I can see what was intended here - a fuck boy who figures out his shit and falls in love - but I needed more parity between the MC's for this to work for me. By 70% 'the score' was True (H): 175 and Lonny (h):0. I despise a steam-rolled heroine. I don't care how strong/uncaring-on-the-outside the author made her - the reader is in her head and it wasn't a good time.
On the positive side (and the reason I'm rounding up), Lonny made a good attempt to even the score toward the end, the chemistry between these two was off the charts, and then that epilogue from True's POV really put his actions in perspective. I love this world and the characters in it. I'll absolutely continue the series!
No one told her to fall in love with me.This author is one of the romance world's hidden gems and she never fails to deliver. While this book wasn't my favorite, the writing was wonderful and kept me reading despite my rising blood pressure (and not in a good way.)😂

True Garza and London Bridge are the protagonists of this story and both have enchanted me.
London has just returned to LA and her uncle offers her a case that requires her to collaborate with the Garzas, and that is how she crosses paths with True again, the man who a year ago shared a torrid week with her in her cabin and whom she couldn't forget.
True Garza is the jokester of the family, while his twin Trent is more serious, but he also has his problems. In addition to being an inveterate womanizer, he has attention problems and quickly gets bored with things and women.
That's why London doesn't want to know anything about him at first because she knows that in the end she will end up suffering.
But it is very difficult to resist True, it has happened to me, he is a charming and irresistible character.
What I like most about London is that she is a total badass and she has the Garzas, especially True, firm, because this girl has a temperament that wow!
I highly recommend this book and the truth is that I am dying to read more about the Castellos, the twin kings of Las Vegas and the Garza cousins.

This was a great 5 star read.
True, where to start with True, I loved him. He originally met London when she was living in Denver, they had a great week but it never went further than that. London has now come to L.A., she is a very good P.I. and eventually gets a job with Red Cage and True is her boss. Things take a scary twist when London gets the attention of someone very dangerous.
Will London find who is after her? Will True and London give into their attraction?
Overall this was a great read. You could feel the attraction coming off the pages between these two, loved the teasing. I really enjoyed all of the characters and how great they all got along. Loved the bantering. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. My emotions were all over the place. If you're looking for a great romance that will have you on the edge of your seat this is the book for you. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Wow what a read! I was completely captivated from beginning to end. The characters were complex but so worth reading about. True – I don’t even know what to say about this character – I loved him then I hated him, then I loved him again! He is definitely one of those character who is so enjoyable to read about! I loved the twists and turns in the story! I loved London as well, she was a great character and a definitely match for True! The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts and I was secretly rooting for them!!
This really was an amazing read, a great storyline with amazing characters! I would 100% recommend it to other readers!

This was an incredible read! I loved reading this one so much. It was full of humor, Romance, witty banter, and some action. I was completely enthralled with this book and did not want to put it down. This is the third installment of a series, and I have not read the previous books in this series but I didn't feel like I was missing anything. This felt like a complete standalone to me, which is one reason why I decided to read this one. Kudos to the author though, this book was completely outstanding to me!

I have been an avid fan of this author since I discovered her several years ago. There is just something about the way that she crafts a story that speaks to me. I love her characters, their humor, and that the characters are authentic. She's not afraid to portray the flaws that a character has which, in turn, makes them even more relatable and authentic.
All of that was true in this case. I've been a fan of True since he was first introduced. From the beginning he was charismatic. I loved his interactions with Lexi and Lyra. I knew whatever woman would be his love interest was going to have to be a beast of a woman to get this man on the same path in life that Trent and Torn were on. I couldn't have asked for a better woman than London. This woman was fire. She went toe to toe with him and he needed that. I had to laugh at the names of London and her siblings too because as a mother of Storm and Rayni, I'm one of "those" mothers too!
The story did start out a little slower than normal, in my opinion, and was harder to get invested in but I knew to hold on because this author always takes me there. The chemistry and steamy times were fire and the cameos from the family members made me laugh. Getting to see glimpses of Stefano and Lorenzo were the icing on the cake. I know I shouldn't love those crazies but I sooooo do.
Looking forward to what comes next.

