One matchmaking app, two skeptics and a chance at love. Tiffany Stewart does just fine dating on her own. She's had several boyfriends over the past four years but nothing long-term. When her boss, Meg Austen, makes her take the matchmaking test in order to get a promotion to marketing director, Tiffany does everything to stay away from reading the results while she's off to her cousin's wedding for the weekend. But an encounter with the best man has her rethinking her motto to stay away from men for a while.
Drew Evans walked away from the advertising world two years ago, in the hopes of finding some balance in life. He hasn't dated much since his girlfriend left, but he's found a routine and settled in. When his best friend, Carson, forces him to use the gift card for the matchmaking company that brought him back together with Ruby, Drew doesn't think it means anything. Until he meets Tiffany.
But when a random hobby brings Tiffany and Drew together, their try at friendship to make it through the wedding turns into something more.

Britney Mills was born in Utah but parts of her heart lie in Boston, Washington D.C. and Germany. Her love of writing began with the third grade book her teacher assigned her to write and she spent hours hidden behind her mother’s couch writing pages and pages about knights and castles. Most of her time consists of taking care of her young son and triplets but writing keeps her sane as she travels along on the adventures of characters to come. When she’s not mothering, writing or reading, she’s probably out playing a sport, going on a hike, or binge watching some kind of murder mystery show. She is a fan of chick flicks and adventure/action stories in books and movies, and can even get her cowboy husband to watch along with her.
Calling all Jane Austen fans! This was such a cute contemporary romance to cozy up with. My husband and I met on a dating app, so I really connected with the main characters. I appreciated how realistic their experiences with the app and dating felt, as well as their insecurities and issues with their families. Super relatable! AND Tiffany and Drew bond over their love of true crime podcasts, which made me like and cheer for them both even more! The story was fun and lighthearted, and I really had a hard time putting the book down. I definitely want to read the other five books in the Love, Austen series now!

Tiffany finally gets her HEA in this really sweet final installment of the Love, Austen series.
I read my first Love, Austen story more than a year ago, right after the start of the Pandemic and I loved it so much. What a fun idea for a series to feature a matchmaking service and its engaging employees. I loved how each story tied together but also stood on its own with good characters and intriguing writing. Tiffany has been the serial dater of the series but she’s now on a “man fast” to figure out what she really wants in a relationship. Too bad she chose to go on her fast right before her cousin’s wedding to which she is supposed to bring a plus one. But she is determined to keep to her commitment so she plans to go stag, no matter what anyone else says. She also has the chance to become the marketing director at Love, Austen if she can prove herself to her boss. One catch though, she has to try out the new matchmaking app her boss created by taking the matching quiz and getting matched with local guys. Reluctantly, she agrees but still determines to find a guy on her own when she’s actually ready. Drew Evans is his uncles best man for the upcoming wedding and while he is happy to help them celebrate their marriage, he doesn’t like the idea of showing up without a date. But since he’s not gone out with anyone since his previous relationship ended in disaster, he doesn’t have any choice but to go alone. Meeting Tiffany soon after he arrives and finding out they both love True Crime podcasts gives them a reason to chat further. And then when they both find out the other came alone, they make a pact to do “wedding things” together so they won’t have to fend off other singles the whole week. What starts out as a nice friendship blossoms into the possibility of something more but neither of them are willing to let go of their pasts and embrace the chance at a relationship. Will they come out of this week as friends only or will they find better reasons to take a chance at discovering Love that’s right in front of them? Come read and find out! I really enjoyed this sweet story. It flowed pretty well and I was excited to see how everything would turn out. The side characters from previous stories were a fun addition and the tie ins were well done. I was glad to see Tiffany work things out with her mom but wish Drew had worked things out a bit more with his family on the pages of the story. But it was really fun to see things come full circle with the series and have all the friends find their matches. I will certainly be recommending this book and the series to others and hope they I’ll have as much fun reading them as I did. I received this complimentary book from Brittany Mills and Crystal Canyon Publishing. I am not required by anyone to write a positive review but I am pleased to do so. I will receive no fiscal compensation for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
Testing Love, Austen is a fun rom-com type book with so many great moments, I can't even choose a favorite. I love the obsessions in it with true crime podcasts, it helps really catch and hook you to the story. The podcast conversations also got me looking at every little detail of the book and double guessing myself at each twist and turn. There were quite a few surprising moments that really made the book that much more enjoyable. It's fun when you can't predict every detail, author Britney Mills did a wonderful job on making you try to guess what's coming next without it being a romantic suspense book.
