Alien Hunter's Captive: A Sci-fi Alien Romance

Rate this book
They told me I'd go into the wormhole. In and out, two hours. Then I'd get an enormous amount of money. They didn't tell me something might come out of the thing first.Just as I was about to enter the wormhole, a terrifying monster emerged and took control of my mind. Before I could release it onto the unsuspecting Earth, a huge blue beast of a man came barreling out of the wormhole and tackled the horrifying creature.Long story very short, the three of us wound up somewhere we should not have been. The monster escaped and I was left alone with the blue man, Zaltas. He barely had on clothes and the tight pants he wore could barely contain all that he had to offer, his bulging calves, thick thighs, and well...One big problem, we can't talk to each other and I have no clue what he has planned for me. The look in his eyes when he stares at me is fiery. Passion, care, or lust. I don't know which.I panicked. It was a new world and I was stuck with an alien, it's to be expected, okay? I tried to run from him, but I didn't get far. He saved me, once again, from a bizarre creature stalking the planet's surface. Now, he has me tied up and has been carrying me on his thick shoulder. He's clearly trying to protect me, maybe he really does have my best interest in mind, or maybe he's saving me for something else. I'm starting to wonder if I'd really mind either way.Alien Hunter's Captive is a full-length sci-fi romance that features action, adventure, and steamy intimate moments. No cliffhangers or cheating. Happily ever after guaranteed! Alien Hunter's Captive is a standalone story and does not require any previous reading to enjoy, however, it includes minor spoilers for the previous two books.

'Alien Hunter's Captive' by Sophia Sebell is the third story in her Scovein Mate's book series and tells the story between Riley, a human, and Zaltas, a blue skinned Scoevin. Riley has been hired to enter a wormhole and get some samples from from another planet. Two female scientists had previously done this experiment and not come back, although they did send messages that they were both safe and happy. This time instead of using another scientist they went a different way and hired Riley, a paramedic with survival experience. The trip would only take an hour and she would get a fab paycheck. Nothing could go wrong, third times the charm. Or is it?

Ms. Sebell has written a great addition to her series. The chemistry between Riley and Zaltas is hot and steamy. The story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, and romance. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of action with their HEA.

Riley and Zaltas . . .

I love the fun tone this story line takes. It kept me amused as the two characters got to know each other. When Riley is paid a huge amount to enter a wormhole and retrieve some samples, she had a bad introduction to aliens. Luckily, the evil Alphur escapes the alien chasing it who turns out to be her fated mate, Zaltas.

Ending up on another planet, at first they had no way to communicate. He could understand her, having the proper translation device. But she had no idea what he said and her responses were hilarious! He was really good with her and protected her from the dangerous creatures they encountered. Would they get help in tracking down the Alphurs? Would they find their HEA somewhere along the way?

I enjoyed this fast-paced story with very likable characters. Grab your copy and enjoy their story. Their personalities mesh so well.

You have to love Zaltas. He has the best lines and has the whole cheeky personality to pull them off. He is ripped from his world following an Alphur and is fighting him when he sees the most beautiful woman in existence. He knows she's his selkin and he hopes fate hasn't put her in his path only to lose her before their relationship can even begin! Riley knows she's going through the wormhole but when she interrupts a fight between a blue built dude and a grey ghosty thing she has no idea who is the good guy. She goes for the one she can understand but that the wrong choice and then some. Spat out at some indeterminate point in space and time all they can do is band together to try and remedy the mistake. Where will it leave them?

This was a fun book. It had action and adventure. There was romance and bonding between the couple. There was also some danger/suspense to keep you on your toes. I loved watching Zaltas and Riley communicating in the beginning when she didn't know he could understand her (because he has a translator and she doesn't). She would just reply random things to whatever he said since she didn't understand him. He took it all in stride and found it amusing. So did I. This is the first book I've read by this author, and the first I've read in this series. It was well written and well paced. Good world building. I enjoyed it. 4 stars.

I love a story that has epilogues and this one has two, this story is about Riley who is going to get paid to go through a wormhole she’s been hard at training for a few weeks and Riley’s as nervous as hell and she’s worried that she might die but what Riley doesn’t expect is a monster and a blue man to come crashing through the wormhole and what happens after will change Riley’s life for forever but I will let you find that out for yourself. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

This book starts out with a woman traveling through a wormhole. Something goes wrong and she ends up with two aliens in the middle of a battle. She has no idea which is the good one and which one isn't. There is a bit of a language barrier to begin with and it is a really funny book. They both enjoy teasing each other and it seems to rub off on others in their life. It is a really nice love story of fated mates. There are some really good battle scenes in this book and it is well worth the read.

Wonderful story of traveling through time and space. This has plenty of action, adventure, abrupted introductions to aliens, danger, suspense and fated mate. Riley and Zaltas are fantastic together where he can understand her but she has no idea what he is saying. They work together to take out the Alphurs (evil things), they find help along with way with other aliens to get rid of the evil and manage to make a future for themselves along the way. Enjoyed reading this story. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

“On Earth we had heck, but it became outdated and they upgraded it to hell.”

I love the sense of humor as this adventure unfolds.

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read ties into other stories, but stands solidly on its own.

Riley is a former paramedic who isn't quite sure how she landed a job going through a wormhole, but the truth remains, she got the job, and she's equal amounts excited and nervous.

Zaltas took a crazy leap in an effort to destroy a dangerous enemy, and finds himself facing all kinds of unexpected with one amazing silver lining.

Riley and Zaltas were instantly one of my favorite characters. They didn't fight their bond instead made it stronger. That is my favorite type of book. All the hardship they had to deal with just solidified it more. This book was not lacking in the action department at all. It was very well written and this is a must read. You will fall in love with them too.

This book was full of really fun characters and I loved the way the newly paired mates would tease and joke with each other. The author has created really beautiful and enchanting worlds/scenes. It’s not written like a fairytale but it’s a very charming read. I will be looking into other works by Ms. Sebell too because I was really sad to see this book end. I hope she plans to expand this into a series.

The third book in the Scovein Mates series a well written story that grabbed my interest from the start and did not let go until I finished reading. Scovein Zaltas and human Riley do not get off to a great start. The story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, and romance. I enjoyed reading and found myself laughing at somethings as I read. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Alien Hunters Captive

Wow what a refreshing sci-fi fi without an abduction. Time travel through a worm whole puts a human, a Skyrim, and a AI controlled ship through a series of people and planets to defeat a almost indestructible villain. Really worth a read. Excellent world building.

Who is the captive?

Riley and Zaltas met in a very unconventional manner. And from there most everything was unconventional. Great story with some good friends and some very different beings as well. Enjoy

Great series with some crazy drama

I hate this Alphur character but still have a smile on my face at how much humor was bled into the pages. A real treat for such a dramatic sci-fi rom series. Looking forward to the next.

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.