The True Garza is the first book I have read by this author. I saw it was book three to the series and a complete standalone so wasn’t worried I had missed out. I will definitely make sure to go back and read the first two though. I enjoyed this book immensely and want to know more about the other characters. The characters Ms Cole writes are complex and fully developed and secondary characters are still able to shine through just as much on their own.
This contemporary romance is intriguing and a little mysterious with a few twists and turns. With alpha characters both men and women, emotions and a little humour thrown in in some of the details the author writes it is an engaging read.
He has commitment issues. She has baggage but together they have seven hot and steamy Well that was all it was meant to be.
I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

True and Lonny have a heat like no other but their one week of nights was all it was until she shows up and True is now her boss at Rad Cage. this is well written steamy alpha characters, engaging story line and more. can be read as standalone but characters cross over.

London Bridge is furious. She is living with her sister, Brook, out of necessity rather than choice. She tries to bury her anger with alcohol. She has been in a downward spiral since her fiance chose to leave her for his ex, followed by her father’s death. Out of impulse, she allowed herself to pick up a one-night stand; only "Mateo" was everything she needed. After a week, Mateo returns to work. London ends up leaving her cabin in Colorado and moving in with her sister.
Despite blaming her mother and Uncle Walter for a painful divorce, "Lonny" agrees to meet with him for a job. As a private investigator who is well known for her ability to get her job done, Walter knows she is a perfect agent for the LXVI. However, he has a request for Lonny to contract with the infamous Red Cage Security. She accepts the assignment and goes to the company. After going through multiple security points, Lonny is escorted into a meeting room. There she meets Guy and her assigned partner, Sacha. She finally meets the man she slept with in Colorado. That said, the quality of this book exceeded my expectations with its unpredictable twists and well-developed characters. It is exceedingly easy to see how the Garza family is close-knit. I look forward to reading more books in the Red Cage series.

A full year has gone by and although London’s life has resumed to normal, she cannot stop thinking about that man she met in the woods. When she starts working with an agency called Red Cage, she comes face-to-face with the man she has not been able to stop thinking about. Never in her wildest dreams did London expect to see this man ever again, yet here he is and now he is her boss. Not only that but as it turns out, Mateo is not even his real name.
London and True were wonderful characters and you can almost feel the sexual tension between them. This was not something that either were willing to admit nor were they willing to give into. True is sexy, with a body that will not quit, and he oozes sexuality. Every woman lusts after him and not only does he know it but he thrives on the attention. True is used to getting what he wants and having women lavish him with gifts and attention. He has no desire to have a relationship or be tied down by any one woman. Lonny is strong willed, independent, hot headed, and does not back down from a challenge. She hits every obstacle head on and is a force to be reckoned with. Lonny is not the type of woman to be wooed by any man nor does she want a man to get in the way of her career. Neither Lonny nor True can deny there is a strong sexual attraction between them, but is that all it is?
This book leaves the reader running the gamut of emotions so be mentally prepared to be tugged in all sorts of directions. Some of the scenes between Lonny and True were downright steamy and almost leave you breathless. Other times you want to scream at them because they are both so pig headed and stubborn as they deny their feelings for each other. Then there are moments when we are brought to tears when learn about their past experiences and how it made them put up walls. Every so often we get a chuckle at some of the text messages between True and his brother’s wife, Lexi, when True asks for her advice. Very well written and the characters were likable and relatable. I highly recommend this book!

My first time to read by this author but will be back for more! This book offers romance and longing, mystery, hot scenes, dangerous action, great relationship building and offers us flawed, real humans as characters to get in to.
London is one tough woman who can hold her own, but after a series of tragedies in Denver, hiding out in a cabin to give herself a chance to heal, a very hot week with a stranger who gave a fake name and an intervention of sorts from her family - she's back in LA. As a highly trained and extremely competitive woman in a "man's world", London has learned she has to work harder, smarter, and take more risks to prove she is ahead of the game. As she comes back to join her Uncle Walter and brother in the special FBI unit, she finds she is assisting another, even more exclusive, agency in the business of protection. Red Cage is full of giant, imposing, very well trained men and now London is embedded in their business. As she learns about the job she is supposed to be doing, she finds HIM - the man who saved her from herself an entire year ago, while she was in isolation, and whom she hasn't stopped dreaming about since.
True is "the nice brother" in Red Cage and works with several of his brothers to run the agency. He loves action in the field and women, but he also never forgot the hot stranger he spent a week with 1 year ago. We find that True has ADHD and it both makes him great at what he does, and struggle with relationships. He has spent so long being chased and pursued by any number of women that he doesn't know how to have a relationship, or how to care about someone beyond his family - but he can't get London out of his mind.
London and True get under each others skin, so obsessed with one another that they can't stop what's happening between them - no matter how hard they both try. I especially love that this book has flawed humans who then find healthy ways to heal and be strong together. While this is book 3 in the series, it was a nice standalone and I didn't feel lost. Running off for book 1 in this series now!

