I am happily married to my husband of almost nine years and have two wonderful children.
I have always loved reading and writing and am thrilled to have published my first novel.
Paranormal romance is my go to genre and the genre I prefer to write in. I love the unique feel of creating an entirely different world and implementing it into the human verse.

Gray de Bethany Shaw Serie Untamed Warriors libro 1
Argumento:
Aurora
He estado huyendo durante seis años. Mis padres me vendieron cuando era niña como esclava, donde me vi obligada a ser cortesana del Imperio de Orión. No volveré. Pero cometí un error que podría costarme la libertad. Confié en el tipo equivocado. Gray era encantador y amable. Estaba empezando a enamorarme de él.
Resulta que solo me estaba usando hasta que apareciera la caballería para llevarme de regreso al palacio.
Ahora no puedo sacudirlo.
I got the first three stories in this series on kindle unlimited and they sounded interesting. I read this one, and it wasn’t bad, the storyline was okay, but I had trouble liking the writing style. I started the second book in the series, but I have lost interest in it, so it’s a DNF at this stage, again the writing style is putting me off.
DNF -Quit at 10% There is no background/worldbuilding, by 10%, I was so confused of what was going on. Who, what, where, when, why, sort of thing. I felt like I missed a prequel, or that maybe this splintered off from another series or something that had the background. I had no idea why she was wanted, or even how a human is in space with some weird pheromone driving men crazy, or how she has more going on for her as a human in space that she can take down some bad guys like they were nothing. Anyway, it was hard for me to get into this -to be able to appreciate the story.
At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
A really well written sci-fi easy to read plenty of action and adventure with a HEA and the promise of a continuing series. Demons have been introduced into the paranormal genre, and have a number of different abilities, in this fascinating novel 2 very special people are tracked through numerous galaxies as they try to disappear, both having bounties on their head with certain people who are in position of power, going all out to find them. Grey and Aurora find themselves drawn to each other, even though they are meant to be enemies, can the intense feelings they have keep them safe and together. Ms Bethany Shaw has done a magnificent job of creating a storyline that gives us plenty of mystery surrounding these two characters, plus the fear and anxiety woven throughout the adventurous challenges they face certainly gives us a mouthwatering action packed storyline full of emotions and suspense, giving both Grey and Aurora every opportunity to find what they have been looking for, a home.
Aurora was a courtesan for the Orion empire, not by choice, she was sold by her parents because of her gifts. With a touch she can influence anyone male or female. For that reason she never wants anyone to touch her after she escaped from Orion. Gray approaches her to enlist the aid of her n her crew members. He keeps trying to tell her who his employer is but she cuts him off every time. She somehow feels safe around him for the first time in her life. When she finds out he's a daemon, she runs, but he constantly tracks her n her crew. She doesn't know how he does it until he finally corners her on her ship. They have to escape in a pod when her ship is attacked by Orion. The pod goes thru a wormhole n ends up on Earth. What a dilemma n salvation as Gray finds his family.
Well developed tho predictable in a couple places. All in all, enjoyable but I have major complaints about the finished product. Seemed the whole thing was dictated without benefit of either proofreader or editor. I hate having to punctuate as I read, it slows me down and shatters the illusion of being immersed in that world. Constant use of weary when wary was intended or quiet in place of quite (for example - there are others) makes it seem as though the author doesn’t have a grasp of grammar and language. This may seem trifling to those who just skim through looking for specific scenes (I see you on Facebook!) but for me, it rendered an effort that was animated rather than “authentic”.
When Aurora meets Gray, she thinks he is a simple ex-slave, until she discovers the truth about who he really is. Two ex-slaves, they find themselves on the run from the oppressive Orion leaders, trying desperately to stay alive.
This was a great sci-fi romance, and it was refreshing to see Earth portrayed as a good place for a change! Aurora has been through a lot; a former sex slave, her new life has given her the freedom she never knew and Gray has connections to her former owner/abusers. A former slave himself, Gray was luckier than Aurora, but he’s been desperately trying to help the rebellion. It all adds up to romance, sex, danger, adventure, and the discovery of things they both thought lost forever!
An enjoyable read for those who enjoy sci-fi romance.
Gray was an escaped slave from the king But the the prince’s son had accepted as a brother and they trying to get support for a rebellion against the king when he approached Aurora for help. The small crew that she was on were all wanted by the king with her being an escaped slave also. But Aurora and Gray couldn’t deny their feelings until she realized who he was and ran. Then they were on a journey full of danger, surprises and revelations that couldn’t possibly be imagined leaving them marooned on the one planet that Gray came from, earth. Reunions, deceptions more danger and resolutions are made while on their stay. Exciting read.
