Rate this book
I've danced for some powerful and deadly men. But lately, instead of dollars, I'm collecting death warrants.

I’ve always played with danger. And as long as I followed the rules, I told myself I’d always be safe.

One night is all it took, one mistake, and now every damned mafia criminal in the Black Spades gang is after me.

But so are the Kings of Eden.

Cassius, Dracon, and Knox-- they're monsters that would make the devil's serpent look like an inchworm.

They want to play with me, break me, rule me.

What they don't know is that I'll never fall to my knees... even if that's exactly where they want me.

Hm.
Hmm.
Hmmmm.
I'm not sure how I feel.

I like it... but I don't think I love it. Mostly, I don't like anyone.

Eve is lowkey boring? In a Mary Sue done poorly kind of way. She's feisty in a way that feels almost childish and petty, but the author obviously wants to be her being badass and strong. Her childhood backstory with her mom feels way too blown out of proportion - I think she should have moved on from this especially since everyone in her life now appears to be super amazing. She's supposedly so smart and hardworking - with a math degree - but she's a stripper? I just. Reading this, Eve is meant to be a badass woman, pulling herself up by the bootstraps - hurrah! However, the fact that she cowers to Draco's dragon rampage, is constantly battling her horniness despite not liking the guys, and seemingly does this so impulsively muddles that picture. It's wishy washy, and I hate wishy washy fmcs.

Plus, the guys are assholes! Not in a sexy way. They are just possessive, domineering, controlling assholes. I don't find them that redeemable, and I've definitely read my fair share of dark, alphahole smut. They don't seem to have any affection for Eve other than, "She's mine". It has nothing to do with her, some fated mates things, or anything. Purely possession. . Also, they are CRAZY. Insane. It's not endearing. In a different setting, a different world, with a different fmc, this could probably work. Here, it just didn't jive with me.

I will admit the smut is smutty, but it wouldn't be for everyone. It's almost all dubcon, pretty aggressive hate sex. Like, our first hint of steam is when Knox is literally carving Eve up, and he's into it. There's a whole bit where Eve (under the influence of mysterious magic drugs) thinks that Knox dismembering a vampire is sexy, downright arousing. Ew. But, y'know, besides blood play, if you like dark stuff, sure, this is fine. Nothing outright rapey.

But ultimately, I hate the ending. I hated it. I knew a cliffy was coming (you are warned), and that doesn't necessarily bother me, but I really didn't like this one.

Through in some editing errors and plot inconsistencies (ex: what Eve's wearing changes from a dress to pants), and this just isn't my fav.

Edit to add: I hate that we refer to Eve's boobs TWICE as "DDD's". Feels very male-gazey and fundamentally means nothing. Ladies, please understand that cup size is relative to band size and most people are wearing the wrong bra size.

I genuinely enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I’ve been in a reading slump and this was the perfect book to get me out of it! The story kept my attention and I was able to read this book in two sittings (which is amazing for being in a reading slump lol)

This book had a crime organization + paranormal notes all in one. Let’s not forget how the four horseman/ Apocalypse was also incorporated into this story! I felt like this one was a little bit different from just the standard pnr why choose or mafia why choose romances, since it incorporates so many of those into one.

I wasn’t a huge fan of how the guys treated her in the beggining but I’m warming up to them. I also wasn’t a fan of one of the guys giving her a taste of a drug when she didn’t want to taste it, but I hope he is redeemable.

Tropes:
• captor/ captive vibes
• paranormal + crime why choose
• enemies to lovers
• 3 guys in the harem
• plot twists + action
• cliffhanger (this is a 3 book series!)
• stripper FMC with unknown powers
• hate sex
• touch her and you 🔪 vibes

Safety:
• no virgins
• attempted SA scene (not by one of the Hs) for the heroine
• no info on h’s past but she doesn’t seem like she sleeps around a ton
• H1 hasn’t felt anything for a woman in a long time. It seems like he has been celibate for a while. He has never been in love before.
• H2 seems to be in to causal hookups every now and then
• H3 is the most “manwhoreish” out of the 3. He seems to sleep around a lot but he hasn’t since he met the h.
• No OM drama besides a few other men hitting on the h. she turns them down
• No OW drama or previous hookups showing up
• it was mentioned one time that H3 went to rehab and ended up dating his life coach for a few months. it was also mentioned that H3 had a one night stand with a girl in Hell who was infatuated with him. No drama occurs, just one mention of this ONS.
• no condoms

