Aliens are stealing human souls to reincarnate them as slaves in another dimension
How do I know?
…I’m one of them.

My people have perpetuated this atrocity unchecked for thousands of years.
And you know what the worst is? We’re helped by humans with authority.
People you look up to. And more importantly; people you believe.

You are promised paradise, you get hell.

My narcissistic father is central to this scam.
Well, I’ve had enough.
It must stop.
My friends and I are going to bring him down. Him and all the others.

…If my violent, pain-in-the ass, human partner doesn’t kill me first.

if I had to sum this book up in one word it would be original. Considering the subject matter you wouldn't think that possible but it was. It obviously has inspiration from other things but is put together in a way that is still unique. It's fast-paced, has lighthearted banter to break up the darkness, and keeps you interested.

ORIGINAL BUT DISAPPOINTING.....

Seeing the fanatic in front of him, Gabriel thought to himself that he really should have brought back some reinforcements with him...

But Gabriel had been sent to bring Father Ignatius back to the right path...

--------------

This is not the reading I personally expected.

I found the subject treated in an original and innovative way.
It’s very well written, but I got bored not being able to get attached to the characters or the story.

For lovers of original Fantasy.

Wow! I started reading this book with no knowledge of the story or universe. I was blown away! The tough characters and amazing fights kept getting better and better. I hope for a next book in this universe so I can continue being immersed in this universe.

There is a conspiracy to sell souls to Hell. These hijacked the souls of believers from your world to reincarnate them in my dimension, where they face endless torture in abject slavery. Who arranges the hijacking? Humans that are promised a nice place in hell for sending the “good souls” his way. The Devil has decided to fight this system, with the help of a priest and a computer wizard. Will they be able to succeed? This is a totally new take on the Heaven and Hell story. When the Devil is the good guy and God is the bad guy just who do we pray to? This is my first read by Monique Singleton and I am very impressed. She is a gifted and talented author. This is a unique novel. Singleton kept me spellbound from page one to the very last word! The tension and relationships are beautifully written and will keep readers coming back for more. I got chills up my spine more than once. I can't wait to see what happens next. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel

A brand new series takes us into the dimension of the Establishment, the one where God and his children, better known to humans as angels dwell. God rules this dimension in a tyrannical way and runs it as a business to line his pockets. The church in the human realm employs recruiters to gather souls for the Establishment, promising them everlasting life in heaven but it turns out that this is not what has been happening in the afterlife and Gabriel, one of the angels and 2nd born son finds out through Jonah, an ex-priest previously known as father Ignatius. What Jonah reveals is happening shocks Gabriel and turns him against his hated tyrannical father and his siblings, especially the first born Michael who is their father's lackey. Gabriel leaves the Establishment's dimension better known as purgatory and joins Jonah in trying to bring down the Establishment, but this is obviously not an easy thing to do. Turns out that God and Allah supposedly competitors for souls which they reincarnated when they died, from two different camps, Christianity and Islam were now pretending to be in a holy war whilst in fact being in cahoots as this war served their business very well, both reaping as many souls as they needed. But Gabriel and Jonah are onto them and they will not stop till they bring the evil Establishment down. I am very intrigued by this unique story line and am dying to follow up on the adventures of the ex-priest and the fallen angel who though so different to one another work so well as a team. I especially enjoyed the banter that goes on between Gabriel and Jonah as it gives a bit of light-heartedness to this quite violent novel which is so full of anger and disappointment at a faith which is built on lies!

A new provocative book about heaven and hell. Is Gabriel a fallen angel? Is he a alien or another being from the unknown? Jonah is a back slidden priest trying to fight the good fight. It takes a lot of trust for them to work together. Ebony is the computer genius helping them to locate those who are setting up humans to go to purgatory. I can not wait to see how this series develops.

Gabriel was sent by his father to convince a former priest to return to his church. Despite being promised power and riches the priest refuses his offer. After a violent confrontation Gabriel realizes that his father has come to believe that he IS the God whom the humans worship. After some research in his home dimension he returns to Earth and teams up with the former priest, and a computer expert to try to take his father, and the rest of his family down.
Wow, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think this is a fantastic, must read. I found these characters absolutely fascinating, they are well written and unique. Action, violence, some suspense, and I even chuckled at some of the characters' interactions. There are plenty of unexpected twists in the plot and I found it difficult to put this book down. I highly recommend it.

