There's something for everyone in this book. Beef, seafood, vegetables, hot dogs (yes, they get their own category), and so much more. You’d have to hate food not to love these recipes, from Korean Short Rib Tacos to Chipotle Sloppy Joes, Chorizo Guacamole Torta to a Juicy Lucy Burger, Corn Brats to a Surf and Turf Burrito. Topped with homemade Bacon Onion Jam or Garlic Aioli, served with one of a dozen side dishes, including Buffalo Chicken Fries and Elote Corn Salad, this is what it’s all about.
Sam may be the cooking guy, but Sam is also the man! He has written what a cookbook should be. "Between the Buns" is fun, easy, witty, adventurous, easy to understand, common ingredients that you can get anywhere, and most important of all, delicious! Now I have not tried every recipe in the book, I have made something from just about every section and they are easy, quick and fun! And, And, and here is the crazy part, you will learn from this book...I know, right! As for a cookbook, I couldn't recommend this higher. Awesome, gold star for Sam the Man!!
Wonderful book with recipes bursting with creative flavors. As a long time vegetarian this kind of book used to be out of reach as it cover burgers, dogs and tacos. But..with the appearance of new faux meats suddenly the recipes in this book are super useful. great cook book. Yumm.
Found some really great recipes that have become regular additions to our meal rotation. Highly recommend the Chori-pollo sandwich and shrimp taco. Nice to have for easy but different sandwiches.