What should have been a regular night of work at Kat's Kradle for Eve Dalton, ends up changing her life for the worse. A powerful mob boss has set his sights on her, and nothing will keep him from his prize. Despite her predicament, Eve can handle her own and manages to escape... Only to fall into the hands of another powerful crime organization-- The Kings of Eden. Dracon, Knox, and Cassius aren't your normal crime bosses though, they're supes--an Apex shifter, a demon, and one of the Four Horsemen, and they're all hellbent on finding out who and what Eve is.

I absolutely LOVED Eve's character--she's smart, snarky, an absolute badass, and a fighter (homegirl has been through some shit). Even though she's in a bit of a bind aka being held prisoner by The Kings, AND subsequently thrown into the middle of multiple turf wars/alliances, she handles things pretty well. Really looking to see how the dynamic between her and The Kings changes after that fricking cliffhanger of an ending!

I started this book, and then one of my loans became available on Libby (21 days to read it) and then another and another and so on. Well, since I actually OWN this book, it got put on the backburner until I had a free moment to finish it.

That being said, I still really enjoyed it! It had all the elements I enjoy in dark romances and the addition of supernatural beings? Yes, please. I loved all three of these crazy guys, and Eve was a genuinely interesting FMC. She could hold her own. Love the enemies to lovers, why choose vibes of this book, and the spice was spicing 👌🌶.

Sadly, the book ended on a cliffhanger, and I don't own book 2 or have KU anymore 😭. Nevertheless, it's going on my tbr in case I see it on sale or something.

Incest … Are you joking me.
I read the whole book and actually enjoyed it. How am I rewarded with liking the book, by having the very last page be a Mike drop moment that incest has occurred. I understand a cliffhanger but come on ….

I know the next book is going to somehow spin some shit that it wasn’t really incest and the stuff these two character did together is okay. Nope Nada 👎🏻 Thumbs down. I have it in my head now and I can’t read any more.

Why would she let me spend 6 hr reading this for that cliffhanger.

I did like the book until the last page so I’m still going to give it 2⭐️ (it was a 4), but do I feel like I’m giving 2⭐️’s to incest. A little bit yess.

Mila Young and Harper Brooks have teamed up to write a new series, Kings of Eden, a dark paranormal rh and it was great. A mixed bag of supernaturals, unknowing humans, criminals, and mafia. The story was interesting and the characters were all kinds of crazy.

There are three supernatural kingpins in the city of Andover, Dracon, Cassius, and Knox are known as the Kings of Eden. This is a dark romance, the guys are not good, not only are they criminals they reveal in the violence of it and they're also crazy as all get out. Okay Dracon isn't that bad, he has anger and control issues but Cassius is a thrill-seeker in the worst way, he's total chaos, while Knox is just plain crazy and obsessed with blood and torture. How these three unique supernaturals got together I will never know but it's quite obvious that they hold a tenuous peace, each is on a razor's edge because of their strong personalities but somehow they are also bonded, fighting, working, and living together, as a unit. They balance each other and keep each other in check while also watching each other backs and it works.

Somehow Eve comes across their path and things go up in smoke from there. Eve is strong, she had to be. Eve is a survivor and struggled to come up on top with not much support and the best thing about her is she doesn't take crap lying down, she is a fighter and will do anything to survive. Including facing off with the Kings. There is this weird dynamic of hate and desire on both sides and turns out the longer Eve is with the guys turns out she's just as crazy as the guys. Who knew.

I love a good paranormal mafia story and I got it with Kings. The story was mostly setting up the main characters but there were also glimpses into the criminal Underworld the guys live in. A slew of tenuous alliances, problematic deals, different supernaturals, and a life of luxury. Not to mention the mystery of Eve herself because something most definitely is up with her. Plus the guys are really interesting, their dark and mysterious pasts, and them being unique supernaturals all add layers to the story. I would love to know more especially about Knox because he's something else altogether and I wanna know how his story blends into this world.

Kings of Eden was a great read and just the start of Eve's story. Things got a little crazy at the end and some stunning revelations were revealed that has me asking all kinds of questions. I can't wait to see where Mila and Harper take the rest of the series.

