This book took me by surprise, (not because it’s well written with an engaging plot, I’ve read books by the author before and those things are guaranteed) but because it took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, cried and was gripped on the edge of my seat in other parts. I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading. Callie and Hunter are both fascinating characters but it’s the life on the road and on tour that was the highlight of the book for me. The characters, crowds and crazies are brought to life. The anecdotes of well known stars and stories from tours are so real and well told throughout the book and are so vivid you feel as though you are there watching it unfold. I like that even though there is drama and excitement woven into the story, there’s enough excitement in the general tour and music world to captivate and keep the book well paced. Definitely worth reading.

What a fantastic Romantic Suspense Rock 'n Roll book from Kathi Goldwyn!! Most about this book that kept me going was that Callie, the main character. She is talented, driven, outspoken in the don't give me shit way and will not stop going after her dreams with her band mates. Hunter, the hot as hell manager which falls head over heels for her. Their love story is not without all the sexual tension or suspense. Which brings the in stalker. Every Celebrity has to have a stalker. Which Kathi has written awesome throughout the book? Leaving you on edge which makes you sit on the edge of your seat the entire time reading this book. Kathi really shows her strengths and writing abilities in this book. She makes you feel like your right there with her characters and everything they are going through physically and emotionally. I really enjoyed reading this book and think you will too!! AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY

Author, Kathi Goldwyn, rocks this intimate journal about the life of a rockstar. Having been married to one for several years, I can honestly say this tale is spot on. And writing from the main characters’ perspectives takes us on a fantastic, intimate ride.

I loved Callie and Hunter...the hero and heroine come to life in the reader’s mind, and the tour depicts a vivid description of fans, crowds, creepies, and life on the road. Readers will feel the highs, lows, and raw emotions through the character’s eyes and the relationships ring clear.

The most interesting aspect of this book is the story behind the story. The author draws from her own past, which shows the reader first hand experiences with intimate details of a remarkable journey few ever see. Rockstar is a wonderful read!

Callie was at her happiest, then she was knocked back by not only #yournumberonefan but other people who wanted to make her suffer.

Rock star was worth the read. Callie and Hunter go through much on the road to being a star. Callie knows what she wants, and Hunter has the knowledge to make her dreams come true. They go through fear, stalker, kidnapping of her baby brother and more. This story has so much love, fear, frustration , sizzling sex scenes. You never know where the story is going from one page to the other, but it doesn't disappoint. This book should be on your TBR list. Definitely worth the read.

This well written book is everything I would imagine the life of a Rock Star would be-fun and full of adventure, hot and sexy. I became an adoring fan of Callie especially her loyalty to her fans, family and bandmates Marko and Ted. Sexual tension and hot scenes between manager Hunter and Callie and the suspense of a crazed stalker fan made this a heart pounding page turner. This story has something for everyone-adventure, romance, suspense. Bravo-I for one am looking for an encore.

Callie and Hunter’s journey in the music business is one story that you don’t want to miss. The author, Kathi Goldwyn, poured her heart and soul into this story. The author must have used personal experience in order to have such great knowledge of the music business. Earning five stars from me. Don’t miss out on this book!

This was a good read, it had a lot of detail so you definitely got to know the main characters of the story. they went through the ups and downs of not only being on the road but other stressful situations that could tear other couples apart. It had great adventures along the way and hopefully will lead to other books for the other characters in the book at some point.

Interesting

I read the book through Kindle Unlimited. I am not sure what this is but, it still contains all the edit/proofreading footnotes. Very weird! I liked the story for the most part, though.

Amazing girl rocker

Loved that the lead Rockstar in this book is a girl. The tale of how her life on the road and the trials and tribulations of being famous can cause trouble. Definitely a must read. You will be glad you read it.

This author has grown with her stories and books. I really enjoyed Rock Star. All the characters are spot on in their own parts. With all the excitement and trials they have they all weather them well. Can't wait to read more from Miss Kathie Goldwyn.

Rock Star vs. #1 Fan

This book contained several different tropes in one: star vs. manager, age gap, etc. At times, the story seemed a bit scattered. The characters were so likable and life-like.. I really like the way the author was able to make you feel as if you were there.

In Rock Star by Kathi Goldwyn, I initially found the main character, Callie, to be somewhat childish, selfish and pouty, especially when she didn’t get her own way. Having just turned 18 she hasn’t really matured yet, but upcoming events will force her to grow up in a hurry.

The fantasizing of having sex with her band’s agent, Hunter, was coming across as a crush for an older man. And I treated it as such in my mind until the two of them gave in to their mutual attraction.