I loved how much fun chemistry was between Tiffany and Drew. It was enjoyable to see the different characters interact together and all conversations seemed well thought out and added to the story, rather than just being side moments that don't mean much.
This series was new to me, but I will now be going back to read all of the ones before. It is amazing, funny, sweet, and really hooks you in with the small hints of unexpected mysteries. I highly recommend Testing Love, Austen by Britney Mills. So go get a cozy cup of cocoa (or whatever you're preferred drink is), cuddle up, and enjoy this story. You'll be glad you did.
- Tiffany and Drew - "The more Tiffany thought about it, the more she liked that idea. "So, plus-one, no strings attached?" Drew nodded. "We don't have to think about the future. Just survive the week and have fun." 😁 Doubtful. But I'm invested now! - all the true crime stuff. So real- if I listen to too much, I see murderers everywhere! - this is a pretty intense wedding - man-vegan 😅 I see what they're doing there but it's weird haha - whew. Her mom is a piece of work - they have a good little teasing vibe going on - "this was not a date. NO DATEY." - Britney, do you listen to a ton of podcasts? Are these true crime tales made up or are you a trove of knowledge?? - I like this book - they're just perfect for each other, ya know? I'm getting impatient. - her mind goes fast. Right to forever and murderers. - the match results! I got so distracted by the story, I forgot about Love, Austen 😅🤦♀️ - great epilogue. I love true epilogues, that finish the story, not serve as a teaser for the next book
Wow, talk about over the top, dysfunctional families, they abound in Testing Love, Austen. Tiffany and Drew, who try to make their own choices, seem to be constant disappointments to their families. I enjoyed that neither of them wanted to register for the Love, Austen app, and that after they did, neither one checked the results! In this well written romance, Tiffany and Drew band together as each other's plus one for this large wedding. Ms. Mills certainly writes them into some interesting situations. I stayed up way too late to finish this charming novel.
This is a cute contemporary romance and another sweet addition to the Love Austen series. I enjoyed the clean writing (both in content and in actual grammar etc.) and well-developed plotline. Tiffany and Drew had a cute connection and I liked the chemistry they shared, the whole friends first thing even though they had an instant attraction, but it developed nicely into a real romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have so enjoyed all the characters, their romantic relationships, and the modern adaptations of Jane Austen's stories. Tiffany and Drew's story and their love for true crime podcasts was so funny. There was a lot of angst over parental over-the-top expectations and criticism that was handled well. The ending was perfect for the series' focus on the Love, Austen app.
I liked this book because it was a light, easy read. I was entertained by it, and it was sweet and clean. It's been a while since I read the previous books in the series, but I found there was enough context clues in this book to remind me of what happened with the other Love, Austen couples.
Testing Love Austen by Britney M. Mills is a fun YA contemporary novel.
A fun, happily ever after read that didn’t disappoint. It was easy to love the two main characters, who both battle their insecurities with themselves, as well as how their parents view them.
This was a fun light read, that had many aspects that were relatable. I remember making career changes, being harassed about my single status, and of course we live near Boston and visit Vermont. I have not read the other books in this series, so I would say you could read this as a stand alone. That being said, I decided I do need to go back and read the other books so that I can appreciate the other characters in this books more. Thanks Britney for another great book!