The True Garza is about True, a vice president of Red Cage Security Company and London (Lonny), a former agent turned private contractor. Lonny has had a rough year with an assignment gone bad and the death of her father, so she decided to move to LA to live with her sister. However, in LA there is a hot fling she had over a year ago, in her dark time, that she can’t get out of her head, True. Well, she ends up working for his company but wasn’t aware at the beginning because when she knew him he went by a different name. Each had been pining for each other over the last year, however, the biggest problem is True is a big time playboy with commitment issues. The two of them form a really strange, sexual relationship - really an addiction to each other. However, while she is falling for him, he is a commitment phobe, so really where will this go. Will she stay? Will she leave him for a commitment? Do either of them have the willpower to leave this addiction? Only time will tell!
Let me put it this way, I want to go read the first two in the series if it is anything like this one. Where do I begin with all the things I loved about this book? One, I read it in 24 hours! Two, the main characters were amazing. They were playful, tons of banter, and amazing dom-sub smut!! However, Lonny is a badass, takes no shit, defends herself, and is an honest female lead. Granted, she has a submissive weakness for True, but doesn’t everyone have a weakness! While she is addicted to True, she is also very self-aware of that fact, but also stands her ground with him too! True, well you can feel all the angst he is going through over Lonny and I was totally there for it. This was one of my favorite types of books, a good plot with great smut!!

THIS story is ALWAYS on my Mind!! I can’t stop thinking about it when on those rare occasions I am not reading it. It is a simply captivating storyline to me. My favorite thing is the banter and strength of the characters. I can not get enough of True and Lonny in or out of the bedroom. They are electric! I also want to smack them both upside the head more than once for their actions or reactions but they did keep me on my toes!
The characters are spicy and ON FIRE to near combustible when together! I love Lonny (her name included)! She has the best attitude and she is smart, strong, salty and sassy enough to compete with the alpha males! Her once weakness is True. True lives a lifestyle that I am not sure I understand. There might be more info in previous stories but he seems very different. The more I learn the more I love him.
Secondary characters make me more than curious about the other couple books I have missed. They all seem to have interesting lives and situations and how they mix together. I look forward to reading their stories. Tripp and Tillie I really didn't identify with too much but we will see. Guy..now there is a man of mystery. Then there is the Castillo twins..wow! I was very interested in Lorenzo and Brook and will look for their story.

This book really brought on the WOW factor truly. It brought on emotions and feelings I was able to pick up between the characters. I was really invested into everything as I read, I was surprised at times and the tense moments really held my gip. The book was amazing start to finish!
The characters London and “The True Garza” both really brought a lot to the table. Garza had stuff from his past he had walls up over and issues that came to be because of his past. Lonny was a woman who was strong wiled. Despite her strength, sometimes we all need somebody. I loved that despite how much they really needed one another, they both had to work through scars and stuff they had endured to get to that point. The story was captivating and there was a lot of things learned through the insight f these two characters I was not sure how the book was going to turn out, sometimes no matter how bad you want something, pulling at that line certainly does not work out. I was very captivated and had my emotions all over as I read. I could not put this one down! Loved this book and the words it possessed!
Amazing book from start to finish! More than a well worth read. I highly recommend it. I would also recommend the others in the series prior to this one. This author is very skilled at all that they create and write. It is seriously a must-read book, and I do very much recommend it with all my heart!
The characters London and “The True Garza” both really brought a lot to the table. Garza had stuff from his past he had walls up over and issues that came to be because of his past. Lonny was a woman who was strong wiled. Despite her strength, sometimes we all need somebody. I loved that despite how much they really needed one another, they both had to work through scars and stuff they had endured to get to that point. The story was captivating and there was a lot of things learned through the insight f these two characters I was not sure how the book was going to turn out, sometimes no matter how bad you want something, pulling at that line certainly does not work out. I was very captivated and had my emotions all over as I read. I could not put this one down! Loved this book and the words it possessed!