Kings of Eden by Mila Young and Harper A. Brooks is a dark paranormal romance that will take you on captivating ride through the seedy underworld of society and will have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what’s to come!

Eve, our fierce and sexy FMC, is a woman that has lived a hard life and come out as a survivor. Leaving home at 16 she has found her way to the city where she now is a highly sought after and extremely desired dancer—one that has unfortunately caught the eye of a n evil man that doesn’t take no for an answer, and who also happens to be one of the three leading factions of the city. When things quickly escalate, Eve finds herself in the in the clutches of the Kings of Eden, another crime syndicate in the city.

The Kings meanwhile may have bitten off more than they can chew with Eve. Even though all three men, Dracon, Knox and Cassius, are pure alphas in their own right and are each powerful supernaturals, they each find themselves unexpectedly drawn to Eve—each wanting to claim and posses her for themselves. And not always willing to share. When they discover that Eve isn’t as “normal” as she appears or thinks, with her own strange and unique power, they’re not sure if they should kill her or keep her. When they discover that all the other factions of the city are suddenly after Eve to claim her for themselves they realize they may just want her after all…

I loved how the story built up the chemistry between the four, giving us just enough snippets of hot steamy fire here and there to keep us enthralled. The alpha possessiveness that each man feels for Eve is off the charts and I love how they’re all connected by their shared darkness. Eve meanwhile is independently fierce—even in the face of great danger. She’s willing to fight for what she believes in and especially for her freedom. Keeping the Limgs on their toes at every turn and not afraid to butt heads with the fiercest of them all.

Overall this book was deliciously dark and beautifully twisted with captivating characters and a story line that pulls you right in! It does end on a tantalizing cliffhanger so I definitely need book 2 asap!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

These two fabulous authors have done it again!! They have created one captivatingly dark new world for us to visit. Eve is a dancer with some skill making everyone want her which was good until an extremely dangerous mafia boss sets his sights on her. After some surprise twists she finds herself with a group of three dangerously hot and powerful bosses in their own right which will change her life as she knows it. This book has me hooked so now I totally need the next one to see what happens. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Kings of Eden by Mila Young and Harper A Brooks is a twisted tale of a dancer taken when a man sets his eyes on her being his prize for the night. Despite the dire circumstances she manages to escape but with consequences and only finds herself prey to someone far more deadly. Can I just say I LOVE Eve! Despite it all she’s got a real fighting spirit and snark that possibly gets her into more trouble but even so she rocks it. Definitely looking forward to seeing how things continue to change after that ending! I’m definitely ready for book two!

Eve is an exotic dancer with a bit of magic. When she has the misfortune to catch the attention of a local crime boss in town. When she finds herself in a bad situation she manages to flee, only to be caught in another.

I love the paranormal twist in this dark mafia read. It kept me on the edge of my seat, needing to read the entire thing, only to be thrown for a loop with the ending. Looking forward to the next book.

It was good but didn't really like how quickly she forgave them ,Knox tortured her and SHE apologize when she flinched. Dracon was dangling her out from a window to prove she could never leave and she was like let's fuck . And Cassian giving her a taste of drugs even though she didn't want too. And don't get me started at the last scene where knox just instantly think that she is his enemy...i still liked it and will read the next one .

This was a great book. I loved all the dark elements in it. Eve's life changes dramatically after a gangster takes notice of her. On the run she meets the Kings of Eden but they are not what they appear. Eve is a brave and strong FMC and her men are dark and dangerous monsters you will fall in love with.

This is a great bully romance! The world building in amazing, the characters are true alphaholes and the storyline is dark, exciting, intriguing and a real page turner! Eve is strong, snarky and full of sass and finds herself captive of the Kings of Eden. Dracon, Cassius, Knox are totally psychotic criminals and murderers and they want Eve. With a unique and steamy storyline I am eager to see where the author takes us in the next book!

🎶 Now pretty baby I'm runnin back home to you. Fresh out the slammer 🎶

Evelyn Dalton (h) is a survivor. She's been on her own for as long as she can remember, always looking over her shoulder, never staying in one place for too long. But when she's captured by the notorious Kings of Eden - Dracon, Cassius, and Knox (H) - her life is forever changed. The three supes, feared and respected by all, take Eve captive, but to her surprise, they don't harm her. Instead, they protect her from the dangers that lurk in the shadows, and she begins to see them as more than just ruthless.