Synopsis: Tiffany works for Love Austen, a dating matchup app, but is not interested in trying it herself. Confronting family wile attending her cousin’s wedding in Vermont highlights her single status, and she wishes to escape the unhelpful advice and opinions of others on her relationship status.
Drew changed his career to something that would make him happy, but lost his longtime girlfriend due to her unhappiness with his changes. Years later he’s still feeling lost romantically, and battling the opinions of his family as he attends his uncle’s wedding.
As Drew and Tiffany agree to be each other’s plus one, they get to know each other and accept themselves as they are. I loved how both characters found inner strengths, as well as the strength that comes from being accepted by another, to be more confident in who they are.
I received an ARC from the author, the opinions and thoughts are my own.
Tiffany works at a matchmaking company - Love, Austen. She believes in it, seen great results for others, but she hadn’t tried it herself, until her boss makes her before Tiffany takes off for her cousin’s weeklong wedding celebration.
Drew hasn’t dated anyone since his 7-year-long relationship ended. He is headed to his uncle’s wedding, and his friend agrees to take care of his workload for the week, as long as he signs up for Love, Austen.
When Drew and Tiffany meet, they decide to stick together so they can survive being single at a wedding, then they’ll go back to their lives with no strings attached. Sounds simple, right? 😉
This is the 6th and last book in the Love, Austen series, but it’s the first one I read. And it didn’t matter. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything, but it did make me curious about the other books in the series, so I’m sure I’ll go back and read those. I enjoyed reading this! It’s a very cute story, complete with laughs and an ending that surprised me! It also left me very curious about something that I can’t say or else it will spoil the ending!
I am not a young adult (just young-at-heart) but this YA contemporary novel grabbed my interest from the start and kept me engaged throughout the book. Who doesn’t love a good love story? This story is about two likable characters, Tiffany and Drew, who met when both were members of a wedding party and they decided to become each others’ plus one for the week so they could avoid the inevitable intrusive questions about their love lives. I liked that the author gave us such a full understanding of their backstories with their relationships with their parents and the things that had happened to cause their insecurities about falling in love. Friendship and mutual understanding eventually led to something more. You’ll have to read it to find out what happened—no spoilers! For an enjoyable, light read with a happily-ever-after, I highly recommend it! I received an ARC and this voluntary review contains my honest opinion.
It’s been a while since I read a book from this Love, Austin series. I forgot how much I loved it. I really enjoyed this story. It was a different theme for the matchmaking series since Tiffany was a serial dater instead of the one who never dates. I loved Tiffany’s addiction to the True Crime Podcast stories coupled with her active imaginations. I found the story to be a little predictable but in a good way for me. Sometimes you just need a book that you can just relax and enjoy without a bunch of added drama. This was that kind of story for me. It was a quick read. The HEA was a little drawn out (I felt like Tiffany impatiently waiting for the next Podcast to find out whodunit) so it had me putting my day on hold until I could properly finish the story. The story introduced several new SINGLE characters to the series and I hope that we get to read about their stories next! Rating: PG, clean
This was a cute, sweet contemporary romance. I liked how the book was loosely based on a Jane Austen book but was still very unique. I liked how the main characters got to know each other at wedding before they found out that they were a match. I liked how the main characters had similar interests and could have fun together. This is a fun series to read and I highly recommend it to any one who loves a good contemporary romance and some Jane Austen.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

I love every story in this series and this one doesn’t disappoint. A great build on family and the dreaded plus one at a wedding. A sweet romance that is based on friendship and respect. I love the whole match making test and app, it makes such a fun story. This book is so easy to be sucked into and you will be pulling an all nighter because you can’t put it down. Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed getting to know Tiffany and Drew. The storyline progressed well. One of my favorite things in a book is when the character experiences growth and becomes a stronger version of themselves. I thought this book did a great job if that.
Nice book! Really sweet! I could see the end result right away, but it was the journey along the way that kept the book holding my attention. Laughter, friendship, having one another's back, family dynamics, love. Put them all together and you have Testing Love, Austen!
