As the seasons start to change Autumn is about to blow a few surprises Cody Moore’s way. Finding out who her mother really has left Cody and her family in a state of shock.
But as the Moore family start to settle back into their everyday lives and wind down from a summer filled with mystery and life changing truths they are soon to find that their troubles are far from over.
The Marine Life Center has hired a new marine biologist, Reece Tanner. Reece still turns heads and looks a lot younger than forty-five.
With his six-foot-five frame, broad shoulders, tanned skin, sandy blond hair, brown eyes, and rugged good looks, Reece looks better than most forty-five year olds. But Cody doesn’t know much more about Reece than what’s on his resume. Reece is not a man that likes to talk about himself and mystery once again shrouds Cody Bay upon his arrival.
But Reece is not the only new guest about to check into the Bay and turn everyone's life upside down as an unexpected arrival brings a new kind of chaos with her. Valentine Huxley is a spoilt pampered socialite who’s come to Nantucket to find her family. Only there is more than meets the eye to Valentine and her bags full of surprises.
While Reece and Valentine go head to head and become the thorns in each other's side, Nancy Honey’s relationship with the handsome doctor, Stein is getting serious. But the relationship starts to hit a few bumps as Nancy’s love of solving mysteries takes her down a dangerous path.
A path that makes her seek the help of someone who she does not see eye to eye with.
Step onto the shores of magical Cody Bay and into the lives of the Moore family as they unravel their family secrets, meet intriguing new guests, get tangled in affairs of the heart, and solve the many mysteries that wash up on the shores of the Bay.

Although the books are listed as part romance, there is much more mystery in each one. I have liked all of the Cody Bay books so far, but each book gets a little more complicated. It is difficult to remember who is related to whom and who is friends with whom. I know that the tangled web will eventually be straightened and made clear so I will continue the series.
Another all-over-the-place book. I’m finding I’m having a REAL hard time liking Nancy. She doesn’t seem to have any scruples about snooping into anyone and anything. I do like Amy Rafferty’s writing (do you hear the ‘but’?) but 2 things are driving me crazy. #1-people are ‘whos’ NOT ‘thats’. “His grandmother, which (WHO!) was the elderly woman lying beside him…” “Kept his eye on the man that (WHO)…” “…on those that (WHO) had nothing to do with it.” I don’t know what is happening in the world today, but I have even heard this grievous misuse of English on a local commercial! #2-the totally unnatural use of ‘as’. ‘Cody breathed a huge sigh AS she was totally relieved…’. “I’d love some water as I am very thirsty,” Nancy said. “ ‘As’ is used literally 100’s of times in Rafferty’s books, even though you will probably NEVER hear it in real conversation.
"Trent shrugged. “I think she needed you for something. Things aren’t always as they seem.” He quoted Margaret Stanford."
I concur with all the previous reviews. This book is a puzzle that isn't quite what you think it is
Trust, treason and truth are the focus of this book in the series. Is anyone telling the truth, and how do they keep track of who's who and what's what? Reece and Vale are a great couple and just might might hold keys to solving this mystery. Besides, who doesn't love a romantic twist in a really good read. Highly Recommended 5/5

Wow, this book is awesome. Once you start reading it you can’t put it down. This mystery revolves around Reece who just started working at the Marine Life Center and Vale who just started as a volunteer. Vale enlists Nancy and Trent to help her. The book keeps you guessing from the start. I really enjoyed this book.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is book 4 in the Cody Bay Series and it is moving into Autum, and we meet Reese a Marine Biologist heading up the Marine Life Center and Vale a Volunteer at the center who comes to Cody Bay in search of clues to her father's dissappearance. She gets the help of Nancy and Trent and as the mystery unfolds will it involve Reese as well? Another captivaing book impossible to put down. I received an advance copy from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Another great read in the Cody Bay Inn series. Reese is a new edition to the Marine Life Center and Vale is a new guest at Cody Bay Inn. Vale comes with a mystery of her own which interweaves with all the old mysteries. Will there finally be a solution to the mystery of the tragic accident that killed Lance and Cody's parents? You have to read this next nook to find out! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
There's always excitement to be had on Nantucket. More secrets are revealed and another couple are feeling the love bug. Another mystery keeps things interesting and keeps me turning the pages. I love this series and look forward to each new book, which I highly recommend. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Just finished book 4, Autumn Shades of Nantucket, in the Cody Bay Inn series. Wow! This book was fantastic. It was filled with mystery, secrets, suspense, and people caring about each other. Reece, Vale, Nancy, and Tanner were so enjoyable to follow their story and how they related to one another. Amy Rafferty you are amazing. Looking forward to book 5.
Omg I loved this one the best so far. I can not believe how many curves these people have gone through. I can't wait for book 5. Everyone should read this book and series.
I received this book free from author for an honest review.
this series just keeps getting better and better. Vale and Reece, who know how their life would intertwine. Mysteries just keep popping up. these stories just want to be able to be read all at one time. Can't wait for the next one. once again, Amy Rafferty hits it out of the park.
Another great book in this series! I love a good mystery and this has everything to love! Great story, great characters and great adventure every time!
Book 4 is one of my favorites in this series. I think because of the mystery in this one. Two new characters enter the scene (of course). Reece is new at the Marine Life Center. He is well known for his work in Marine Biology, but otherwise, little is known about him. Then there's Valentine. The daughter of a rich oil baron. But these two have more in common than anyone realizes. On top of that, they clashed like crazy. Check out this suspenseful, fun mystery.