What if religion was run by multidimensional entities for profit.
The basis of this book is that in the middle ages, these entities "claimed" the major religions at time (Catholic and Islam) for their own purposes. So when you die young, you are caught by their machines and sold into slavery all in the name of capitalism.
But one "demon" is rebelling and this book is about him, one of the sons of "god" and bucking the system going all out to try and remove the corruption that the "demons" have caused.

This review may contain spoilers.
Gabriel is from another world. Jonah is a fallen priest. Gabriel’s people have hijacked the idea of God and turned it into a way to get slaves for their world.
Gabriel and Jonah find themselves as partners trying to save the souls of the human race. They slowly learn to rely on each other to help the human race free themselves from the lie, to get to heaven instead of hell.
An interesting tale that kept me highly interested. Can’t wait for the ending. Yes, this story has a cliffhanger.

Gabriel is the model of the poor, little, rich kid. Jonas is a tortured soul out for revenge. I never really developed any empathy for either of them. I found Ebony much more intriguing. The story contains a lot of great ideas, but without the emotional support, sometimes, it felt like I was reading a book on religious dogma. Nevertheless, overall, I still found it entertaining, especially the scenes which involved Ebony.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.

"My whole life I had been brought up to believe the recruits had at least a semblance of choice in their destiny. I truly believed they knew what was awaiting them. Maybe not in detail. But they knew what we had was a temporary step in the road to their ultimate redemption." - Gabriel

You'll think you're prepared for this book: you aren't. Uniquely written, with a depth of passion and intensity not often seen in works of fiction, this tome may turn your perceptions of certain beliefs inside out.

This story took me by surprise, the blurb I read when offered an Advance Reader Copy piqued my interest. However, I don’t think I was ready to be entertained on the level that this story took me to. Along with plenty of action, the investigation and subterfuge in the story made it hard to put down, additionally the characters are very well developed, and some are very easy to like while there are a few who are easy to detest. I’m really looking forward reding the next installment in this series. Like I mentioned before my voluntary review is based on an ARC copy from Booksprout.

This book really takes you on a journey through biblical and dimensional beliefs.
It is told through the eyes of Gabriel. He must find a way to save humans and to protect thier true beliefs in God.
Gabriel befriends Jonah, a fallen priest, and Ebony, a seriously smart tech wizard. Together they fight to destroy those that form the greatest risk to humanity.
A fast paced page turner. I highly recommend this book for teen to adult.

A Very Interesting Tale

An entertaining story which is very different to the usual ones concerning religions. This was a well crafted book that I found disturbing and almost believable. This plot twisted our ideas about religions and the God whose belief systems are ingrained in us humans. Hundreds of years ago beings from another dimension took over Christianity and Islam in order to enslave the believers' souls at death . An alien rebel has defected and joins a human rebel to fight the "Establishment"

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This was an interesting read; but due to the poor editing I had a hard time enjoying it. I have noticed that other reviewers did not have the same editing problems my copy did. So, keep that in mind with the review.
This is a new twist on urban fantasy dealing with god, church and religion as a whole. It has a lot of action and thrilling twists. It is a unique read. The characters are well fleshed out; the world building is done well.

The book started off already with mystery and action. It took me by surprise as the story developed and the twists and turns started being thrown into the mix. It is definitely not what you expect but that doesn't mean that it gets any less thrilling. The variety of characters keeps you entertained as some you root for while others you just love to hate. I suggest you pick up the book and make your own conclusion to the tale.

I enjoyed this story with its unique twist to the god vs angel vs the church. It stars Gabriel who is on a mission along with some friends he makes along the way. It was a blast to read, a bit violent in a good way, and made me laugh and think. It was compelling and interesting and hard to put down. I love the concept and the twists.

If I could give 10 stars I don’t think it would be enough for this fantastical story. Gabriel, Jonah and Ebony make a great team although there’s little innocence about them. There’s so much happening that alien beings are not a surprise. The battles, both physical and intellect, are riveting. As are the relationships that are a core. I look forward to the next book!