*•.¸♡ ·´¯`·.·★ THOUGHTS
“You’re not going anywhere,” I murmur in her ear before pushing her back into the room.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” I say, eyeing her.

“I hope you know that I don’t plan on staying,” she replies.

First off, let's talk about, Eve. She's a total boss, and I love her for it. This girl has been through some serious crap and still manages to come out on top, even when it seems like all hope is lost. She's fierce, determined, and refuses to back down from a fight. ❤️‍🔥 These guys think they can manipulate her, but Eve is having none of it. She's got attitude, sass, and a whole lot of spunk. Dracon, Cassius, and Knox are all alpha-male types who will stop at nothing to get what they want. And trust me, they want Eve. Big time. But here's the thing - they're not just after her body. They're drawn to her power, and she's got some serious mojo going on. From the get-go, it's clear that the “Kings of Eden” are all about control and power. They're like a force to be reckoned with, and yet, they're inexplicably drawn to Eve. I mean, who wouldn't be? She's smart, sassy, and doesn't back down from a fight. But what I love most about Eve is that she's not a doormat 💖. She's not afraid to stand her ground and assert her independence, even when faced with the overwhelming presence of these alpha males.😙

“Have you thought of asking nicely?” she gasps between raspy breaths. “Because fear mongering does nothing for me.”

“This is me asking nicely. Otherwise you’d be dead.”

“I’d hate to see how you treat your girlfriend.”

As the story unfolds, we see each of them struggling to understand their own emotions and desires. They're all possessive and protective of Eve, but they're also unsure of how to handle their growing feelings for her. Meanwhile, Eve is trying to stay one step ahead of them, refusing to be intimidated or manipulated. THATS MY GIRL 💗💞💕💕💝💖 One thing that really stood out to me was the way each of the men reacted to Eve's strength. They were all taken aback by her determination and refusal to back down, but rather than being intimidated or threatened, they were drawn to her even more. It's like they were fascinated by this firecracker who refused to be tamed. Men, when a woman won’t submit 😦.

[Dracon]

“Have you ever fucked like this?”

“Fucked as a dragon? Can’t say I have. Fucked from a great height? Why do you want to know?”

“No more waiting.” My words are a growl. “You’re mine. Mine.”

Okay, so Dracon is a dragon, which is already pretty cool, but what's even more interesting is how he treats Eve - like she's his treasured possession. It's a classic dragon trait, but it gets a bit too much at times. I mean, I get it, he's a broody, possessive alpha male, but sometimes Eve just wants to have some autonomy over her own life. You know, the ability to go where she wants, when she wants? It's not too much to ask, right? But here's the thing: as the story progresses, you start to see changes in Dracon. He's soft torture at times, and it's hard to understand why he's acting this way. One minute he's lashing out at Eve, and the next he's protecting her with his life. It's like he's trying to figure out how to be in a relationship with someone without losing his dragon senses. And that's where the story gets really interesting. The dynamic between Eve and Dracon is all over the place, but in a good way. It's like you're right there with them, feeling the tension and uncertainty of their relationship. It's not always easy to read, but it's definitely worth it.

[Cassius]

“Fuck you. All of you.”

“If you wish,” Cassius muses.

He's the "nice" one in the group, and I use that term loosely because, let's be real, he's holding Eve captive. But, despite his rough exterior, there's this...softness around him that's hard to ignore. He's drawn to Eve's physical beauty, and it's clear that he wants her in a way that's both unsettling and fascinating. What I loved about Cassius is his gentleness towards Eve. He's not like the others, who seem to take pleasure in causing her suffering. No, Cassius is different. He has a way of checking in on her, of making sure she's okay, even when things are chaotic. It's like he has a connection to her that goes beyond just physical attraction. Eve is desperate to escape, to break free from Cassius's grasp, but at the same time, she's drawn to him in a way that she can't explain.

[Knox]

“I’ll slit all your throats while you sleep.”

“Is that a promise?” Knox asks.

“You have no idea who you’re dealing with, do you?”

