Heartwarming tale of rediscovery after loss! This story has a gentle feel to the telling of Rita's upheaval when loss leads to a rediscovery of what she really wants in life. She's strong and heartfelt but naive enough to get herself into some humorous situations. I enjoyed her journey and especially appreciated the goodness in Philippe.
I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a seasoned heroine who has to pick up the pieces and move forward after life as she knew it comes to an end.
Very nice boxed set about women who find love. Most of the stories are sweet or have limited sex scenes. The stories were all well written and unique. They took place in a wide variety of locations. I like that two dealt with narcissist male exes. I also like that several of the stories dealt with older women finding true love. I was impressed that Paws & Pastries that Clara manages to switch mug and coffee pot under stream of new brew without spilling a drop. I have only ever read that before in VetteHead's Not Dead.
Once Upon a Friendship is a collection of 10 different stories, by 10 best selling authors. It has love, loss, trials and tribulations, friendships, family, new beginnings and happy endings. I give this collection 5 Stars!
Also, one story that stuck out above, in the collection for me, was Barbara Hinske's Paws and Pastries! It is a heartwarming story of love, loss, courage, new beginnings and starting over! I give it 5-stars!
This is a lovely collection of ten books from various authors, some of my favourites and some new to me, but already added to my list of authors I will follow. I absolutely loved every story offered. Each author draws you in quickly and holds your attention. These are heartwarming stories of strong women and were perfect light reading for some cold blustery winter days. I would highly recommend this collection!
These are a great set of stories. The characters come alive out can almost here the conversation set the stories like a movie. The description of the settings in the stories feel so real you will wish they were real so you could visit. (Some of the cities are). Take a chance a grab this collection sit back and enjoy.
I loved the story and could easily envision Avignon and smell the lavender. What I found to be extremely aggravating were the many typographical errors throughout. I spent 24 years critiquing college students' papers. As I retired almost 6 years ago I expect to read error-free books for total enjoyment. Why were the 10 books in this set not properly edited?
A collection of the heart. Author friends, each bringing a different perspective of matters of the heart. Some I liked better than others, but all in all, a worthy collection. Sensual, a bit of modern vocabulary. I didn't let it ruin my reading.
I don’t normally enjoy a collection by different authors…they can be cookie cutter. But there was nothing cookie cutter about this collection….each individual book had its own intrigue and excitement. Sooooo interesting! I’m sad to be at the end.
The grammar mistakes in the last book were a distraction. Words were duplicated and/or left out. I did enjoy the storyline of each book. Ashley Farley, as always, is enchanting.
I won this in the goodreads giveaway. I only read 2 full stories and just skipped thru the others. The 2 I read were good the others didn't hold my interest.
This was an interesting story with some some ups and downs that were realistic. When love happens for the second time it can be the very best thing ever.😊
These books are so good! I love that you get to see several different author styles. Sweet, Clean and happy!! Very well written. I HIGHLY recommend this box set!
Wonderful authors and reading. Great settings and realistic characters. The stories were entertaining and moving . Fantastic way to spend my surgery recovery time.
All these books are astonishing. I loved the friendship and love established in the stories. I gladly recommend any books from the authors included in this series.
I enjoyed the books and the variety - there was one I didn't read - as I was not at a point that I could read it..... Was very enjoyable - but at the same time, I felt like it dragged on - just used to going to a new book after a book... it was great to read authors I haven't before - that I can now add to my list
