The legend of Batman only begins with Bruce Wayne! For centuries to come different people will take up the mantle of Batman and defend the times they’re living in from all forms of villainy. See four of the finest Bats the future may offer! • In Neo-Gotham, Bruce Wayne lies murdered in the Batcave. Terry McGinnis-Bruce Wayne’s final protégé-will travel into the dark heart of Neo-Gotham to find who killed the greatest hero the city ever knew. • In Future State, Cassandra Cain just wants a moment to enjoy a hot meal but the Magistrate’s pursuit of her is relentless! • In a blasted future, the Dark Knight stands alone against a murderous gang threatening his ruined city…and their mysterious leader will be a shocker!
Almost 4 stars because I really enjoyed the Batman Beyond story and it's my first time reading that character. Damian as Batman 666 pretty much sums him up, but I have no idea what was happening. I hate Future State, but liked seeing Cass in a manga-esque action style.
Probably the last of these books that I read, but also one of my favorites so far. The problem with a lot of these is that I don’t know the context. They’re going to be more understandable for people who know that, which means basically knowing everything that goes on in all of the Batman timeline.
That being said, the first three here were okay, and mostly discernible from context (pun intended) clues. [SPOILERS!] First: Batman Beyond (Terry)has to find who killed Bruce Wayne, and it turns out to be a super-AI that he manages to shut out in a few minutes (I guess Bruce really did plan for everything). Second: Batman (Damian) is fighting his way up a tower toward someone called the Executive, seeing all his old enemies as the 7 Deadly Sins and murdering them…except they’re some sort of hologram? This one was the most difficult without context. Third: Batgirl (Cass) beats up and escapes from some bad guys. Not much to it, but a fun one. And finally: My favorite, 853rd century, on the prison planet of Pluto, a robot Batman and Robin stop a prison escape. Batman shifts between multiple Batman “modes” to stop each criminal, such as Knightfall mode to stop the Bane-like one. I really loved that, and it had a heartwarming end too.

Batman beyond story was an intro to the main series so it wasn’t the best. I thought this issue supposed to be a one-shot comic. Story wise it was alright, but Bruce’s death just felt random and just a quick starter to the actual story. Overall, it was alright with some pretty good art and one cool moment of paneling. I get the themes they were settling up but obviously it needs the rest of the story. 3/5 Second story: I didn’t really get Batman 666 like what happened in that universe. Story felt for the most part meaningless, but it was alright, I guess. Art was pretty decent. 2/5 I kind of like this young adult graphic novel style. The story itself is just meh. Haven’t read future state though but probably won’t help this issue. 2.5/5 I like the idea of the changing suit. The character was fine and same with the villains. Decent story and nice ending that he let Cryo work. 3/5
Wake: A love letter to Batman Beyond and just Batman in general. Easily the best Terry McGinnis content since the original animated series. Emotional, gripping – Urban Legends' best story yet.
The Executive Game: No one quite knows how to end the world like Batman 666. Classic Damian.
Hunter... or Hunted: Way better depiction of Cass than in Wildcard. Nice art, a bit short.
The Batman with No Name: The most I've ever liked DC One Million.

All around excellent volume of Urban Legends. By far the best issue.
I really liked the Terry McGinnis (Batman Beyond) story, wanted to give 5 stars. But lost a star for the Damien Wayne story. The following stories meh to good, the Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) story was just a vague fight scene, there was no story. The very futuristic story (somewhere faaaar into the future) was really good.
I will be honest, this issue was confusing. It didn't carry on from any of the previous UL storylines and I stead focussed on several new ones of Batman remaining a constant in different universe and timelines. The art is beautiful but I found the actual stories to be choppy and confusing
So this issue was a bunch one shots throughout different time periods. Looks like the Batman beyond section is a prologue for a new series which I’m excited for, that was definitely the strongest story. I enjoyed the issue but hope we get more stories in the main dc continuity next time.
The Batman Beyond story is another reminder that I really need to dive deeper into the Batman Beyond comics of this Rebirth era. Surprised that one of the stories in this takes place in the 853rd century.
Bah. The first story in this one is the best of the lot, a prelude to the new Batman Beyond series. Other than that ... it's kind of a hodgepodge of pretty bad stories, IMO. No idea what's going on with Batman 666 or the other future story.
