Building Generational Ties of Love
Family is everything, and when a family falls apart, it can impact an individual’s whole life. Allie Mulberry understood family; she knew the devotion that her grandfather, Linc had shared for years with his wife. Together, they had created a business—Mulberry Bakery—and they had started a family with the birth of Allie’s dad. And for a while her dad and his best friend, Bridger Vargo had worked together at the family bakery.
But things do fall apart. Allie’s father and mother met, started a family and then married at a young age without the maturity to hold the family together. After Allie’s birth, her mom decided that she was not the family type. And, while he had his mom and dad, Allie’s dad was not strong enough to fight off his addictive demons as he tried to cope with the disappointments of life. So, Allie grew up at the bakery, learning the secrets of bread under the loving care of her grandparents, her dad’s childhood friend Bridger, and for a while, her dad until he succumbed to the demons of his addictions.
Now, after running the best bakery in town for 52 years, Linc has begun to step back, turning much of the daily baking responsibilities over—not to his absent son, but to his son’s best friend, Bridger. While in college, Allie had bounced from major to major, seeking any path different than the family business. So, when Allie comes to the bakery wanting her grandfather’s financial support to travel with friends to Paris to try her luck and talents in the fashion industry, she finds Bridger manning the bakery, not her granddad, and a line of customers waiting to enter the bakery with no line-breaking allowed—not even for the owner’s granddaughter! And, the 20-yr-old petite, blue-eyed brunette with amazingly long legs for her diminutive stature, discovers that she must negotiate her financing with her dad’s best friend, Bridger, the tall, handsome, well-built man with curly hair, who runs the business. And, Bridger understands the importance of family as a widower with a 3-year-old-son, Dax.

Allie has come to the bakery to talk to her grandfather about her going to Paris to learn about fashion. However its not her grandfather she find but Bridger her father's friend. Bridger is working in the bakery and when he sees her trying to cut in line he makes her go back and wait her turn. Allie is drawn to Bridger especially after she sees him with his son. Bridger wants Allie so he knows its going to take some convincing to change her mind about leaving. Sparks fly between them and soon things heat up between them. Will Allie see that she belongs there with Bridger and his son? Will Bridger let her go to chase her dreams?
This is a great story That will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The author has given us a fast paced, quick read that pulls us into the lives of Bridger, older man, and Allie, younger woman. She wants to go to Paris but must convince Bridger to take over the company before her grandfather will allow her to go. Will she be able to convince him or will she stay and take over the company herself?

I liked this one-
Allie wants to go to Paris but her grandfather wants her to take over his bakery. Bridger is a family friend that knows the bakery business, he also has a son. There’s a misunderstanding but things end well for the couple.
