Haruki is a second year in high school, and is secretly in love with his best friend, Ryusuke. He swears he’s content with their relationship, but when a girl starts showing interest in Ryusuke, Haruki’s feelings spin out of control. He confesses, and to his surprise, Ryusuke responds…?
Gods, this manga was beautifu!! Well deserved 5 stars. They were just too cute and the plot was good too. One of the best couple I have ever seen in a manga of this genre.
It's also a good look at how Haru's internalized homophobia nearly prevents him from being happy, but maybe that's why the ending is so worth it, because the only real rival he ever has is himself.
3.5 ⭐ Just a short read, the art is perfect , I can say that. I don't dislike the plot of this story nor I like it. I could't make out the main things that the characters want to say, not really clear enough for me. So, just my opinion 😶 Still, Haruki and Ryuusaki is still a good couple
Manga like this make me so incredibly ecstatic about the fact that I get to read BL in the year 2020. That I didn't suffer through very early yaoi that was filled with toxic stories and tropes. Yes, we still have that but now the genre has so many amazing stories with healthy and happy couples to chose from.
Este es el tipo de historias que me tienen comiendo de su mano😩. Todo el fluff y la comunicación, el primer romance inocente y aaaaaaamoooo todo. Quisiera más extras
Haruki is in love with his best friend, Ryusuke. When he confesses to him Ryusuke asks him to be his boyfriend. Haruki accepts and they start dating. This was a very quick, very boring read. We are privy to the thoughts of Haruki who is over the moon that Rysuke actually agrees to date him and Ryusuke is actually a pretty sweet boyfriend. Too bad this manga nearly put me to sleep.
There is much better BL out there. I'd hate for someone new to the genre to read this and think this is what it's normally like. This story was rushed, had no conflict, no depth, the characters were flatter than a sheet of paper, and there was absolutely no chemistry between the two. Hard pass on this one.
A healthy and pure and wholesome relationship paired with best-friends-to-lovers™ spices are served hot full of steams here~ ☕✨
It has a very likeable characters. Haru is so cute and Ryuusuke is really a boyfriend material ((—he's smooth af shshshsh)). Every tiny-little-interaction they do makes my heart flutters~ 🧚🏻♀️✨
HNNNNGH—they are so adorable... two cinnamon buns falling in love...
And another important thing is: 🗣📢 COMMUNICATION ACTUALLY EXIST IN THIS MANGA‼
I love how these soft-bois being honest with each other and actually talked it out if they encountered problems. This level of communication is really good. And there are no unnecessary misuderstanding too, just mmmh— [chef's kiss]
Reading this feels like eating cotton candy. It's pretty, has a nice colour, tastes super sweet, but all that nice things doesn't last long because my intel ((yeah, it's mangaupdates shshshsh—)) said this story is just a stand-alone.
Short, adorable, feel-good story to knock out in one sitting. Watching them grow closer and Ryusuke helpfully easing Haru to be more comfortable with how he felt while not pushing boundaries was really cute. Even him panicking to think of an answer to someone's response and then sticking his neck out for Haru by the end of it was really cute, I loved that.
I appreciate that there wasn't anything stupidly out of pocket or some dumb misunderstanding that would've made me go “well, they're teenagers so it makes sense why they would act this way" as I roll my eyes. But instead, I went “well, they're teenagers so it makes sense why they would act this way" in a very believable way because their actions were pretty grounded in how a young teen would act.
My only disappointment I had was the “you're either gay or you're not" thing. It's something bl manga constantly does that bothers me. Ryusuke could be bi, pan, demi, he could've been questioning but that's never talked about. Haru's just like “you're not gay, you're just dating me bc I was jealous" and Ryusuke didn't really say anything. It's a bl thing that has been making me sigh for years.
Cute one-shot. Ryusuke was also so nicely laid-back and considerate when Haruki battled this thoughts. That's where I wish the manga had spent more time on though, or rather, articulated better because Haru clearly had a case of internalized homophobia. It would've been nice to have Haru told more clearly that he's okay the way he is; yeah, Ryusuke shows it and says he doesn't mind people knowing he likes Haru etc. but Haru needed to clearly process it more. It ends well and kind of implying he gets it but still. It's still very fluffy though, not a depressing read at all!
When I saw the cover I wondered if the art was going to be a bit wonky but it was mostly fine. I think the cover is the worst of it.
the love interest has virtually no personality so i unfortunately couldn’t feel connected to the relationship. i kept wondering what was it about him that made the main character fall in love, but we’re never really shown.
the LI seemed so wishy-washy about things that i worried he’d randomly decide that being with MC wasn’t his thing after all, and you shouldn’t be feeling that way when reading romance.
i prefer a slower pacing when reading established relationships as well, so the sex scene happened too fast for my taste. it was a bit uncomfortably explicit since they’re in high school but it was short so it doesn’t bother me that much.
The art may not be WOW, but the story is so cute and wholesome. A friends-to-lovers trope, but the characters are so nice and so good friends there isn't nothing dramatic nor silly misunderstandings nor heartbreaks. True, they have a little fight in the latter episodes but they feel about about it and apologize.
Not entirely vanilla since there is one steamy scene in the middle but overall, it is more sweet than hot and our boys truly love each other.
totally lost interest all'ultimo capitolo veramente; setting clichettoso ma sopportabile almeno finché si arriva a whatever the h3ll la fine del quarto/inizio del quinto capitolo is supposed to be like- ho capito che doveva inserirci il drama all'ultimo to spice things up, ma il pretesto di trama... a caso? e il protagonista meh, 2* soltanto perché i disegni erano carini
CUTEEE!!!!! I really loved this one!!! I wish it was a little longer, but nonetheless the pace was nice. The artstyle and characters were really cute too and 😌💞😌💞.