Wow is all I can say about this book. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. There were parts of the book where I wanted to punch True in the throat but, he definitely redeemed himself until I wanted to do it again lol. The 2 main characters met one night at a bar while London was away from everyone drowning her sorrows. They spent 1 week together burning up the sheets and then they went their separate ways. Now London ( Lonny ) is back and ready to get to work a year later. Her family is strange. Her Uncle and Mom did some pretty shady stuff and Lonny will not forgive her mom. Her Uncle however is someone she must work with so she has to get along with him to a point. Once Lonny is back she thinks she sees True at a liquor store but he acts like he doesn’t know or remember her. It has been a year but she thought he would remember the hottest week they shared. She finds out later that the man she was wasn’t True. It was his twin brother!! She gets a job with the twins as her bosses but she doesn’t follow orders well. True keeps her close….closer then he should. He still has feelings for her but refuses to admit it and basically uses her and then pushes her away. After reading how good this book was I wish I had read the others but now that I know what happens and who ends up together it is pointless.
This really is a great book and I’ll be looking for new reads from this author in the future!

Another must read novel, and another new series to indulge in for this reader. London Bridge is one hardheaded leading lady, and she knows that she is willing to fight for all that she wants in life, personally and professionally. Her personality and traits swirl off the pages, and I felt as though she was justified in her feelings when it came to all that were in her circle, and was elated, sad, heartbroken, and concerned throughout the story. True, wants for nothing but everything at the same time. He craves the attention of women and has developed many different interesting traits as a sure way to obtain said attention, which I can also relate to.
This novel had a touch of action, a huge gulp of sexual tension and lust, not to mention some very hot intimate scenes, and a whole lot of yearning for the one(s) we feel we can’t harness for ourselves, and only ourselves. This author made sure to keep the reader’s attention by adding more intrigue to the whole thing via some side stories through supporting characters and I so look forward to reading more by her. I especially love that they are all standalone novels, though will make much more sense with more information regarding the other folks in the Garza and Red Cage bubble. If you are looking for a hot read to tuck into bed with at the end of the day, this one is for you!

I have been an avid fan of this author since I discovered her several years ago. There is just something about the way that she crafts a story that speaks to me. I love her characters, their humor, and that the characters are authentic. She's not afraid to portray the flaws that a character has which, in turn, makes them even more relatable and authentic.
All of that was true in this case. I've been a fan of True since he was first introduced. From the beginning he was charismatic. I loved his interactions with Lexi and Lyra. I knew whatever woman would be his love interest was going to have to be a beast of a woman to get this man on the same path in life that Trent and Torn were on. I couldn't have asked for a better woman than London. This woman was fire. She went toe to toe with him and he needed that. I had to laugh at the names of London and her siblings too because as a mother of Storm and Rayni, I'm one of "those" mothers too!
The story did start out a little slower than normal, in my opinion, and was harder to get invested in but I knew to hold on because this author always takes me there. The chemistry and steamy times were fire and the cameos from the family members made me laugh. Getting to see glimpses of Stefano and Lorenzo was the icing on the cake. I know I shouldn't love those crazies but I sooooo do.
Looking forward to what comes next.

This is the 3rd book in the Red Cage Series. This is the first book I have read and I was able to follow the story so it can be read as a standalone book. The author does an amazing job with the characters and the story. The plot is full of twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing and hooked. I love Lonny. She is a strong and determined woman who does a dangerous job. She never had time for love or romance until an encounter with a certain man that blows her mind.
7 nights they were together and he rocked her world but that is all it was. Just a fling.
However Lonny can't forget him.
Now she is being hired to go undercover to capture some people who are trafficking woman. As if this wasn't complicated enough her boss is none other than the man she can't forget.
We are now taken on a rollercoaster of a journey as the need to work together to solve this crime. One false move and everything could go wrong and lead them into danger. But the attraction between them is so strong they may not be able to resist. Add to this the fact that both parties are hiding secrets and this is one story that will keep you hooked until the end.

The True Garza is the third book in the Red Cage series by S. Ann Cole. I had never read any of this author’s work before- but was won over by the enticing blurb. So I happily one-clicked a copy for myself and dove right in. I immediately knew I was going to love this book- and I am so excited to have found another author to add to my ‘must-read’ list.
Even though this is the third book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone, but my curiosity is well and truly piqued- I will definitely be going back to read the first two books in the series to ‘meet’ those characters in more detail- before continuing with the rest of the series.
This was a brilliant romantic suspense with action, chemistry, sizzle, tension, danger, intrigue, suspense, mystery, dramatic developments, and so much more. I was hooked right from the beginning and didn’t put the story down until I had read every single word.
I loved True and Lonny, even if there were times I wanted to shake True out of sheer frustration. I love the whole Garza gang and can’t wait to read the rest of the series so I can get to know them better.

I am just jumping into this series but I am going to catch up! I love the banter, the humor, the steam, the characters, and everything.