Eve's snarky comments and sassiness had me laughing, and Knox's brooding nature and eerie presence had me intrigued. But what really drew me in was the push-and-pull dynamic between them. It's like they're simultaneously trying to destroy each other and somehow, somehow, they're drawn to each other. Knox doesn't understand why he's so drawn to Eve. He's never felt this way before, and it's like his whole world has been turned upside down. He's used to being in control, being the one calling the shots, but Eve is different. She's like a puzzle he can't figure out, and it's driving him crazy. Knox, aka Death, is one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and his whole vibe is dark and menacing. But beneath that tough exterior, he's got this... vulnerability? It's like he's never felt anything like this before, and it's both terrifying and fascinating. His obsession with Eve is both unhinged and captivating at the same time.

Eve, on the other hand, is a total mess. She's got this prickly exterior that's trying to keep her safe, but deep down, she's struggling to understand these feelings she's developing for Knox. It's like she's torn between her hatred for him and this weird attraction that's slowly consuming her. Their relationship is like a trainwreck – you can't look away. It's like they're constantly teetering on the edge of chaos, but somehow, they find a way to make it work. Well, sort of. There are moments when you're like, "Girl, what are you doing?" But Eve's determination to understand Knox and her own feelings is admirable. But, here's the thing: PLOT TWIST. Eve is his brother's daughter. Like, his BROTHER'S DAUGHTER! I know, I know, it just turned into a total taboo romance. She’s the Daughter of Chaos 😦 YIKES.

[All]

“You need to learn who’s in charge,” I begin as I trail my nose down her neck. “You will stay here until I’m satisfied with everything you have to tell me.”

“And we learn how she was able to wield my blade,” Knox calls from my side.

They're all drawn to each other like moths to a flame, but they're also constantly pushing each other's buttons. Eve's determination to stay independent drives them all crazy, but it's also what makes them want her more. It's like they're trying to tame her wild spirit, but she's having none of it. Eve refused to be intimidated by these supes. She's not some damsel in distress waiting to be rescued; she's a strong, capable woman who can take care of herself. And when things get intense, she doesn't back down - she fights back. 🤭

*•.・·♡¸ 。·★: OVERALL *.·♡¸ .*:·★゚.*•.

If you're looking for a book that will transport you to another world and keep you enthralled until the very end, then "Kings of Eden" is the perfect choice. The cliffhanger might be a dealbreaker, I won’t lie 😦.

It's THAT bad

These authors have a great story. They have rich, interesting characters. The authors should seriously consider hiring a professional editor. The mistakes weren't only grammatical, though those are plentiful. Just a couple of examples, a 7ft tall H has the h against a wall with his feet between hers, hot right? Until he cranes his head BACK? to look at her. Ruined scene. Then there's a security door the authors go to great lengths to describe for the reader, then forget its existence throughout the story. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. These are just examples of the MANY inconsistencies that a reader is supposed to reconcile and wade through. It was enough, I gave up at 75% when it became clear that, even though these characters were off the charts wonderful, it's a straight up cliffhanger that i cannot talk myself into wading through the writing. I will never know and that says a lot for a hard-core romance reader to come to terms with.

This is the first in the series and it really hooks you! This is a dark paranormal rh that was really engaging. It doesn't feel like a paranormal at first ( if that makes sense), Eve really tries to live as normal as a life as she can but the book slowly pulls you into a paranormal world and the next thing you know, you are surrounded by a diverse selection of unique and interesting beings with morally grey intentions, slight insanity and violence all around. Eve has a lot to deal with when Dracon, Cassius and Knox invade her life, altering her plans of a quiet hidden life and she doesn’t go quietly! The dynamics between these 4 is oh so entertaining and infuriating and everything in between! These characters are so well done! It was an awesome read and fantastic start to the series. These characters, the world building , the intrigue , tension and steam, ah! So so good! I loved it all.

One of the worst books i have EVER read. I don’t typically write reviews and I’m also very easy to please when it comes to a book. This book however… immediately needed to put my thoughts in writing. I received it in a “blind date with a book” gifted to me. The writing felt extremely juvenile, like something you’d read on Wattpad written by a middle schooler. I found the characters to be cringey right off the bat. Then five minutes into meeting the FMC, one of the MMCs finger bangs her and she’s into it… despite the fact that she has been kidnapped and harmed?

