I loved everything about this volume. When they held that baby for the first time? I lost it, I was sobbing. Ugh I am almost sad it is over after the next volume.

Well, I randomly picked up the final two volumes in this series after marking it DNF because I couldn’t deal with the ridiculous love triangles (yes, plural). I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these last two volumes and seeing the characters happy (finally!!). I teared up at a couple parts and I honestly wish the rest of the series had been like this so I could buy the physical copies of the series. (I won’t be because I for reasons listed before, but I won’t say I wasn’t tempted to at least by these last two volumes.) I’m very familiar with adoptions from China and South Korea, but not at all familiar with Japan’s adoption process, so it was interesting to learn more about it and see adoption talked about in a serious, but positive manner.

VOLUMEN ONCE

¿No?

Oh, my heart.

I want nothing but the best for these two after having endured so much hardship and prejudice. One of the things I love about this manga is that it didn't just end where most mangas end. It continues after that marriage scene to give us an idea of the reality of what it might be like to want to create a family when one member is in a wheelchair.

I have the next volume but I'm sad to see this wonderful story come to an end! This volume, however, had some incredibly adorable little guest stars.

Happy reading!

I was so touched that Itsuki will be doing Paternity leave!! He will be such a good fit for that. I agree that the trope was for Tsugumi to do maternity leave, so it makes me so happy it will be Itsuki!

They both are gonna be wonderful parents and seeing their interactions with children already touches my heart.

Tsugumi got her mom cut! It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come. Something so special to think that we saw them at 26 and now they have been married for years and are 33! They have grown into such a lovely couple and have endured so, so much.

When the birth mother said she was even happier that the adoptive father was disabled it touched my heart. Itsuki is just a wonderful man.

Both their faces seeing their son Koki was so precious. My heart just melted. I love them.

I’m glad it looks like Koreda is finally moving on with another girl! Not gonna lie, kinda sad it wasn’t Nagasawa. I totally thought they could become a thing. But the new girl just seems so sweet and I think it’s good she has a disability so Koreda can now understand disability does not get in the way of love. Yes, there are many more challenges, but it doesn’t effect your love for each other.

This manga has just touched my heart! As a disabled and ill person myself, seeing this gives me hope and excitement that maybe the LORD does have a husband for me! I relate to Itsuki a lot, especially in the beginning when he felt he never deserved love nor could find it being disabled.

I’m so sad I only have one more volume to read, however, in a few months I’m totally re-reading it again! This will probably be my comfort manga since I just love Itsuki and Tusgumi, and it being relatable for me personally.

This is probably my favorite volume so far, beside the first one. Things are looking up in this volume and I love how the author made Ayukawa said things about parental leave for man, how society tend to think it's women responsibility to care for a child eventhough it's supposed to be equal and how supportive his co worker of his decision, the same goes for their family & Kawana's coworker.

I am feeling done with this series, but since there is only one more I will probably read it.

Babies just really aren't my thing. I kind of dislike books that think happy endings require having children.

We have finally got a 5 star volume on the second to last book!
I really love that we are getting into the family. Yes, some of it is very emotional, but I loved it.

This was an interesting, fast-reading volume that centered around Itsuki and Tsugumi’s special adoption proceedings. Everything surrounding adoption in Japan feels very different from the USA, so this was fascinating to read about.

Their story has taken a very emotional new turn, but it’s all very sweet. Itsuki makes a decision that really shows what a fantastic partner he is.

Finally, we get a chapter about Koreda, who is dating a woman with a prosthetic leg. Spin off maybe?