I am weak for a steamy romance and The True Garza certainly packed a punch. I loved Lonny (London), and her straightforward I-do-things-my-way attitude. She doesn’t feel intimidated or inferior to any man and she is very successful at her job as a private investigator, even if she struggles at following orders. However, she will do practically anything for True Garza, who was once her week-long fling in Denver and now, a year later, is her boss when she takes a job at Red Cage in L.A. As things continually become more complicated and emotionally charged between them, their deeply imprinted flaws and events from hurtful pasts make it hard for them to be able to fully intertwine.
While there were times this story had me cringing and my eyes rolling, I loved this book and I honestly couldn’t put it down once I started. The story can be read as a standalone, but I will be going back and reading the first two books!

This is the 3rd book in the contemporary romance series but can be read as a standalone. I had not read any of the previous books and did not feel that I was missing any necessary information. The author does a great job of making sure you have all the information needed to understand and enjoy the story. I really enjoyed this book and would love to go back and read the first 2 books to see what I missed.
I really loved reading True and London (Lonny)’s story. Having 2 children with ADHD, I loved that the author chose to have a leading character with this condition, showing some of the ways that this can affect people.
True and London are both great characters that I really enjoyed reading about. London is a total kick-ass female character, full of sass and extremely feisty.
The storyline was one that I really enjoyed. I was drawn into the story very quickly and was kept captivated and entertained throughout.
I’d definitely recommend this book to others.

Once you start to read True Garza and get into Trueman and Londons story you will be immersed and unable to come up for air until you have devoured every last page. I can attest to feeling that way throughout the 24 hours it took me to read this, I just couldn’t stop! I appreciated the real life struggles that True suffered with because as someone who has also been given a diagnosis of ADHD it can be as debilitating and difficult to control as he describes in this book. It takes so much work all the time, being cognizant of what is expected of you, and to ‘try’ to be normal and not speak as Guy in this book states like “tripping over a bunch of wires.” I liked that this book was spicy but that wasn’t the sole focus, there was plenty to follow and love in the interesting storyline as well. This was a fabulous 5 star read and I loved it and the entire Red Cage series so far!

This installment of the series focuses on twin True Garza. He's a complicated man with ADHD, commitment issues, but is loyal to those he cares about. His attraction, London aka Lonny also has her own set of baggage and is used to "going it alone" rather than being part of a team. This book delves into their relationship at work and at home. The book does give us a glimpse into other relationships in their lives with their friends, families, and co-workers as the author sets us up for future books. I'm not sure how I would classify this book - romance, protector, alpha male/alpha female. While I enjoyed their relationship, I think the story could of had more focus, direction, or plot development. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book has action, sarcasm, and a lot of steamy scenes. This book will keep you locked in! I finished it in a day. I loved it so much that I will go back and read the two before it and hope that more will come out!

Things take an interesting twist after that. Her boss is a womanizer and she can’t seem to keep away from him no matter how hard she tries. London is one tough girl who takes what she wants and doesn’t back down. Even with all this, her life isn’t always easy. But she makes it the best that she can. Read this book and indulge yourself with all the great pleasures Lonny receives.

London went through a dark patch in life and it’s that dark time she met True and together they had the most intense and memorable week but their paths parted after that so I can imagine the shock when they meet up again under very different circumstances….
There were funny moments and some seriously tense moments but every page of this read was a sensory treat ! A definite read to shout from the rooftops !

Holy H*ll this book was smoking hot! I was instantly captivated by True and London’s story. Lonny is a true badass and I love how she easily banters back and forth with True and holds her own. True is hot and always ready, except he can’t commit if his life depended on it. When they first meet and have a scorching fling in the woods, they both didn’t realize the impact that encounter would have on each of them. Fast forward a year and thousands of miles later, and they meet again when Lonny unknowingly starts working for True’s company. Their attraction and addiction to each other is apocalyptic. Throw in a mystery full of danger and unexpected turns, makes this 5 star book a page turner. Be prepared to be up all night reading it! I can’t wait to read the other titles in this series.

I won’t waste your time by giving a rundown of the whole book, but I will STRONGLY suggest that you check out this author and this book in particular. Even if you haven’t read the others in the series, it is a complete standalone. Lonny is a quick-witted, smart-mouthed, feisty little rebel and I just LOVE her character. This author is a master at setting the scene for all of your senses. You truly feel like you are experiencing the action right along with them. And, oh boy, is there some serious action and delicious smut! It took a bit longer for me to experience the “True Effect”, but it was inevitable for fall for True as well. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and I insist that you start reading STAT!