It would take the events in the rest of the book for both Callie and Hunter to discover if their love would be long lasting. Tragic moments and drama come close to tearing Callie and The Turtledoves away from their rise to fame. Will she and Hunter meet the problems head on, or will they just shrug their shoulders and walk away from a promising career for Callie. Will she ever become a Rock Star?

Overall, Kathi Goldwyn's Rock Star is a good story line. I’m not big on reading explicit sex romance, especially the M/F variety, so I didn’t find those areas “arousing”. I’m sure others will as the sex scenes are decently written, and not just smut.

Be aware that this book is for 18+ as there is explicit sex. Other triggers: profanity, kidnapping, mental illness, stalker, car accident.

Wild ride to being a rock star!

Callie always had the dream to be a rock star and she worked hard to make that dream come true with the help of her band mates Ted and Marko. Hunter Lightfoot was looking for the one, the star that everyone will want and when he sees Callie he knew she was the one. When she said yes to his contract, she embarks on a wild ride filled with drama, suspense, and a romance that sizzles. I enjoyed watching the in and outs of being on top in a fascinating industry.

I loved this 18+ book but be warned it does have triggers such as stalker issues and dealing with mental illness. This is also a older guy romance book. It does contain sex but nothing I would say is outrageous.
It develops as 18 year old Callie has a crush on her older band manager Hunter. As they give in to their feelings they are forced to deal with a wild range of issues that will either tear the apart or bring them closer. Will Callie walk away from everything? Hunter and the band or will she risk it all to gain it all?
I give this book 5 rocking out stars out of 5.

This is a cute slow burn read between Callie, who is an up-and-coming rockstar and her sexy manager, Hunter.

You think your life is crazy, add a tragic accident that leaves Callie in charge of taking care of her baby brother while on tour; then throw in a kidnapping and stalking and you have one heck of a life.

In closing, the characters had hot chemistry and this book had my favorite HEA ending! A book to add to your summer read!

What a ride! This book was a rollercoaster of events and emotions. The author brought Callie and Hunter to life and made me feel like I was part of their story. This was an easy read that made you want to keep turning the pages(or tapping/swiping the kindle in my case). This was a Rock Star romance full of suspense. Rock Star

Rock Star was a good read. The characters Callie and Hunter did get on my nerves a little bit. With how they chose to handle some of the situations they faced. I was things worked out for them.

Kathi is a first-time author for me and I loved this read I had to keep turning the pages to see what happened next. Hunter sees Callie and decides she is just what he is looking for and wants to be her manager and sign her up. Callie decides she will sign up with him making her dream come true as long as her band The Turtle Doves can come to. Hunter signs them up also and takes the same 15% commissions. Callie has a stalker leaving her creepy notes sometimes in places like her purse and she has no idea how they're getting there and who it is. Callie and Hunter start falling for each other will this interfere with their business arrangement. When Callie least expects it her life comes to a crashing halt when tragedy strikes. Callie has to take her seven-month-old brother along on tour with her just as the stalker starts getting closer and crazier. Will they be able to find out who the stalker is before they become too close and present a clear danger to Callie.
I received an arc for my honest review for NNBB. If you love a girl rock star romance with her manager with twists and turns that you don't see coming you will love this read by Kathi.

I loved Rock Star. It begins as one of those dime a dozen rock and roll romances with a wide eyed ingénue and a slightly more worldly wise manager who fall in love while he's in the process of making her a star and then, somewhere around - well not Albuquerque necessarily, but somewhere mid-tour and mid-country, the book takes a sharp left turn and becomes a much more serious family drama and ultimately, an edge of your seat, didn't see that coming suspense story.
Callie, the young, ambitious, stars in her eyes rocker is adorable in her loyalty to her band members, her willingness to leave behind her family to chase her dream and her complete inability to resist the charms of her handsome, sexy, wise in the ways of the music industry manager Hunter. If their love story was the only thing this story covered, it would have been a pretty good one, but Goldwyn delved deep into her personal experiences on the road to provide us with a tale about life on the road that rings true then she follows up with a family drama an a series of life and death incidents that will tug at your heartstrings.
This story has something for everyone and was a very enjoyable read.

What an incredible journey and opportunity for Callie as she is able to pursue her passion and dream for music and doing that with Hunter was icing on the cake.

I adored the characters they are well written and thought out, their story takes you on a ride of your life with suspense, danger, love and so much emotion it consumes you you get it all and I couldn't put it down. It sucks you in and are invested in these characters right to the end.

Ms. Goldwyn’s book Rock Star takes you on a journey into the life of a rising rock star. She has great character development and you can feel the emotions, as if you too were traveling the journey with Callie and her manager, Hunter. The romance between them is believable and the sex steamy. It is a page-turner that will keep you on your toes from the first page.