The MMCs all gave terrible sex offender vibes, especially with the way they all immediately gravitated towards FMC’s body in the most disgusting ways. The first things they notice about her is her boobs and ass and how much they want to fuck her? It felt disgusting the way they thought about her. It’s very clear this book is supposed to be for that spicy booktok niche with that whole “touch her and you die” thing. In reality, the MMCs weren’t giving sexy morally grey… they were giving sex offender douche bag vibes. Especially after Cassian carves his name into Eve’s thigh non-consensually and we’re… supposed to find this hot? Same guy also forces her to take drugs, even when she says no. They constantly trampled on her boundaries and she did not care.

I eventually just came to accept all of the dubcon and whatnot because the book is targeted towards a specific set of women and it very clearly had found its way to that audience. Hey, smut sells. I even pushed passed one of the characters, who is supposed to be a demon, unironically saying “unalive”. The book was riddled with horrible grammar mistakes and plot holes. It honestly could’ve been written by AI with how terrible the actual writing is.

I managed to ignore all of these issues and get all the way to the end. Which is where I’m immediately hit with an INCEST cliffhanger! What?!? The cliffhanger was incredibly predictable but I decided it was impossible for my guess to be right because… well, INCEST! Any love I could’ve dug out of my soul for this book was immediately destroyed. I was honestly appalled to see the book had such good reviews after that ending! Ladies, if we’re gonna read such dubious smut… can we at least keep an incest plot out of it????

I cannot put into words how much I hated this book. It was horribly cringey, horribly written, horribly flawed in every single way. I’m convinced all of these 4 and 5 star reviews have to be bought or something because this was the WORST book i’ve ever laid my eyes on.

If you read this far, thanks for listening to my rage-induced review. There is so much more I could say, but I desperately want to forget I ever read this book.

General short opinion: Characters are good, Spicy scenes are spicy, the plot might be a bit predictable but we read spicy books for the spice.

❗️Might contain small spoilers❗️
I love Eve’s personality she’s a bad ass who can handle herself and doesn’t need the help of others. Despite this I’m personally disappointed in the description of her body. It kind of feels like she’s described from the “male’s gaze” big no excuse me huge boobs, big ass and a blonde. Especially since it’s the body type of the 2020 era with people like the Kardashians and others, this disappointed me.

The three kings description I really love on the other hand! All three of them are very different and the way they like to play is also dependent on there personal interests. Aside from that the characteristics from their non human forms are used very well in the intimate scenes. Our main character has a special but different connection to all of them. And i loved that the Alpha wasn’t the first to “pop her cherry”.

The storyline is good we are introduced to a bunch of different creatures and backstories. It’s easy to follow and not too complicated. I really like all the different gangs anw what distinguishes them.

The only reason i’m not giving this a 5 star rating is that the story was too short. Things happened really fast it jumped from one scene to the other. The spicy scenes included. I mean there are 3 of them there is so much more you could write. It really gets my heart beating when there is a slow burn from being into each other to “it” finally happening. After reading the first book it left me wanting more.

I haven’t read the second book yet but i know it’s around 300 pages again so I already know i will be left with hunger again once i finish it.

Hope this is helpful to someone!

A slow burn hot pnr gang related tale revolving around a girl that stumbles into a world she didn't really know but belongs in.... Yet could destroy the world with a twitch of her hand.

Evr is a dancer at Kats Kradle when she catches the eye of Xavirr Franco, the leader of the Black Spades, one of the roughest human gangs around. Despite everyone fleeing the strip joint and her trying, she's caught by one of his bodyguards and forced into a date.... That goes horribly wrong and is the cause of the beginning of a war between pretty much every gang ... Supe or human.

Eve ends up being scooped up by the King's of Eden without knowing its them... When she finds out she tries leaving.. But fails. Her magic is uncontrollable. She never uses it so has no control over it. Dracon, an Apex Predator runs the gang, Cassius, a demon, who seems more light hearted than the others, and Knox, Death of the horsemen who has been trapped on earth.

Some time down the line they face off War. He's The reason for Knoxs entrapment and they discover more about Eve.

I love the mismatch of Supes in the little gang of kings of Eden. Are they friends? They seem to barely tolerate each other, but won't leave each other. How far will they push each other to see their limits?

