Great intro to wicca

This book gives the basic foundation of what the Wicca path believes. I think it is presented in a unique way. The first few chapters looks at wha it true about the wicca belief, what are it basic tenets, and dispels commonly held myths. I think this is more i interesting to read than simply paragraph after paragraph of dry information. Then we get into how to choose the path of wicca that suits you and your goals and beliefs. There are also some basic beginner spells to work through. Overall, I learned a lot. I did take off one star because I noticed quite a few spelling errors or grammatical mistakes. Not a huge deal, but the mistakes distract from the great material.

I adore this book.

I consider myself to be an eclectic pagan witch, and I feel like I gained quite a bit from this book. At the very least, I am a lot more comfortable with calling myself a witch and being proud of my path.

I may even follow the Wiccan path after this. Who knows? Okay, probably not. I don't like the specific labels and left Christianity to stop being forced to fit in a one-size-fits-all box. But I will definitely be incorporating more of the Wiccan practices and values into my own path because of all of the amazing things I gained here.

And of course there are a few simple spells that are included at the end. I feel like other books will include these complicated spells in books that are intended for beginners. But here, the author included spells that are suitable for anybody to try at any stage of their practice.

I also want to commend the author for his ability to burn though a number of topics efficiently and in a way that is beneficial to the reader. He covers things like the different Wiccan Paths, different tools, basic techniques, and overall a general understanding of what is mean to be a Wiccan. A ton of useful information is included in this book and I am so thankful that there wasn't a need for any fluff added to fill the space. I feel like there was something to gain on every page.

I LOVE how the author was able to pack this book full of information without droning on and on. He had this way of keeping the reader engaged while also getting straight to the point.

I feel like anyone who has an interest in Wicca or even Witchcraft, will have something to gain from this book. I think he has an interesting mindset and I will not hesitate to read more of his books in the future.

My ONE and Only complaint is that I wish the author would have mentioned the bit about taking notes for the readers book of shadows a bit earlier in the book. I got to that part and realized that I was so absorbed in the content that I completely forget to write down some usual information. I kicked myself in the behind, finished the book, and then read it a second time in order to take proper notes. lol.