I enjoyed this story. It was a romance with a scifi bent and a surprise or two added for fun. It made me laugh a few times and have my fingers crossed that Gray and Aurora would figure things out and survive to the end without too much damage. A quick fun cute story that made me laugh and had some steam to it but it was not the main focus. A good first book in the series that I want to read more of to see what happens next. Enjoyed all the characters introduced here and cannot wait to see more.
I really liked the hero and the heroine in this sci-fi romance. They were both deeply sympathetic characters. The world building was good too. The plot had tons of action and high stakes, which I usually enjoy. I was a little weirded out by this particular combination of sci-fi and paranormal, but I still enjoyed the story. I am now off to borrow book 2.
I absolutely love the first book in this new series. Against all odds, Aurora and Gray found each other although it was a little challenging in the beginning. Aurora didn't trust Gray initially because of who he was but she eventually found he was on her side fighting against the Orions. Then they found themselves back on Earth with family and the people fighting on their side against the Orions. Love blossomed quickly between them. I'm looking forward to reading Loc now!
New to this author, and I admit I enjoyed this story. Interesting world being developed. Both main characters were well rounded and likeable. Heart breaking stories for them both. Lots of action and while there was smexy times for them, it didn't seem gratuitous at all, I look forward the next in this series. I read this via Kindle Unlimited, but consider it well worth anyone's time and $$.
I enjoyed reading this book, although I found the Orions to be cruel and terrifying aliens. The things poor Aurora went through should have broken her. I was glad that Gray not only loved her but cracked the shell she protected herself with. Hopefully they get their HEA because it seems like they are HFN.
I really enjoyed this introduction to the universe of Untamed Warriors. The world-building is great, with so many things that I want to explore. Bethany has done a great job writing characters that are interesting, and that develop as the story unfolds. The only thing I could perhaps want is a bit more steam.
I love a good romance and sci fi story and this one fits the bill perfect. With a rebellion going on can Gray keep Aurora , the woman he loves? Especially after he lost her trust but after going thru a wormhole they have to work together to survive. Loved this story. Hoping there is more to the series.
I really liked this book by Bethany Shaw. She is new to me and I was not disappointed in the story. She spun a story you could believe and get into. Can't wait for the next one.
GRAY is one book that’ll keep you on your toes and you won’t be able to put it down. I only found one word error, her instead of here and that was in the last chapter. I am going to be reading the next installment right now.
I didn’t like Gray. He comes out as a very selfish stalker, and the author couldn’t convince me that what they had wasn’t purely physical, no matter how many times they stated it was deeper. They hardly interacted before fucking, and then he proceeds to pursue her across the universe, putting her and her child in danger, using a power he didn’t disclose, under the excuse that “she didn’t want to talk about work”. He lied to her from the very beginning, how can you form a connection that is not physical with a liar? And he dares compare his two years experience in a military camp with her decade of experience as a courtesan as if they suffered the same, and he knows her because of it. Nope. And the world was utterly confusing. Most people are not described, I have no idea why they’re special, and it turns out MMC is from Earth! At one point it’s said some of the other characters look human, but others don’t, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what that meant. I didn’t even know how the MCs looked, other than she has braids and he has a scar. Somewhere in the middle it’s mentioned he has brown eyes and hair, but that’s all. There’s an evil empire, there’s a rebellion, but that’s all we know about them. There’s two princes, one is the son of the other, and their names are so similar that I thought they were the same person until they're mentioned in the same sentence together. There were some inconsistencies, like the fact fMC’s friends can repel an attack from several ships when they were taken down by one. The ship was in critical condition, so much so MCs had to take an escape pod, but days later the ship was in top shape. It’s never explained how. What’s more, they MODIFIED the ship, with new tech they got form out of their asses, I guess, because they also mention, over and over, how primitive Earth is compared to their technology. Her “pheromones” are never explained either, as if just the word was enough to explain, and they affect everyone but MMC, without any explanation as to why. Her life as courtesan wasn’t explored at all either, and there were some confusing and contradicting statements about it. There was a point where I just had to stop questioning things and disconnect my brain in order to finish this. I skimmed a good portion of it towards the end. I don’t understand the high rating. Oh, and the emergency C-section scene at the end was gruesome, triggering, and completely unnecessary.

4.5 stars. Aurora, the female lead, is an escaped pleasure slave from the palace of the ruler of her area of the galaxy. Gray, the male lead, is the bodyguard and friend of a prince, the nephew of said ruler but who is trying to overthrow him.
When Gray meets Aurora, they are instantly attracted to and become sexually involved with each other. Then she finds out who he is, not realising he’s on the same side of the fight as her and runs from him. Because of his psychic talent, he can trace her but, by the time he catches up, so has the empire.
The story is dual POV, well written, fast moving, and action filled. The characters were deeply engaging, though were (not unreasonably) deeply traumatised by past experiences that were glossed over as the story progressed. Their relationship development was lovely and the secondary characters and relationships were also emotionally touching. I’m looking forward to seeing where the author goes with this series. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review.
