Wasn’t Osias like a super god? His lack of ability to solve anything was outstanding.
I want to blame my memory and say I’m not sure but wasn’t in the first book the name of the God of Fire Hector? Here it was Victor. And wasn’t Katrina his daughter?! Know all of a sudden your saying Katrina is the daughter of the God of WISDOM? Yeaaaah sure.
Im entertained enough to continue reading the series and the ending of the book was actually good, predictable, but still good enough to keep me curious about what’s going to happen.
Some questions:
Is Titus not going to be actually bad?
Can Nelle pretty please become a guardian?
Can Olivia actually grow some personality and become a badass bitch? All her bravado and threats feel empty to me if she’s not actually doing anything you know.
For me, the type of writing, the plot and the development of the book itself felt juvenile despite the spice and everything was a little too skimped over for my liking.
I was expecting it but I was still disappointed.

Some expected and unexpected revelations. And that cliffhanger is quite a doozy!
I knew from the get go the council are pieces of crap, so things they did throughout the book wasn't surprising in the least. What did surprise me is the betrayal from one of Olivia's closest friends. That was awful to read. And the devastation she felt was heartbreaking. But along with that devastation, the rage coming off of her. They better run and run fast.
My favorite parts of the book is the friendship Nelle, Kali, and Olivia have. They both back her up. And love her unconditionally. I'm all about good female friendships in stories.
What I didn't like about this book was the way Adrian and Mateo acted towards Olivia. They, especially Adrian, treated her like garbage. The worst part is that Olivia took it! Where was the no nonsense doesn't take crap from anyone girl I loved in book one? She was definitely MIA in this one.
There are so many twists and turns that had me at the edge of my seat. My anxiety was soaring through the roof, and I wanted the book to end. But I also didn't want it to end because I knew there'd be a terrible cliffhanger! Ugh! Such a good second book.

This is a solid series. The tropes feel a bit formulaic (evil council, reluctant mate, gay bestie) but the story is interesting and I want to know what happens next. I will definitely finish the series.

After finding out that Olivia is indeed a Goddess and not just a demigod (as we all thought in book one) now she and the guys Adrian, Kyros, Mateo, and Maximus must navigate a whole new danger filled with action & suspicious people. Be prepared to laugh so hard you cry at some parts as well.
so pick some tissues because you defenitly need those!!

OBSESSED with book 1 so I was beyond excited to get my grabby little hands on this!!! GAAAAHHHH!!!! I don't want to give away spoilers, but it was soooo worth the wait and it picks up straight where book 1 left us.
The characters all go through so much development and so do their relationships. Rachel is doing a fantastic job of balancing the story between them.
But are you KIDDING ME with that ending????!!!! I barely survived the first cliffhanger and this one kicked the legs right our of me. Oh my days, the wait for book 3 is already too long! Congratulations Rachel, it's another great book and another epic hangover!

This second book is even better than the first one! The growth of the FMC Liv is exceptional, she goes from being a spoilt, rich, party girl, to a Goddess who takes her powers seriously and who considers her actions before doing them. It's a natural progression and I'm so glad for it! Her four Gods go through their own emotional journeys in this book. If the first book is introducing the world and the characters, this book is definitely the growth of their relationships and all of their own ways of dealing with not being a single person but part of a group, a family group. The side characters also get their moments in the sun and I am here for it! The ending kind of rips your heart out, but I am already anticipating what will happen next and I love a good wait!

Just Keeps Getting Better!! 5⭐️
Another amazing page turner. I loooved watching Olivia embracing her powers and her mates. And the strength she exhibited overcoming her insecurities was inspiring. I really appreciated how each of her relationships with her mates evolved uniquely at their own pace and don’t get me started on all the WTH moments in this book…right down to the last page…*gasp* 😯!!!! Rachel Callahan is an author to watch. She continues to captivate me in the most wonderful way!!!