Eve seems to be a cornerstone. With her to concentrate on, the tension drops... Until the possessive Alpha in each of them rises with jealousy!! And then there's the fact of who eve actually is. This could change everything.....

Well written, fun to read, good length of book, the chemistry was great between eve and all three, but the jealousy is a massive issue which I haven't seen as big before... Fun to see how it goes!

Book two.....!!

Eve works as a dancer in a club. A mob boss takes a liking to her and she can't say no when he wants to take her out. She thinks it'll just be a date but he pushes for more and isn't going to take no for an answer. She's no pushover though and fights back and runs, which lands her in hot water with the mob bosses people who are out to get her.

Knox is a King of Eden, he is also Death. Like in the 4 horseman of the apocalypse, Death. He's in a warehouse looking for his blade when he spots Eve who has been kidnapped and is fighting off the mob bosses people. When Knox spots Eve handle his blade when no one else should be able to handle it without dying, he decides that she must be possessed with his dead brother's spirit and he kidnaps her, tortures her trying to get her to confess that she's possessed. When the other two Kings in the house see her, they try to convince Knox that she's not possessed but that she has to have some other kind of magic that allowed her to wield his blade without dying.

There was so much drama, fighting, danger and insane romance in this book that made it exciting. The fact that these three guys are crazier than all get out made it interesting to read. Plus when Eve starts having feelings for all three of them for different reasons and it looks like they are reciprocating those feelings, things start to get a lot more romance than blood and gore, which made the story fun.

There's a lot more to Eve than we first think but this book ended on a cliffhanger which I really hated. There was so much left open and unfinished that it left me feeling like I only read part of the book and it ended abruptly. It had so much potential but it didn't feel like an entire book. So I doubt I'll read anymore of this series.

Eve, a young exotic dancer starts her evening with what she assumes will be her normal routine on stage - eliciting the looks and cash from many men who come to Kat’s Kradle. However, while performing she notices a massive and intimidating man watching her intently. She doesn’t know this man and doesn’t get any vibes of the man being a ‘supe’. After getting off stage, she talks to some of her friends and finds out that the massive man is Xavier Franco, the head of the Black Spade - one of the biggest kingpins in the city. After closing down early for the night, one of Franco’s body guards finds Eve and insists that she put on a dress bought by Franco and to come see him where he awaits in his limo. After fighting to keep her modesty and possibly her life, Eve is essentially on the run from the Black Spades and their kingpin. She ends up getting caught and brought to a warehouse where an unsuspecting man awaits in the shadows. Knox, our unsuspecting man is enamored with this spunky girl he see’s and decides to aid her when she flees, especially when Knox notices that she has something of his. Knox captures Eve and thus begins a love/hate relationship with the Kings of Eden: Knox, Dracon, and Cassius.

I urge anyone who enjoys mafia reverse harems to pick this book up and go along on this ride. Filled with action, twists, turns, and spice - Mila Young and Harper Brooks give one hell of an opening book for this series. The storyline and characters were shaped beautifully and I enjoyed the world building that was done.

Starts out with a great storyline, but too many "interruptions".
This is a world where humans live with "supes" (supernaturals). The FMC doesn't know what she is, other than human with some sort of power she locks down. The MMC's consists of a demon, a shifter, and death. They all seem pretty interesting. But the thing is, I had to stop to write a review at 40% and that's never good.
The mistakes in the writting take away so much from the storyline. The authors need to hire a (better) editor. The mistakes aren't only grammatical, though that is the majority. It's consistency. Small, non spoiler examples: Eve is wearing a dress, she pulls it down, walks into the hallway, encounters one of the MMC, and he rips her pants off, leaving her in only her shirt. I had to go back and re-read several pages to make sure I didn't miss her changing. They install a security door with a keypad lock, and it's mostly there, she's hears it beep when they engage it. Except for when it's convient for the authors to forget it's there.
There are enough mistakes to constantly pull you out of the story. And then the romance, spice, and relationship building isn't enough to keep you interested. It's one of those I hate you, but I just can't help myself around you attraction and I just want to roll my eyes. There is no reason or explanation for them all being together other than they all look hot, and she is big chested -it mentions her DDD bra size several times.
UPDATE - I quit reading, DNF at around 74%. I also want to add it's alot like Den of Vipers. I couldn't finish that book either. But this one has a better storyline and less annoying characters.
